Hi Blèine I'm so glad you asked!!! It was very difficult to chose just 3 but here we go:

obviously hairless cats. they might be my least favorite type of cat but they are still cats which makes them automatic faves!!!

then i had to include naked mole rats, obviously

and orcas! i did not factcheck if they are hairless but i'm just going to assume that they are bc they don't look very floofy to me!!

35. Aisle at the grocery store you never bother walking down?

hmmm I usually walk down most aisles just because of FOMO, the only one I usually skip is the one with all the alcoholic drinks and the wine selections etc. because I don't need stuff from there that often because I don't drink that much, especially not at home.

54. Do you decorate your house for holidays? Which ones?

Not really! Unless I'm hosting some holiday-related event I don't really decorate for holidays. I do own a big box of holiday decorations though, mostly christmas and easter stuff that I haven't put out in over 10 years now probably. I used to have a tiny fake christmas tree but I gave it to my grandma, so now I decorate it for her at her flat. Sometimes I take out my christmassy candles in december but that's about it.

Top 5 types of food? (I need some recommendations for lunch.)

hahahah ok so the urge to reply with cat food brands was strong but I'll behave:

1. POTATOES!!! Po-ta-toes! Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew. Lovely big golden chips... no but I seriously love potatoes in all their different shapes and variations and I could eat them every day

2. In summer I love a good tsatsiki + salad + bread combo. No cooking means no unneccesary heat and fresh summer vegetables are just so good! (I also love a good roast potato + tsatsiki combo. Sometimes you really do just need to eat an entire cucumber in tsatsiki form...)

3. I've recently been obsessed with vegan burrito bowls

4. Vegan lasagne (made with red lentil sugo) is one of the GOATs!!

5. these have all been more or less summery foods but I am also very excited for SOUP SEASON!! pho!!!!!! my beloved most fave soup!!! but also ramen! and potato and leek soup!! tomato soup!! so many good soups just waiting for me as soon as the temperatures finally drop....

When I was in grad school, our department threw a party to welcome the new cohort each fall. One of the mandatory party games was Pin the Beard on the Marx. Go figure.

That is to say, when Remus reaches his older years, does he have a full bushy Marx beard? Can he pull that off? (Should he try to pull that off?)

okay first of all I'm obsessed with that game idea and now I desperately want to play Pin the Beard on the Marx too!!!!

secondly, thank you for these important questions!!!!! so glad u asked!!

I think as soon as Remus hits puberty, he gets so excited at the prospect of being able to grow a beard and sports that not-quite-there-yet mustache for a while, accompanied by random patchy chin stubble. Then, I think in his early-mid twenties his beard actually starts growing fuller and he thinks NOW IS THE TIME!! HE CAN FINALLY HAVE HIS MARX MOMENT!! HE IS THE MAIN CHARACTER!! But the texture of his beard is just never right, even when he tries to grow it out, it never feels as fluffy and luscious and beautiful as he imagines Karl's beard must've felt and it makes him very sad. :(

So he tries again when he has grey hair and is slowly starting to go bald and he finally has a grey beard and that's when he fully enters his Karl Marx era. He grows out his beard and his remaining hair and anytime someone tells him he resembles Karl Marx he gets so, so excited, it always makes his day. He spends so much time taking care of his beard, and making sure it looks effortlessly wild and untamed while it actually took a lot of work for it to look so marxist. James and Sirius think it's endearing, and they also grow their beards out for a while and it makes for some fun sexy role play times that makes them relive their youth.
