Tom Holland Launches Production Company Billy17 With Producing Deal at Sony Pictures

“I’ve had an incredibly happy and successful relationship with Sony Pictures for almost a decade, so they felt like the perfect partner to launch our production company with,” Tom Holland said. “It’s been an ambition of mine to take this step for some time now, and we’re incredibly excited to bring entertaining, and rewatchable movies to the big screen. This is the hope for us, and it starts with ‘Burnt,’ an idea which has been sitting in our heads for a few years, and having Rodney attached to pen our most ambitious project is incredible. We’re diving into the deep end here, and we’re extremely excited for what comes next.”

Sony Pictures’ Motion Picture Group chairman and CEO Tom Rothman said, “Tom, Harry, and Will are bursting with cool ideas, and have the zeal to follow through on them. I am also in deep procrastination which is why I’m choosing to hyperfixate on the atlanta pap (Atlanta filming on Instagram) teasing a tomdaya wedding before the people magazine story, posting again about it once the people story was out, and deleting both the posts.

Based on how sappy Tom was in naming his beers and Billy17, I actually think an Atlanta wedding would be super on brand for them. Just don’t know how that random pap would know…

I just think the whole Billy17 thing came to fruition because of his new Spidey contract. He probably said something like, 'I'll do one for me and one for you,' similar to Sydney Sweeney with Madame Web and Anyone But You.

I agree with the other anon. When it comes to discussing the actual stories of his projects, he really stays on the surface level. Even with TCR, he didn’t go in-depth about DID. I don’t think it’s because he’s not interested, tho, it’s more likely because most of his answers are scripted. He probably sticks to them to avoid the risk of being misinterpreted and to keep things neutral. Just my assumption.

But I do hate a bit that he seems to love his work on Cherry (and he loved to work with the Russo's on that project 😵‍💫) and he didn't mention Ciara when he was doing a FYC for tcr when he mentioned the co-stars he had the most chemistry with. But I guess, time and things have changed ever since 🙃

which is fair tbh he’s not an expert on it, he probably got a good understanding of it through the process but again, it’s a topic you should probably leave to professionals…
