The era of checking her bank account every day has passed. No longer does she check it first thing to decide if she can afford to splurge on an extra hot chocolate or bubble tea or to have breakfast in addition to dinner. If the backing fabric on her shoe wears away and reveals the hard plastic underneath, she doesn't take some of Manhattan Mocha's band-aids from the first aid kit to pad it just enough to stop chafing her ankle. Her tank tops and jeans aren't almost threadbare out of a desire to wear them out for as long as possible. She doesn't decline invitations to friend get-togethers because one fun excursion will threaten her entire budget. Ice soup is no longer on the menu.

There's one person she has to thank for that.

So she doesn't notice the balance.

However.

Now, she touches the cloth with soft, tentative fingers. Picks it open, gentle.

Stares at the music for a long time, sitting on the couch.

Then she goes for her phone.

hi!!!! it’s the munch anon. can i got by 🦦 if that’s possible/ if you’re taking anymore anons? the gvftea or whatever it’s called is filling me with so much ick and stress,so i have some soft thoughts about josh and munch that id love to share! on one of your very first dates with josh he buys you a silly little plush, and it always makes him smile when he comes home after a long night at the studio to see you cuddling with it while you’re asleep. he has so many pictures of it on his phone, sometimes he even sends it to the guys so they know josh has arrived home safely to his munch. the first time he goes on tour while you’re dating you give him the plush he got you and he tears up , “munch i cant take him from you!!! who will you have to cuddle with??” and you just reply that he needs someone to cuddle with too!!!!! josh is so touched by the sentiment he takes the damn thing to every landmark with him and takes a picture of the plush as if it’s a human (like posing it with food or somehow trying to make it wave) and when the boys ask him about it / make fun of him he just says “guys it’s for munch 😡” (josh secretly really enjoys it too!) when you’re missing josh and the boys a little extra josh makes all of them take a group photo with the plush to send your way. eventually, josh buys a similar plush to send to you so that you can pose the plush the way he does. when you tell him that your life is far too boring for such a thing, he insists that he sees picture of the plush doing the tasks to determine if it’s really boring; “munch! that penguin is reading a book at the park! how is that boring??? i bet no one has ever seen a penguin read before!! how could that be boring???” he just loves you!!!! and nothing you do is ever boring!!!! sorry this was a little long haha.

It was a special day for someone important to him, atobe inviting tezuka to meet him in the shopping district, a smirk upon his face as soon as he saw his rival appear. "I'm glad you had time for me," a chuckle before heading off, leading the way to their destination.

Soon enough, coming to a halt for him to see an infamous restaurant, five stars and empty. "Let's go," A confident smile while heading inside with him, taking his seat before a click of his fingers. "I've bought the restaurant out just for today," well, mostly for their time together. "Your first dish," the waiter said as he presented two large bowls of unacha, his favourite dish. "happy birthday, tezuka~" A good surprise, no? Well, he had a lot more in store for him.

Dressed simple yet smart in a dark collared shirt and cargo shorts, Tezuka hadn't expected his rival to do anything for the day, but then again, this was Atobe after all. "I have time for anyone, my team, and you, should the situation be keen, you had me intrigued at this gift for my birthday."

'A five-star place huh?'' The other spared no expense for Tezuka, and it made the man smile, pushing his glasses up on his nose before following Atobe inside. The whole place -- yes that was just like him, but Tezuka was thankful for the quiet it provided.

Seating himself and draping his napkin over his lap, his hands rested in his lap as he awaited the meal. When the unacha was placed before him, Tezuka sighed softly, Atobe didn't call him a rival for nothing, deeply knowing of the others favorite things, food was no exception.

He smiled and glance at Atobe before picking up his teapot to pour the hot green tea over the contents of the bowl, savoring the smell that arose. "Thank you, Atobe." With a close of his eyes and a mumble of "itadakimasu~" He picked up the bowl and tucked in.
