oh I was absolutely fine. I didn't even get a scratch in that incident but I had hurt my waist a bit, which troubled me for a month or so. but that was nothing serious.
I was riding a motorbike. here in my place you can book motorbikes and bikers like you book an uber (it's called bikecab service). The rider had hurt his hand but he, too, was mostly fine. there were traffic controllers who came to help instantly and we were taken care of. so nothing bad really happened.
HOWEVER, my phone - it's screen got damaged 😭. I didn't notice it first but when I did- I was like, oh lord why?????? Mind you I completely forgot that my waist was badly bruised. lmao.
and as you said, Jimin is really brave! I mean... me and my sister went for a speedboat ride deep in the ocean just few months back and None of us took our phones with us (which I lowkey regret because the view was just so freaking beautiful). The boat operators were shocked, they gave us weird looks when we told them we don't have our phones with us. But but but I wouldn't trade my phone with anything lol.
and JIMIN! He really did take the chance huh??? I mean I know you can buy ten different phones at the same time if you want but still? 😶
I’m glad you were fine, even though your waist got a bit hurt 😢
Okay, what? You have a bikecab service like Uber but with motorbikes?! 🤯 We don’t have that here, but that actually sounds really exciting! Uh, it’s good people helped you guys right away 🫂
RIP your phone 😭
Did you have a screen protector on it, so you could just replace it? Or was the screen so damaged you had to replace the screen completely or a new phone altogether? 😣
Omg that sounds so beautiful!!!! 🥹 But I completely get why you didn’t take your phone with you! I wouldn’t have either! Maybe if I had an old phone laying around (I actually do lol), but the images wouldn’t be good quality then, so I might not even bother. But that would definitely have been worth having some kind of camera/phone with you. Oh! Idea for next time— buy a disposable camera!
Then you won’t get sad if it ends up in the water!
HAHAHAH— yeah! And I bet they even have multiple phones! He could just buy a ‘meh’ phone for their trip just for photos and then keep his regular one safe. Why risk it? Even if he has money to buy ten different phones 🤣

Steve McCurry Research Paper
Katherine Cando
Professor Nicole Frocheur
Photography 101
23 November, 2019
                                             Mini Research Paper
Born February 24, 1950 in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania, Steve Mccurry would become a well known photographer after his most famous photo “Afghan Girl” made headlines. McCurry became interested in photography after working for the local penn state newspaper. After a series of freelance work in india, “he met a group of refugees from Afghanistan, who smuggled him across the border into their country, just as the Russian Invasion was closing the country to all western journalists.”(magnum). This is when he was able to create stunning photos that show war and how it affected those who lived there.
The bodies of work I wanted to concentrate on was “India” and “Japan”. The reason I chose these two was because they were completely different locations and made you feel different emotions when observing the pieces of work. In “Japan” the photographs display variations of life in Japan. Some photos are of traditional temples,Onsens, working class men, and even modern japan. Looking at this collection really gives me a sense of how the japanese live. There is a blend of traditional culture coexisting with modern culture that has technologically advanced so far. A perfect depiction of this crossover are the pictures of Geisha who dress very traditionally walking in the streets of modern Japan. What I also find intriguing is the many photos of the working class man usually commuting. The reason these pictures catch my eye is because of how they are shown. Japan is one of the most hardworking countries in the world, “Japanese companies require employees to work more than 80 hours of overtime a month”(Saiidi). Therefore the photographs of commuters, especially of the two men sleeping on the train really portray the working class. However, there are many photos of temple worshipers and statues. Spirituality is almost the opposite of the stress and work life that many japanese have to endure. There are beautiful landscape photos of Japan during its winter season, where people enjoy the onsens and take a break from the stress of life.
Contrary to “Japan”, “India” is different in the way the culture is presented. India is a densely populated country in which these photographs show the stories of everyone in them. A lot of the work revolves around Religion, work life and portraiture of children and animals. It also has photographs of areas where floods have taken place. One picture in particular has a man on bikecab with a woman in the backseat. Their expression is as if what they are experiencing is normal yet feel inconvenienced by the flood. There is also another photo of a man who seemingly recovered his sewing machine with a grin on his face, yet being neck deep in the flood water. The portraitures of children seem mostly serious. A lot look hopeless or angry and even tired. It is almost as if their childhoods are tainted by the poverty many live in. Aside from that, there seems to be a great respect for animal life as displayed by a picture of a boy holding on to a goat on their commute on the train. Besides all of the disaster shown in many of the pictures, there are many bright and beautiful artworks, festivities and religious ceremonies that portray its own picture of India being a united and hopeful place.
The objective of picking these particular pieces of work is to demonstrate how two vastly different countries can have similarities such as religion, work life and culture come together to create what each respective country is. Both have pictures of deities and worshipers, men working to make a living and simple interaction of how people live there. Nonetheless, many differences such as how technologically advanced Japan is compared to india, how poverty affects India and generally the difference in population. Most pictures of Japan give you a sense of serenity, while India is much more chaotic. Work life is very physical compared to japanese work life which is mostly office work. I enjoy very much how the photographer chose to display his work. These two pieces of work were shot with a “Nikon D810, using  24-70mm lens”(photocrowd). He used the color around him to make stunning photographs that lets you focus on the main subjects of each one. The use of lighting really makes most of the pictures he takes.
Steve McCurry is an iconic photographer that started by showing the world an existing part of what is war. He gradually grew to become someone who is able to tell a story with photographers of locations and people where others would not look to. “For those who were desperate, my camera became an object of hope (...)Throughout my year-long coverage of the monsoon world, my strongest conviction was that I was involved in the fundamentals of life.”(Steve McCurry)

Learn Why Tourists Are Asked To Spend For Pedicab Rides For Relief
By Margaret Thomas
Shortly, cycle rickshaws direct to small scale regional transportation channels. It has been named by various titles like cyclo, bike taxi, beca, trishaw, bikecab, velotaxi, becak, trisikad, and pedicab. Unlike rickshaws driven by foot, it was utilized thru pedaling. Its mechanical types are constructed to move commuters and are utilized in major places from Southeast, South, and East Asia. Initially, the first vehicle were created in the 1880s and used widely in Singapore amidst 1929. Subsequently, the pedicab San Francisco has dominated. Besides, an installation of passenger and driver seats differs wherein the driver is positioned in front of the passengers to drive the tricycle. On the other part, other layouts enable cyclist operators to stay behind riders. In roughly all Asian regions, passenger fields are being mounted behind operators, yet in Indonesia, Vietnam, and Malaysia, the driver stays behind their riders. From the Philippines, its passenger spaces are placed behind the operator. In major US cities, it is noticeable in attractions, sports stadiums, park lands, nightlife districts, and city centers. Various forms have been seen such as car park to event transportation mediums at large gatherings. But currently, it was found on streets of Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Nashville, New Orleans, Charleston, Seattle, Denver, Miami, San Francisco, Boston, San Diego, Manhattan, and Green Bay applied those trishaws as transportation mediums to reach tourist attractions. Apart from that, other places have the highest number of tricycles functioning within their restrictions. For instance, New York cited that closely near 850 trishaws are functioning within the state restrictions. It has been prominent in the US since the 1960s and providers including Charleston, Coaster, Only Coaster, Main Street, and Paradise bike taxis have started to surface. In Bangladesh, it is the popular transportation platforms and made available for hire throughout the entire region. It has been made in 1938, thus counting to 300,000+ cycle rickshaws amid these periods. On a daily period, about 400,000 tricycles are running. Amid most situations, it was more functional in comparison to other public transportation platforms such as auto rickshaws, buses, and cabs. It is produced and designed as convertible trishaws incorporated with folding hoods and the only kind running in the places with narrow lanes or streets which enable you to center on more important elements. But, rising accidents or traffic situations resulted in the exclusion of those vehicles in major streets, thus enterprises are interrupted for urban enlistment is based on those tricycles. Because of the rise of unemployment in rural areas, dwellers from villages relocate to the city to work as rickshaw drivers. Amidst the 1950s, when pulled vehicles were prohibited, large city passengers may travel while applying cycle rickshaws or three wheeled pedicabs. In relation with that, the Chinese word for the tricycle refers to sanlunche wherein it may be motor or pedal powered. In Shanghai, most of the vehicles are controlled by electrical channels. As travelers, you are warned to be attentive of an over charging chauffeur, certainly who utilize old outfits and found in tourist endpoints. While several local tourism agencies still provide authorizations for chauffeurs to help commuters, local officials established strict standards to minimize traffic situations and limit cheating of travelers.

If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life!
The last five years have been very turbulent for me in terms of job security. I have had three jobs in the past year and I'm currently unemployed. I have done everything from landscaping to retail and I have worked with many douche bags to say the least. I've scoured college websites looking for just the right career to pursue and always seem to find barriers or excuses for choosing a course. All this doubt and indecisiveness has left me searching for alternatives to post secondary education.
Last night as I lay in bed tossing and turning and pondering about life I came to the realization of a great business idea. Why not take my favorite past time of biking and use it to make money. There are many ways to earn a living in the bike industry but one idea that caught my attention and seemed more practical for me was operating a bike taxi service. It seems to be becoming more common in North American cities and I definitely think there is money to be made.
Bike taxis seem to be thriving in big cities like NYC and Austin, TX but how well would they do in smaller cities like London, ON with a population of only around 400,000? Since there are no bike taxi companies to compete with and due to the amount of events and festivals held here in London each summer my bets are fairly well. To be successful you would have to know exactly whats going on in your city and be in great physical shape of course.
Eventually you could even buy more bikes and hire more bike cabbies and when your too old to do it anymore you could sit back, relax and let the young guns make the money for you. Now that I have some career goals I now have to work some shit job to save up for a bike cab and business licence which will be around $2000-$5000. This is my calling I know it. I know what must be done now. Fuck the auto parasites and fuck conventional thinking. Heizenburg out.....
