On the occasion of World Asthma Day, VIMS Multispeciality hospital, backed by the Venkateshwara Group, hosted free medical and health camps.
On World Asthma Day, VIMS Multispeciality hospital, with the support of Venkateshwara Group, organized free medical and Health Camps in half a dozen villages of the Meerut & Moradabad divisions.
In order to promulgate health services in the rural hinterland, we organized these camps under the Chalo Gaon Ki Aur mission.
In 6 free Medical and Health Camps held at various locations, 1062 patients were treated and prescribed medicines.
The locations include Khandawali in Meerut, Garhmukteshwar Toll Plaza, Badgaon in Baghpat, Chandpur in Bijnor, Gajraula in Amroha, and Nai Basti.
Apart from this, over a dozen patients suffering from acute asthma, TB, & lung infection were transferred to VIMS Multispeciality hospital for advanced treatment using VIMS ambulances.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, CMS Dr. I B Raju and the Hospital Marketing Director Mr. MA Chaudhary inaugurated the health camps by cutting a ribbon.

In celebration of World Heart Day, Shri Venkateshwara University and VIMS multispecialty hospital organized a seminar on the importance of balanced life in maintaining cardiac health.
Over a dozen renowned cardiologists from all over the country took part in the seminar.
The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor, Dr Rajiv Tyagi, Chief Medical Superintendent, Dr IB Raju, & the Dean Academics Dr Sanjiv Bhatt inaugurated the seminar by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
The Chief Speaker & renowned Cardiologist Dr VK Saxena, & Dr Ana Brown joined them to inaugurate the seminar on the role of balanced life in Cardiac Health.
The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, reiterated the heart is the most important organ of the body. Hence it’s our responsibility to keep it healthy through regular exercise/Yoga, balanced diet, & by not smoking.
Dr. Jaggi, a well-known cardiologist, confirmed that unhealthy habits like smoking, drinking, poor diet, stress, diabetes, hypertension, and pollution cause heart attacks. Through a disciplined lifestyle & balanced diet, we can keep our hearts healthy for a long time.
Dr. VK Saxena, a Senior Cardiologist at VIMS & Primus Delhi believes that a balanced and healthy lifestyle can help prevent heart attacks.
Senior Physician Dr I B Raju opined through balanced diet, Yoga & meditation we can keep our hearts healthy.
The Academic Dean, Dr. Sanjiv Bhatt, was of the opinion that we should get our heart checked at regular intervals.
Renowned Physician Dr Manik Tyagi asserted in today’s stressful life we can keep our heart healthy through Yoga & meditation. Yoga & meditation helps us to distress and keeps the heart beats normal.
After the seminar, the Doctors carried out an awareness rally to educate people about a healthy heart. They stressed the importance of a disciplined lifestyle to keep the heart healthy.
The MBBS & Nursing students made colorful Rangoli & Posters to highlight the importance of a healthy heart. Later, the college management honored the winners by giving them certificates & a memento.
We honored esteemed cardiologists, Dr. GL Jaggi and Dr. VK Saxena, along with other physicians, by presenting them with shawls and a memento as a token of appreciation for their exceptional medical service.

World Heart Day
On the occasion of World Heart day, Venkateshwara Group Meerut, along with VIMS Multispecialty hospital, organized a seminar on the Role of Balanced life in Cardiac Health & a heart awareness rally.
Over a dozen cardiologists took part in the event.
Dr Sudhir Giri Chairman Venkateshwara Group, Pro-chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, VC Prof. P K Bharti, CMS Dr N K Kalia, & the Chief Speaker Cardiologist Dr Kislay Srivastava inaugurated the seminar by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
The Dean academics Dr Sanjiv Bhatt & Dr Ana Brown assisted them in the inauguration ceremony.
We felicitated renowned cardiologist Dr C V Nerikar & VIMS Senior Cardiologist Dr Kislay Srivastava for their excellent medical services.
After the seminar the Doctors took out an awareness rally & briefed the masses about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle for keeping the heart healthy.

5th Global Fashion and Design Week Impressed Everyone
Noida: “Every great design begins with an even better story. Design creates culture. Culture shapes values. Values determine the future. I am happy our designers have actually researched well before reaching to the conclusion. This time we have touched 52 countries where 200 designers are presenting 700 garments out of their collection,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Festival on the third and the last session of second day of festival at Noida Film City.
“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Design what can be wearable on regular or on occasion,” added Sandeep Marwah.
The extra ordinary collection of the designers was presented on the ramp which was liked by every person present there. Sanjana Kaushik showcased the garments influenced by the country of Papua New Guinea, Sanjana Jha took the initiative from the flora and fauna from Sudan, Komal Tyagi influenced by the art and culture of Egypt, Bilal Azhar opted for the country of Lebanon, Charu Kirti & Samreen Syed presented their art work in the shape of garments from Cyprus, Vanishika Jain showed designs from Nepal, Urvashi Bajpai prepared the garments touched by Iran, Anshita Thakur opted to cover fascinating collection from Czech Republic, Simran Pandey again projected collection from Lebanon and the last round was by Shikhar Saxena where India was highlighted,
A dairy designed by Ayushi Bharti was released by the dignities. Vinod Kumar Verma Vice President Aditya Birla Group, Daniel Voznak Embassy of Czech Republic, Laila Mostofi from Iran, Ankit Nagpal Director Bang on Target PR Media Solution, also spoke on the occasion. Avernita Shrivastava Associate Dean AAFT School of Fashion and Design conducted the program and Ritu Lal Director AAFT School of Fashion and Design proposed vote of thanks.

IPL auction: Complete players' list and their base price
The IPL 2018 auction will take place in Bengaluru on January 27 and 28 where a total of 578 players will go under the hammer.
A fierce bidding war is expected as Indian stars Gautam Gambhir, off-spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Harbhajan Singh, Ajinkya Rahane, mystery spinner Kuldeep Yadav and openers KL Rahul and Murali Vijay will be on the franchises’ radar.
The list also includes the overseas players, including Glenn Maxwell, Chris Gayle, Shane Watson, Rashid Khan and Eoin Morgan.
In the 10th season, Mumbai Indians led by Rohit Sharma defeated Pune to lift the IPL trophy for the third time.
The 11th season of the much-awaited Indian Premier League will begin on 6th April 2018.
The opening ceremony of the tournament will take place on April 6 in Mumbai while the first match of the new season will be played at the same venue on April 7.
He further informed that the tournament will continue until May 27 with Mumbai once again hosting the final match.

Shri Venkateshwara University organized over a dozen events marking the Health awareness Week.
On the occasion of World Health day (April 7), the Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS), Shri Venkateshwara University along with VGI Meerut organized a 5 day Health Awareness week which culminated on April 11th. For spreading health awareness, the health awareness week included health awareness rally, poster making, health seminar, street plays, quiz & over a dozen events banishing drugs & female foeticide. The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, Dean Academics Dr Sanjiv Bhatt, and Abhinav Giri, inaugurated the closing ceremony by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati. Major Dr Vinay Kumar, & Col. Dr Atul Verma also assisted them in inaugurating the event. The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri & the Pro chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, felicitated the winners by presenting them memento & a certificate. In his address, the Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri asserted that because of the brilliant leadership of our Honorable PM the common man can avail world class healthcare facilities. The Pro chancellor, Dr Rajiv Tyagi, announced that along with cities, the Venkateshwara Group is establishing health centers in rural areas to provide free of cost medical services to the poor. Dr Sanjiv Bhatt reiterated our medical students are spreading health awareness in the rural areas. Those present included the CEO Ajay Shrivastava, CMO Dr I B Raju, Officiating VC Dr Rakesh Yadav, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, and the Meerut Campus director Dr Pratap Singh. Critically ill patient successfully operated upon at VIMS
It was a day of remarkable achievement for the Venkateshwara Group.
Dr Prachi Tyagi Senior Gynaecologist at Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) operated upon a woman suffering from hepatitis C.
She & her team of Doctors helped her deliver a child suffering from Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) thus saving the life of the mother & child.
For ensuring good health, the newborn is being kept at Paediatric ICU & is out of danger.
Dr Prachi Tyagi, while elaborating on the surgery, informed that the pregnant women got admitted 3 days ago & was suffering from Hepatitis C.
Our team of Doctors performed a 3 hour long critical operation, thus saving both the mother & child. The new born is recuperating in the Paediatric ICU & is out of danger.
The team of Doctors performing the operation included Dr Prachi Tyagi, Senior Resident Dr. Shikha Srivastava, Dr Kunika Batra, renowned Paediatricians Dr Priti Tandon, Dr Waris Bilal, Dr Rahul, Dr Tarun & Anaesthesiologist Dr Awadhesh among others.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, complimented the team of Doctors performing this critical surgery.
Dr Rajiv Tyagi Pro-chancellor SVU asserted VIMS is providing cost effective, world class healthcare facilities to the people of the area.

Venkateshwara Multispecialty hospital VIMS created history by successfully curing Sidra, a 2.5 months old coma-stricken girl who received advanced treatment at its Pediatrics department.
The girl was suffering from Septicemia & severe anemia & received advanced treatment for 8 continuous days before getting well. Earlier, at Safdarjung & the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Senior Pediatrician Dr. Waris Bilal & his team of doctors provided advanced treatment at the Newborn ICU & saved Sidra’s life. Senior Pediatrician Dr. Waris Bilal explained that the girl’s parents had lost all hopes of her survival owing to Septicemia & Severe Anemia. We put her on the ventilator & gave her blood & blood products to improve her condition. Post this through Photosynthesis technology & advanced treatment, we brought her to senses. Many of her organs, including the heart, were not working. Through advanced treatment, the child has recovered & we have discharged her. The team of Dr. Waris Bilal comprises Dr. Rahul Malik, Dr. Tarun Kumar, and Dr. Neeraj Singh, along with others.
