What's your favorite natural environment?

ooh this is a fun question! I would have to go with big bodies of water. I’ve only been to the ocean once & it was lovely but I’ve been to the great lakes (I live in the US) a lot of times & I love them. something about big waves & beaches makes me happy ❤️ thank you for the ask!

Them missing each other in LA, Andrew finding any excuse he can to text Garrett, to call him, & Garrett being so relieved when Andrew does & whenever they stop talking & there's that silence & Andrew goes "well, I guess I should go" Garrett desperately bringing up a new subject so he won't hung up. Andrew literally falling asleep on FaceTime & Garrett being so soft, saying goodnight & hanging up feeling better knowing Andrew is still always there with him regardless of any physical distance. 💕

3. What is that one scene that you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all of the set-up and context it would need? (consider this permission to write it and/or share it anyway)

i think i’ve always for some reason avoided writing any scenarios where garrett introduces andrew to shane... something about it just seems like it would require too much build-up and “backstory.” i like writing gandrew as a pre-established friendship (post-introduction to shane), or exploring them in their very early stages. but maybe i will explicitly write andrew meeting shane someday!

17. Do you think readers perceive your work - or you - differently to you? What do you think would surprise your readers about your writing or your motivations?

oh, absolutely. a lot of people have told me they think my angst comes from my own inner “trauma,” turmoil, or negative experiences, but that’s not the case at all. each angsty piece that i write is more of an experiment, or an exploration of that sort of scenario, as opposed to being based off of my own emotions or mental state. i sort of do it to test my own ability as a storyteller - to see how far i can push characters, and my readers along with them.
