Bionicle Heroic Renewal, Part 1: Masters of Destiny

One of the last big projects I undertook before leaving Tumblr was making a small tribute to all the notable Toa in Bionicle storyline. Issue is, those tributes were meant to be mocs, not drawings, but I lacked the ability to make enough models for my visions (which at the time was 24)

So I set out to make these while I collected the pieces and the sets. Arguably, even more of a challenge, all things considered. Despite simplistic nature, some drawings from here proved to be quite a struggle to make. Still, I like how they look and figured they might deserve their own chain of posts over the next little while, especially since BHR nearly doubled since the last time... All in due time ;)

So uh... With twenty five different Toa, Bionicle: Heroic Renewal is pretty much concluded, or at least the pixelart side of it. I’ve still got plans to create the mocs, but mocs take time and money to complete. Until then, I’ll be posting regular artworks, probably stuff that involves backgrounds cuz as of lately I have lost my grip on creating sceneries, so I might as well catch myself up.

So uh... The idea behind this one is quite simple - a nice afterlife for the beloved Toa Mahri of Ice. He’s completed his duty and now his soul may rest in the temple dedicated to himself. Remember Matoro, everyone :D

My posting schedule has become so rubbish that it’s kinda become consistent. Weird.

So uh, Heroic Renewal is still happening, I’ve got most of the stuff done, but in the meantime I thought it won’t hurt to branch out a wee bit, seeing how I’ve drawn nothing but bionicle for the past however-many posts. With that said, here’s some good boys from MK11 :D

Second installment of Heroic Renewal, Gali, Master of Purity and Toa Nuva of Water

I find it easier to draw bionicle figures after I spend some time moccing, even if my blog really isn’t about moccing. It’s taken me far too long to figure out how to properly draw Gali until I actually went around and took my mind off of things with a bit of moccing.

Overall, I like the final piece. Gali is probably one of the more popular toa nuva and it was a rather nice notion to draw her. Hope you like her :D
