Being so honest, today I didn’t have the motivation to type out all of this, into an organized paragraph, but knew I needed to share this. So this is my reading of proverbs chapter 1, with some of my thoughts written on the sides. It’s not fancy, and I don’t need it to be! Please remember that we are here to build a relationship with God, not please others!

AMEN! Reposted from @scribbledevos Your way isn’t working anymore. You know that; you feel that. It’s time to yield, and allow the Lord to bring good things about in you and for you. Proverbs 3:5-12 // Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. My child, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. . . . #dailydevotional #faithoverfear #shereadstruth #faithquotes #dailyencouragement #womenoffaith #womenofgod #biblestudy #christianquotes #Jesuslovesyou #Jesussaves #christianinspiration #christianwomen #daughteroftheking #givemeJesus #coffeeandJesus #christianliving #christianposts #bibletime #biblequotes #dailybible #Jesusandcoffee #wordbeforeworld #bedeeplyrooted #itiswell #gritandvirtue #christiancreative #womenintheword https://www.instagram.com/p/CpnimEbJVAE/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

@bwycbic So often, we judge others by our own alleged standards!! What nonsense it is only our Lord who sees what is on the inside. It's time to stop judging others forc the time of judgement is near. 1 Samuel 16:7. But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” #bibletime #jesusistheway #biblestudy #dailybible #joy #oldtestament #thebible #christ #jesuschrist #holybible #faith #christian #christianity #god #christianblog #jesus #wisdom #verses #bible #bibleinspiration #serve #repent #repentance #scripture #amazinggrace #trustgod #praise #prayer #heaven #life https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn1PQj9r-3R/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The Book of Ezekiel describes the times that occurred from the first deportation of the Jews to Babylon with the dismission of King Jehoiakim of Judah until a brief time after the destruction of Jerusalem and its kingdom under the government of Zedekiah. As a spiritual sentinel, the prophet Ezekiel fulfilled the mission assigned by God to denounce the rebellion of the chosen people, Israel; the hearts of the common and simple people had hardened, and pagan Gods were worshiped in Judah, such as the God Tammuz that Ezekiel mentioned in his book. It was for this reason that Ezekiel prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem, God had abandoned Israel to their own sins and errors, and as the Bible teaches with a simple teaching, hidden errors did not take long to emerge: "For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind." Hosea 8:7. This is why after the destruction of the Kingdom of Judah the prophet Ezekiel wrote a lament about the events that occurred. A sad poem that has similarities with some teachings of Isaiah and expressions from the Book of Lamentations. And with these words, Ezekiel compared Israel to that vine that in ancient times had flourished and bore good fruit, probably during the reigns of David and Solomon: "Your mother was like a vine in your vineyard planted by the water; it was fruitful and full of branches because of abundant water. Its branches were strong, fit for a ruler's scepter. It towered high above the thick foliage, conspicuous for its height and for its many branches" Ezekiel 19:10-11. But then the prophet ended his poem by comparing Israel to that vine thrown down and transplanted into an infertile place, to teach that God only favors those who fear God with their hearts: "Now it is planted in the desert, in a dry and thirsty land. Fire spread from one of its main branches and consumed its fruit. No strong branch is left on it fit for a ruler's scepter" Ezekiel 19:13-14.

11/2/2024 READING
Tumblr media
Today i'm reading Lamentations chapter 1, i'm just going to write about somethings that stuck out to me, how God might have used His word to talk to me and what i learned from it.
"She finds no resting place." Lamentations 1:3
How often do we try to find comfort or rest in someone or something other than God? God is our ultimate protector and safe place; we can tell him everything and anything because He already knows! But us communicating with Him and letting Him know about our day to day lives and struggles is important, because then we learn how to rely on Him and not others! We shouldn't let it get to the point of us avoiding God that we no longer find rest with Him. Don't let satan guilt and shame you, he only speaks lies. God needs us to come to Him, especially in times when we feel too ashamed to. Let God be your shelter and home.
"Look, Lord, on my affliction, for the enemy has triumphed." Lamentations 1:9
Jerusalem at this point, had no one else to call out to, she has exhausted all of her resources and allies have turned their back on her. Many of us, me included, have used God as a last measure, as a fire extinguisher. He is meant to be the first one we call out to. He is our Father; we are meant to be calling out to him when we fall and wound our knees so He can make it better! We need to start seeing Him that way, how we see God shows in how we live our lives.
"Is any suffering like my suffering that was inflicted on me," Lamentations 1:12
A personified Jerusalem feels as though no one will know her pain, that it is not comparable to others pain. We all feel that way, that no one will know what we are going through and feeling, that's a LIE! Jesus came down to this earth and lived a human, perfect life. GOD LITERALLY CAME DOWN ON EARTH AND WALKED WITH US! Yet our human brains think that God won't know what we are going through, that we can't talk to Him? Pardon me, but that's insane!
"My sins have been bound into a yoke: by His hands they were woven together. They have been hung on my neck, and the Lord has sapped my strength." Lamentations 1:14
If you don't know what a yoke is, don't worry, "A yoke is a wooden bar or frame that joins two draft animals, like oxen, at their heads or necks so they can pull together." Refer to image below for an example.
Tumblr media
The yoke that was put upon Jerusalem was one that was made out of their own sins. So, for visual thinkers, imagine all that sin, bundling up together and making this yoke, that was then "It was bound to them by cords woven by God’s own hands." (Enduring word) Thats a heavy thought! That is why in Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus says "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." This is a burden we are meant to carry with the Lord, even on heavy boxes it shows two people should carry it! So, why do we think of our sins and burdens as something different? Carry it with Jesus and let Him help you!
"No one is near to comfort me." Lamentations 1:16
That's already a hard-hitting verse, it hits deep because we all can feel alone too, like we have no one to turn to. I can talk about at least 5 times this week i have felt this way, so you aren't alone! But God, He never moves away from us, He never takes a step away. Only we do that and oftentimes we do. We do walk away from God when it gets rough, we do move away from Him, BUT HE ALWAYS STAYS! That's part of His goodness! So please remember, He doesn't ever leave us, nor forsake us, just turn to Him!
"I called to my allies, but they betrayed me." Lamentations 1:19
This one i'm going to leave short and sweet. All i'm going to do is ask you a simple question. How often do we seek help from the world, before we seek help from the ultimate healer and physician God?

Don't get stressed out and worried when God is in control of your life. Heaven is working on your behalf right now. God is bigger than the problem you are facing. Trust Him to make a way. Everything will be ok. God is working out what was meant for your bad to work for your good. Stop trying to figure everything out. Just let God work it all out. It might look like a set back but God is setting you up for something greater. Things may get a little rough at times, but you'll always come out on top if you endure hardness as a good soldier. If you refuse to faint and fall away, you will have the victory. The only defeated person is the one who quits. You may not see how you could come into overflow, how you could have more than enough, but all God has to do is shift the winds, cause the right people to be good to you.
All the circumstances may say it’s impossible, but Luke 18 v 27 says, "Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” Get in agreement with God. He’s about to shift some things in your favour. Whatever is overwhelming you right now I speak the peace of God to comfort your heart and mind, in the name of Jesus. Have an overcoming day in CHRIST.
