PROLOGUE

Ever since i was a kid, I could remember the townsfolk around me praising me for my silly magic: " Wow, Y/N! you're really living up to the Hanabi name"

I never understood if they were making fun of me for my name and magic or if they were actually impressed by my childish magic, either way I played along: I acted nice and thankful to them, entertaining them with my fireworks and putting on a show for those who were so unfortunate to not own enough magic. As I grew up, I kept seeing my magic as stupid and useless, but everything changed when that woman from the land of the sun stumbled in our hostel.

"Uhm, excuse me, are there rooms available?"

That woman was beautiful, with long silky black hair, and her deep black eyes had a shape that could make the prettiest woman in the world jealous. She was so different, yet it was impossible not to find her beautiful. Even I ,a 6 year old, found her attractive.

Time passed by, and that woman never left, Mizuki was her name, and she said it meant hope. Hope is a concept that she embraced wholeheartedly. Being able to survive the trip from the land of the sun to the clover kingdom was a miracle, and thanks to it, she regained the strength to "hope." Mizuki taught me a lot about her homeland, and I was so fascinated by it. Not only that, but she also helped me work my magic with her knowledge and with her "hope."

"Your magic, it reminds me a lot of festivals back home," She spoke softly: "It's a very unique attribute. I think you'll become a great mage Y/N-chan!" .

I scoffed. Me? A great mage? As if, I'm a lowly commoner with the stupid magic of creating silly sparkles. Yet she was so convinced of herself that I almost believed it for a moment. Time passed, and I grew, and Mizuki never left. To be honest, I was glad. She was the first person who was true to me.

I was 14 now. One year left before i could get my grimoire. I was walking home when I saw Mizuki walking out of the town with her bags. I froze.

"Mizuki! Please, wait. "

She turned around, and in that moment, my memories of her arrival here came back in my mind.

Even if i didn't notice, she had changed so much. Her long silky black hair was now short and not as beautiful as it once was, her clothing from the traditional clothes of her land to the rowdy commoner clothes of the clover kingdom. The only things that didn't change were her piercing, unique black eyes that, to my surprise, were swelling in tears as she took in the vision of me.

My vision was blurry, my lips started to pout, and i could feel something ticklish and wet falling down my cheek. Mizuki dropped her bags, froze for a second, and then started sprinting towards me. I knew what was coming, so instinctively, I opened my arms, waiting for her embrace. One that had conforted me for 7 years, the same one that made me feel safe and happy.

" Y/N-chan, I am so sorry. I never meant to leave you like this, but my homeland has summoned me back, and I still have a duty to fulfil back there." She stopped for a second as she sobbed uncontrollably. "My dear, I'll miss you so much. These years have been the greatest of my life, and with you, I sealed a bond no magic will ever break. So please. Never forget me and know that I will be back!"

" I hope so, Mizuki!"

The feeling of her embrace was one I could not forget. She was gone, but her touch was still on my skin.

I walked back into my family's hostel, and I was met by my relatives wearing gloomy faces. They, too, had a bond with the foreigner. I went up to my room, reminiscing on everything I could have done with Mizuki or everything i should have told her. When I noticed a medium-sized box on my bed, next to it laid a letter titled : To my Dear Y/N. The letter was signed by Mizuki, so i took no second thoughts and immediately opened it.

Inside, the letter read:

Dear Y/N, I'm sorry for leaving so abruptly, but there are just many things in my country that I yet need to discover. Over the years, we have built an amazing bond, a string that no matter how strong the magic it will never break us apart. A string that will always lead us back to one another. That is my hope.

Even if it takes us a hundred years, we will meet again, and for me to recognise you From Afar i gift you this piece of clothing from my country. It is a modified piece to be more comfortable in battle because I know you will become the strongest mage in the whole kingdom of clover. In the occasion that it happens, I ask you not to forget your values nor me, the same way as I will never forget you, my darling.

As of now, there isn't much for me to say, I hope you don't despair for me because I don't want my beautiful sparkle to loose it's fire. Whatever happens, just know I will protect you From Afar Y/N-chan.

I stared at the letter for a few minutes before little water droplets started to fall on the paper. I hated crying it was a way to express weakness, yet I couldn't stop my tears from overflowing in my eyes.

I sat there in silence a few second, the only thing you could hear were my short sobs and my breath hitches. Then, I decided to open the box.

Inside was a kimono, but it was different from the ones she wore: It didn't have a skirt and the ends of it were very loose; even the top was loose which was weird since she taught me that wearing the kimono incorrectly was just offensive and rude yet here it was an immodest kimono wow. Ironic Mizuki. The sleeves started very tight and after the elbow it got insanely large. Even if this was VERY modified, it still looked cool. The whole cloth was mainly a dark red adorned with traditional cloud motives and the bottom of the sleeves had red hibiscus flowers on them.

Next to the kimono sat many other things: An obi alongside an obi-age and an obi-shime, a big headpiece with a bow and somesort of upside down small fan? That's what it looked like. And huge wooden sandals, which I'm pretty sure the sole was a bit too big.

" Thank you, Mizuki "

Even when she was going to abandon me, she still thought of leaving something for me to wear in the future. That woman is full of kindness in her heart.

We'll meet again someday, I know it

An old-fashioned ghost story about a roadside ghost that gets slightly interrupted by the fact that a passenger on this bus has her own ghost.

Walpurgis Nacht

“In 1876, in the Harz mountains in Saxon Germany, a dark court takes possession of a ruined castle overlooking a village, led by a lady all in red. Technically Walpurgis Nacht is in April, but we’ve got vampires and haunted mountains and the Pied Piper, so I think it works just fine.

The Salvage of Eaten Things

A little bit of dark fantasy/cosmic horror in which a vampire hunter stumbles into a much bigger summoning, and it takes a vampire king and his allies to rescue him.

More cosmic horror, this one more Cold War-ish sort of era. Sometimes, even for vampires accustomed to facing eldritch horrors, it’s humans who can still be perturbing.

My love letter to Godstiel <3 gone too soon

The lyrics over these images are: "Eins, hier kommt die Sonne, Zwei, hier kommt die Sonne." (One, here comes the sun, two, here comes the sun.) "Drei, sie ist der hellste Stern von allen, Vier, und wird nie vom Himmel fallen." (Three, it is the brightest start of all, four, and will never fall from heaven/the sky.) You've mentioned a bit of your ice skating AU headcanons elsewhere, so could I ask that you expand on headcanons for Nacht and Finral in the AU (my favorite elder brother characters in the series)? If it's too much to ask for two characters, then just Nacht please?

Thank you so much for the LPoL ask. I'm so happy to expand on your favorite older brother characters and spill a bit more about them.

There are overall story head canons and some typical hockey ones.

I'm also explaining the water bottle thing right away. All of the Bulls have the same water bottles, so to not mix them up Yami ordered them to add stickers on top of them.

Nacht:

Nacht is a vice captain of the Black Bulls hockey team

He’s an attacker playing center

At uni he used to play left wing with his twin brother Morgen as the right one

His stick is a black color and he uses dark blue tape on the toe and the handle

Sadly he needs to tie his hair in a low ponytail, because the high one doesn’t fit under his helmet

He always wraps his shoelaces around the skates and prefers to have them very tight

His water bottle has a fang sticker, 

Nacht specialises in quick wrist shots

during the games Nacht is actually the one who takes the lead and makes sure the players behave on the bench and switch at the right times

Nacht doesn’t have a celebratory ritual after scoring

Finral:

Plays left wing attack for the Black Bulls hockey team

He’s partnered with Zora, who plays right wing in the line with him

He is not that great at scoring, prefers to support his teammates and let them take the finals shots

He got into hockey to get girls, which didn’t work since he is a Black Bull

He tapes his stick in a classical black and yellow Bulls tape

His shoelaces are green and instead of tying the ends around his skates he sticks them under the laces (he tripped only few times…)

Vanessa assistant coach of the team is his best friend, she helps him practice 

Finral really wanted to put stickers of some pretty girls on his water bottle, but he could not choose one, so Vanessa solved the problem for him sticking a little chubby angel which had left over from Christmas 

His hair gets really flattened when he puts his helmet on, so he decided to dye some parts green and they draw more attention than the sweaty mess

When somebody actually allows him to play music during practice he goes for Megan Trainor 

Poor Finral tends to be the one who has to pick up the pucks

Nothing To Worry About

Summary Even though it was actually nothing to worry about, the fact that Nozel Silva of all people was the mysterious boyfriend of Vanessa was still a shock for Gauche and Magna.

A/N Just a little something I wrote some time ago because I wanted some Nozessa fluff and funny interaction with some other Black Bulls. I apologize if Gauche and Magna might be a bit OOC.

As fast as he could and as fast as royalty allowed him too, Nozel ran towards the Magic Knights Headquarters. He didn’t care if he looked stupid or if he surprised people by his unusual behaviour, all he wanted was to get to the Headquarters infirmary. There was someone he wanted to see. No, someone he needed to see.

Back at the Silver Eagles base, he heard two of his junior knights talking, about a Black Bull wounded by a dungeon mission. Thankfully, it wasn’t his sister.

But it was the other Black Bull he cared about…

Maybe Nozel was overreacting. It wouldn’t be the first time in his life. And they already went over more difficult, risky hurdles than a simple wound from a basic dungeon mission. There should be nothing to worry about.

But it was the first time he was in love. Deeply and unconditionally in love. He almost lost her more than once and after everything they went through, Nozel refused to risk to lose Vanessa ever again.

He saw some knights looking stunned at him as he reached the Magic Knights Headquarters. Of course they were. They never saw Nozel Silva, captain of the Silver Eagles and Head of House Silva, acting like this. Running and looking distressed.

But again, Nozel didn’t care. Vanessa was important to him right now, not his stupid status and how he should act accordingly to it. He was sick of those expectations, he was tired of how the nobles watching every of his steps, in hope to find one nit-picking mistake they could transform into a big one they could use for their schemes.

When he reached the infirmary, Nozel wasn’t surprised to see two Black Bulls here. The members of this squad always took shifts when one of them was wounded on a mission and needed to be healed. Something Nozel appreciated about the Black Bulls, but of course, he would never tell Yami. Not to mention that Yami never took shifts, for all he knew.

The two Black Bull present were Gauche Adlai and Magna Swing. Nozel knew them, he informed himself about each member before putting Noelle there and Vanessa talked so much about her squadmates, of course he knew them well at this point.

But their conversation actually surprised Nozel.

“It’s your turn to take shifts, I have rendez-vous with my angel, which is more important!”

“No, it is your turn, Asta said so and I need to go with Yami to a gambling!”

“Asta said nothing like this! He couldn’t even, he has a day off and he’s currently visiting his family in Hage with his rival Yuno!”

“Details, he would have said that if he were here!”

“Hell no! And besides, Nacht decided that you should take the first shift!”

“He wasn’t at the Hideout for four months for now!”

“Like you said, details!”

Nozel fight the urge facepalm. Seriously, shouldn’t they focusing on watching Vanessa instead of arguing and trying to get out of their duty? Nothing should be more important than taking care of Vanessa right now!

Okay, Nozel was probably a bit biased, because it was his girlfriend resting in this infirmary right now. But still, taking care of a fellow knight, even more so one of your own squad, should be more important than buying a toyshop empty or losing all your salary in gambling!

Nozel would have preferred if another Black Bull would have taken the first shift. Finral Vaude, who married lady Finesse last month, he was Vanessas best friend, after all. That girl Nero, who could transform into a bird. Noelle of course and Asta too. Why not Charmy even, who would give the best food for Vanessa to recover?

Sighing deeply, Nozel decided to let those two continue to argue and enter the room. All he wanted was just to see Vanessa, to stay at her side until she recovers. Passing Gauche and Magna, he opened the door, went in and closed quickly behind him.

“Honey!”

Vanessa already sat up on her bed, spreading her arms towards him. Nozel didn’t hesitate. Within the next seconds, he was already sitting on the bed, hugging his beloved tightly against him.

“Are you alright? You haven’t been too reckless, right? How is the wound? I’m sorry, do I hold you too tightly?”

“Nozel, please, I’m not made of porcelain. It’s just a superficial wound… Okay, it’s a bit deep, I have to stay here for the night. But with the treatment Owen gave me, I will be already back to normal tomorrow.”

“That’s good news,” Nozel just muttered, caressing her bandaged arm softly. It was really not a big deal, if this was the wound and if she could leave tomorrow.

But still, he couldn’t help but worry a bit. Vanessa of course felt it, because she took his hand and blow a kiss on his palm. One of her many ways to comfort him.

“Nozel, there is really nothing to worry about. We already went through much more terrible things together and we have won. This puny wound is nothing compared to it.”

“I know… I’m sorry for overreacting. It’s just… I want to be here for you.”

Vanessa smiled, before leaning up and kissed him softly on the lips. Nozel gave in, savouring the sweet taste of her mouth. He never could get enough of her kisses. Actually he could never get enough of Vanessa entirely. If he could, he wouldn’t hesitate to give her the world.

“I never say no for spending time with you, honey,” she whispered as they parted. “And besides,” Vanessa added with a smirk, “right now you’re better company than Gauche and Magna out there.”

“Wasn’t it decided who took the first shift? I would be much happier if someone more capable would look after you.”

“You’re someone more capable,” Vanessa giggled, making him blush. “But seriously, but Gauche and Magna are capable. When they want, but since my wound isn’t a big deal… Actually, Gordon should have taken the first shift, but a sudden mission apparently popped in and he asked those two if one of them could take over for him. Gauche and Magna still came, as you see, but they still disagree on who should take it.”

“At least, it means they care for you,” Nozel muttered, looking at the door, unsure how to feel about Gauches and Magnas behaviour.

“In their own quirky ways. But you’re a special case of caring for me, you’re my boyfriend.”

She kissed him again and Nozel gave in, not caring anymore about the two Black Bulls outside.

Vanessa was in his arms, she was fine, her wound wasn’t that horrible and he would be able to spend all time with her until she was on her feet again. He couldn’t wish for more right now.

Nozel had no idea how long they kissed and cuddled, but in his agenda, it had still be too short when the door of the infirmary room opened loudly.

“WHAT THE HECK!”

Nozel and Vanessa parted a bit of each other, but without letting go completely, to look at the two intruders.

Gauche and Magna seemed to have forgotten their argument. Instead, they were no looking at the couple as if they saw Asta giving up.

“What, never saw a couple making out before?” Vanessa casually asked, before kissing Nozel again.

It wasn’t as if they keep their relationship a secret. At least, not anymore. A while ago, they had started to came out of secrecy step by step and a bunch of people were already aware of their relationship. Some Black Bulls as well, but not the majority. Gauche and Magna were part of that majority.

“Wait, I thought you were dating some creepy bastard merchant from the Black Market!” Magna exclaimed in disbelief.

“And I thought you had an affair with some married noble jerk who kept you a secret from his wife,” Gauche added, for once not focusing on a picture of his little sister.

Nozel frowned as he turned towards them. The two Black Bulls shivered at his cold glare.

“You know Vanessa better than that. She still has her pride, she wouldn’t date a scoundrel or noble committing adultery.”

Well, honestly, Nozel was still not sure if he was a better person than that. But Vanessa helped him so much to stop thinking so little of himself and he knew that there was some kind of persons she would never date due to past experiences.

Vanessa giggled, before hugging Nozel from behind. “Well, we did talk about telling you guys. Of course, not like this, but well, here we are. Just don’t tell Yami yet, We’d rather want to announce our relationship to him ourselves.”

“Relationship,” Magna repeated, clearly trying to understand the significance of that word. “Wait, are we the first to know?”

Nozel shook his head and Vanessa added even in a giggle, “Not even the first of the Black Bulls.”

“Wait, who knows?” Gauche asked, still in shock.

“Nero, Gordon, Finral, Zora for very special reasons he will tell you when the time is right, Noelle-“

“Wait, Noelle knows?” Magna screamed. “But… that’s her brother!”

“I am very aware of the obvious family bonds I share with my sister, thank you very much,” Nozel just said, pinching the bridge of his nose in annoyance. He really would have preferred if another Black Bull would find out. That shy girl Grey, for example.

Vanessa laughed at his statement, while kissing his cheek.

“Gross,” Gauche muttered, for which Vanessa throw a pillow at his face. “Geez, Wino, what was that for?”

“I’m very open, but I don’t accept showing affection for my boyfriend being called gross.”

“I would gladly appreciate if you won’t call my girlfriend Wino, Adlai,” Nozel added, looking sternly at Gauche, who gulped. “Vanessa might not care about it, but I won’t tolerate kindly that you call her like that in front of me. I’m not sure that Grey would like your attitude either, even though she likes you a lot.”

“Wait… how do you… Vanessa!”

“What? Nozel knows how much I care about you all, so he asks me how you’re going and I tell him everything, of course. Nothing to worry about.”

“Everything?” Magna asked in fear.

“Yes. And for your information, Swing, betting your own grimoire at gambling isn’t a smart move. How can you properly continue to use magic without a grimoire, especially as a Magic Knight?”

“But captain Yami does it as well and he-“

“I won’t deny that even Yami has a lot of qualities, but his gambling habit are not part of it. You two should stop giving Finral Vaude such a headache and you should be grateful he does his best for your squad.”

Vanessa smiled happily at the compliment given to her best friend. Magna looked like he hesitated between fighting back or keeping it quiet. Because even he had to admit that captain Yamis gambling habit wasn’t really an example to follow.

“Who is taking the next shift,” Nozel asked in a defeated sigh.

“Um… Noelle, captain Nozel.”

“Good, she doesn’t need any explanation. You two can go now, I’ll stay with Vanessa until she’s better. And yes, I intend to stay here the whole night.”

The two Black Bulls only nodded, Magna even saluted, before they both quickly left the room. And the infirmary.

“Honey, maybe you have frightened them a bit right now,” Vanessa giggled.

“I’m sorry.”

“Nothing to worry about, they’ll survive it. Now, little Eagle, can you please continue to cuddle me, please? It’s maybe not much, but I still need to be taken care of.”

Nozel smiled. It was generally difficult for him to resist Vanessa, but it was basically impossible when she did her adorable kitty eyes. He pressed his lips on hers, holding her against him.

Aha... So I kinda forgot that this ask was in my inbox for a few days. But hey! Now I'm getting to it! Sorry to make you wait, Anon!

Hopefully, getting the answers you seek will satisfy you.

(For anyone who doesn't know what Anon is talking about, I made this post a few days back where I shared some of my favorite characters and explained their similarities.)

Now, onto the answers.

First off, are Nacht and Morgen Faust. The people who frequent my blog are most definitely already familiar with these two. They are my ultimate blorbos. Do not separate me from them. Anyways, they're from the manga and anime series Black Clover.

They're both introduced during the Spade Invasion arc so for any anime only-s out there, they don't get that much presence. In the manga though, oh boy is there stuff happening for those two!

The lovely redhead I shared is Karma, from the dating sim Cinderella Phenomenon (and the fandisc Evermore).

I had so much fun when I played his route the first time. And OOOOHHHH! His story in the fandisc! And I think it's thanks to Karma that my love for weapon wielding love interests was solidified.

The next (and only other) pair of characters from the same media are Saint Germain and Herlock Sholmés. They come from the dating sim Code Realize series (there's the original game "Guardian of Rebirth" along with two fandiscs, an anime adaptation, and a stage musical).

Their backstories are so tragic and I want only the best for them. The few moments when they're both on screen make me giddy, no joke. Also, I never thought I'd be into guys who wear top hats but then these two exist!

The next character, Paschalia, is from the dating sim Radiant Tale (which had its fandisc [Radiant Tale Fanfare] released in English just this summer!).

I binged his route in one night and he's changed my brain chemistry~! I'm honestly putting off replaying his route for the good ending because I want to forget as much as possible and relive his story as fresh as I can.

The next character I shared was Kageyuki Shiraishi, from the dating sim Collar x Malice.

He's such a funny little guy with his love of cats and inability to understand basic human decency. He's also very sad and his Tragic Love End has art that punched me in the gut, shook me down for cash, and then lovingly kissed me on the head before walking off.

Lucas Proust from Virche Evermore: Error Salvation. (Also, not to brag but I pre-ordered the fandisc Epic Lycoris which I'm very much looking forward to this autumn.)

He literally gets done so dirty by the writers of the game. I want to fix his situation but I also want to see him continue to suffer because his misery is kinda beautiful.

Bringing in style from the Kyoho era is Kinji from the game Winter's Wish: Spirits of Edo.

It's actually been a while since I've played Winter's Wish and Kinji's route specifically since I'm trying to complete, like, five games at once. But I do remember kicking my feet and giggling at the fluffy romance scenes.

Next there's Orlok from the games Piofiore: Fated Memories and Piofiore: Episodio 1926.

He's such an adorable assassin! And he kills for the sake of the church he belongs to! Don't worry, he gets better. He's the love interest that gets Fuegoleon-ed in his good ending.

A literal angel of a man. So beautiful and divine and helpless and clueless. Also, very adorable that he has a love for dating sims while being a dating sim love interest.

Lucius WILL get shot in the foot: The Theory

Haven't done one of these in a while, mostly because of university projects and newly appointed bachelor thesis. But I stay silly with black clover theories.

Lucius not being EXACTLY the big bad but more so a placeholder seems to be kinda obvious, but mostly not because of story relevance (which will be discussed later) but also religion relevance.

To first state, if Lucius is REALLY going hard with the Puritanical/Christian vibes, then we know for a fact his "angels are made from humans with purified devil hearts and brainwashing" has one massive hole in the boat. And that's how demons are "defined" in Christianity.

The idea of demons/devils being an inherently evil force is something that came much later in writing, to the point where the devils we've prior to the arc could be less "demonic forces of evil" and more "spirits of human malice, trying to get back into the human realm". This is because originally, demons were originally angels who betrayed other angels.

With this, it fits into the idea of "obviously paladins are angels because they're the so called "traitors" now purified and back on the side of "God"/Lucius"." Whether the soul magic implements a counter in the form of fear, guilt or something else, we're sticking with fear because while Puritans primarily use shame, the Fear Of God and Hell has been technically unanimous in Christian cult practices.

The PROBLEM is that this has all the possibility of "History Is A Flat Circle" Phenomenon. One of the paladins may or may not betray Lucius/snap out of the soul magic pressure. We've SEEN with sister Lily that, if forced to fight someone they care about, they WILL have a mental breakdown over it and unconsciously skirt around Lucius' orders. Sister Lily claimed she didn't actually send Asta to safety, which means she's either lying (more fuel for being able to resist soul magic to some extent) or Beelzebub is somehow pressing magic buttons without Lily knowing (more fuel to the possibility of devil takeover).

While Lily herself wasn't able to bust out, the criteria for that may be the fact that she is still alive. Lily never te hnically experienced death, and if that was a focal point of pressure from soul magic (ie punishment for refusal of orders is dying) then naturally she's still bound by human instinct and the amygdala in her brain to follow orders.

Morgen and Acier may very well be built different. Both have the mental fortitude to break away from it, the incentive to break from it and have previously died and been brought back to life, which has undoubtedly messed up their internal fear receptors.

Acier literally fought Vanica until near death and didn't mentally let up for the whole time, then slowly and painfully died while being unable to protect her children, which is an adamant show of willpower. She's then REVIVED and pit against the very children she, as a mother, swore to protect. If ridiculous feats such as hysterical strength activate in parents to protect their kids, its likely Acier will pull a break on the ride, either by pure willpower or sheer restraint.

Morgen comes from a devil-host bloodline and has acted quickly in front of Lucifugus, while Nacht was pretty much frozen in shock/fear. He also refrained from snitching on his parents for god knows how long, showing that he's rejected authority before. NOW, he's forced to kill fellow magic Knights and is pit against Yami, one of his closest friends. Morgen is arguably as fucked up in the head as Nacht, so messy mental gymnastics are likely to somehow make him counter the soul magic. While I don't have confidence it'll happen against Yami, I do have faith it'll happen against Nacht. Plus, with Lucifugus as his devil choice, we might see this motherfucker whisper shit like how he's gonna kill his brother the same way Lucifugus did to his family and if that's not gonna cause a scene, idk what will.

While I don't know what devil Acier has, assuming it's something connected with metal or supporting it, we know for a fact that Morgen's magic ties in with the biggest angelic traitor out there, Lucifer ie Mister Light Bringer Himself. So Morgen Betrayal is VERY likely.

On top of that, do these eyes look like the face of someone who is Mentally Well? No, look at him.

Look at those fucking eye bags, that's the face of someone who's about to make Bad Decisions In Front of God. He's done it before, he'll do it again.

This would in turn make a whole ass circle of Devils>> Purified Devils>> Paladins>> Traitor Paladins>> Demons. Literally 5 steps in the equation.

The problem THIS proceeds is that we don't know if Soul Magic is ALSO keeping the Supreme Devil Bastards in check. We KNOW from Zagred AND Megicula's creative asses that, if given a freestyle like magic, you CAN regenerate from just a heart.

Whether it's limited to the magic or whether the space around it works, we don't know. Luciferos heart didn't regenerate, probably because eof his magic type being very limited or because he no longer proper vessel (his was made out of other devils, and Zagred's was imperfect, so probably not limited to having "devil flesh").

So either you can regenerate with just a heart or you need find another vessel.

The problem this creates is that we have devils who can either possess ex paladins (Morgen and maybe Acier in Risk range) or have devils that can regenerate from scratch (I smell Morris and undoubtedly Lucius falls here).

This will put Lucius on the fucken spot because of Astaroth. Dipshit eternal himself had his magic lost but we SAW that time magic has the ability to regenerate/turn back time to the original state it was in a la Julius.

This points back to the thematic arcs, that show Lucius is not the final FINAL boss of the arc. Astaroth is.

It falls into the two criteria we can put into this:

1. Behind each, seemingly human bastard manipulator is a bigger, more demonic, more manipulative devil bastard. (Patri >> Zagred), (Dark Triad >> Megicula, Beelzebub, Lucifero) (Lucius>> Astaroth).

2. Each Demonic Bastard will get more and more Personal Beef With Asta, in backwards chronological order. (Zagred >> turned Lichts grimoire into a 5 leaf, which later became Asta's grimoire (15)), (Lucifero>> killed Asta's mom, locking Liebe in the grimoire and essentially starting a domino effect to his defeat by Asta (5~10?)) (Astaroth>> Something Undoubtedly Cursed or Related to his Birth Or The Reason He's Manaless (0~5??))

In other words, when the shoe drops, it'll drop a ton. And if becomes a mess because Lucius was never even in control but only ever just following instructions, well, it'll at least be funny.

Black Clover ch370

First new chapter of the year and I dunno if I should be thrilled or scared with how fast time seems to fly. Before we jump back into the extreme battle though, we get this nice colored double page. It's most likely due to all the HSR on my mind lately, but seeing all the coins and casino games just makes me think of Aventurine and Penacony.

No matter how many months it's been, Rill will always have artistic beauty on his mind as usual, but great to see him, William and Charlotte still alive and well. Um, as well as they can possibly be anyways.

It's been far too long but all the Bulls finally make it to the battlefield and I can see if any of my team-up predictions were correct. At the moment I can't really tell where this group is heading, or perhaps they're going to deal with these Lucius clones first and then help other squads, but I do like that Secre and Zora are nearby. I hope they have another combo moment like they did during the Spade arc. Kudos to Finral as always for his portals as well.

Right away I'm wrong with who I thought Charmy and Gauche would assist, with Charmy being summoned along with the previous group and Gauche helping Rill instead. And I know I shouldn't be surprised to see Marie as Gauche's side, but she is so young dude! Why are we bringing your beloved sister to such an intense fight like this? I get he might wanna personally protect her and there's a slim chance that maybe her magic could provide a little help, but still dangerous! Anyways, I was right about one team-up and I'm so incredibly thankful it was about Vanessa going to help Noelle! I thought Charmy would've joined too to supply Rogue with an endless amount of mana, but Grey is a good choice too with her and our beautiful witch being at an arcane stage. This seriously pleases me so very much, knowing that the Noelle and her siblings will have a better chance at surviving with these two squad-mates around. (also giving me so much hope that Vanessa might sorta interact with a certain silver captain. hmm? please??)

Seeing Gordon assist William and Charlotte is so smart though and I'm mad the possibility didn't even cross my mind at first, like duh, of course he's best around people with curses. Then Ichika and Nacht once again supporting Yami but we knew that. Still excited to see how our vice captain will handle dealing with Morgen.

I'm realizing now how many double spreads this chapter has and they're all wonderful. I haven't a clue on who Henry is helping out or if he's just thrashing random clones and heavenly angels but go off king! Our chaotic duo loves to see it too.

Slowly but surely making progress up towards Lucius' real body I suppose. It's always a good day when we see the brothers fight alongside one another. I can practically hear Haruka Mirai playing on full blast already and all my love for this series is swarming right back to me. Hell, I might re-watch it all again soon just for fun.

Usually I'm over here expressing my hopes and wishes for next chapter, but surprisingly, we were blessed with two this month. Hang on.
