during that Kaori and Gamma 2 were talking that’s when Kaori brought up about becoming a idol, while she explains what an idol is, she brought up that she was in choir but unfortunately had to leave (never said why but it was because of bullies-)

En football, le vert est-il la couleur du désespoir ?

En tant que couleur de maillot de football, le vert est plutôt rare. Du moins, plus rare que les couleurs primaires, et moins rare que les couleurs très distinctives que sont l'orange ou le violet. Rolland Courbis – qui trouve qu'elle avantage, comme camouflage, les équipes qui la portent – s'étonnerait peut-être de ce caractère marginal [1].

Un chiffre donne une idée de cette sous-représentation: alors que 47% des nations ont du vert dans leur drapeau, seulement 18% de celles-ci jouent dans la couleur (voir nos infographies). Elles représentent ainsi moins de 10% des 211 sélections affiliées à la FIFA.

De rares titres nationaux dans le big four

Dans la plupart des championnats européens, les maillots verts gardent un caractère minoritaire. En Italie, ils ne sont adoptés que par de très rares formations de l'élite, comme Sassuolo en Serie A – mais à égalité avec le noir. La Serie B en proposait à peine plus, la saison dernière, avec Avellino et Ternana (vert-noir), et quelques traces à Venise ou Cesena.

En Angleterre, où les trois clubs les plus titrés évoluent en rouge, aucune équipe verte n'a jamais remporté le titre national. Il faut piocher dans les souvenirs pour en extraire l'image du away de Liverpool à la chlorophylle, en 1992/93, ou de celui de Manchester United lors cette même saison inaugurale de la Premier League: vert et jaune (criards, à effet satiné) – allusion aux couleurs de Newton Heath abandonnées en 1902 quand le club prit son nom actuel [2].

En Espagne, seul le Real Betis Séville, avec ses rayures verticales vertes et blanches adoptées en 1913, figure dans la liste des clubs champions (une fois, en 1935). L'Athletic Bilbao enfile parfois du vert. Mais c'est seulement chez des seconds couteaux que le maillot principal en comporte, toujours associé au blanc: Elche, Cordoue, Santander.

Le choix est beaucoup plus fréquent en Allemagne: la Bundesliga compte dans ses rangs le Werder Brême, le VfL Wolfsbourg (vert et blanc) et le Borussia Mönchengladbach (qui joue plutôt en blanc mais s'identifie au vert) – trois clubs totalisant dix titres de champion national [3].

12 finales européennes perdues sur 17

Dix titres, c'est le record détenu en France par l'AS Saint-Étienne, à laquelle "les Verts" sont immédiatement associés. Même la Ville a adopté la couleur dans son identité visuelle. On ne pense ensuite qu'à Sedan et au Red Star parmi les clubs historiques – et encore l'ont-ils associé au rouge –, voire au FC Nantes, pour lequel il est une couleur secondaire (étonnamment utilisée en déplacement, cette saison, dans la même teinte foncée que l'ASSE depuis deux ans).

Ferencvaros, Rapid Vienne, Panathinaikos, Sporting: ailleurs aussi, les équipes vertes se reconnaissent, et donnent l'impression qu'il y en a une importante par championnat… mais rarement une équipe majeure. Ainsi en Turquie, Bursaspor – pour son unique titre en 2010 – est le seul club "vert" des cinq vainqueurs du championnat national depuis 1957. Quatre équipes de SuperLig portaient cette couleur en 2017/18, à parité avec une autre.

Toutefois, le club champion du football en vert est sans doute le Celtic Glasgow, avec ses 49 titres nationaux et, surtout, son statut de seul vainqueur vert de la C1, en 1967. Et pour le club qui porte le trèfle "irlandais" sur son blason, la couleur est de large portée symbolique – éclipsant même l'autre moitié des rayures (blanches).

On observe la même rareté au palmarès de la Coupe de l'UEFA (Ferencváros 1965, Borussia Mönchengladbach 1975 et 1979) et de la Coupe des coupes (Sporting Portugal 1964, Werder Brême 1992). Les verts ont perdu 12 finales européennes sur 17 [4]. 70% de défaites…

S'il faut chercher un contre-exemple consistant, il faut se tourner vers le Brésil et Palmeiras, neuf fois champion, ce qui en fait le plus titré des clubs nationaux… pour une seule Copa Libertadores, alors que le Sao Paulo FC et Santos, autres clubs paulistes, en comptent trois chacun. En Argentine, c'est encore le néant vert: dans l'ère professionnelle, on n'y a identifié que le méconnu Club Ferro Carril Oeste de Buenos Aires, deux fois champion (1982 et 1984), et l'Atlético Banfield, vainqueur du tournoi d'ouverture en 2009.

La couleur de la marge

Moins de 10% des 211 sélections affiliées à la FIFA portent des maillots verts. Aucune n'a remporté de Coupe du monde, même si le Brésil en teinte ses parements. En Europe, seules les Irlande l'ont élue. Le Portugal en a fait sa couleur "extérieure", comme, régulièrement, l'Allemagne depuis 1950 – mais la dernière fois que la Mannschaft la revêtit en Coupe du monde (avant la défaite contre la Corée cette année), ce fut lors de la demi-finale 1990 contre l'Angleterre.

Il faut aller en Afrique (Algérie, Cameroun, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Éthopie) ou en Amérique latine (Mexique, Bolivie) pour qu'elle acquière une représentation significative. Les "équipes vertes" sauvent ainsi l'honneur au palmarès de la CAN, avec les dix titres cumulés par le Cameroun, le Nigeria, l'Algérie et l'Éthopie.

On retrouve d'ailleurs une bonne part de nations africaines parmi celles qui ont adopté le short vert (Bulgarie, Lituanie, Afrique du Sud, Maroc, Burundi, Mauritanie, Zambie, Australie…). Côté deuxième maillot: Lituanie, Slovénie, Maroc, Côte d’Ivoire, Afrique du Sud, Sénégal, Bénin, Togo, Zambie, Irak, Arabie Saoudite…

Marginal, le port du vert présente l'avantage pour les équipes concernées d'être plus facilement identifiées. Mais la couleur conserve quelque chose d'une anomalie, à l'image du célèbre épisode de France-Hongrie lors de la Coupe du monde 1978: les Bleus, dépourvus d'une tenue de rechange, avaient dû emprunter les tuniques à rayures verticales vertes et blanches du Club Atlético Kimberley, une formation locale.

Cette marginalité a fait du vert un choix surtout prisé… par les arbitres et les gardiens de but. Comme si, décidément, le vert était à la fois une marque de singularité et une promesse d'occuper une position difficile sur les terrains de football. Terminons sur un rappel: le FC Sète, auteur en 1934 du premier doublé championnat-Coupe de France de l'histoire, évolue en vert et blanc.

Into the Unknown:A journey through Science Fiction

Après quelques années scolaires à Lomé au Togo où nous passions toutes nos vacances à la mer, à la piscine ou à lire à la maison, le retour dans une France fraiche et grise m’obligeait à me cocooner.Ma vraie découverte de la télévision fut donc en quelque sorte grâce à la pluie normande : appuyer sur un bouton et regarder des gens parler ou chanter comme Demis Roussosrelevaient à la fois de la magie et de l’extra-ordinaire. J’imaginais qu’un jour, je communiquerais avec les gens de la télé par ce même écran… On me disait folle, je répondais, du haut de mes 10 ans, par un haussement d’épaules et un regard de dédain sur ces terriens cartésiens.Avant que ce phénomène cosmique de la communication ne se produise, j’attendais le samedi et l’heure de la sieste avec impatience pour être seule avec les frères Bogdanoff et leur émission Temps X. Ma connexion avec Igor & Grichka était d’autant plus spéciale qu’elle me ramenait à un soir de nuit très noire où nous avions accompagné le père chercher la valise diplomatique dans une annexe de l’aéroport de Lomé. Deux « avions » clignotant et faisant du sur-place avaient attiré mon attention. Au lieu de me taire et de regarder ailleurs, je désobéissais et fus ensuite interdite de valise pour le reste du séjour. Y-a-t-il un centre d’art à Londres qui soit plus dystopien et retro-futuriste que le Barbican ? C’est précisément dans ce contexte et complexe ‘d’aéroport’ au style brutaliste que l’exposition Into the Unknown : A Journey through Science-Fiction se dévoile du 3 juin au 1er septembre 2017. Même si le terme ‘science fiction’ (SF) est apparu pour la première fois en 1926, le genre, lui, précède la terminologie avec des auteurs tels que H.G. Wells, Edgar Allan Poe ou encore Jules Verne. Ce genre flouté qui permet de comprendre le monde entre le fantastique, la mythologie, l’histoire, l’utopie et le voyage a probablement ses racines au Moyen Orient au travers du satiriste Assyrien Lucian ou encore des contes des 1001 Nuits. Comme une valse à quatre temps Into the Unknown explore cette épopée de la culture populaire au travers de la littérature, de l’art contemporain, du film, de la musique, de la BD et des jeux vidéos. Un petit rappel SF via les pochettes de disques ou une série de clips videos (Special K pour Placebo ; All is Full of Love pour Björk etc.) aurait été un must.La galerie Curve nous emmène tout de même dans les méandres de terres inconnues, de mondes glauques et autres univers virtuels en quatre chapitres : Les Voyages Extraordinaires ; Odyssée de l’Espace ; la Défiance des Nouveaux Mondes ; les Limites Finales… Parmi les trésors de cette caverne scientifique d’Ali Baba… des plaques de verre pour lanterne magique où se dessinent quelques scènes d’Autour du Monde en 80 Jours de Jules Verne ; des peintures de James Gurney telles que Dinosaur Parade (1989) ; des vitrines de livres de tous horizons terrestres, souvent dans leurs éditions originales, avec en prime le manuscrit Journey Beyond the Stars aka 2001 a Space Odyssey de Stanley Kubrick ; une collection de publicité industrielle aérospatiale (1957-1960) ; des storyboards de films comme Dune (1984) ou Star Wars (1977) entre autres ; des maquettes comme le capitol dome et la soucoupe volante du film Earth vs the Flying Saucers (1956) ; des casques et des masques : Darth Vader from Star Wars : L’Empire contre-attaque (1980) – masques d’Alien de La Rencontre du troisièmes type – le masque d’Anubis pour Stargate(1994) ; les illustrations du film non réalisé pour Dune de Alejandro Jodorowsky – film culte aujourd’hui considéré comme le plus grand film SF jamais réalisé dans les 70’s… et dont on peut apprécier la Capo Chair (1970’s) conceptualisée par H.R. Giger. La chaise ne sera pas utilisée pour Dune de David Lynch (1984), mais par Ridley Scott pour Alien (1979) ; les cartes de collections de Mars Attack (1964) – En 1962, alors que la Guerre Froide battait son plein de parano, un jeu de 55 cartes iconiques dessinées par Norman Saunders pour les enfants se vendaient dans les magasins. Il s’agissait d’invasion martienne illustrée de façon gore avec des chiens aux crocs menaçants… La révolte parentale fera interdire la vente de ces cartes ; une miniature de la planète Altamid de Star Trek Beyond (2016) ; des œuvres d’art visuel : Alex Schomburg (1957), Chris Foss (1980), Fred Freeman (1952), Vigil Finlay (1956), Franck R. Paul (20’s). Avec l’arrivée de la littérature de gare (pulp fiction), l’iconographie SF de la première moitié du XX siècle a sérieusement influencée l’esthétique du cinéma. Plus tard, la SF s’est réinventée avec un style graphique plus sophistiqué : H.R Giger (un mythe du graphisme et de la déco de film) et Chris Foss. Aujourd’hui, l’ordinateur a révolutionné le genre avec des créations digitales qui permettent à Doug Chiang ou encore Christian Scheurer de raffiner leurs scènes pour le cinéma, les jeux videos ou les livres ; des costumes de films : Spock (Leonard Nimoy) pour Star Trek : The Motion Picture (1979),Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) pour Moon (2009), Interstellar (2014) ; des cartes postales russes Moscou au XXIII siècle (1914) ; des cartes publicitaires sur les paquets de cigarettes (1936). Les agences du pub se servaient de l’iconographie du ‘monde de demain’ sur le whiskey, les cigarettes ou autres articles pour faire vendre ce qu’il y avait ‘d’indispensable’ dans un but purement capitaliste… des videos d’art comme celle de Pierre-Jean Giloux intitulée Invisible Cities #1 #Metabolism (2015) des accessoires de films tel eXistenz (1999) ; six livres de SF avec des annotations de Jorge Luis Borges dont l’un est le titre de cette exposition. Jusqu’en septembre, le Barbican nous propose de (re)découvrir la SF dans tout son centre culturel.Into the Unknown : A Journey through Science-Fiction nous permet de passer de 20 000 lieues sous les mers à Big Brother, du rêve à la peur…Et même si la SF du passé nous prédisait qu’aujourd’hui nous vivrions sous l’eau ou voyagerions dans des voitures volantes, l’exposition est sans doute une bonne occasion de penser à notre environnement dans toutes ces optiques et toutes ces options parce que comme le signifiait Alexander McQueen en 2010 lors de son dernier défilé L’Atlantis de Platon « McQueen merged Darwin’s nineteenth-century theories of evolution with twenty-first-century concerns over global warming. Plato’s Atlantis – a reference to the legendary island described by the Greek philosopher, which sank into the sea – prophesied a future world in which ice caps would melt, seas would rise, and humanity would need to evolve in order to survive. » Elle dure 11 minutes, mais la proposition vidéo quasi aquatique de Pierre-Jean Giloux avec Invisible Cities #1 #Metabolism (2015) est totalement bluffante.
