What is often ignored is that there are multiple Addisons of each color at the trash zone talking about Spamton and formerly being his friend. They speak as a general unit leaving some things up to interpretation but it implies Addisons as a species are especially tight knit and social with each other. I mean, a good amount showed up to pay respects.

All of this is to say I like to think that this is reason he got kinda nutty while living in the street. Like Addisons being social specifically with each other and Spamton not being able to be apart of that culture cause the ones he was close to left him and him gaining a bad rap with the others due to competition. Suddenly having that then losing it meant that he didn’t have that comfort during a series of big transitional periods: no one to drop the mask with as a big shot, not one to break his fall or understand how he communicated. I feel it made his mind even easier to fully break when it came down to it.
