She has gone through mermification that has caused her arms and legs to become merm arms and legs. Because they're part of the last few goats, the Gnaw has taken sadistic pleasure in making her slowly mermify while she watches in horror and hopelessness.

There wasn't really much they could do. Mumsy was busy feeding the Gnaw. The only thing they could do was try to survive while waiting for the inevitable to happen. They'd rely on eating grass and other plants to try to keep themself from going completely hungry. They felt lost and down.

Then one day, the survivors showed up. Once they managed to open up the portal, Nally did not hesitate to go with them. While Mumsy and Billy wound up in some other realm, Nally had followed the survivors into the Constant. She was finally free from some scary sky deity.

Nally chose to go off on her own, despite the warnings from the survivors. They even offered to let her stay with them, but she refused. While she is friendly and doesn't mind company, she's gotten used to being on her own that she tends to prefer it. She does her best to live in the Constant on her own, she even managed to make herself a nice house with a small farm she has going. Her house is surprisingly sturdy.

Everytime dusk arrives, they get incredibly scared, thinking the Gnaw might be coming back. She's also scared of nighttime since she's not used to seeing the world go so dark. They even get scared of rain and storms. They'll hide in their house until they feel safe to come out.

On one hand, she's glad to be out of her former world, but on the other, she feels incredibly guilty. She had to watch so many family and friends go. She feels so guilty that she survived. She sure doesn't feel like she did anything to deserve it...

They don't like seeing merms. Everytime they see one, they're just reminded of their past, so they try to avoid merms. They even stay out and away from any swamp areas. If they were ever near any merms for some reason, the merms would be surprisingly neutral with them. Probably because of their scales.

They're okay around pigs. Thankfully, since she hasn't gone through full mermification, (and because they're kinda dumb) they don't see her as a merm. Just some weird looking unpig creature.

They're still learning to live and survive in the Constant. They sometimes forget that don't have to eat grass/plants only anymore. They do eat pretty much anything they can find. They also are learning to fight. They're slowly getting better at it...

They aren't related to Mumsy and Billy.

Her horns have been broken while she lived in her former world. She can't remember why they broke. They won't grow back.

She isn't a picky eater. Though, she does feel uneasy with fish, she does still eat them. Hesitantly.

Because she left her former world, she no longer has to worry about full mermification. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that she'll revert back to being a full goat, either. Maybe there is a way to undo the merm plague.

She is an adult. She's just on the small side. At least small by her species standards.

Album (EP) Review!

The Wrecks - Panic Vertigo

Released February 16, 2018

Although technically an EP, I wanted to review this 5 track record in honor of The Wrecks releasing their newest single Freaking Out yesterday, so Let’s go:

Track 1 : Figure This Out - The first track on this EP starts with a bang. A song about a wishy washy relationship, saying goodbye and yet coming back for more. Nick Anderson’s voice is clear and straight forward with this track and I think that helps drive home the themes as well. I love the guitar solo bit too, such a vibe. My favorite lyrics: She said, "Are you gonna write a song about me?" / And I think that I just about threw up in my mouth / Hope that's the vodka talking I think speak for themselves. Overall a jamming start to this EP.

Track 2 : James Dean - Easily one of my favorites by The Wrecks. I heard them play this before its official release in 2017 and damn it stuck with me the whole year before it’s studio version. It’s a song to dance and sing out loud too. The struggles of being cool are highlighted in this rocking track. Hey, he might not be James Dean but that’s okay too. 

Track 3 : Way With Words - From the beginning, the sound switches to a more mellow tone with the simple drum beat and strong chorus. We’re left asking “is this what we really wanted from our relationship?” The recurring lyric Is this what you wanted? sets the tone of Nick wanting answers and showing this girl what has happened up to this point of a rocky relationship. A relatable track with a nice break in sound from the other songs on this EP.

Track 4 : Panic Vertigo - The title track for this record, a song that definitely sets the frame for this group of songs. The acoustic guitar paired with the punchy percussion makes you wanna sing at the top of your lungs and move through the motions. The bridge too? Such a sick breakdown! The lyrics: I’ve had it with this panic vertigo, yeah I have to let it go dare I say reflect getting your shit together in the hard times and getting back on your feet. A great song with a cool title as well.

Track 5 : Revolution - Talk about a song that makes you wanna sing and dance. This track is so full of power and energy. The lyrics: I know myself More than you knew who I was Gives the tone for the rest of the song. You can really picture Nick’s face as he belts out those lyrics. A perfect way to wrap up a solid EP. 

Album Overview - With each release, The Wrecks gain more and more traction in the music world, getting stronger in every aspect, vocally, instrumentally, and structurally. From the mellow Panic Vertigo to jamming along to James Dean, this EP is well rounded and ready to show the world what it has. I’m so excited for The Wreck’s debut album and the alt-rock world should be too.
