We finally did it! I’ve been wanting to try bikejoring with Fish for so long and we actually did it last weekend! He did so well for his first go too, no crashes or falls lol

Can’t wait to try some more with this goober

It’s hot so we’ve been doing our scooter runs in the morning. Today I took her to a park we haven’t been to since we moved. She happily ran around the paved track for 30 minutes. I switched the scooter out for a longline and did another 30 minutes as a decompression walk. A bully mix almost made it over the short chainlink fence to get at us (they had two legs over and luckily their back foot slipped) but Mandana handled it well and we otherwise had a nice time.

I have been starting canicross and bikejoring with June and Rooney. It's been going really well! They are having lots of fun. We did 4.5 miles canicross today at about a 12 minute pace. I am very excited to have an activity that they enjoy and that will wear them out. However, I failed to consider that if they are going far enough to wear themselves out, I am also going far enough wear myself out. Also, fun fact: they are in better shape than me.

Mandana wanted something she didn’t have a button for so we went through our options and this is what she chose:

bored > play >> inside >>> treadmill >>>> scooter (which was inside next to the treadmill)

Her enthusiasm confirmed she wanted to go run with the scooter so we took it for a mile and she did so good. It’s a wooded neighborhood so there were squirrels every 10 feet and she REALLY wanted to chase them but she didn’t. She stayed with me the whole time and we had a lot of fun rolling around the neighborhood together.

Fitness week for everyone! Legend and I are getting closer and closer to the goal of being able to run a 5k without walking breaks. 2.74 miles at a sub 11 min pace right now in week 8 or 9ish of running.

Radar is being the experiment dog, testing biking with a dog setups. Right now just making short loops and getting used to it. He doesn’t seem inclined to run so I have to try to keep the bike balanced at stretchy corgi jog trot speeds 😂
