Master Your Dining Experience with the Ultimate Tip Calculator
Tumblr media
Dining out is one of life's simple pleasures, offering a chance to relax, enjoy good food, and spend time with friends and family. However, when the check arrives, the task of calculating the tip can sometimes turn this enjoyable experience into a moment of stress. How much should you tip? Did you account for tax? Is your math correct? Fortunately, the tip calculator is here to save the day. In this blog post, we’ll explore how this essential tool can help you master your dining experience, ensuring you always leave the perfect tip.
What is a Tip Calculator?
A tip calculator is a handy tool, either as a standalone device or a mobile app feature, that helps you determine the appropriate amount to tip based on the total bill. It takes the guesswork out of tipping, allowing you to quickly and accurately calculate how much to leave, ensuring you reward good service appropriately and avoid under- or over-tipping.
Why Use a Tip Calculator?
Accuracy: One of the main advantages of using a tip calculator is accuracy. When you're dining out, especially in a large group, calculating the tip in your head can lead to errors. A tip calculator ensures that you get the amount right every time.
Convenience: With a tip calculator, you don’t have to fumble around with mental math or pull out a pen and paper. Simply enter your total bill and desired tip percentage, and the calculator does the rest.
Fairness: Using a tip calculator ensures that you leave a fair tip based on the service you received. This can be particularly useful in situations where you might not be sure what percentage to leave.
Splitting the Bill: Many tip calculators also offer a bill-splitting feature, which is perfect for group dining. You can easily divide the total amount, including the tip, among all diners, ensuring everyone pays their fair share.
How to Use a Tip Calculator
Using a tip calculator is straightforward. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Enter the Total Bill Amount: This is the amount on your check before adding the tip. Be sure to include any taxes and fees that are part of the total.
Choose the Tip Percentage: Common tip percentages range from 15% to 20% depending on the level of service. Some calculators offer preset percentages, while others allow you to enter a custom amount.
Calculate: Once you've entered the bill amount and selected the tip percentage, the calculator will provide you with the total tip amount and the new total bill (bill + tip).
Optional – Split the Bill: If you're dining with others, enter the number of people in your group. The calculator will then divide the total bill and tip amount equally among all diners.
Example: Using a Tip Calculator
Imagine you and three friends are dining out, and the total bill comes to $120. You’ve received excellent service and decide to leave a 20% tip. Here’s how you’d use a tip calculator:
Enter the Total Bill: $120
Select the Tip Percentage: 20%
Calculate: The tip calculator determines that 20% of $120 is $24. Your new total is $144 (bill + tip).
Split the Bill: If you’re splitting the bill evenly, each person would pay $36 ($144 divided by 4).
Tips for Using a Tip Calculator
Double-Check the Bill: Before using the calculator, ensure your bill is correct. Check for any errors or additional charges.
Consider the Service: While a 15-20% tip is standard, adjust the percentage based on the service you received. Exceptional service may warrant a higher tip, while subpar service might result in a lower one.
Be Aware of Local Customs: Tipping norms vary by country. In some places, tipping is not customary, while in others, a service charge may already be included in the bill. A tip calculator can help you adapt to local customs when traveling.
Use Mobile Apps: Many smartphone apps offer tip calculators as part of their feature set. These apps are often free and provide additional functionalities such as bill splitting and currency conversion.
Conclusion
A tip calculator is a simple yet powerful tool that can enhance your dining experience by taking the stress out of tipping. It ensures accuracy, convenience, and fairness, allowing you to focus on enjoying your meal and the company you're with. Whether you're a frequent diner or an occasional restaurant-goer, mastering the use of a tip calculator can make every meal more enjoyable and stress-free. So next time you head out to your favorite restaurant, bring along your ultimate dining companion – the tip calculator – and tip with confidence.

I know there's a lot of debate about the Stans' age, and personally I've calculated it as 62, so Shermie would have had to have His Son(Dip+Mab Dad) at 16 and then the twins were born when their parents were 18 or vice versa. To me, I like the thought that Shermie didn't escape Filbrick's bad parenting and got a girl pregnant as a teenager and his son only managed to be slightly better and married the mother of his children only for their marriage to not work out. Bill Cipher referencing Dipper hearing his parents fighting.
It's the consequences of Bad Parenting and Abuse afflicted by this man that's haunting the narrative.

Here's the thing. Danny says that they're 91 days away from the end of the decade. This puts the scene on October 1st or 2nd, depending on if he's counting that day as well. The beginning of the film is about a week before this, I put it at September 25th or 26th judging by the timescale (starts on a Sunday, they set off on the Monday, get back Saturday morning and find Danny at their place). Withnail says he's 30 in a month. IN CONCLUSION, if we take this literally, Withnail's birthday is either the 25th or 26th of October. Thanks for coming to my TED talk

happy birthday aran!!! have some inarizaki hcs let's go
back when they first played shiratorizawa aran didn't know what to do bc tendou kept yelling weird shit at him and aran was, quite honestly, frightened for his life
tendou: "watch this i'm going to intimidate their ace so hard he won't be able to play properly and we'll win!" semi: "okay, what are you going to - " tendou, putting his hands around his mouth for the whole stadium to hear: "HEY NUMBER EIGHT, GET READY FOR ME TO PISS IN YOUR PANTS" semi: "dude what the fuck"
the twins are SO ready to fight and they probably would have if kita hadn't stepped in
kita didn't even have to do much he just stared down tendou with all the energy of "your most respected/favorite teacher is disappointed in you and you're going to cry bc of it" and tendou backed off
(for all of five minutes. then he started dumping on akagi but akagi gives what he gets so what the hell, kita let it slide)
this might be considered bad sportmanship tbh but it's funny as fuck so whatever
LMAO WAIT SORRY LOSING MY SHIT AT THE THOUGHT OF SHIRABU AND ATSUMU ON THE COURT AT THE SAME TIME THE IMPLICATIONS ARE SO FUCKED OH MY GOD
okay sorry back to the normal schedule
i think bc aran's the ace and court captain people try to follow his lead at school or ask him to make the final decision on things and such and he HATES it. it's soooooo much pressure and he really doesn't want to disappoint anyone!!
like no he does NOT want to be the tiebreaker for what their class should do during the school festival he just wants to walk around and eat a crepe. no he does NOT want to choose what paint color looks best for remodeling the garden fence why the fuck are you even asking him he's part of the volleyball club!!!! he always texts kita for help when this happens LMAO
and even if he DOES mess up the other students are always like, "ah, of course ojiro-san would do that!! he totally did that on purpose!! of course it's because [insert farfetched excuse here]!! why didn't we think of that either!!!"
if anyone's ever seen or read handa-kun (light-hearted prequel/spin-off to barakamon <33) it's basically that LMAO
kita's surprisingly good at telling scary stories
not just that but he tells normal stories in such a way that most people think he's telling a scary story first and then he says some totally mundane shit like "and that's why we no longer store our towels under the bed" and people are like. damn guess i'm not doing that either!!!
every day suna texts his sister one funny zero-context quote from practice. his sister has collected all of these and set up a twitter account for them.
gin thinks atsumu is going to get his ass kicked for not knowing when to shut the fuck up. atsumu thinks he's going to get his ass kicked because osamu paid someone to do it
osamu insists he wouldn't tho bc then he'd just do it himself for free
akagi, aran, and kita tease oomimi for being younger than them and make a running joke of ruffling his hair like a little kid which oomimi actually finds really comforting bc people usually shy away from being tactile with him. like guys come on oomimi is a sweetheart i love him so much

little rich boy sirius who gets disowned and can barely survive without his expensive brands and the basic human need to eat at least once a day meeting the entirely too generous james potter who just falls for the vanity and sincerity of the reformed rich boy and decides that once sirius stops caring about brands and status and rich boy things and just cares about what matters in life he decides to spoil his boyfriend to pieces because he’s secretly sitting on a fucking fortune
#idk i just think it’s funny#like james would find sirius when he’s struggling with money because he’s so bad at saving and prioritising his spendings because he’s never#had too before and so james would teach him how to do all that stuff and emotionally support sirius through it all and sirius just falls in#love with this beautiful guy who’s just so generous and who teaches him so many things and finds value in kindness and sincerity and#compassion and all that jazz and james falls in love with sirius helplessly because he might be stuck up and vein and kind of selfish and#is stuck up and cares all too much about status but he’s trying so hard to be better and he finds empathy because sirius got kicked out for#the worst reasons because he’s always been the black sheep of his highly cultist christian family or whatver and he’s also outwardly queer#and james decides that he wants to give sirius everything and loves the way he looks in expensive makeup and designer faux fur coats and#heels and divine jewellery and all that jazz but makes sirius sell it all and learn what it means to be human and not rely on money and#status and brands and stuff and sirius learns what it’s like to be decent and in touch with humanity and only then does james take sirius on#a surprise luxury holiday for his birthday or something and then just buys him thousands of dollars worth of all these glamorous looking#things and sirius is like omg what the fuck jamie and then he just becomes sirius’ sugar daddy because he can’t help himself but they’re#also in love and much better people because of it and when sirius buys things now it’s not because of brands or because they have big price#tags like he used too. he now buys things with james’ credit card he keeps in his own wallet because he thinks he’ll feel pretty in them or#because he thinks james will loose it if he sees sirius walking around in it or if he sees a really cute toaster that sends him into a#frenzy that has him spending all way too much on an impromptu kitchen renovation but james doesn’t care because as long as his boyfriend is#happy and actually paying attention to the price of things and calculating the best value and taking james’ opinion as well and just being#happy and safe and accepted in his new home and family here with his jamie#please i think they’d be so cute ugh!!!#prongsfoot#bambibelle#drabble#fic idea#marauders#james potter#sirius black#jay talks

jinchul being so overworked he completely forgets when his birthday is and how old he is
like imagine work day proceeding as always (aka disaster after disaster) and then for some work related shit someone asks him his birthday and age and he just opens his mouth to reply but nothing comes out because he legit can’t remember. he just dumbly stays here for a minute having really strong thinking session only to say ‘I honestly don’t remember’ (but it also attributes to him never really celebrating his birthday because orphanage either messed up dates or straight up ignored it and at adulthood he’s mostly too busy or there’s extra work so if he’s lucky enough he can treat himself to a piece of cake after work at home and that’s it)
kha workers just running to gunhee like ‘boss we have an emergency, chief woo doesn’t remember his birthday—‘
literally everyone remembers his birthday and age except the man in question. it’s so bad that when they invite him for a party he declines because too much work and they’re like ‘sir it’s your birthday party’ and then there’s long awkward pause
‘wait which day is my birthday on?’

My opinion on the hug kinda kept changing until recently, but I might have reached a definitive reading.
So, first of all: season 4 boils down the finale to be Shiv vs Ken and that is a good thing (!) it makes the most sense, mainly because Roman tends to go along with things. He can't win his father's favor anymore, so he tries with his siblings and, by extension, he tries holding on to Logan as long as possible by doing that. That's his objective. Shiv's thing is proving herself as the most viable candidate. She can't prove it to Logan, so she will do it for anyone else. But Kendall's thing used to be positioning himself against Logan, and since that can't happen anymore, he becomes Logan. Or tries to, bear with me.
Roman brings up Kendall "big brothering" him in ep. 8, but it's very prevalent throughout season 4. But it is also very reminiscent of what their father used to do; keeping them very close and making them feel trusted only to become violent (in some form) when questioned in his authority. Clearest example is Ken feeling the tides turn against him and attacking his brother.
But the hug comes before that, and there are two very important aspects to this--
1) It is cruel and I don't think it matters if you think Roman wanted/needed it because, crucially, Kendall's endgoal with the violence isn't within that line of thinking. He is asserting his dominance (as seen by the second physical attack later).
2) BUT much more importantly: imo, the hug starts with the intention of comfort (!!!) and only ends in violence. This is Ken at his most Logan; a last goodbye to his brother from his father by combining violence and a loving embrace. He learned from the best.
Though in the end, what it comes down to, is this: Does Roman push his wound into the shoulder? Does Kendall press him against it? Both. You don't get Roman's "i hate you" without Kendall's "i love you". It's both. It will always be both, but I will say this-- hate can't come without love, but love can very much stand on its own. So, even if it's both, one of the two weighs heavier. 4 seasons of story have shown how one weighs heavier, even if it's unintentional.

Discover Birthday Insights with a Calculator
Discover Birthday Insights with a Calculator
Tumblr media
Understanding and celebrating birthdays is a significant part of life, whether you're planning a special celebration, remembering important dates, or simply curious about age-related milestones. One tool that can simplify these tasks is the birthday calculator. This versatile tool provides insights into various aspects of birthdays and ages, helping you make the most out of your celebrations and planning. In this guide, we’ll explore how a birthday calculator works, its benefits, and how you can use it to gain valuable insights.
What is a Birthday Calculator?
A birthday calculator is a tool designed to compute and analyze information related to birthdays and ages. It helps users determine various date-related details, such as:
Age Calculation: Determines how old someone is based on their birthdate.
Days Until Next Birthday: Calculates the number of days remaining until the next birthday.
Birthdate Analysis: Provides insights into significant milestones or astrological information based on the birthdate.
Available as online tools, mobile apps, and built-in features in some software, birthday calculators are designed to be user-friendly and accessible.
Why Use a Birthday Calculator?
Accuracy: Calculating age or time until the next birthday manually can be error-prone, especially when dealing with leap years or varying month lengths. A birthday calculator ensures accurate results by handling these complexities.
Convenience: Whether you need to quickly find out someone’s age or plan a birthday party, a birthday calculator simplifies the process. It provides instant results, saving you time and effort.
Versatility: Birthday calculators can offer additional features beyond basic age calculations, such as revealing interesting facts about the birthdate or calculating the number of days between two dates.
Planning: For those who love to plan ahead, knowing how many days are left until a birthday can help in organizing celebrations and sending timely reminders.
How to Use a Birthday Calculator
Using a birthday calculator is straightforward. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you navigate its features:
Select a Calculator: Choose a birthday calculator that suits your needs. Online calculators are easy to access and often free, while mobile apps may offer additional functionalities.
Enter the Birthdate: Input the birthdate of the person you want to calculate details for. Ensure the format is correct, typically MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY, depending on the tool.
Choose the Desired Calculation: Depending on what you want to find out, select the appropriate function. This could be age calculation, days until the next birthday, or other insights.
Calculate and Review: The calculator will process the information and provide the results. Review the output to ensure it meets your needs. Some calculators may also offer additional insights based on the birthdate.
Examples of Using a Birthday Calculator
Determining Age: If you input a birthdate of January 15, 1990, and today’s date is October 10, 2024, the calculator will show that the person is 34 years old and will turn 35 in the coming January.
Countdown to Next Birthday: For a person whose birthday is July 25, 2024, the calculator can tell you how many days are left until their next birthday. This can be handy for sending reminders or planning celebrations.
Analyzing Significant Dates: Some advanced birthday calculators offer insights such as astrological profiles or historical events that occurred on the same date. For example, you might discover that your birthdate aligns with a significant historical event or celebrity birthday.
Benefits of Using a Birthday Calculator
Error Reduction: Automated calculations minimize the risk of errors that can occur with manual date math, especially when calculating ages across multiple years or dealing with leap years.
Time Savings: A birthday calculator quickly provides the necessary information, allowing you to focus on other tasks or enjoy the occasion without worrying about complex calculations.
Enhanced Planning: By knowing the exact number of days until an upcoming birthday or significant date, you can plan more effectively, ensuring that celebrations and reminders are timely and well-organized.
Personal Insights: Beyond basic calculations, some birthday calculators offer additional features like astrological insights or historical context, providing a deeper understanding of the significance of the birthdate.
Choosing the Right Birthday Calculator
When selecting a birthday calculator, consider the following factors:
Ease of Use: Choose a calculator with a user-friendly interface that makes entering dates and viewing results straightforward.
Additional Features: Some calculators offer extra functionalities, such as generating birthday messages, providing astrological information, or integrating with calendar apps. Select one that meets your specific needs.
Accuracy and Reliability: Ensure the calculator is accurate and reliable. Check reviews or recommendations if using an online tool or app to ensure it provides correct and useful information.
Accessibility: Opt for a calculator that is easily accessible, whether as an online tool, a mobile app, or a feature in productivity software, so you can use it whenever needed.
Conclusion
A birthday calculator is a practical and versatile tool that simplifies the process of calculating ages and planning birthday-related activities. By providing accurate, convenient, and insightful information, it helps you stay organized and make the most of special occasions. Whether you’re determining someone’s age, counting down to the next birthday, or exploring additional date-related insights, a birthday calculator offers valuable assistance. Embrace this tool to enhance your planning and gain a deeper appreciation of the significant dates in your life and the lives of those around you.

Hi! I probably missed it in your writing but what are the age differences (if any) in UtB and Spoils between Efnisien and Gwyn?
Hi anon!
You haven't missed it because I don't think I've made it explicit. When ages are very close to each other I tend to get confused a lot more easily because of the dyscalculia. The reality is I rarely specifically work out many character's exact ages, or the years that they were born. (As an example, if I say a character is 29 then they mentally stay 29 for me even if we jump ahead 10 years).
I would say Efnisien and Gwyn were actually born within about a year of each other, but don't quote me on that, because there might be references to them being in different years in school etc. But I always imagine them as being very close because I imagine Penny and Crielle sort of timing things to be close together.
In the canon, Efnisien was born first. But they were still fairly close to each other.

ages of LOST characters when we first meet them vs the ages of the actors when they first started playing them. reminder that the starting point of LOST is september 22nd 2004. if a character’s age seems one less than sounds right to you its because their birthday is coming up. if a character is missing from this it’s because we don’t know their age in canon (looking at you, desmond)
jack shephard: 34 matthew fox: 38
kate austen: 27 evangeline lilly: 25
hugo “hurley” reyes: 25 jorge garcia: 31
james “sawyer” ford: 35 josh holloway: 35
sawyer says he’s 35. but lostpedia only has sawyer’s birthyear, 1968, making him 36. however an easy explanation for this is that sawyer has a birthday coming up in the post september to december range (like many other characters here) thus making the birthyear and what sawyer said still right
john locke: 48 terry o’quinn: 52
sayid jarrah: 36 naveen andrews: 35
jin-soo kwon: 29 daniel dae kim: 36
sun-hwa kwon: 24 yunjin kim: 31
claire littleton: 21 emilie de ravin: 23
charlie pace: 27 dominic monaghan: 27
okay so an odd thing happened here. we don’t actually know charlie’s age in canon, except that based on a statement from liam that he’s absolutely less than 30. and basically what happened is there was big debate on lostpedia, the general gist being he’s 25 to 28, until everybody just gave up and they slapped dom’s birthday on charlie’s page. and it’s still there to this day
walt lloyd: 10 malcolm david kelley: 12
walt’s actor was gonna age outta the role anyways due to the nature of lost’s timeline but their first mistake was casting a 12 year old. like, hello, puberty?
shannon rutherford: 20 maggie grace: 21
boone carlyle: 23 ian somerhalder: 26
danielle rousseau: 44 mira furlan: 49
ethan rom: 27 william mapother: 39
the consequences of season 5 are starting to hit
bernard nadler: 56 or 57 sam anderson: 58
ana lucia cortez: 29 michelle rodriguez: 27
eko tunde: 35 adewale akinnuoye-agbaje: 38
alexandra “alex” rousseau/linus: 16 tania raymonde: 17
benjamin “ben” linus: 39 michael emerson: 51
this isn’t even due to later timeline decisions, they just decided to do this
miles straume: 27 ken leung: 38
daniel faraday: 26 jeremy davies: 39
charlotte lewis: 33 rebecca mader: 31
and theeere’s the season 5 whammy. for those who don’t know (you must be new to my blog) dan and miles ages differ so much from their actors because when our guys are in 1977, it suited the story and characters better for miles to be a baby and dan to be an embryo (and char to be 6) at the same time. the writers were set on 1977 being the year everybody got stuck in and that’s how we get daniel faraday being an oxford professor at fucking 18
it’s something that gets funnier and sadder the longer you think about it
anyways. thank you for your time!
