British broadcaster India Willoughby is claiming that Northumbria Police have logged a “Non Crime Hate Incident” against Harry Potter creator JK Rowling after he reported the beloved author for “misgendering” him.

While Willoughby has long expressed his contempt of Rowling, having made hundreds of tweets about her gender critical statements over the years, the tension came to a head this week after Rowling stated that Willoughby did not “become a woman.”

On March 3, Rowling made a post in support of women’s single-sex spaces, which trans activists quickly clamored under to interrogate.

“Why should trans women be forced to use male spaces? Don’t you understand just how humiliating for us that would be? Or don’t you care?” one user questioned, to which Rowling replied: “Somebody really should have explained to you that your hurt feelings don’t trump other people’s rights, nor are women and girls validation props or comfort blankets.”

Another user, by the name of Socialist Stanley, then confronted Rowling with a gif of British broadcaster and trans activist India Willoughby, writing: “Hi Joanne, so you are saying this lady should use the men’s locker room then?!”

Rowling responded: “India didn’t become a woman. India is cosplaying a misogynistic male fantasy of what a woman is.”

Willoughby, born Jonathan, began claiming to be a woman in 2015 at the age of 50, officially becoming the UK’s first transgender newsreader. He has previously incited criticism for boasting of getting a “designer vagina,” which he said he chose from a catalogue like “going for a haircut.”

An off-duty bartender has been convicted of a “hate” motivated crime after shoving and misgendering a trans-identified male in the washroom of a bar. On March 6, Cassandra McIntyre was found guilty of second-degree bias crime and harassment charges stemming from a 2022 confrontation with a man who identifies as a “woman.”

According to journalist Andy Ngo, McIntyre had just finished her shift at Jake’s Place, a sports bar in Portland, when she encountered far-left activist Riis Larsen, formerly Ronald A. Larsen, in the women’s washroom. Clearly startled, McIntyre told Larsen to “get out” of the intimate space.

Surveillance footage shows McIntyre lightly pushing Larsen, who identifies as a “queer demi-binary trans woman,” after he shoved another person to cut in line for the washroom.

twenty-eight in appearance, the witch corvina is approximately 482 years in age. she was raised by a coven of witches deep in the forests of Withermore, unaware of the passage of time for a majority of their life. the forty seasons war left her coven uprooted and scattered to the winds, and corvina hopes that destarin holds the key to reuniting them all. they are a demi-woman and go by she/they pronouns.

Corvina was born many years ago to a half-nymph mother and witch father. Growing up within their coven of witches in the forests of Withermore, the fledgling witch knew little of the outside world; and this was primarily by design. The coven was begun by a disgraced noblewoman exiled from the Withermore courts, one that contended with dark shadow entities.

It was on Corvina's fourth birthday that she first began to manipulate the shadows. This was considered a gift from the coven's chief deity, Erone, whose domain lay with shadows, crossroads, and storms. From that moment on, the young girl was trained rigorously to harness and manipulate this power. And as she grew, so too did her abilities, being able to summon storms should the coven need to move from one location to the next.

And this was the life they knew, until the Forty Seasons War. The court of Withermore, desperate for soldiers to bolster its army, scoured the forests. The battle upon a contingent of soldiers discovering the coven was bloody, and frightening. Upon seeing their parents being cut down without a care for daring to fight for their right to live, Corvina summoned the shadows, and loosed them upon the soldiers. It was said that it robbed them of their senses, swinging their swords wildly only to cut each other down. At least, that is what the survivors that escaped would say, left permanently blind and feeble.

Corvina themselves fell to the ground after such a feat, allegedly on death's door. But Erone, it seemed, looked once more upon the child they had blessed so long ago, and decided that death could not have this one. The witch was carried away from death's door, blessed now with immortality, and rage.

In the years following, Corvina made it her mission to destroy the courts of Withermore the way they had destroyed her coven and its way of life. Their travels eventually took them outside of Withermore, and earned them such names as Lady of Shadows and Storm Summoner; though the most widespread was simply "the shadow witch," a name whispered in hushed tones in dark corners. But in all that time, she hoped and prayed for some sign of their coven, that they all might be reunited and could return to their simple way of life.

species: shadow witch. weaknesses: powers weak in direct sunlight, powers related to flame, weapons made with light can cause injury, magical protections can inhibit her abilities. strengths: shadow manipulation (can cut off sight and sound), the ability to summon storms of varying severity, enhanced speed/strength/stamina, immortality, powers heightened under a new moon or in complete darkness. physical description: corvina has wavy black hair that she typically wears loose, purple eyes as a result of being blessed with immortality, the sclera of their eyes turn black when they utilize their shadow abilities. additional info: corvina's coven didn't go by any standard name, and avoided all but the smallest of villages should they be in need of something..

Biography:

When Sofia was a little girl her parents were madly in love, so it felt anyway as she watched her beautiful merfolk mother and handsome human father dote upon one another. The family lived in a large seaside home, filled with glamorous things, and she felt like she was always smiling. Things stopped being perfect the day she was diagnosed with cancer in her early teens. At first they were a united front, they wanted to do everything they could to help their daughter, they made sure they were always with her for treatments, that even on the days when Sofia could not stand the sight of them they did not give into their anger. However, as things progressed, as treatments were no longer working and the doctor, who had been trying to preserve the young mermaids ability to bear children informed her parents the best course of action would result in her no longer being able to carry them.

That changed things. Sofia's father agreed to support whatever decision she made, it was her body and while she was not an adult he knew ultimately if she did not at least have a voice in the decision that she would never forgive either of them. Sofia wanted to go through with the treatment, because despite the pain of treatments, the exhaustion of just being, and the lack of joy she'd had since her diagnosis she wanted to live, she wanted to live a full life. For her mother however...this was not acceptable, to be unable to have children went against how she was raised, it went against everything she believed her daughter should be. In the end her mother conceded, but it changed things. Even once Sofia had come out of surgery, even once she had started to get better, her mother could not look at the girl or her father.

Healthier than she had been in quite some time Sofia returned to school, returned to life, and that was, of course, when her mother left. Expensive dresses removed from her closet, car gone from the drive way, and her father in tears, regret over what he had done to ruin his marriage. While he never abandoned his daughter Sofia knew he looked at her and felt such horrifically complex things; joy, regret, gratitude, anger. It made her so aware of herself, aware of how other people pushed themselves and their feelings onto her while she did nothing but exist. It shifted how she treated people, how she behaved around them, she was less inclined to give people the benefit of the doubt because ultimately everyone would do as they liked regardless of her.

Once she graduated she moved out, got herself her own place, hoping to become a make-up artist to celebrities. She'd always enjoyed make-up, since she'd done pageants as a girl. It seemed however, other skills proved to be more financially viable and she started stripping - after being a waitress proved dangerous for customers. It surprised Sofia how much she enjoyed it, how it made her feel more in control of how others perceived her, and how she perceived herself.

Of course, that adjusted somewhat when supernaturals came out to the world. The fact she was a mermaid was something that had been shared between herself and her mother, something since her mother had left she'd kept to herself. Now the world knew and she thought perhaps she could share that with those close to her. She couldn't. The toxic relationship she had ended up in grew worse, Sofia trapped in a way she had never been before and unsure what to do.

Fortunately, Sofia met someone at her work who rekindled her value in herself, reminded her of what she had done to live her life and to live it happily. It was, of course, Sofia who truly had to see it in herself though and after he had left, while touring the country, Sofia tracked him down. She had always been a woman of instant decision and she decided she wanted to not lose the person she trusted most. When he settled in Saintes, so did she. Prepared for a life she could live openly. She would follow her passions and trust herself, she'd lived this long, after all.
