The attack on the library by Chen’s people goes a little differently Spoilers for 14x16

As soon as Bishop heard the first shatter of glass, she dropped, dragging Qasim with her.  It didn't even register what was happening, her body reacted from months of being on high alert.  It finally sank in that the shattering of glass was bullets piercing through the windows and into the wall of the library behind them.  Bishop took a moment to focus on herself; nothing hurt, she seemed to be okay.  Wide-eyed, she looked over at Qasim, hoping he was alright.  His eyes were shut tight, hands covering his head instinctively.  A once over glance from head to toe didn't show any obvious injuries.

"Qasim, are you alright?" she asked.

He nodded, lowering his arms from his head to wrap around Ellie, pulling her close to him.

"I'm fine, and you?"

Ellie inhaled deeply, and nodded.  Qasim's natural scent and being in his arms was calming her more than she would've thought possible given the situation. 

He stroked her hair gently, neither of them wanting to move or raise themselves up at all.  Presently, Ellie murmured,

"We need to call Gibbs and let him know.  Chen knows you're translating the calls; obviously there's something incriminating in them, or something he thinks could be incriminating, otherwise, why go through such lengths to-" her voice broke thinking about what almost happened.  Qasim pressed a kiss to the top of her head.

"I'm alright Ellie.  You saved me, once again,"  he told her. Bishop nodded into his chest and pulled out her phone and dialed Gibbs.  While it rang, she looked up at Qasim and said,

"You know, maybe the library isn't such a great thinking place."

Qasim couldn't help but chuckle.
