AUTHOR'S NOTE: Here is part 2, I hope you enjoyed it and are enjoying this series so far. I hope you enjoy this part, I apologize for it being so long, I thought about splitting it up but my gut was just telling me to keep going and end on a slight cliff hanger. It’ll be picked up in part 3 though so fear not. The ending that I had was not the intended direction I was heading for but I like how it ended so it's sticking, I just really got into writing this part which is why it's so long. Plus I’m a sucker for angst, so I had to have something in this part. As we progress through this series it will start to get more mature and will eventually be for readers over 18+ with eventual smut as well. I just haven't decided when it’ll get more mature and when the eventual smut will happen. I did make a playlist for this series, the link to the playlist can be found in the series masterlist under "word count". And if you’d like to be added to the permanent tags let me know in the comments or send me a message. And please feel free to send some asks if you wanna know more about Eddie and Reader’s relationship or other characters in the series. I would love that a lot, it makes me excited and happy about my series.

The birds were chirping outside, you could hear them through the open window in your apartment. It was a warm night in the middle of August, which you thought was odd considering August seemed to have some hot days already. You turned on your air mattress and reached out for your phone that rested on the floor and had been connected to the charger. You watched the screen pop up so you could look at the time.
There was a text message from your brother and one from your dad. Luckily there was no text message from your ex. You had blocked the number she had used last night to contact you, but you wouldn't put it past her to get another number and start texting and calling you again. If that were the case you knew you would be turning your phone off a lot until you could get a new one.
After looking at the messages left from your dad and brother you decided to get ready so you could head out and look for a new teaching position. Your old school would be sending over whatever paperwork that would be needed for your hire. You had your resumé and portfolio ready. After getting ready for the day you grabbed everything you needed and headed towards your front door.
You opened the door and went to walk out only to see Eddie standing at your door ready to knock. A sudden gasp left your lips as Eddie stared down at you. You looked pretty today, Eddie couldn't deny that. The way you had dressed caused the man to smile and try and hide the blush that was creeping up his neck. You held onto your bag tightly. Your phone was in your pocket and your keys were in your left hand.
"What are you doing here?" You questioned, eyes scanning Eddie for any trace of a lie he might throw out.
"I came to see you, Bug." Eddie said, smirking after watching the roll of her eyes. So she likes to be a brat? He thought to himself as he continued to stare at you.
"Please don't call me Bug, that name is only reserved for Sam and my dad." You were stern when you told Eddie how you felt about the nickname.
"Okay, so what can I call you?" Eddie clearly wanted to know your name and you were definitely hesitant to tell him. Without a second thought crossing your mind your name dropped from your lips. Eddie smiled triumphantly. He repeated your name like he had been saying it all his life, and if you were being honest with yourself you really like how your name rolled off his tongue.
Then you wondered what he'd be like in the sheets, what he would be like with his tongue on you. Before you could get any further into the little thoughts you were having your phone started to ring. You forgot you had turned the sound back on. You answered the phone without checking who was calling you.
"Hello." You called out, Eddie was waiting for the phone call to end so he ended up leaning against the wall while you turned around and closed your door to look up.
"You are some bitch, you know that. You really think you can skip town on me and leave me behind."
You sighed and turned away from Eddie. He would still be able to hear everything but you didn't want him to see your face. You didn't want to see him the way she was making you feel.
"Jules, look, we broke up, I moved on, and you need to do the same." You tried to keep your voice calm and collected with Eddie right behind you but he could hear the break in your voice, he was sure Jules could hear it too.
"I'm not moving on, not until I have you back in my arms." Her tone of voice made you flinch slightly, something Eddie has also seen.
"That's never going to happen."
"You better believe it will. I'll-"
You ended the call before Jules could say another word to you. Your phone was quickly turned to silent and you shoved it back into your back pocket. Jules would definitely be calling you again, which meant you had to get a new phone now. Gathering yourself together you exhaled and turned around to look back at Eddie. He was still leaning against the wall.
His arms were crossed over his chest and a tattoo was peaking through slightly, not to mention you could get a better look at the few tattoos that rested on his fingers. It made him look super sexier, and it really helped that he was a biker.
"Sorry about that." You paused, while Eddie adjusted himself slightly. "It was my ex, she won't leave me alone. Jules, she thinks we're meant to be with each other, soulmates and all that bullshit."
"And you don't?" Eddie asked, he knew that maybe this was his way to get to know more about Sam's little sister.
"Well, my first ex before Jules, Mikey, he believed in all that crap and I did too. Thought he was the one I was supposed to be with but then the shit hit the window and things got bad so we broke up. Now he's in Cali fucking whoever and doing all the drugs, at least that's what I heard. Then I met Jules not even a few weeks after Mikey and I ended things and I thought she was perfect, but she was too perfect. Anyway, one thing after another happened and now here I am."
The two of you started walking down the steps. Eddie was right on your trail as he digested the new information you had given him. You still weren't going into much detail with the break-up between you and Jules but it was clear how much it was taking a toll on you. Then you stopped on the steps remembering that neither your dad nor Sam knew. Eddie stopped on the step above her, he was looking down at you and honestly it was kinda sexy.
"Please don't tell my dad, or Sam. I don't want them knowing that's the real reason I'm back in Hawkins. As far as they knew I had to leave my mom and step-father behind." You had only known this man less than a day and already you were making him keep a secret from his boss.
"You got it, princess." Though Eddie was certain that Allen and Sam would know before the week was out. It would either come out of his mouth, or you would slip, it was going to happen one way or another.
The two of you continued down the stairs of your apartment building until you finally made it to the sidewalk that led you to your car. Eddie had managed to park his bike next to your car. This allowed you to get a better look at it. His bike was a Harley Davidson, that much was clear. It also contained a design on it, most of the bike had been covered in webbing.
A large spider was in the center of the bike, standing still on the web that it seemed to have created. You looked closer at it and noticed that the spider must've been a Black Widow, because you could see the hourglass peeking through. Not to mention there were a few other hourglasses on his bike, but most were small and barely noticeable. The bike really seemed to suit Eddie, and honestly you kind of liked the way it looked.
"So where are you off to today?" Eddie questioned, as he leaned up against his bike at the same time you leaned against the hood of your car.
"I have to go to Hawkins Middle School to make sure they have all the paperwork for my transfer and I have to give them my resumé and portfolio." You paused for a minute. "They just wanted to make sure everything is good before I start working at the end of August."
You watched Eddie smile at the way you had yourself prepared for your job and you still had a few weeks to get ready. The only thing that really seemed to be crossing Eddie's mind was that he wanted to spend the day with you. It's why he had shown up at your door, hand ready to send a knock on the door at full throttle.
"Mind if I tag along with ya, princess?" Just the way his question rolled off his tongue had you a hot mess on the inside. Never in your life had someone made you feel this way. You didn't feel it with any one night stands and you definitely didn't feel it with Mikey or Jules. It was different with Eddie. You felt safe with him.
"I don't see why not." You looked at your car and then Eddie's bike. If you were being honest with yourself you wanted to ride on his bike. "Whose vehicle are we taking?" You had questioned, all while hoping he would just say his.
"We can take my bike." Eddie said softly, with a smile jumping to his lips as he stared at you.
"I guess it's a good thing I decided to go for a book bag today." You mumbled.
Eddie snickered at you. Meanwhile, you took your phone out of your pocket and placed it in your book bag with your keys. Before you dropped your keys into the bag you popped open the trunk. Walking to the back you grabbed the helmet that Sam had gifted you as an early birthday present. He gave it to you last night after Eddie and Steve had left and you felt that it would be safe and sound in the trunk of your car rather than your apartment.
When you closed your trunk and placed the helmet over your head, Eddie seemed shocked that you had come prepared. He stared at it, seeing their signature logo on the front of the helmet. Which prompted even more confusion. While you weren't a biker, you had ties to the club because your dead lead it and your brother was the second in command with Eddie and Steve right below him.
"Sam got it for me. An early birthday gift, I guess. Or maybe a welcome home gift." You smiled at Eddie as he turned on his bike and you climbed onto the back.
"When's your birthday?" Eddie adjusted himself slightly as you wrapped your arms around his waist tightly.
"At the end of August. August 31st to be exact."
"I'm glad I get to be here when you celebrate it."
"I'm turning 25, there's not much to celebrate. I'm just another year older that's all."
"I get that." Eddie paused as he backed up his bike out of the parking spot. "Better hold on tight, princess, don't want you fallin' off." You smiled, tightening your grip just a little more. Once Eddie knew you were secure around his waist he drove off heading for Hawkins Middle School.
──── ❝ ◂ ❚ ⊱ꕥ⊰ ❚ ▸ ❞ ─────
Eddie pulled up to the middle school and turned off his bike. You climbed off and took the helmet off, setting it where you had just been sitting. You looked at Eddie as he placed his brown eyes on you.
"I'll be waiting here when you're done. And when you're done I'm taking you into town, my treat." Eddie said, sternly.
"Eddie, you don't have to do that." You didn't want to turn him down but you also didn't want him to go out of his way to make plans with you. "Besides I'm sure Sam and my dad probably need your help with whatever they normally do." In that sense you were honestly completely clueless to what they actually did.
You knew that the club was big and that they often went out of their way to take care of things that Chief Hopper might not be able to take care of. You also knew that sometimes your dad and brother would go home with a bloody face or bloody knuckles, you knew not to ask questions when you saw it if you were on FaceTime. Basically you knew not to ask questions about work.
If they wanted to tell you they would. And you honestly didn't have a problem with that. You didn't want to really know about the horrors that they might be facing, or that they might be putting their lives on the line for the job. But at the end of the day you knew that they knew how to protect themselves. Eddie started to shake his head at you.
"Nonsense, if Allen or Sam need me they'll call me. If I'm needed for a job they know how to get in touch. But until that happens I'll be waiting here for you when you get out." There was that smile that Eddie already loved, he watched as it brightened your face. You found yourself sucking your bottom lip in-between your teeth to hide the smile on your lips.
"Okay, I shouldn't be too long. I'll be back in a little while." With those words you turned around and walked towards the front door of Hawkins Middle school. Back in New York you had spent the last two years teaching 8th grade. It was the grade that you wanted to teach and had been approved to teach in Hawkins.
As you walked into the school you headed towards the front looking for the office where you met with the principal and the assistant principal. It had been so long since you had stepped foot in the middle school, it was honestly strange to be back here as a teacher this time rather than a student. As you turned the corner you walked right into someone whom you assumed was another teacher.
"I'm sorry." You said, leaning down to help pick the papers from the ground.
"It's all right." She lifted from the ground as you did too. The woman in front of you had blond hair, it was a short length just above her shoulders. She was wearing a floral dress, and had nude heels on. "I'm Amy Willow, I teach 8th Science." She said introducing herself, then holding her hand out in front of you.
You took her hand in yours and shook it while telling her your name. "I will most likely be teaching 8th grade English. That's actually why I'm here, to get everything sorted out. I have a meeting with the principal and assistant principal." You explained.
"Oh, I can take you there. And then afterwards I can take you to your room. It's only a few doors down from mine."
"You know about me?" You were confused, but then again you wouldn't be surprised if they had already made a statement about how you would be joining them for the school year.
"Oh yeah, you're the gossip around here. Something new, we haven't had something new since the Earthquake a few years ago. Not to mention the Biker club around town. Though that one biker is kinda cute." You looked at her as you walked next to her.
"Which biker are you talking about?" You were hoping that she wasn't talking about Eddie, because you wanted nothing more than to have him to yourself. Though that thought would never see the day of light.
"He's probably a little taller than you, I think his dad runs the Wolves and he's like his second in command." You had the biggest shit eating grin on your face and Amy definitely picked up on it. "What?" She asked, with a chuckle falling out of her mouth after the chuckle.
"That is Sam, and he's my older brother."
"Oh, my god. That's embarrassing. I am so sorry."
"No, god, please don't be. Sam needs someone in his life other than my dad, and me, and the Wolves. I'd be happy to put in a good word for you." You looked at Amy, watching as her smile got bigger.
"You would do that?" The shock that dripped from her voice surprised you.
"Yes, I think you and Sam would be great together. Plus I am in dire need of some friends."
"I need some friends too. Most of the teachers don't like me. Guess cause I'm either too young or I'm too weird for them."
"How could you be too young? And honestly who cares if you're weird. Everyone's weird in their own way."
Amy gave a shrug, the two of you eventually coming to a stop outside the office. "I'm in my 20's, I went to school here a few years ago so it's weird for the teachers that know me. But anyway, here is the office. And this is my number. Feel free to text or call, or FaceTime, whatever your comfortable with and definitely give it to your brother."
"I will make sure your number makes its way into his phone. Thank you for showing me the way."
"You're welcome. I'll be just down the hall making some copies, please come get me when you're done and I'll show you to your room."
"Sounds like a plan." You took the piece of paper that had her number on it and shoved it in your pocket. Then after saying your goodbye to Amy you headed into the office to sit down and talk with the principal's. All went well and they gave you keys to get into the school and to get into your room. Afterwards you met up with Amy and she walked you to your room.
It was a little bigger than the room you had in New York. You couldn't wait to decorate and make the room yours. On the desk that rested at the front of the classroom had your work laptop as well as the curriculum for what you would be teaching this year. As you glanced over it you noticed that it was a little different from the curriculum that you had been teaching in New York.
This was the fresh start you desperately needed. And now that you had your classroom and your work computer, everything was falling into place. A smile tugged at the corner of your lips as you turned around in the classroom. While you had a lot of setting up to do for the classroom you knew it would be worth it in the long run. There was a knock at your door and you looked to see Amy.
"I'm heading out for the day, just wanted to say goodbye." Amy said.
"I'll walk with you, just give me a sec." Amy gave a nod of her head. You turned towards your desk and unzipped your book bag putting your laptop and the papers into it. Once it was zipped you walked out of the classroom walking with Amy.
"So, what are your plans for the rest of the day?" Amy questioned.
"Oh, I'm going to see the town, I don't really have a choice in the matter. And then my dad wants me to stop by later for something." You explained as the two of you walked out of the school. Your eyes found Eddie who was still leaning against his bike. "Do you wanna meet someone?" You asked, placing your eyes on Amy.
"Sure." She saw Eddie and seemed to be hesitant but followed behind her. Eddie picked himself up from his bike.
"Eddie, this is Amy Willow. We'll be working together in the next few weeks. Amy, this is Eddie Munson."
"Oh, you work with her brother Sam right?" Amy was in all smiles as she asked the question. Eddie was staring at her with a blank look, it seemed that he was studying her to determine if she would be safe enough around you.
"I do. He's one of my best friends." Eddie answered, causing you to look at him with a serious but playful look. Something of which Eddie took note of. You knew now that if you wanted to do something with Eddie you might just have to sneak around, it got you hot and bothered just thinking about it.
"Oooh that's so exciting. Well I should get going. I'll see you around." Amy turned to look at you. "If you need help setting up your room, just call down to my room or shoot me a text. And if you want to hang out over a glass of wine please let me know." Your laughter filled Eddie's ears as your smiled brightly at her. He couldn't help the little small smile that appeared on his lips.
"I will let you know. Thank you for being a huge help today. And I promise I'll put in a good word with Sam. I'll make sure you two have a date by the end of the week."
Shock ran across Amy's face, as Eddie exchanged a glance with you. You felt that this had been the most happy you had been since leaving New York. You were with a guy that you definitely felt growing feelings towards, and you had made your first friend.
"You really don't have to do that." Amy was insistent on it.
"Nonsense, I think it's the least I can do for someone whom I know will be my best friend, and maybe one day my sister-in-law." You and Eddie both saw the blush that crept on her face as she looked between you two. Amy gave a nod and eventually walked away. You moved over to Eddie and he looked at you.
"Give me one minute." Eddie said, he left you on his bike confused as he called out Amy's name. From a distance you watched the two make a brief interaction with each other. You watched her give Eddie a nod before they both turned away from each other. Amy was heading to her car again and Eddie was heading back to you.
"What was that all about?" You asked curiously, staring at the biker with soft eyes.
He gave a tight lipped smile, "just wanted to ask her something, that's all. You ready for the town tour?" Eddie questioned, trying to change the subject quickly.
"You know that I lived in Hawkins when I was younger, right?"
"I know, but I'm sure it's changed since you were last here."
You gave a slight nod with a shrug of your shoulders. Eddie climbed on his bike and turned it on. You placed your helmet over your hair and climbed onto the back of the bike, eventually wrapping your arms around Eddie's slim waist tightly. He smirked to himself, taking off heading down the road towards town.
───── ❝ ◂ ❚ ⊱ꕥ⊰ ❚ ▸ ❞ ─────
Your travels into the town had been short lived. Though what you had seen, you could tell just how much the town of Hawkins had changed since you had last visited it. You and Eddie were now heading to your dad's house as requested. Though you were still clueless as to why you were even going there. You had a small smile on your lips when Eddie pulled up to your dad's house.
"Here we are, princess." Eddie said, kicking the stand out and turning his bike off. You pulled your arms from Eddie's waist, and turned to look at the house you hadn't seen in so long.
"Home sweet home." You said, pulling your helmet off and holding onto the straps after you clipped them back together.
"How longs it been since you were here?" Eddie questioned as he placed his brown eyes on you.
Your eyes found his, "uh, I think about 10 maybe more than that, maybe less. I came for a few summers but then my mother didn't want me seeing my dad or brother anymore so I didn't see them for a long time, or this house. The only time I really saw my brother and dad was when I could FaceTime with them when I got a phone."
"Are you excited to be back home?" You walked towards the front door with Eddie following right behind you.
"Of course I am. I hated living in New York. Teaching up there was okay, but I hated everything the city had to offer. So yes, I am very happy to be back home with this quiet life."
"Hopefully it won't be such a quiet life." Eddie smirked at you. You looked back at him playfully.
"I don't think I will, not if you're planning to stay around."
"Well, I don't plan on going anywhere princess."
The door opens and you turn back around to see your older brother standing at the front door with a bright smile on his face.
"Why are you smiling like that, Sam?" You asked quizzically.
Sam looked at you and then at Eddie, but then his eyes fell back on you. "I have no idea what you're talking about, Bug." Sam grabbed your arm and pulled you into the house.
Eddie followed behind the two of you watching the sibling interaction. The lights turned on and everyone jumped out yelling surprise. The sudden noise caused you to panic slightly, you backed up into Eddie. The biker took notice of the way you suddenly changed at the voices that ran through your ears. But you calmed down when you felt Eddie slid his fingers into yours for just a brief moment.
You were quick to replace your panicked look with a happy one. Sam didn't take notice of the way you had reacted but like Eddie your dad had seen it too. He would make sure to pull you aside later and have a talk with you about it. Deep down it brought you back to the times where you and Jules would constantly argue with each other, not to mention the amount of times that your step-father would raise his voice to you.
Sam pulled you around to everyone, your fingers disconnected from Eddie's as you were pulled away. You were introduced to Chief Hopper and his wife Joyce. After you had meant them you had met the kids that Steve used to babysit before he became a part of the Wolves. Though they were in college now, you met all of them. Dustin Henderson was the first you had met followed by Mike Wheeler who was Nancy Wheeler's younger brother.
You met Will and El who were step-siblings, and their older brother Jonathan who was dating Nancy. Then you finally met Lucas and Erica Sinclair who had been standing with Max Mayfield. Eventually you noticed all the kids were hanging out with each other and talking about a game while they ate some food. Steve introduced you to his girlfriend, Becca Reynolds.
She was nice and you like her a lot. After you had met her, you finally met Robin and you knew almost instantly that you two would be best friends. The last person you least expected to be there had been one you already knew.
"Amy?" You asked, as she stuffed her face with a burger. She turned away from your father and looked at you and Sam. Eddie was elsewhere, most likely talking to Steve and Becca. She dropped her burger onto her plate and placed it on the counter. Your dad turned around and looked at you and your brother. "What are you doing here?" You questioned as the two of you hugged each other.
Sure you had just met earlier in the morning, but she was already your first real friend here in Hawkins. Like Eddie, and your dad and brother she was making Hawkins feel like a home again.
"Uh, Eddie, he invited me this morning. He thought you might like having someone you know here at the party." Amy answered, when she pulled back from the hug. You had a bubbly smile on your lips, your eyes found Eddie. He had been watching the entire interaction.
"Thank you." You whispered to him. Eddie only gave a nod and smiled back at you.
"So who is this? She seems to be the only one that we don't know." Sam said, pulling your attention back to the already ongoing conversation.
"This is Amy Willow, we'll be working together soon." You answered.
"It's nice to meet you Amy, I'm Sam. Bug's older brother." Sam said introducing himself to her. It seemed like you didn't need to do anything else because Sam was already so interested in Amy. You dad took that as a perfect opportunity to talk to you in his office. He excused himself as well as you and grabbed a hold of your hand pulling him with you.
"Dad, what are you doing?" You questioned, completely confused as to what was happening.
"We need to talk in my office." His words cut through your ears and you suddenly feared what he wanted to talk about. When you two were in his office and the door was closed and locked he sat down at the edge of his desk looking at you. "Tell me why you're really here, Bug." Allen said.
Your eyes found your father and took in the frame of his stance, he had locked the door so you knew neither of you would be leaving until you came out with the truth. You hadn't even been here for a week and he had already picked up on something. Though to be fair your dad could read you like a book. When you were involved you couldn't hide your emotions from him like you could with others.
Though you weren't doing a good job hiding it from Eddie because you had already spilled the news to Eddie. A deep sigh rippled through your chest, you walked over to one of the chairs in front of his desk and sat down. You tried to keep yourself calm but you found that didn't help much when you started bouncing your leg.
"Would you be okay if Eddie were in here?" You questioned, not looking up from your hands.
You dad didn't say anything, he stood up and walked towards the door and walked out leaving you alone with your thoughts. Allen knew that the second you came here that Eddie would be interested in you, because you were everything he wanted. And he knew it would be the same for you and by the look of it you two were already tugging at something.
"Munson!" Allen called out, Sam looked at Allen with a serious look on his face as he stopped the conversation between him and Amy.
"Everything okay, dad?" Sam questioned.
"Yeah, everything's fine. Make sure the guests are well fed, or get them in the pool." Allen ordered as Eddie walked up to him.
"Everything okay, sir?" Eddie inquired when he stopped in front of Allen.
"Come with me." Allen turned back around and walked down the hallway with Eddie following behind him. Sam did as told and got their guest and the rest of the Wolves outside where the pool was. Most of them had gone outside anyway but the rest were still inside. You looked up when your dad walked back into his office with Eddie on his trail.
"What's happening?" Eddie asked another question as the door was shut and locked.
Allen looked at Eddie and then at you. "I know what trouble looks like when I see it. So tell me, Bug, what did Jules do to you that made you run back home?" Allen questioned you.
"How do you know about Jules?" You were now utterly confused. You had only told your brother about Jules, you didn't want either of your parents to know. You knew both would be a pain because you were jumping into another relationship rather than taking a pause. "Sam told you, didn't he?"
"He did, and when I found out I had Hopper find everything he could find on her. Turns out Jules isn't her real name and she doesn't have a pretty past." Eddie looked at your dad with wide eyes, you having the same look on your face as well.
"What does that mean?" The question left Eddie's lips before he could stop it.
"It means that you're going to stay with my daughter and protect her until we can locate Jules and have her arrested for some kind of charge. You're the only boy I trust enough to protect my baby. I knew what was happening the second you told Sam you were coming back to Hawkins." Your dad explained.
"What did she do?" You asked, fearful of what you might learn about Jules.
"For starters her name isn't Jules, it's Jessica. She kept the same last name but changed her first name. If someone wants to go into hiding the way she did she should've changed her entire name. Secondly, Jessica Hartley killed her mother and father, and pleaded guilty to insanity. Before the trail was finished she escaped. She had the help of her ex-girlfriend before you, and well she didn't live to see another day because she's dead too. Now Jessica won't stop until you're dead and I'm not going to let her hurt you."
So much for a fresh start. You thought that to yourself, your dad and Eddie were talking to each other but you couldn't hear their voices. The only thing you could actually hear was a ringing in your ears that wouldn't seem to go away. Not only had she lied to you about who she was but now she might just be on her way to kill you. The panic was starting to settle in the pit of your stomach. You took a deep breath in and exhaled.
"Where is Jessica now? Is she still in New York?" You heard Eddie ask your father.
"I have some of the boys up in New York checking out her apartment. I'm hoping that she's still there and we don't have to prepare for any kind of war that she might want to start."
You stood up from your chair, keeping your eyes on your father. Eddie and Allen were staring at you. "Why would you have to prepare for a war?"
"Because Jessica Hartley is the actual daughter of one of our largest and painfully annoying rival groups. They are mostly located in California, but they have some in New York too. They're the reason Jessica killed her parents, her ex was a part of the group but her dad had her kill her. And well now he wants you dead because he can't get anywhere near me or Sam."
"Fuck." You breathed out, now you really wished you had seen the red flags. You lifted your hand to your throat and started rubbing it.
"Honey, you're gonna be okay. Eddie's gonna stay with you and watch out for you. Not to mention Amy will be watching you while you're at work, and Robin will be there too. Eddie can make as many stops to the school as he needs to if that's something you want."
"What? Are you saying Amy fucking works for you?" Allen could see that what he had said wasn't helping you.
"She does and doesn't. Her dad was a ranger out in Texas before he moved out here. I trusted her father and I trust her, she knows how to use a gun and how to fight. She's still a teacher but she will protect you if needed."
"No." You said sternly, eyeing your father.
"If Jules is coming after me then you're going to use me as bait. You're going to train me how to protect myself and I expect to be a part of this after it's over."
"No, I'm not letting you get in on this, I barely wanted your brother with me. You have a good life as a teacher."
"I can barely afford the apartment I'm living in. And yes I love teaching the kids and for the remainder of this year I'll still teach, but I want in dad. I'm not going to be some damsel in distress. I'm not gonna sit on the sidelines while Eddie, Amy, and Robin try to protect me from my psycho ex girlfriend who I wished I had seen the red flags before I got involved with her. I am doing this."
Eddie and Allen exchanged a look with each other. "What do you think, Munson?" Allen questioned, hoping he would side with him.
"I think your daughter is tough, and I think this plan would work. Maybe Bug here is the key to taking down the Stingers. Maybe this is how we get on top of them. I can't believe I'm saying this but I agree with princess over there." Eddie said, having your back.
Allen released an angry sigh as he looked at the two. This is not what he had in mind at all. But he knew deep down that this plan might just allow them to put a stop to the Stingers before any more damage could be done.
"Okay, fine. But your training starts tomorrow. Eddie is still staying with you. And we have to wait for the call to decide where we go from there." Allen explained.
"What call?"
"We're waiting to see if Hartley is still in New York."
"And if she's not?"
"Then you're gonna have to be a damsel in distress."

I need to see corroded coffin trying parkour and being so abysmally awful at it. I need to know that they ‘practice’ while setting up and breaking down for a gig, jumping over amps and drums and bar stools and falling every. Single. Time. I need to have them getting up from the floor with arms raised like they stuck the landing and all yelling at each other. I have to see them falling on their backs or their face and not getting up but sticking a thumbs up in the air before the next person makes their attempt and also failing. I need them to tell people they do parkour and anybody seeing them shaking their heads and walking away because ‘what are they doing?’ While corroded coffin are slapping each other’s backs and gripping each others shoulders and leap frogging (and failing obviously) and just having fun.

"AT FIRST THE BAND WAS GOING TO BE CALLED BASTARD...."
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on Mk I era MOTÖRHEAD, their very first line-up: Lemmy Kilmister (vocals, bass guitar), Larry Wallis (guitars) and Lucas Fox (Drums), c. 1975. 📸: Roger Morton.
"...In theory, it seemed like a good idea, Lemmy fresh out of HAWKWIND, Larry Wallis battered but unboxed from the "Kings of Oblivion" PINK FAIRIES, plus Lucas Fox, an up and coming young drummer around Ladbroke Grove. At first the band was going to be called BASTARD, but then it mutated to MOTÖRHEAD. The theory began to sound even better. Both Lemmy and Larry came to the new project with a bashful of original compositions -- "Motorhead," "Lost Johnny," "On Parole," "Iron Horse/Born to Lose." Dave Edmunds was up to produce and everything seemed set fair for fame and fortune. Pre-dating the rumblings of punk, the original MOTÖRHEAD concept was to juice the tempo, raise the thrash count and generally shake some action into a metal sector that was becoming ponderous and close to invertebrate."
-- MICK FARREN, CD liner notes to the 1997 repressing of their unreleased debut studio album "On Parole" (1975)

just thinking thoughts abt luca and his muscles.. i KNOW that mf just manhandles you without even thinking abt it like. ur in the kitchen just yapping away abt some really interesting gossip and he's moving you around if ur in the way with a hand on your arm or waist like you weigh nothing. or you're outside walking somewhere and he's moving you outta the way from some asshole on a bike going dangerously fast and you're not paying attention to your surroundings. he has so much muscle obviously he's not putting it to use if it's not on me 🙄🙄[he makes me ILL]
i got this message and had to pace my kitchen btw casual manhandling; fluffy w suggestive undertones MDNI 18+ w/ LUCA (the bear)
luca's working diligently.
you would've worried about distracting him if he wasn't so visible focused, his head consistently dipped to keep his eyes focused on the cutting board. you don't know how he does it, how he's cooking and responding to your shitty and extremely confusing recollection of drama you heard from a friend this morning. his responses are simple, small nods and verbalized "mhm"'s, but they're effective.
"and then, come to find out, she told her that she was in the wrong, even though everyone knows she was literally just sticking up for herself..." you're getting to the climax of the story, the part that made you gasp and dramatically look around your apartment when you first heard the story over the phone. a smile is growing on your face as you wait for luca's reaction, but before it can come, you have to tell him the best part. and for that to happen, you have to continue speaking.
you don't even realize you've stopped speaking until luca prompts you to continue. but it takes you a second, because you need a moment to recover from how casually he has just moved you.
you've gone from standing in front of the spice cabinet, a place luca needed to reach, to standing in front of the sink. and you could've gotten there yourself if he spoke up and asked you to move, which he's done before. but you were in the middle of your story and he probably didn't want to interrupt you. so instead, he placed his hands on your hips, pushed you against the sink, and turned around to grab whatever seasonings he needed. like it was the most casual thing in the world.
and sure, you figure it is actually fairly casual. he's done it before, the most recent time being just a few days ago when you were furiously texting a group chat, too busy staring at the messages as they appeared to watch the sidewalk for any obstacles. before you could even realize that there was a bike coming towards you, luca had you moved out of the way and a middle finger thrown up towards the biker. it made you hot then, and it makes you hot now.
at your silence, luca looks up from his work.
"love? you were saying?"
you blink dumbly. it takes a second, but you try to recover. you resume your earlier position, arms crossed over your chest and ankles crossed over each other as you lean your weight back into the counter.
"yeah, right. where did i stop?"
"everyone knows she was just sticking up for herself but the other girl thought your friend's friend was in the wrong anyway—"
you take it from there, continuing your ramblings and exaggerating the story more and more as it builds, all while trying to push the image of luca's arms—tanned, big, and tattooed—to the back of your mind until you need that information.
which will likely be later in the night when you hope luca will manhandle you like that again.

concept designs for the zombie apocalypse au i'm working on - pt. 2 (small au details under the cut regarding their wardrobe)
---
max's design
takes off her jean jacket during supply runs / fights - used to be billy's jacket
signature weapon is a sawblade baseball bat - was taught how to swing from billy but the bat was modified by dustin
lucas' design
has started wearing jackets less and switched to dress shirts - the jackets were getting in the way of his new shoulder holster
signature weapon is a crossbow / revolver - the best marksman of the group and most knowledgeable with guns (his dad taught him everything as a war veteran) can really use anything!
dustin's design
found his vest off of some dead biker guy, thought it looked sick, and hasn't taken it off since - he puts pins on it to personalize it
no real signature weapon because he tends to stick away from fighting, more support - he knows basic fighting skills but is a beast with his crafted weapons (e.g. bomb traps, molotovs, etc)
is the pack mule when it comes to supply runs - he stays with mike and will to scout but brings a heavy backpack with possible backup supplies / weapons if need be
---
other notes: wanted to share that the apocalypse starts in 2019 while the kids were born in 2015. the first arc of the story takes place in apocalyptic 2028 and so on (their current designs are for arc 3). reason? i wanted them to experience some of the music and technology up to the 21st century :] i'll make a more official story thing later! maybe i'll write something for this au or draw a comic? idk my creative writing skills are pretty weak but we'll never know until we try LMAO

looks can be deceiving (2) II a.russo x reader

one more secretly soft biker gf (au) lessi based off this request here looks can be deceiving (2) II a.russo x reader
your eyes fluttered awake as you heard the blare of your alarm from your phone beside you, screen lighting up the dark bedroom as you sighed, hand reaching across to flick it off.
you tiredly rubbed your face and let out a deep sigh, knowing you needed to get up and ready for work soon being on the opening shift. ever so gently you moved alessia's arm from where it was draped over your torso, placing it gingerly across her own stomach.
though no sooner had you slightly shifted to move yourself did her arms return, wrapping around you even tighter than before. "lessi baby, i have work." you reminded quietly with a smile, turning around in her hold and running a hand affectionately through her messy mop of hair which lay sprawled across her pillow.
"don't go." was all the half asleep girl muttered, shuffling in closer to you and burying her face in your neck. "i have to go." you laughed softly, kissing her forehead as she whined tiredly.
"no you don't. you have to stay here with me, in this bed, forever." alessia demanded sleepily, lazily kissing your neck. you squirmed feeling her deeply exhale against your skin as her nose tucked into the column of your throat.
"i can't do forever but i can give you...six and a half more minutes?" you bargained glancing at the time on your phone, scratching at her scalp and feeling her wordlessly nod, hugging you even closer as you smiled.
this routine wasn't anything new to you. in fact alessia was the furthest thing from a morning person you'd ever known. the only time she ever got up before midday was if she had work at her dads shop and even then she was rarely ever seen there before ten.
"okay i have to get up now my love or i won't have time to shower." you warned softly, alessia groaning discontentedly but letting you go none the less. you sat up and swung yourself out of bed, sitting on the edge of the mattress for a second to properly wake yourself up given it was only quarter past four in the morning, your shift starting at five.
you stood with a stretch as a tattooed hand snuck out from the covers, lazily smacking your bum as bright blue eyes peered out from the covers with a tired but cheeky smile. you shook your head as the girl rolled back over, hugging her pillow instead and you made your way to the bathroom.
"hey." you poked and prodded at the human sized lump beneath the duvet a half hour later as you finished tying your hair up, about to leave. "i'm leaving baby." you announced, moving to sit on top of alessia over the covers, tugging the blanket down to reveal her face.
"have a nice day gorgeous." the girl mumbled, eyes still closed as you ducked down to pepper her face with kisses before getting up off of her. "you should come get a coffee later." you added on hopefully, working part time as a barista while you studied environmental law.
"i have to go to the shop later to get a package for luca, maybe i will." alessia exhaled, pulling herself into a sitting position as she squinted up at you, eyes puffy from being half asleep, long mane of bed hair disheveled and pushed to one side of her head.
"you're so cute less honestly." you swooned at the sight, bending down and kissing her lips softly, pulling away before she could take it any further.
"shut up or get back in this bed with me." alessia warned tiredly, body flopping backwards into the pillows as her arms covered her face again, one tattooed leg poking out from the covers as she stretched with a groan followed by a deep sigh.
with a shake of your head you smoothed her hair out of her face, tenderly kissing her warm forehead and swatting away her hands which tugged at your top, mumbling a final goodbye against her lips before grabbing your bag and leaving her apartment.
~
"i guess that one's for you." you glanced up at your coworkers quiet chuckle, spotting your girlfriend hovering by the counter, fiddling with one of her bracelets, a bored expression on her face.
"hi baby." you greeted with a warm smile, handing the takeaway cappacino to the woman waiting on the other side of the machine and standing by the register. "usual?" you asked as the older girl nodded, glaring at you as you quickly tapped your own phone on the awaiting eftpos to pay.
"just say thank you and smile." you teased with a wink, moving back to the espresso machine as alessia rolled her eyes but mumbled a thank you, shoving her hands into the pockets of her favorite leather jacket which adorned her shoulders.
"you finish in an hour yeah?" your girlfriend asked as you began to make her drink, humming in confirmation. "is it okay if i wait around? i can walk you home." she offered sweetly as you sent her an amused smile.
"so you can walk me to your home?" you grinned as alessia rolled her eyes again but a smile tugged at her lips as she accepted the iced coffee you slid her way.
"shut up. you look cute in your little apron." she complimented, slipping a straw into her drink and wandering away to a table out front, pulling out a book you'd not noticed she had tucked under her arm, propping her legs up and getting comfortable.
alessia was so caught up in her book she hadn't realised the time, jumping a little in surprise as you tapped her on the shoulder, apron folded up in your hand and bag slung over your shoulder having finally finished.
"hated it then?" you nodded to her empty coffee cup with a grin as she marked her place and snapped her book closed, tucking it back under her arm. "had better." she shrugged with a blank stare as you looked at her with offence.
"i'm joking, it was perfect as usual." she quickly stood to pull you into a hug, your girlfriend not ever being one for much pda as the two of you made your way out of the cafe, you calling out goodbye to your coworkers over your shoulder as alessia held the door for you.
"your apartments this way?" you frowned as alessia started off the opposite direction, nodding for you to follow her. "i have to grab a few things first." she pointed to the market across the road as the two of you fell into step, you talking her ear off about your shift as alessia listened with an occasional hum to show she was following along, hands still shoved deep into her pockets.
"do you need milk and eggs?" you questioned as the two of you wandered through the market, your girlfriend nodding as her eyes scanned the deli for what she wanted, you scurrying off to grab them.
with alessia being as organised as she was and knowing exactly what she needed it didn't take the two of you long before you were at the checkout. "don't you know her?" you nudged your girlfriend nodding to a random person across the store, utilising the brief few seconds of her looking away to again tap your phone and pay for the groceries.
"oh you little shit." alessia realised she'd been played as she looked back and it was all paid for, you grabbing a bag of shopping with a happy grin. "-and a pack of marlboro reds please." you gave her a displeased look as your girlfriend paid for the pack of cigarettes, shoving them into her back pocket and grabbing the rest of the bags, gesturing for you to hand over your own.
"do that and i am not kissing you." you warned as the two of you began your walk back to her apartment and she nestled a cigarette between her lips. "sure you aren't." she smirked, adjusting the shopping bags which hung off her wrist and finding her lighter as you rolled your eyes and walked off without her.
though with her much longer legs she'd caught up to you in a second, wandering alongside you now a comfortable silence between you two.
"let me try then." you demanded holding your fingers out expectantly for the cigarette which hung between her lips as the girl exhaled a cloud of smoke into the air and firmly shook her head at your request.
"oh babe haven't you heard? apparently these are really bad for you."
~
"are you nearly ready for a break gorgeous?" you almost moaned in relief as your girlfriends large strong hands massaged your tense shoulders expertly, your head falling back and eyes closing with a hum. "yeah i think my brains done for tonight, i've been reading the same page for like ten minutes." you sighed, feeling her lips press against your forehead.
"then come cook with me amore, please." the older girl requested softly, eyes staring down at you from where you sat at her desk. with a nod you allowed her to pull you up and into the kitchen with her.
"pizza?" you perked up recognizing the ingredients she'd laid out, smile curling onto your lips. "you said yesterday you felt like it." alessia pressed herself against you, hands on your hips as her chin rested on your shoulder.
"i love you." you sighed happily, craning your head back to kiss her cheek a few times, grin widening as a small blush settled on them. "i love you." alessia kissed you sweetly before moving away.
"you could help you know baby." your girlfriend quirked an eyebrow in amusement as she kneaded out the pizza dough, your eyes too busy fixated on her tattooed arms rippling as she did so. "i cut up the toppings." you defended, sipping on the glass of red wine she'd poured you.
"i bought most of them already chopped! come here." alessia laughed loudly and you melted at the sound, if it was the last thing you ever heard you'd die a happy woman. with a playful roll of your eyes you slid off the counter, leaving your wine behind as your girlfriend gestured you to stand in front of her.
settling herself behind you the taller girl grabbed your hands, mumbling instructions as she showed you how to roll out and stretch the dough.
"and then what's the most important thing?" alessia asked, watching on proudly as you followed her instructions. "not over kneading it?" you guessed, leaning back into her more as she shook her head.
"no. flour!" you coughed as suddenly a handful of flour smacked into your cheek. "alessia!" you yelled, the taller girl doubled over laughing at the large hand print on your face. "no don't you-" alessia warned as you grabbed your own handful of flour and tossed it in her direction, white flecks raining down all over her.
"okay okay enough! it looks like its been fucking snowing in here." alessia ceased fire after a few more minutes of the two of you racing around tossing flour.
you both sized one another up, alessia with two hand prints on the front of her shirt across her chest, you with a few littering your backside. "you started that." you grinned before she pulled you into a searing kiss, hands gently cradling your face as she poured every ounce of love she held for you into her affections.
"i started it but you're cleaning it."
~
"lessi do you even remember what all of these are? there's that many." you asked softly, sat on the back of your girlfriends thighs as she laid down on the lounge. you'd tugged her shirt up and left it resting on her neck, lovingly tracing the intricate ink which splayed across her back.
"of course. it's not like i blacked out when they were done love i know what's on my body." her body vibrated with a chuckle beneath yours, empty plates and glasses sitting abandoned on the coffee table. "you're running out of room!" you teased, bending to press a tender kiss on the back of her shoulder blades.
"it's fine, once my bodies full i still have yours to draw all over." alessia turned her head to grin up at you. "actually baby. can i draw something on you?" alessia asked curiously as you hesitated momentarily.
"with a pen, not my gun." she clarified as you nodded with a small smile, shuffling back off of her and allowing her to sit up. "okay wait here and take your top off please." your girlfriend ordered gently, pecking your lips and hurrying off to grab what she needed.
"what album gorgeous?" your lover called out, rifling through her record collection. "surprise me." you responded with a smile, hearing her hum and mumble to herself as she thought through her selections.
suddenly the soft voice of frank sinatra began to evade the apartment as you smiled, knowing the older girl was a sucker for old music. "can't beat the classics." she returned with a wink as you nodded approvingly at her choice.
"okay lay down please pretty girl." you did as your girlfriend asked, adjusting the pillow beneath your head as you felt her carefully straddle your backside. "lessi your hands are freezing!" you winced at her cold touch.
"sorry tesoro what was that?" she teased, running her hands up and down your bare sides as you squirmed beneath her, reaching round to pinch her thigh as she bent down to kiss your cheek apologetically.
you settled feeling the gentle touch of the marker on your shoulder blade, turning your head to the side and closing your eyes. you weren't sure how long you lay there but between the gentle music floating around the apartment coupled with your girlfriends warm lips kissing your skin every now and then, comforted by feeling her weight sat on top of you, you began to doze off.
though you couldn't quite fully succumb to sleep as you felt alessia's weight leave you as she stood, kissing your neck and requesting you continue to lay there as her footsteps padded away. you closed your eyes again but cracked one open with a frown as you felt a bright flash.
"no!" you groaned, your girlfriend standing above you with her polaroid in hand and a grin on her face. "yes. now roll over." she instructed with a flick of her hand. "you didn't draw anything there? and i've not got anything on." you reminded as the older girl shrugged.
"and? it's only for me baby." she pouted with a slight smirk, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively as you flipped onto your back, covering your face with your hands as there was another flash. "really?" you peeked out from your hands feeling one of hers press possessively on your stomach, her rings cold against your skin as another flash sounded.
"okay. show me!" you tugged your top on and sat up, holding out your hand for the polaroids she took. "mmm no i think you can wait." alessia teased, holding the photos out of your reach. "give me them!" you sprang to your feet, hitting her and trying to grab the photos but she continued to hold them away from you.
"alessia if you drew something inappropriate on me i swear to-" you warned, cut off by your girlfriend smashing her lips to yours, the feverish kiss taking your breath away as her tongue swirled around your mouth and her teeth nipped teasingly at your bottom lip before she suddenly pulled away.
"here." she handed them over, moving to hug you from behind and rest her chin on your shoulder. "i'll take those, they're for my personal collection." she snatched the two of your bare chest from your fingers with a grin, slipping them into the waistband of her underwear.
"perv." you joked, bumping into her as you turned over the polaroid of your back, facial features softening as your eyes roamed the drawing of an intricate key down your spine.
"oh baby it's beautiful." you smiled, turning your head to smile up at the girl, frowning when she pushed you away and turned you around. "it's not just any key." she started, and you noticed she was holding something behind her back as she gestured for you to put your hands out.
your eyes widened as she placed a single golden key into your palm.
"move in with me?"

Final Goal
Body a day - #30: Pecs
The final entry in @max-the-many's challenge.
Tumblr media
“Paul? Why?” those were Lucas’s last words before he collapsed on the floor, his hand still pressed against his throat, his gaze becoming vacant. I chuckle, “you really haven’t figured out yet? I’m not Paul,” I pinch my cheek and pull, making my face distort grotesquely as Paul’s face detaches from my own underneath. I let go and Paul’s face snaps back in place, restoring my disguise. There’s a brief expression of soul-crushing horror on Lucas’s face, but then it disappears as the sparks in his eyes fade.
“Paul was a really nice disguise, as was your other friend, Stefan, but they were just the means to an end,” I say gloatingly to the unconscious hunk on the floor, kneeling to stay level with him, “you were always my final goal!”
Tumblr media
There’s no response, Lucas seems to be well on his way in the conversion, soon he’ll be ready to wear.
“All it took was a couple of bodysuits to get close to you, your friends will become part of my collection, but you – you are the crown jewel.”
I begin to undress, taking off Paul’s bike leathers, his undersuit and the rest of his motorcycle equipment.
I place my hands on Paul’s forehead and begin to push it backwards, causing his mouth to expand for my own head to poke through it. Feeling the air on my original face feels strange and weirdly unfamiliar, but I’m not staying like this for long, once I’m inside Lucas, I’ll never take him off again.
Slowly I squeeze out of Paul’s skin, struggling to get my body out of his. It isn’t exactly a graceful transition as I clumsily pull out of Lucas’s biker friend, then again nobody is going to know.
I let go of Paul’s skin, letting it collapse on the floor as I eye up my new possession: Lucas Wilson.
He’s ready. I lift up the hollowed-out skinsuit, that used to be Lucas. I was aroused and excited with making this my new permanent body, but I wanted to savour the moment. I strip Lucas, pulling off his clothes piece by piece, placing them in a neat little pile, smelling them as I remove them – it’s a musk, I can’t wait to make my own.
Stripped naked like myself, I admire Lucas’s beautiful and sculpted body, those gorgeous muscles, especially those pecs. And they are all mine!
I carry the Lucas-suit into his bedroom, technically it’s my bedroom now – almost. I place it on the bed, even when deflated and visibly hollow, this body still looks amazing.
I run my fingers gently across his impressive chest, his defined abs, (they aren’t exactly rock-hard, but they will be, once I’m inside,) his well-endowed… his thick thighs and calves. I also run my fingers down his massive arms, from his broad shoulders, to his toned biceps and triceps and big hands. Finally I run my fingers across his angelic, handsome face, distorted by the lack of a skull, but still beautiful. I’m insatiable and feel like I’m about to burst with excitement, I can’t delay this any further.
I grab Lucas and stretching his mouth wide open, I begin to slither in. It’s always such an indescribably arousing feeling to pull on a bodysuit. It’s warm, smooth and squishy inside, and I slid my feet in like I had done a few times before taking my time to get the toes in. I pull Lucas up around my legs, his muscular legs now back to life. I slip his ass over mine and I slip my own meat into his; and like pulling it on like a condom, it springs to life, perfectly reflecting how aroused I am.
I pull Lucas’s mouth further up my torso, making my flat and featureless stomach disappear, and be replace with Lucas’s sculpted abs. I keep pulling, so that I can get the pecs almost in place, then I plunge my hands into Lucas’s impressive arms. Stretching out Lucas’s mouth wide enough to pass my shoulders, I finally get the upper torso into place. Running Lucas’s finger across my wide shoulders, muscular arms and perfect pecs, I smile to myself, before I flex hard, the muscles respond flawlessly. They are ready to serve their new master. I look at my reflection, seeing my face one final time, I must admit, that this pristine body suits me, but I want it all. I then stretch Lucas’s mouth one final time to stretch it over my head, then I let go with a snap. It’s dark for a moment, but I soon open my eyes and see the room again through new eyes.
The second-to-last thing I have to do is to push Lucas’s facial features into place. Staring insatiably as my handsome features fall into place, the facial massage has done it’s trick, I pull a few faces, it’s perfect. “Looking good, Lucas, looking really good,” I say to the stud in the mirror with my new voice.
Tumblr media
I rub my new pecs, I’ve dreamt of rubbing hands my hands all over them since I first saw them on Lucas’s social media, and now they’re all mine! I twist the nipples, each placed on a big slab of muscle. My muscles!
Finally I inject myself with another syringe, I am making this process irreversible. I am Lucas, now and forever. I have never tried this injection before, but it feels like I’m bubbling inside, binding with my new skin, I can feel my senses sharpen and I feel ‘more real’ than ever.
Tumblr media
Looking at myself in the mirror, I laugh, a fiendish laughter expressing my sheer delight of my accomplishment. I rub my nether regions, not able to contain myself any longer and a chill rushes through me, down my spine as I climax satisfyingly. Not bothering to clean up the stains right now, and done with what would only be the first of many sessions of self-gratification, I walk out of the bedroom, where I left the Paul-bodysuit. I smirk to myself, then I grab Paul’s motorcycle leathers, the ones I arrived in, and begin pulling them on my naked body. I’m now bigger and stronger than Paul, so the suit is going to get tested to see if it can contain my new muscular frame. I had no reason to worry, the suit is a perfect fit. It looks even better on Lucas me, than on Paul. Lucas doesn’t have a lot of motorcycle gear, but I’ll make sure to change that, in the hallway I find Lucas’s own motorcycle boots and gloves, well, my motorcycle boots and gloves, both several sizes bigger than what I wore before, but now they fit perfectly on my feet and hands. Riding a motorcycle as Paul was incredible, but going as Lucas is going to be many times better, but it’s going to have to be a short ride for now, there’s so much else I have to do - to put this new body to the test. Pecs and everything!

Protective Mike headcanons! To the whole main cast because a lot of my Byler headcanons involve Mike being protective already why not!
Mike will cross his arms and pretend that he’s not paying attention to Max when she skateboards beside him but after that fall in s2 he’s always ready to reach out and stabilize her in a split second
If Mike has any leftovers, he always offers his food to Holly first if she’s still hungry
He also makes sure she’s never unheard at the kitchen table. Lord save the soul who dares to speak over Holly because Mike will roar at them to SHUT UP and then smile at Holly like so what were you saying? :)
Lucas loves birds just because I’m projecting - and Mike doesn’t really care about birds but if Lucas sees a cool one nearby Mike won’t let anyone scare the bird off so that Lucas can have his fun
Mike is basically a crosswalk guard when he’s with anyone when they hit a crosswalk. Boy is extending his arms and holding the other person/people back, making sure the road is clear before they walk.
Mike is a notoriously slow biker when someone’s riding with him. In danger, he’s booking it, but otherwise, he’s vigilant and tries to avoid rocky paths
If anyone gets hurt near Mike, he’s going to become their personal crutch until they can move independently, sometimes even to the point of irritation. Like someone could hurt a toe and walk fine but Mike is right under their arm like hey you okay? He did this a lot to Dustin before s4 because I said so
Mike’s a little clumsy but if he’s carrying something hot or delicate or the like, he’s using both hands and shooing anyone in his way so he doesn’t drop that thing and hurt anyone
Going off his adorable binder of Will’s drawings, Mike keeps his school notes and papers (surprisingly to Lucas and Dustin) organized to the point where he can carry comics in perfect condition before he gives them away
When it’s raining, Mike makes sure that raincoat hoods are being affixed if they keep flying down - he started doing this to everyone in The Party after doing it to Holly so much
Mike gets so angry if people talk shit about his friends. This is canon, but I like to imagine that it extends to their families, too. Like he’ll throw Hopper under the bus but he’s actually really adamant that he’s a good person. Same with Joyce. You will see him after class if you even make a “your mom” joke about her
Mike is first to point out if someone is hurt and figure out the who, what, when, where, and why it happened and make sure they’re safe (Will’s first to notice which then leads to Mike interrogating)

Goofy doodle of these two, Lucas is rocking the shiny buckle belt, bootcuts, and pointy boots. He is so roadhouse Southern (I think his dads a Texan biker lol). Also kinda a height-physique comparison chart too.
Oh yeah and a few scrappy designs of Fem!Todd
Still not sure what to do with her hair but I wanna give her a sporty type of style.
Its a crime no one thought of drawing SPVTW characters in Total Drama artstyle (both being Canadian cartoon/media too). Total Drama in the style of SPVTW fanart doesnt count here😭 Like ya'll missing out on Scott Pilgrim characters in a survivalist reality show AU

With long white hair, heavy brows, and a chest-length beard that begins halfway up his lightly melanated cheeks, [Samuel] Delany has the appearance of an Eastern Orthodox monk who left his cloister for a biker gang. Three surgical-steel rings hang from the cartilage of his left ear; on his left shoulder is a tattoo of a dragon entwined around a skull . . . The room, which does triple duty as foyer, dining area, and library-office, had the unmistakable clutter of a place devoted to writing. Stacks of books littered every surface; one, the height of a small child, leaned perilously in a chair near narrow windows, which let in a stingy helping of winter sun.
The only indication that I wasn’t in the lair of some industrious graduate student was the prizes crowning the bookshelves: a Lambda, the Nicolás Guillén Award for Philosophical Literature, the Anisfield-Wolf Lifetime Achievement Award. Opposite stood Delany’s literary battle station, a desktop computer with a rainbow-backlit keyboard. Within easy reach were a book scanner, a back scratcher shaped like a bear claw, a biography of Flaubert, and a robust collection of gay fetish porn on DVD.

someone going christmas shopping on black friday, but getting sick while going shopping but they cant leave bc the deals are too good 🥴 so they suffer through their illness to get deals on christmas presents
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Lucas asked, without looking up from his laptop, squinting at the screen. Bella rolled her eyes, zipping up her top and crawling on the bed, so she could plant a kiss on lips, startling him.
"I'm a grown woman," she whispered, wiping the red lipstick mark from his lips, "I can handle going to the mall by myself."
"You had brain surgery-"
"Twenty days ago," Bella scoffed, pulling back, "stop babying me and finish your thesis."
"Uhm," Luke huffed, rubbing a hand over his face, "bring me a milkshake from McDonald's?"
"Sure," she turned around, jumping from the bed and grabbing a coat and a scarf in their wardrobe, "finish your thesis and I'll bring you a happy meal."
Lucas rolled his eyes, but opened an amused smile, "promise me you'll call if anything anything happens," he said, measuring her up, "really, babe, I think you should just wait and then we can go-"
"That thesis will not write itself," Bella walked to the door, grabbing her purse hanging on the doorknob of the bedroom, "stop worrying about me and worry about finishing your degree, Atwood."
"Call me if anything happens!" Lucas called after her, as Bella walked out of their room. Their house was so tiny she could still hear him clearly from the living room as he said, in a normal tone, "and I want a strawberry milkshake! And text me about the happy meal toy, don't pick for me!"
"I'm gonna use your car!" Bella yelled back instead, digging through his backpack for the key and she could almost picture him shrugging, "what do you want for Christmas again?"
"You're ruining the surprise!"
She bit down a smile, stepping out of the house while yelling back, "You're getting coal!"
At twenty of November, their tiny town was freezing. They had already had their first snow, although right now it wasn't snowing, just windy and the roads slippery. Lucas had put on the snow chains on both their wheels, the worrywart that he was.
Bella rubbed her hands together, climbing inside Luke's truck and fiddling with his mirror and seat. It was weird to be out of the house by herself after so long. She understood completely Lucas worry, after everything that had happened.
Her memory of the first ten days since leaving the hospital was splotchy at best. There were sequence of events she remembered vividly, then there were entire days missing, that Luke sometimes referenced and got a blank stare in response.
She had spent so much time sleeping, her skin had never been as refreshened. Bella felt like she had enough energy now to stay out partying for three days in a row, so the mall should be easy enough to handle.
Besides, it was Black Friday. Well, Black Monday, but whatever, most mall stores took "Black Friday" as meaning the whole week, sometimes the last two weeks of November even. Bella wanted to catch the good deals, she had so many Christmas gifts to pursue, her list was long and worryingly expensive since Jonah and Wendy were in it.
Why couldn't everyone be a Vince?
Snorting at the thought, Bella put the car on reverse to get out of their driveway and started the shopping trip.
There was only one mall in town, so of course it was packed full of people. Ideally Bella would've driven to the next metropole, where she could get better malls, with better stores and she was pretty sure she was not going to find anything for Jonah in this mall, but for today it'd do.
Her list of people was terribly long, so Bell opted for starting with the easy ones. Vince was getting a new biker jacket, since he had ripped his favorite one to pieces during his accident and hadn't replaced it yet. Bella didn't trust Wendy on getting him something that was as rock n' roll as he'd like, so she knew it was a gift she could ace easily.
Leo was getting a coffee machine, which Bell knew was something he'd give her grief for overspending, but she fully planned on telling him it was a gift from her and her mother.
Something she hadn't accounted for was carrying the packages herself. Bella mentally cursed herself on not taking Luke's offer to go shopping together and switched the two big boxes around in her arms, before deciding the only course of action was to go back to the parking lot and getting them in the trunk of the car and then go back to shopping.
It was a detour she hadn't planned and it killed her momentum instantly, causing Bell to pout as she felt the exhaustion she had become very familiar with hit her like a wall of bricks.
She sat back down on the driver's seat, the door still wide open, trying to catch her breath. This was so annoying. She had been up for what? Ten hours? Only four of those really doing anything and yet Bella felt every bit like she could just curl up in the backseat and sleep until morning.
"Fuck," she rubbed her arms, clenching and unclenching her hands, trying to force her energy back up. Luke had texted her already, a well meaning "everything ok?" but that only made her more pissed off.
Bella jumped from the car, slamming the door shut. She was not leaving until she had finished her list.
She was onto the harder people and Bella grind her teeth as she felt a headache bloom behind her right eye as she looked around some fancy store in search of Wendy's gift.
Some poor attendant tried to help her, but Bella had only stared at the girl, unable to string together that not only she didn't need help, she really couldn't deal with someone else right now.
Wendy's gift ended up being a bust, so she dejectedly left the store, heading to a Bath&Body store to get something for Vince's mom and her own mother.
Bella was waiting at the huge cashier line when she felt a tickling at her nose, the pressure behind her eyes increasing exponentially. She groaned, cradling her head and planting the basket at her feet, waiting for the feeling to pass.
It didn't pass, not even after someone touched her gently in the back and told her she was next in line, not even once Bella was out of the store and sitting by the fountain, cradling her head in her hands and staring at her combat boots.
She was struggling to make up which way was up or down with how fuzzy everything felt and the pressure in her sinus told Bella she had only a handful of minutes before her nose started gushing blood.
Luke was the first one on speed dial, so she clumsily pressed around her phone, holding it to her ear and feeling a sharp sting not only to her eyes, but to her pride. She knew he wouldn't say I-told-you-so, not when she was feeling so bad, but he'd certainly act it. Being twice as concerned, when all she wanted was her life back.
"Bell?" Lucas answered, already sounding worried, "what's up?"
"Lu..." She cursed herself for sounding so whiny, taking slow breaths to try and collect her thoughts, "can you come get me?"
There was a gasp, then moving around, "yeah baby, where are you?"
"The mall... Third floor, near the fo- fuck - near the fountain" She sniffled, touching her nose just as a she felt liquid starting to drip. Her fingers came back red.
"What's wrong?" Luke asked anxiously and she could clearly hear him opening the door, the wind howling behind him, "Bella?"
"My head hurts, my nose is bleeding, I don't- I don't know what to do..." She felt incredibly useless.
"Alright, stay where you are, okay? I'll be there in five," Luke promised and she heard more shuffling around, before he mumbled a quick, "see you soon, love you." And hung up.
She let her head hang, squeezing her nose with clumsy fingers. Bella was vaguely aware she should move to a bathroom and get the mess contained, before she looked like a glutton vampire, but she couldn't bring herself to get up. All the energy she had mustered up to finish shopping was quickly vanishing and colorful dots were dancing before her vision, an annoying hum in her ears.
"Hey, hey, hey-" Lucas' hand cupped her face and Bella blinked, unsure if she had blacked out or just spaced out. Both options were equally mortifying, "Bell? Can you hear me?"
For all his panic, Bella had to give him credit for not immediately dragging her to a hospital like she knew he wanted to. She nodded, forcing her eyes to stay open, "...msorry, I just... My head..."
"It's okay, it's alright," his fingers, the ones near her nose and mouth, were sticking to her skin. It was not okay. Her eyes teared up and Bella let out a little whimper, grabbing his wrist.
"Luke... I'm br-broken..."
"Don't say that," he glared at her, shaking her slightly, "you're just stubborn, you're still healing."
"No, I'm broken f-forever..." now big, fat tears started to stream down her face and Bella lowered her forehead to his shoulder, muffling a sob against his coat. Lucas let out an unhappy noise.
"You're not broken, baby," he cooed, kissing the side of her head, right where she knew the doctors had opened a fucking hole in her head, "you just need to give yourself some time, Bell..."
She shook her head, still deep in denial, and let out a sob, only for the sob to bring up her stomach's content with it. Bella pulled back, slamming a hand to her lips and Lucas was well versed now after almost a month of the recovery period and the many times this had happened.
He widened his eyes, chanting, "wait just a sec, just a sec, baby-" as he emptied out the Bath&Body Works checkered bag and pushed in front of her mouth just in time.
Bella let out a groan, once again leaning forward so her forehead to was touching his shoulder, bringing up a watery mouthful of vomit, before continuing to gag a couple more chunks. She felt her nose sting and let out a groan, forcing up a burp that squished down the sudden nausea.
"...Fuck," she groaned, closing her eyes and almost dropping the bag as her arms gave up on holding it. Lucas grabbed the straps just in time, squashing it shut in one of his hands, the other one cupping her chin and forcing her eyes to meet his.
"Better?"
"I'm so tired of this," she groaned in response and he opened a small smile, not quite amused, but relieved, running his thumb over her bottom lip and wiping away the droll clinging to it. Bell wrinkled her nose, "gross."
"You're not gross," he rolled his eyes, planting a kiss over her brow, "wait here, I'm gonna get you something to clean up with."
Before she could say anything, Lucas had gotten up and disappeared further into the mall, taking the puke bag with him. Bella sighed, leaning forward, elbows on her knees and cradling her head in her hands, taking deep breaths to collect her emotions.
He skipped back, falling to his knees before her in a manner that made Bell cringe, "you're gonna bust your knee doing that," she scoffed, as Luke wet the million paper napkins he had gotten from the food court in the fountain and wiped the dried blood away from her nose, lip, chin and hands.
"If football didn't burst my knee, it's not running in a mall that will do it, Bell," he rolled his eyes, wiping away the black tear tracks on her cheek, "there we go. Better?"
"Better," she made a face as he wiped at her neck, cleaning the dried blood, "I must look scary."
"You always look scary, baby," Lucas teased her, planting a kiss on the tip of her nose, "what happened?"
"My swiss cheese of a brain was stupid," Bella said bitterly, causing him to snort and wait until she elaborated, "I started to get super tired, then a headache, then the blood... That's about it."
"Like an absence seizure?" he asked and Bella rolled her eyes. In the spam of twenty days, her husband had learned everything and anything about seizures and other brain related maladies that could be a side effect of the surgery.
"No, not like that," she let out a sigh and then glared down, "now I need a new bag for my gifts."
Luke let out a surprised chuckle, glancing down, "who's that for?" he picked up the candles and lotions he had unceremoniously thrown to the ground when grabbing the bag for her vomit in.
"For you, of course," Bella grinned, causing him to scoff, picking the items up.
"I'd love anything you pick, but please don't pick this," he said, squinting at the labels, "Wendy?"
"Wendy would kill me if I gave her Bath&Body stuff," Bella leaned her head against his bicep, clearing her throat from the acidic taste, "it's for Ma and my mom."
"Ma... Vin's mom?"
"Yeah," she slumped against him, "can we go home?"
"Of course," Lucas held all the items in his hands, while Bella hugged his arm, using him as support to pull herself up.
"I forgot your milkshake..."
He let out a snort, kissing her temple, "that's fine, we can get one in the stand downstairs."

Eddie knew you were going to be here, he knew he was going to have to see you smiling and hear your laugh from across the room and he prepared himself for that. What he didn’t prepare himself for was seeing a ring on your left hand, a solid gold slap in the face that let him know you moved on. He first saw a glimpse of it from across the room when you gave Steve a hug, he thought maybe he was just seeing things and that his mind was playing a cruel trick on him but then he saw him. A tall man who looked like he just walked out of a biker bar with his leather vest covered in patches and long blonde hair styled in a low ponytail, sling his arm over your shoulder as he went to shake Steve’s hand.
“Are you going to stare at her all night or go say hello?” Robin asks as she nudges Eddie in the side before taking a sip of her drink.
“Do you know him?” Robin rolls her eyes at how easily Eddie avoids her question. He turns his head so he can look at her, even after years of friendship Robin still always seems to surprise him with her bluntness.
“Who? Charlie?” Eddie just nods, making a mental note of the man’s name. “Yeah he’s cool. Rides a motorcycle. He’s actually really nice.” Robin answers as Eddie turns and looks over at you again. You’re laughing at something Steve said and Charlie was just looking down at you with a smile on his face, similar to the way Eddie used to watch you laugh, he’s always thought you had the best laugh. “He reminds me of you actually.” Robin states with a shrug, as if it’s the most causal thing in the world to say to him.
“What?” Robin ignores the shock in his voice and just glances over at Charlie who was now telling Steve and Nancy a story while you rested your hand on his chest.
“You can’t look at him and not see some of yourself. The vest? The long hair? Don’t get me started on his musical preferences.” Eddie rolls his eyes as he absentmindedly fiddles with the ring on his index finger. “She has a type I’ll give her that. But really just go say hi and stop being fucking weird.” With that Robin gives Eddie’s back a pat before she walks off to go join Max and Lucas who were in the middle of an argument with Dustin.
As he watches Robin walk away Eddie can’t help but think back to the last time he was standing in the middle of Steve’s living room. He feels his heart drop as the memory floods his mind just as your eyes drift over to him from across the room.
“What do you mean it’s over?” Steve’s eyes are the size of golf balls as Eddie paces his living room. “I just saw you two last night and you looked all gross and in love and shit.” He adds as Eddie runs his hands through his hair and lets out a groan.
“Because I’m a fucking idiot.” Eddie stops pacing and runs a hand down his face as Steve stands in front of him with his hands on his hips waiting for him to explain what’s going on. “I said…I said some shit man and there’s no going back from it.” Steve’s face drops as he watches Eddie’s eyes get glossy. While him and the metal head have been friends for a while he’s never seen this side of Eddie, usually Dustin was the one he went to when he was hurting.
“I mean was it just a fight? Just say sorry and move on.” This was Steve’s go to solution for any argument and Eddie just rolls his eyes at the suggestion. “I can’t help you if you don’t tell me what you said.” Eddie let out sigh as he looked up at Steve’s ceiling.
“I told her,” Steve watches as Eddie takes a deep breath and slowly lets it out trying to control his emotions so he can tell him exactly what happened. “I told her this is pointless. That there’s no happily ever after for us so it’s best if we just end it now to save us the time and heartache of waiting to do it later and then…I left. I left her standing there on her front steps…shouting for me and I didn’t…I didn’t turn around I just left.” Eddie feels his eyes start to sting as he looks at Steve who looks as if he just got punched in the gut the way his mouth is hanging open and his eyes are wide.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” His voice is harsh as he quickly breaks out of his state of shock to give Eddie a piece of his mind. Eddie just shrugs as he wipes at his eyes trying his best to hide the few tears that slipped out. “You told me you wanted to marry her.” Steve snaps as he runs a hand through his hair as he begins pacing trying his best to think of a possible solution but knowing deep down there probably wasn’t one.
“Oh come on Harrington. We graduate in a few weeks and she’s going to college and I’ll be lucky if I just get a decent job. What the fuck do I have to offer?” Steve rolls his eyes as Eddie explains himself because he knows this is what Eddie does, he pushes people away when he feels like they are getting too close.
“That’s bullshit and you know it.” Eddie looks down at his feet as Steve stops pacing. “You’re scared.” Eddie’s eyes shoot up to find Steve glaring at him. “I know you won’t admit it so I’ll do it for you. You’re terrified of how much you love her so instead of just allowing it to happen and letting her love you, in true Munson style you go and fuck it up on purpose.” Eddie swallows the lump in his throat as Steve lets him have it, his tone is harsh and Eddie just takes it because you are Steve’s best friend, that’s how he met you after all.
“She deserves better than me.” Eddie mumbles as Steve just stands there and watches Eddie fall apart in the middle of his living room. “So much better than me.” Steve just lets out a sigh as he closes the distance between the two of them so he can wrap his arms around Eddie bringing him in for a hug.
“Maybe she does.” Steve answers as he gives Eddie’s back a little pat as he hears him sniffle. “Maybe you’re right and this is for the best.” He adds as he pulls away from Eddie who is wiping his eyes with the back of his jacket sleeve.
“Did you just tell me I’m right?” Steve rolls his eyes as a chuckle escapes his lips, of course Eddie would try to joke in the middle of his breakdown. “Thanks Steve.” Eddie looks at Steve who just shrugs and gives him a reassuring smile.
“Its weird being back here isn’t it?” Eddie feels his cheeks get hot as your voice pulls him from his thoughts, he didn’t even notice you walk over to him from across the room.
“A little.” He answers as he takes the time to look at you. Your hair is a little longer and he can see your sense of style hasn’t changed as you stand there in a pair of jeans and a simple band t shirt but most importantly your smile is just as beautiful as he remembers.
“Harrington has always loved a house party.” You joke making Eddie chuckle as he brings his cup up to his lips to take a sip. “So how have you been?” You look at him and smile as you realize nothing about him has changed minus the tiny bit of facial hair and some of his rings have been replaced with newer looking ones, other than that he still looked like the long haired metal head you knew and loved in high school.
“I’ve been good.” You watch his eyes dart around the room almost like he was avoiding looking you in your eyes. “Opened my own shop, Wayne is retired now.” You smile at the mention of Wayne, he was always so nice to you back then. “Uh how about you?” Eddie asks as he finally looks you in the eyes and he feels like his heart might burst at how warm and inviting they are, another thing about you that hasn’t changed. Just as you open your mouth to respond you feel a hand on your lower back and you turn to look over your shoulder.
“Sorry took me so long I got stopped by uh I think his name is Dustin?” You smile as Charlie hands you a bottle of water. “He asked me if I could show him how to ride one day.” Eddie and you laugh as you shake your head no making Charlie raise an eyebrow.
“Absolutely not.” You and Eddie say at the same time making Eddie’s cheek flush as you laugh.
“Henderson on a motorcycle is a horrible idea he is clumsy and doesn’t pay attention to where he’s walking half the time so yeah, not putting him on a bike.” You explain making Charlie just nod his head as he looks over at Eddie who is taking a sip of his drink. “Oh I’m sorry. Charlie this is Eddie Munson.” You smile at Eddie as Charlie reaches a hand out towards him.
“Nice to meet you. Heard a lot about you.” Eddie feels his face drop as he sees a matching gold band on Charlie’s ring finger as his left hand comes up to rest on top of your shoulder giving it a little squeeze.
“All good I hope?” Eddie asks making Charlie just chuckle and nod as you smile up at him. “So uh how did you two meet?” He doesn’t know why but he can’t stop himself from asking.
“He came into the coffee shop I was working at while in school one day and then showed up everyday for like three weeks until he finally got brave enough to ask for my number.” Eddie watches your face light up as you tell the story, Charlie shrugs as you give his chest a playful pat with your free hand.
“She’s intimidating.” Charlie jokes and Eddie just nods because he’s not wrong, you may look sweet and polite but you also give off a very distinct vibe that you’re not to be messed with.
“Oh totally.” Eddie agrees making you roll your eyes at both of them.
“Says the ones who look like they belong on the cover of Metal Hammer magazine.” You motion between the two of them and Eddie looks down at his outfit and then over to Charlie and he can’t help but feel as if Charlie is just the blonde biker version of himself.
“I’m flattered.” Eddie teases as he places a hand on his chest. You laugh as Charlie leans down and places a kiss to the top of your head making Eddie look away as if he was intruding on a private moment.
“Do you mind going to get my cardigan from the car?” You ask as you look up at Charlie, he looks from you over to Eddie and gives you a little nod before placing a kiss to your cheek. “Thank you.” You say over your shoulder as Charlie makes his way through Steve’s crowded living room.
“You look happy.” Eddie’s voice is soft and low as he swirls his drink around in his cup, you bite your bottom lip as you nod your head.
“I am,” Eddie just rubs his lips together as you take a small step closer to him. “I’m sorry if this is weird for you I didn’t…I didn’t know you’d be here.” You admit as you reach up and place a hand on his arm, Eddie looks down at your hand and feels his heart crumble as he realizes you only came to this little reunion party because you thought he wasn’t going to.
“Don’t apologize.” You look up at him as you remove your hand from his arm. “I’m the one who owes you an apology. I was…such a fucking idiot. I blew it and I’m sorry.” His words hit you like a ton of bricks as he looks you in the eyes.
“Eddie…” He just shakes his head as he polishes off his drink.
“Don’t.” He gives you a pleading look making your heart drop. “It’s okay. I know you’re happier now and that’s all I’ve ever wanted for you.” You watch him swallow hard as he gives you a small smile. “I just want you to be happy.” You watch his eyes fall down to the ring on your left hand. You don’t miss the way his jaw slightly clenches as he stares at it, you can’t help but feel overwhelmed as Eddie’s words sink in, finally giving you the apology you longed for all those years ago when he broke your heart.
“I uh,” You feel your eyes start to sting as Eddie lets out a sigh and runs his free hand through his hair. “I’m going to go see if Nancy needs help with anything. It was nice seeing you Eddie.” Before he can say anything you turn around and he’s left standing there watching you disappear into Steve’s kitchen.
“Fuck.” Eddie mumbles as he turns to toss his empty cup into the trash. He isn’t alone more than a minute before he feels a hand on his back.
“I should’ve warned you.” Steve’s voice is soothing as he gives Eddie’s back a soft pat. “I honestly didn’t think you’d show up so I figured it would be fine.” He adds as Eddie turns so he can face him.
“It’s fine. It seems no one thought I’d show up.” Steve just shrugs, Eddie has been invited to numerous events and parties over the years and Steve can count on one hand how many he actually attended.
“So…you met Charlie.” Eddie just nods and Steve can’t help but feel bad, he knows even after all this time Eddie’s never fully moved on from you. “He’s a good guy.” Steve knows it’s not what he wants to hear but he also knows it’s what Eddie needs to hear.
“I should’ve tried to get her back.” Steve sighs as Eddie looks over his shoulder so he can see into the kitchen where he spots you laughing as you help Nancy make drinks while Charlie stands off to the side talking to Mike, your cardigan tossed over his shoulder.
“Well you didn’t.” Steve knows he’s being harsh but he knows someone has to say it. “You didn’t fight to get her back so she moved on. Now it’s your turn okay? You’ve got to let her go man.” Eddie feels Steve’s hand on his shoulder giving it a hard squeeze.
“Yeah…you’re right.” Eddie just gives him a soft nod. “I’ve got to let her go.” Steve watches him slowly look away from you.
“Did you just agree that I’m right?” Eddie rolls his eyes as Steve smiles at him, Eddie won’t ever admit it but he’s always been grateful for how easy and comfortable Steve makes it to move on from serious conversations.
“Don’t tell anyone.” Eddie tries his best to sound threatening but it doesn’t work due to the smile on his face as he says it.
“Oh I’m telling everyone.” Steve jokes as he turns and heads off towards Dustin. “Henderson you’ll never believe what Munson just said.” Eddie quickly follows behind Steve before Dustin can even react to what’s happening.
“Don’t believe him Henderson he’s been inhaling too many Farrah Fawcett fumes.” Steve rolls his eyes as Dustin raises an eyebrow at the two of them. Steve watches as Eddie visibly relaxes as he’s surrounded by his old Hellfire crew. Eddie spends most of the evening on the couch with Dustin, Lucas and Will getting bombarded with questions about what he’s been up to while also getting the inside scoop on what they’ve been getting into in their lives as well.
He doesn’t look for you until he hears your voice announcing to Steve that you’re leaving. He stands up from the couch just in time to see Charlie helping you slide your arms into your cardigan before you lean in and give Steve a hug goodbye, your eyes finding Eddie’s over his shoulder when you pull away. Eddie just raises his hand in a small wave as you offer him a smile, he knows this probably the last time he’s going to see you so he takes a mental picture of how good you look with a smile on your face, wanting it to replace the memory of the last time he saw you with tears running down your cheeks and the look of heartbreak on your face. He watches you turn and grab Charlie’s hand as he leads you out Steve’s front door, he watches as you don’t look back at him like he thought you might. When the front door closes it hits Eddie that you’re really gone, not just from the party but from his life as well and for the first time in what feels like forever Eddie feels okay, you’re happy and that’s all he’s ever wanted for you.
