As part of this endeavor, marathon meetings were held in Jaipur on Wednesday evening. Central Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP's National President JP Nadda discussed election strategies with the core committee members of the state.
It is speculated that BJP may soon release the first list of its candidates for the Rajasthan elections.
What's Brewing in BJP's Strategy Meeting?
Regarding the legislative assembly elections, Nadda and Shah engaged in one-on-one conversations with all prominent leaders of the state. Following the meeting, Deputy Leader of Opposition Satish Poonia said, "A clear message has been conveyed to (us) to contest the elections vigorously and win them. We will make every effort to secure a majority for BJP."
As for when BJP will release the first list of candidates, Rajasthan BJP's Co-incharge, Vijaya Rahatkar, stated, "The party's parliamentary board will decide on this."
A Message of Unity - Shekhawat
After the meeting, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat mentioned that it was a clear signal from Prime Minister Modi that everyone should come together to fight the elections. Discussions also took place on all aspects of politics, elections, and the government's performance in the state. The meeting also addressed the issues faced by the public in Rajasthan. The central home minister and BJP's national chief held extensive discussions on how to conduct the elections and provided guidance accordingly. We will now work in that direction.
Meghwal's Critique of Gehlot
On the topic of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar's visit to Rajasthan, Central Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal questioned Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's statement, "Why is he coming now?" Meghwal asked whether the Vice President would seek permission to enter. He made these remarks during a government event in Bikaner, stating that engaging in politics on this matter is not appropriate.
Congress's Take on BJP's Preparations
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas took aim at BJP's preparations, saying, "... BJP is under pressure... The atmosphere that Congress has created, BJP's national leaders (are coming here). No matter how many discussions BJP holds, it won't change the fact that discussions on Rajasthan's model of development and progress are taking place across the country. BJP has raised issues like law and order and paper leaks. Our law and order situation is better than BJP-ruled states like Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. BJP has internal factions. They sidelined Vasundhara Ji, and now, they are having meetings, but it's too late... Congress will win and form the government in Rajasthan with a majority.

Congress Returns with a bang in Durg Municipal Corporation elections.
Almost after two decades Congress has made a grand return in Durg Municipal Corporation. Winning 38 out of 60 seats, restricting the BJP to only 12 seats where as the Independents got 10 seats and out of which be 7 are rebellions out of Congress. if the rebellion returns then the total talley for the Congress seats would be 45. This performance of the Congress is the best in all the municipal corporations of Chhattisgarh in the local body Elections 2019. State chief minister Bhupesh Baghel and Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee president Mohan markam congratulated all the winning corporators and the senior leaders of durg for this Grand victory. Congress has always been taken as underdogs in the past 5 Municipal Elections and BJP has made a clean sweeps in the past 25 years. The performance of the Congress in this Municipal corporation election is because of the proper planning and ticket distribution to the most eligible candidates. 13 sitting corporators were changed and 13 new faces 'all young' were given Congress ticket to contest the election. And 12 out off 13 won the elections. The vigorous campaign and hard work in all the 60 wards of Durg Municipal, local MLA Arun Vora is also big factor in the Grand Congress victory. There were lot of agitation and morchs in Vora's house at the time of ticket distribution, in which Rajiv Vora younger brother of Arun Vora was seen in major conflict with the Durg Congress President R N Verma. It is said that Verma was more inclined towards the senior sitting corporators, where as Rajiv Vora was not ready to compromise & insisted to give young faces opportunity to contest elections. The dispute between the two continued till the last night of filing the nominations. Most of the time Arun Vora was seen intermediating the situation between Rajiv and Verma. Finally the list was cleared in the Central election Committee late in the Midnight. The aggressive political approach of Rajeev Vora, duely supplemented by Arun Vora in the central election committee was very surprising. The election committee was presided by the state incharge General Secretary P l Punia, state Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, State Congress President Mohan Markam and 13 other senior Congress leaders. All the 60 seats went to the candidates of the the Vora Duos choice, there was a major celebration in the Vora camp in the Congress headquarter. The coordination of Arun & Rajiv in the ticket distribution was much discussed upon in the power corridors of Congress headquarter Rajiv Bhawan, Raipur Chhattisgarh. But today's result has made all the Rajiv opponent camps mouthshut. And it is confirm that the mayor of Durg would be as per the choice of Rajiv Vora. Dheeraj Bakliwal, Abdul Gani, Madan Jain are the prominent names for the mayor posts. Arun Vora has not yet open his cards. But it is sure that whosoever maybe it will be with the due consent of Vora brothers. Atul Agnihotri, Pioneer Raipur Chhattisgarh.

via Today Bharat Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday asserted that the Centre intends to expel all illegal immigrants, not just from Assam but from the entire country. Addressing the fourth conclave of the North-East Democratic Alliance (NEDA), the NDA's version in the northeast, the BJP president also accused successive Congress governments of having alienated the region from the rest of the country. "Our intention is to expel illegal immigrants from the entire country and not just Assam," he declared. He alleged the prolonged militancy in the region was because the Congress hardly cared for the region. "The Congress governments sowed the seeds of strife in the northeast. The party did not care for the northeast and because of that militancy flourished. It always believed in the policy of divide and rule," he alleged. On Sunday, referring to the just published NRC, Shah said, "lt was completed in a time-bound manner". The meeting was also addressed by Union Minister of State incharge of DoNER and NEC vice chairman Jitendra Singh, official sources said. A total of 3,30,27,661 people had applied to be included in the NRC.
