TIL BreezeWiki, the little website that cleans up Fandom.com💩 wikis, is made by Cadence! the same Cadence that made Bibliogram once.. and the same one featured on my website as the first and coolest of the cool websites!! (i'm a bit of a fan)

Can it be revived?

Bibliogram is open source, and it is still excellent code to build on top of, since it has the interface design, the post models, and the structures set up to perform several workarounds.

All that is needed to make it work is a function in collectors.js or body.js to access the data in the new format.

More Instagram workarounds are definitely possible due to its code still being dogshit, but I don't have the energy to look for more workarounds myself.

Yes, Bibliogram can be revived. But I won't be the one to make it happen.

Why is Bibliogram discontinued?

I'll try to document here the phases that I went through, but I might have forgotten some of those phases.

Don't panic: I am not documenting any of the currently working workarounds, only the past ones which are useless except for historical interest.

Holy shit I found out about invidious from you and I feel like I've been reborn.

It’s great right? Perfect for linking people to videos privately, less perfect for personal everyday viewing (at least I’ve been having a lot of trouble with the subscription system and consistently playing long vids on Tor)

There are similar anonymous clients for twitter (nitter) and instagram (bibliogram), and since all of these are open source there are multiple sites running the software (”instances”) that you can go through, including .onion addresses if you’re using Tor!

There’s a nifty little Firefox extension I use called Privacy Redirect that automatically takes you to one of those clients (any instance you choose) if you type in or click on a youtube, twitter, or instagram link - and also redirects google maps to Open Street Map. It’s really convenient, I recommend it!
