The one possible bone I have to pick with Holly Black is in the QON Jude says that it's the second time that she and Cardan danced. The first time being minutes before the coronation bloodbath.

What about their dance at the Hunter's Moon revel ?!

Are we collectively forgetting that tension and the banter ?! Do we just ignore Cardan being so obvious with his feelings and Jude being completely oblivious ?!

Some things that stuck out at me after watching S6 of TDP

The guy who creates a child with Viren specifically to serve as a human sacrifice is motivated by rage against the unjust execution of his daughter? Something is off about the story, but clearly elements of it are true based on his treatment of Sol Regem and other things we've seen of the nature of magic in the story.

Love that the Luciferian aspect of Aaravos continues. I noticed that the darkening of his star appears to happen during his mourning period - I had wondered if perhaps there was some specific act he did that changed him from being star-coded to black hole-coded, seems like there isn't.

Ritual magic involving components exists that doesn't seem to qualify as "dark"? Callum and Claudia do exactly the same ritual, and there's no indication of darkness involved, though a precious object is destroyed. Makes one wonder where exactly the line between dark magic and regular magic exists if harnessing the magic of other beings is in fact OK.

Further proof Aaravos is a black hole/similar to a black hole in theory.

In season 3, he was going to teach Viren how to harvest and consume Zym and Zubeia. Reminder: Black holes consume matter.

When Aaravos says “I swallowed her”, he may mean that he took her essence and swallowed that. I may be delusional, but black holes consume matter, which includes stars. What is the sun? A star.

My lil overthinker self thinks that Aaravos might (keyword might) have used unorthodox methods to connect to primals, such as consuming those who already had a connection to the primal he was trying to connect to. Not saying this is exactly what happened but it is a possibility.

Because I developed Varrahel’s story, it implies some chara designs change.

Summarize — Varrahel is a Startouch Elf, born from a black hole around 3500 years ago. He has a twin brother who was born from a white hole. While Varrahel can only absorb, make disappear, thus cause destruction, his brother can create matter out of nothing. Envious of his brother ability to create, Varrahel went to Xadia, so full of Life. There, he developed an interest into humans, able to create so many things even without magic, and later, a particular fascination for dark magic which can both destroy and create at same time, seeming like a mixe of his own and his brother’s nature. During Elarion Era, Varrahel fell in love with a human who became his husband. After the destruction of Elarion and Human’s banishment, Varrahel and his husband built a house in the west, where they started to grow a garden. Varrahel kept cultivating the garden even long after his beloved was long passed. —

Trivia — When Varrahel casts spells, his colors goes darker, instead of brighter like other Startouch Folks. I still need to create a charter with all his chara designs. —

Muse reveal all about new album

Muse’s fourth sees the band getting political for the first time.

NME.COM visited the band as they completed mixing on their as-yet-untitled fourth record at London’s Sanctuary Townhouse Studios, and as well as the first listen to the new tracks, singer Matt Bellamy explained how this time, recent world events have influenced him.

“There’s a song on the album called ‘A Soldier’s Poem’, written from the perspective of a soldier, who kind of thinks ‘I’m out here risking my life, for what?’” he said.

Bellamy added that themes of impending apocalypse also visited on ‘Absolution’ are more specific this time round. “There is a theme on the album, it’s that kind of connection to the cycles of history where the tension builds up and then it’s released. Whether it’s catastrophic like a nuclear war, or whether aliens come down and it’s brilliant, but there’s definitely a sense that something big is about to happen.”

Decamping to south of France Muse recorded at Miraval Studios, before heading to New York to record the songs with long-time producer Rich Costey.

Virtually cut off without cars or television in France, Bellamy admitted the band were in danger of going “off the rails”, and enjoyed hitting the big city.

“I was going out dancing in clubs around New York,” said the singer. “That helped create tracks like ‘Supermassive Black Hole’. Franz (Fedinand) have done it very well, with that dance type beat going on mixed with alternative guitar and I’ve always wanted to find that.”

The currently untitled album is due out in July, with Bellamy is confident people will react to its more topical themes. “Some of the songs are directly informed by things that are going on at the moment,” he declared referencing the Iraqi war. “Which is something we’ve not really done before, but it’s impossible for anyone to ignore it.”
