The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova has been my recent book obsession. Is it the history or Dracula? We'll never truly know.

But seriously, this book has some amazing commentary on history and being a historian. It's phenomenal and I highly recommend it. And yes, I highlight my favorite lines - guilty pleasure.

Decided that this Sunday I’d join in with @bibliophilicwitch’s tomes and tea.

So I’m offering up some green tea in my “Queen of Books” mug and Heidi Fried’s “Questions I am asked about the Holocaust” (it felt appropriate to read this today given it’s one year since the Tree of Life synagogue shooting).

Fox - otherwise known as Ferdinand - came from a rather lovely shop in Glastonbury and the book stack behind is my current research pile!

@bibliophilicwitch Tomes and Tea: I recently read Little Thieves by Margaret Owen, and after i finished I learned it was a goose girl retelling. I didn’t know anything about that folktale, but I remembered that I had this book, so I started reading it a few days ago and love it so far (I love a good adventure with a talking horse!).

Today I finished Unseen City: The Majesty of Pigeons, the Discreet Charm of Snails & Other Wonders of the Urban Wilderness by Nathanael Johnson

I enjoyed it with a cup of Palais des Thés L'Herboriste Blend 46 (apple, chamomile, assorted spices)
