As an admirer of Belgian beer styles, I have longed for a brewery in Ontario to brew beers of Belgian styles. @newlimburgbrewery In Simcoe, Ontario does exactly that. Their Dubbel is an approachable Trappist style ale with Belgian candi sugar, plums, molasses and that familiar Belgian yeast; a medium bodied ale that satisfies the palate. @oasthousebrewers Saison beer was originated in the farming regions of Belgium and was typically brewed during the autumn or winter, for consumption during the following summer by the seasonal farm workers (“les saisonniers”). Traditional Saisons were low in alcohol, but this one is at 6.5 % ABV with strong citrus hop body and some tart sourness.
