Hands down, the best, most thorough critical evaluation of the Hunger Games chapter by chapter that just takes apart SC's world building, including the idea of starvation in Katniss's district, the Capitol's position in Panem and introduces some really interesting points regarding the view of women in the books and how the lottery system works, and that's only in the first chapter. Worth check out by far.

That’s weird because my friend just double checked her nook tablet this morning and with perfect viewer it reads comics. You just need to own them through viewer not file manager

Does your friend have a Nook tablet or a Nook HD or HD+? Because I think the update was only for HD/HD+ (And actually I tried looking up Perfect Viewer in my Nook's shop and nothing came up for it).

i actually really like the other way? with asami being the backing force for Mako’s campaign- he’s kind of bumbling to start. charming but he’s not quite as savvy as she is. that’s why she should be managing

i agree it could work just as well the other way because they both have extremely compelling life stories, but mako's life story comes with the shady crime aspect and there's no way his opponents would not use that against him, police officer or not. asami is a safer candidate with a spotless record, as we know her. but mako and asami's intelligence, savvy, and force of personality combined would make them politically unstoppable it wouldn't even really matter who the face of the campaign is

I know that. I can't speak for anon, but: Natasha and Clint haven't teamed up constantly since the Silver Age, and their original working partnership was desperately entwined with their romance. They went in very separate trajectories for quite a while and they hadn't been in the same Avengers line-up until the Remender run of Secret Avengers. (I'm ignoring the Crossing b/c everyone does.) That was also about when Clint started being a spy. Natasha's "work" is something that's divided the two of them as much as brought them together. The idea of the two them as working "spouses"/partners comes from Ultimates, and the "work wife" thing is a much better description of their MCU dynamic since in comics they've hardly had a steady working relationship.

None of that has to do with dating, except, well, the fact that Clint and Natasha's original 616 partnership was definitely not platonic. I can see how someone would look at their comic book history, look at the Avengers movie, and say, hmmmm. And that's what I assumed anon was asking about.
