Bihar Board BSEB Matric Result 2020 Likely to Delay Further due to COVID-19 Lockdown 2.0

The Bihar Board Matric Result 2020 declaration date is likely to get further delay due to the current circumstances of the country facing lockdown. Students who appeared for the Bihar Board Class 10th Exam 2020 are eagerly waiting for their result. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and countrywide lockdown, students have to further wait more days. The Bihar Board Class 12th Result has already been declared by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). 80.44% of students have been passed in Commerce, Science, Arts stream overall.

The BSEB Class 10th Result will be available on the official website of BSEB at biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in. Students will be able to download the result once it will be declared on the official website.

Earlier the Bihar Board informed that the evaluation process of answer sheet has been postponed due to the lockdown. This may also lead to the delay in result declaration. Students are advised to stay away from the rumours and keep an eye on the official website for further updates.

According to the media reports, if the government will not extend the lockdown period the result for class 10th examination will be announced by May end. The result will be available on the official website; - onlinebseb.in - biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in soon.

The exam for the Bihar Board was conducted successfully in the month of February 2020. Around 15 lakh candidates appeared for the exam for Class 10 at more than 1,300 centres across the state.

PATNA: Finally, the D-day has arrived. The fate of lakhs of studnets, who wrote their Class X papers from Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), would be decided on May 26.

State education minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma, additional chief secretary (education) RK Mahajan and Board chairman Anand Kishor will jointly release the results of matriculation at 12.30pm on Tuesday. However, there will be no press conference due to pandemic. Candidates, appeared in the examinations can check their results on www.onlinebseb.in and www.biharboardonline.com, which will be uploaded on these websites after the results, will be announced.

This year, the results got delayed due to nation-wide lockdown owing to Covid- 19 pandemic. The evaluation of answer copies were suspended from March 24 and it resumed from May 6. The evaluation of answer copies was completed on May 17 following which the Board conducted the physical verification of the toppers, which include IQ test.

The education minister told this newspaper on Monday that it was a big achievement for Bihar Board to announce the results in such a short span of time. “If the situation would be different, the results would be out by now. Still, we are ahead of other state boards and even national education boards,” Verma said.

He added: “The class X pass percentage and the scoring of toppers would more or less similar to previous year.”

Altogether 15,29,393 students including 7,83,034 girls wrote class X exam from February 17 to February 24 at 1,368 exam centres in Bihar. The top ten rank holders of each stream would get the scholarship under Desh Ratan Dr Rajendra Prasad Medha Chatravriti and would also get the cash prize and other incentives.

In 2019, the board announced the result on April 6 and recorded a pass percentage of 80.73% in class X.

Earlier on March 24, the BSEB had declared the intermediate results of all streams (science, commerce and arts) in a record time. The overall pass percentage has registered at 80.44%, number of students who cleared the class XII examination has slightly improved by 0.68% in comparison to last year’s 79.76%

Bihar STET cancelled; exam to be conducted again, says official - Times of India

Patna: Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Saturday cancelled the State Teachers Eligibility Test (STET) Paper I and Paper II held in January this year at 317 examination centres across Bihar. The decision was taken after the four member committee constituted by the Board submitted its report.

BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said the board would again conduct the STET exam for the candidates. The Board would also take action against the candidates who had created ruckus at five exam centres including Gaya, Gopalganj, Saharsa, Muzaffarpur and Patna. A proposal has been sent to education department for the re-examination. Kishor also confirmed that the students, who walked out from examination centres with question papers, must have circulated the question paper on social media. Around 2.47 lakh candidates appeared for the STET exam on January 28.
