I’m starting this days before Neku’s actual birthday, for the record, because I have *checks notes* 148 drafts at present, and while these are not ALL TWEWY, I’m willing to bet that legitimately one hundred of them are, especially after I cleaned out so many other fandoms. So it’s gonna take a while, especially because I should at times do things like “rest my wrists” and also I missed the reanimated baddies tournament and the Senshi lost but I promised you all the funniest propaganda ever, I’m gonna give you the funniest propaganda ever, but that’s gonna take a while.

His eyes lit up at the sight of the dessert, and all at once he understood why Harrow had abruptly canceled the meeting he had scheduled for this morning. How this date always snuck up on him, he didn’t know. He supposed it was just a matter of having more pressing matters to focus on, duties and obligations that far overshadowed the need to acknowledge the passing of another year in his life. 

... But in any case, he certainly did not mind the surprise. It set an odd warmth spreading in his chest, the thought that even if he did not much prioritize the celebrating of his birthday, there were people in his life who would. Who felt it worth taking the time to celebrate. 

“I--thank you, Claudia.”

“I don’t suppose this is the year you finally tell me the spell you use to torch the top? It leaves such a unique flavor.”
