Maybe I'm not completely tired of mohair platinum blondes, if I can make them wear corsets. I'll never grow tired of corsets.

I'm gonna fistfight my brain
First it stops me from doing embroidery to the tune of "no do, just collect kits" because "you don't get a practical item in the end so it is pointless"
Then it starts whispering "but what if. One Of Those Dragons You Have. What If Cross Stitchery" while I'm already in a mental overload with projects
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I'm so over the place
But at least. I'm continuing with the back of the Tunisian crochet body. Soon I'll reach the same amount of rows on front and back and start doing them both at the same time, which is. Yes, unhinged, but saves me from constantly going back to the kitchen scale. Because they are both crocheted from the same cake
The sleeve is lying beside me for emotional support <3 it's now at almost 33/125 rows past the ribbing, and I'll switch to it again when my hands start dying from the Tunisian hook again. Or when I want to hold something soft and fluffy, as opposed to somehow constantly cold hook. I think that's a very reasonable strategy!!

Never buy artesan/indie yarn. You can never go back to the big commercial brands after.

Okay so far I'm feeling very positive about those new interchangeable needles!!
The tips are perfect for lace (long!!)
The swivel cords are so comfy like woah
And also even though I normally prefer shorties, these longe bois are going to be used quite a lot, I wager!
The only somewhat negative thing was that I got some grease on my fingers when first screwing the needles on the cord, and I'm not sure where it came from (the swivel mechanism, or the screwable base of the needle??), but also it came off really easily with water and soap
Anyways, I'm enjoying the process :3

Finally finished: field sweater!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm so happy this is done! This was my first time knitting a top-down sweater as well as using mohair. The top-down construction I'm a big fan of, the armholes and arm decreases look a lot neater. Not sure about the mohair yet, it is very nice and fluffy but I think the sweater would have also come out just as nice without it. I changed many parts of this pattern to make it fit better for me. The needle size, the body-to-arm stitch distribution, the neckline, the short rows, the sleeve decreases and pattern... but it was nice to add all these little tweaks to make it more for me!
After I did the yoke I started researching more about tension and decided to tighten my tension by quite a lot, which isn't great to do halfway throughout a project ':) the rest of the sweater came out a lot smaller compared to the yoke! But nothing some half-and-half blocking magic couldn't fix luckily :)
