Do you have headcanons for the Ancient Hero?

Mine are that:

he’s Rauru and Sonia’s adopted son. He is the son of a Zonai woman and the Hylian son of a Gerudo (which are more commonly then Gerudo voes). Basically he’s half Zonai, 1/4 Hylian, and 1/4 Gerudo. He gets his red hair from his grandma.

As a kitten he accidentally tore off Ganondorf’s nipple. How? Rauru was trying to give Ancient a bath but didn’t notice that he had attached himself to Ganondorf’s nipple ring, at least not until Ganondorf was screaming in pain. Thankfully Zonai technology reattached his nipple and the ring.

Zonai have two names, one in animalistic growls and grunts and the other in Hylain when they’re older and have a grasp of the language. Ancient never got his Hylian until he was in his teens and it was Link. He hated it because of the fact it was chosen due to the Triforce marking he had.

Ancient saw Zelda (Flora) turn into the Light Dragon. He was only a kitten then but he wanted to help her one day return her to normal

During the first battle against Calamity Ganon, Ancient’s back got broken and this caused Calamity to sealed rather than destroyed. Zonai and Sheikah technology helped him walk again.

Ancient is very intelligent and helped create the Guardians and other ancient tech we see in Wild’s time. I got this headcanon from @ninma

He will steal anything shiny. He created the Sheikah Slate so he can store his shiny things after he filled all of his hiding spots.

I'm gonna talk about Baby Aspect for this because if I talk about the one in Aspects I'll get into spoilers territory lmao

His parents are both Hylian/Zonai hybrids and in his era this is very common, so he's used to seeing a bunch of people who look like him

that said, he's seven, so he just doesn't question things like appearance. Are they friend-shaped? He will befriend them.

Yes, this includes unsuspecting monsters. He is very cute and catches them all off guard.

He speaks fluent Hylian as well as growl-purr-cat-language. Some of the older generations couldn't, but it's become the norm for everyone to be at least bi-lingual

He was born a few years after Flora became the Light Dragon, and she's already been mythologised by his time.

He doesn't have all of the tattoos/markings that he will when fully grown, but he does have them on his face. It's a painless and joyful ceremony that welcomes a child into the wider community and marks them with their family design, and it's really lovely. He's super proud of them and can't wait to get older and earn more.

His parents won't let him get his ears pierced until he's 12 and he's SO MAD

Yeah I don’t think these anons can hear enough from you that this is a “college queer group” problem. I went to multiple schools in different parts of the country and they’re all either Social Club for Gay Dudes or they’re like this, just people being as fractious and extreme and having this constant contest of holier than thou. At least among undergraduate groups (grad students are better about this in their queer social groups at least). College queer groups are like the worst of Tumblr discourse x10. It’s good to have more different types of queer people in your friends group anyway but the first anon’s problem is very specific.

I was in college 1999-2003, so the dumb college queer group dynamics were a little different, and I'd definitely say my overall experience was better... But even so...

College is full of people trying on new, exciting, and profoundly self-righteous ideas about themselves and identity. Lots of groupthink. Lots of insecurity. Lots of cluelessness and way less grasp of history and broader culture than people think they have.

I'm not saying nobody ever made a good queer friend in college. Of course they do. But the actual organized groups usually leave something to be desired, and it sounds like they've only gotten worse of late.

Once you're older and out of school, there are still assholes, of course, but a lot of people have a greater sense of needing to band together in a largely uncaring world. And, generally, you form groups with people you share something besides just queerness with: you either have compatible personalities and hobbies or you're doing a very specific activist task within specific parameters.

TBH, I've heard horror stories about post-school support groups though. I briefly went to a bi one in L.A. just to check it out, and it was fine. The people were often older, and they were from a lot of different backgrounds, so the echo chamber effect couldn't take over. But some of the ones that overflow with needy people in their early 20s from similar backgrounds sound really bad in that way that happens when people need so much and the organization and other members just don't have that much to give because everyone else is in that same boat.

I think the support group format itself can really contribute to this.

When I've gotten support from fellow queer people, it has generally been in the form of forming friendships and then getting the usual kind of support from those, just with some added queer solidarity vibes. Part of it is just about what "community" really means and how much active social work that is. People who are there to do that are usually doing a little better in their own lives, have better boundaries around emotional vampires, and thus have a lot more to give if they do want to be friends.

The moralizing, natch. So many things I didn't even really notice as a kid were supposed to be annoying-- because I agreed with him-- I have to watch through my fingers now. That episode where he sets up the scavenger hunt is especially hard to sit through because that is so something I might've done in another life.

What are your thoughts on the labels lesbian versus bisexual? Like, it seems it used to be that any women interested in her own sex was labeled a lesbian. And women in the women's lib movement who we would call bisexual today called themselves lesbians. Do you think that women who only date/have sex with their own sex can call themselves lesbian, since they're "living as" lesbians? Or is that erasing the experience of real lesbians? I think it's unfair to call yourself a lesbian if you're a bisexual woman, but then there's a part of me that thinks "bisexual" makes it sound as if you're equal opportunity, men and women, when that may not be the case. Of course, this is a very minor problem, and I understand lesbians face a different experience in life than bisexual women. But as a bisexual woman, a part of me just does not like the term, because there's this implication that I'll end up with a man after experimenting with women in my youth, or something. Anyway, I'm just curious on your general thoughts on this discussion - I don't have a precise question. Thanks!

general thoughts: i have a similar sense as you that the boundaries of "lesbian" are important because lesbians' boundaries are important (lesbian women's ability to say no to men is the axiom of all women's boundaries).

I know a woman in real life who calls herself "lesbian with an exception" and it infuriates me (and the exception is her boyfriend, not like, a celebrity man she thinks is hot). That being said I barely care if a woman married to a woman does this, there are bigger issues. (Bi women in het longterm relationships/marriages do this a lot and I don't see a serious movement for going up to long married women and their husbands like "thou shalt label yourself as bi!")

advice part: I get that you might feel insecure or not taken seriously as a bisexual because it feels like they all just end up with men anyway, or that the bi women around you dont't seem as serious about dating women. You can just do what I did when I was questioning/figuring things out and just say you're "into women" for a while: its true, it makes it clear what you're looking for when dating, and people know what it means (unlike something like "febfem", which is a cool worthwhile thing, just that explaining it to people in real life can get annoying).

"Stop this War"

I will try to be nice with this post, but I really dislike people telling Hellcheer shippers to stop this war with st*ddies in the name of peace and harmony. Although, I do like the sentiment. I really do. I just can't be quiet about the bold harassment and the unnecessary toxicity against something I like and people I admire for their creativity. And I really do question whether those people truly understand the fundamental problem that Hellcheer shippers have with toxic st*ddies and the scope of the situation in general.

I'm checking the A03 tags as I write this post up and currently

we (Hellcheer) have 956 works on the website.

Steddie have 7,013 works on the website.

And Harringrove (a ship that has been around since 2017) has 8,415 works on the website.

For a better comparison, that means that Steddie has exactly 1,402 fics to go to meet the cumulative effort of 5 years hard work in a less than 3 months since the official creation of the ship. That's utterly insane. And if we did that math again, Steddie has 6,057 more fics than Hellcheer. That's the fucking scope that we are dealing with.

Their ship is the Lusitania, while our ship is a rowboat.

Many of us have always say this over and over, we were minding our business for a good solid week or two (I came around June 9th into the tumblr fandom) before claims were being made about Chrissy's age. Personally I didn't even know that people were shipping Steve x Eddie (cause they have no chemistry in my eyes) because no one was talking about them in the 'edssy' tags and I don't have twitter. People were just making fanart and other things to celebrate our cute ship. So I literally discovered Steddie's existence as we got called out for  p*dophilia (which is not the correct term, but go off) and homophobia. From my viewpoint, we got dragged into a shipping war against our will as we kicked and screamed at the the top of our lungs that we didn't want a war. I know for my "Joe Quinn was Right" posts, I danced around my actual feelings to preserve peace and minimize hate. I know a lot of my mutuals did that and continue to do that with those who are stalking their accounts and sending them threats. We have been vocal about not caring whether someone ships St*ddie or Hellcheer. Nevertheless, we are also been very clear to point the obvious flaws in shipping Steddie and or their sketchy behavior, while acting as holy than thou than the rest of the fandom:

The misogynistic harassment of Grace (and Amybeth).

The biphobia and bi erasure.

The fetishization of attractive white gay men.

The constant whining for some or better wIw rep in Ronance, but than ignoring the canonical lesbian ship of Rockie in the show or failing to give Ronance the same amount of love as your mIm ship.

Only making Chrissy a lesbian because they want her away from Eddie under the guise of allyship.

The stealing of lines from other scenes or characters in order to make their ship more cute and fluffy.

The mass reporting of Hellcheer artwork.

The invalidation of people's queer identities/sexualities because they ship a heterosexual ship (or a straight passing if they see it that way).

The obsessive nature that people have formed a parasocial bond with Joe Quinn to the point where they are assuming his sexuality, stalking his family's social media for pics where he was a minor for some twisted reason, and harassing him on his family vacation.

Like we can't bring up those facts because we don't want a shipping war? We didn't even bring up those fact until recently because we have been poked for a entire two months straight. Grace literally thought her safety was in danger, going to an con because her friend was attending the same event. Are you really telling us not to say anything? Are you telling them to mind their own business and go to their corner of their internet with their 7,013 fics and their shit ton of fanart? Because the reality is this extremely tiny Hellcheer squad can't stop this war. Even if we decided not to call people out and did our own thing, people would still be harassed and made to feel like crap about themselves for liking this ship. Even if Joe came out tomorrow and say stop this war, toxic St*ddies would think that Grace is holding him hostage at knife point. St*ddies are the only one who can stop this war, but they wouldn't until they get Steve x Eddie as canon (which they will never have). Tough on the outside but soft on the inside delinquent and the devilish lonely rich boy who'll go batshit crazy if his friends are in danger. Both of them learning to trust and very slowly showing their vulnerable sides to each other.... I can't say much, it's already a spoiler that they become closer because in the story they start as strangers or even "enemies". They're also secondary characters so they make appearance later in the story and gradually gain more importance (well, it started with them being secondary but tbh now they're one of the main characters with a lot of focus AND I AM SO HAPPY). But anyway, I am absolutely obsessed with them.

The original main pair (zhanyi) has completely different dynamic and vibe, but I love them and enjoy their story and relationship very much as well <3

The guys are hella funny but also very smart and cool, the girls are intense and ambitious and need to have everything under control but are also very sweet and loving. The shows are light and hilarious, good as a stress relief.

First of all I recommend The Good Place in general, a wild ride of unexpected twists and turns, each reveal more “whaaat” than the previous one, with diverse representation and filled with philosophical questions and lessons, created by people who love philosophy. Svvord of Truth - Richard and KahIan

I kinda feel like I owe it to them to mention them here, probably my earliest couple on this list. It’s an old high fantasy series which I read when I plunged straight into puberty, I haven't read it as a more mature person so I wonder if there are some harmful stereotypes I didn't see or how many typical tropes there are (well e.g. the main guy is so ridiculously overpowered and smarter/holier-than-thou, and there is a lot of black and white there) but also it’s a really complex world with interesting mechanics. However, what truly makes me remember this series fondly is because it was there with me when I was going through a lot of hardships, showing me a rich world with many people worth loving, strong women who I admired and strived to be, wise people of different backgrounds, cultures, and ages. It taught me how important it is to be kind and compassionate, that no matter how desperate your situation can get there is always hope and a way, that people who care about you will be there for you when you need them, and that you need to reciprocate as well. To always “think about the solution, not about the problem” which became the thing I repeat to myself every time I start struggling. The main couple also showed me what I want to strive for in a good relationship - support, understanding, standing by each other’s side no matter what, deep respect for each other and treating each other as equals, working for the relationship, and most importantly trusting each other. The series might be a typical high fantasy but for my growing and messed up mind it was a good teacher who reminded me of things we consider obvious but tend to forget, and might have played a significant role in who I am now.

Hello friends who may or may not remember me. Don't worry, this is not a request for asylum from Twitter. Though you may not have seen posts from me, know that I have continued to enjoy my tumblr citizenship while studying abroad on twitter.

That said, I recognize it's been.... uh, years? Since I had any actual "presence" on tumblr. If what I had can qualify as a presence. It was The 39 Clues Fandom. We had like, what, 25 people?

No I'm here today to address: holy shit I used to be a bad person sometimes?

I did and said a lot of shitty, problematic things. You can comb back and see. I haven't deleted anything, nor do I plan to. I've had this blog for over 10 years now. There are posts here documenting interactions with people who have been my friends for that entire time. Through the entire time I was learning how to be.... not as terrible.

Being apart of this place helped me learn how to reflect on myself, even if I was initially unwilling to do so. I know for a long time I was a bit of a holier-than-thou type. I didn't see my own microaggresions and biases. I though if I wasn't intentionally racist, homophobic, antisemitic, etc then I was good. I've learned now that simply isn't the case and I was just an asshole, simple as that.

So while I'm not on this site much anymore, nor do I plan to actively return anytime soon, I want to apologize. To everyone I may have hurt, upset, targeted with the things I said.

Especially to my East Asian friends and community in general. I used to use the name Makaria Lee. I recognize now that it's not an appropriate surname for me to use as a white individual. I apologize for my ignorance, and the name will not be used anymore. I dropped it years ago, and I've done my best to change any usernames I have that use it. I know that won't make up for the years I wrongfully used the name.

I also apologize to the LGBTQ+ community. A long time ago I reblogged a post that was incredibly transphobic. I didn't realize it at the time and mistook it for commentary on something else. I apologize to my friend who reached out and attempted to educate me. That post has been deleted, but it was deleted a long time ago. At the time I didn't identify as nonbinary (only bi), but it definitely goes to show that just because you are a part of a marginalized community, doesn't mean you can't be bigoted towards that very community.

I know I was also a dick to the community board faction of 39 Clues fans and huge apology to all those great kids. It seems like you guys had a blast over there, and just because we were on tumblr doesn't mean we were better than y'all.

This probably seems entirely unnecessary and it probably is! Regardless of its necessity or acceptance, I am sorry for the actions of my youth that caused harm. That's all.

This Week's Fighters...

Kratos vs Thor!

Conditions:

Base Marvel Comics Thor vs Power of Hope Kratos.

Scenario:

After Kratos finishes slaughtering Zeus at the end of God of War 3, Thor gets teleported in by the bi-frost, having been informed by Heimdal of the Spartan's bloody rampage. Thor announces his intent to bring Kratos to justice for the billions he has slain.

"My revenge has already been fulfilled, thunder god. No more blood has to be shed today."

"Indeed. The damage thou hast done to this realm is likely irreversible. But I would not be an Avenger if I didn't try to avenge it! Have at you!!"

Analysis: Kratos

If you had to name a group of proud, all conquering warriors from human history, the Spartans would be one of the first to come to mind. And Kratos was one of the most dreaded among them. A vicious Spartan warrior, Kratos would rise up to become a fearsome general, leading his people to victory against many a mighty nation. That is, until the day ge went up against the Barbarians and his army was nearly decimated. A desperate Kratos prayed to Ares for help in winning this war. Ares obliged, granting Kratos unfathomable strength in exchange for his undying loyalty. To test this loyalty and to turn Kratos into a mighty warrior, Ares tricked the Spartan into mudering his own family. With his skin now bleached white by the grave sin he'd committed, Kratos would swear revenge upon the God of War and this newly minted Ghost of Sparta would have it by any means necessary.

Kratos would gather numerous weapons in his quest for revenge, his sharp, experienced warrior instinct capable of mastering all of them as soon as he gets his hands on them. All of his weapons, including his bare hands, are capable of killing ghosts, while with the Soul of Hades, he can summon the army of the dead, who have the ability to transmute the living into mindless underworld soldiers. He can freely manipulate time with the Amulet of Uroboros, freezing time or aging people to death. He can absorb the life force and powers of other people with his bare hands, while the Sun Shield reflects back any attack thrown at him. His most iconic weapons are, by far, the Blades of Chaos.

The Blades of Chaos are jagged bladed weapons attached to chains wrapped around Kratos's wrists. Kratos's creative use of these fiery elemental swords has netted him many brutal kills, whether he's using them like whips to rip his opponents to shreds from a distance, or using them like meat hooks to grapple onto and scale colossal enemies.

It's no suprise that Kratos's viscous use of these tools eventually allowed him to get his revenge on Ares, stabbing him to death with a giant fucking sword and becoming the new God of War in his place. You would think that would be the end of it. Ares was one of the mightiest Gods on Olympus, just killing him would be bad ass enough for most people. But the story doesn't end there. See, Zeus, ruler of the skies and most powerful God on Mount Olympus, had been adding Kratos on his journey to stop Ares, as Zeus feared that Ares would be able to over throw him. As such, he was none too pleased that an even more capable mortal with a massive chip on his shoulder had usurped the most hated God in the Pantheon. Fearing that his son Kratos would usurp him just like Zeus did his own father, Zeus prematurely betrayed Kratos and cast him down to Hades.

Which Kratos proceeded to crawl his way out of through sheer force of rage, before setting of on yet another quest for revenge. Where upon he would gain even more ridiculous powers... such as the ability to absorb concepts.

See, Ares isn't the only time that Kratos would become a God. After defeating Thanatos, Kratos would end up absorbing his concept, becoming the new Death, Destroyer of Worlds. That's right: Kratos is literally the physical embodiment of War and Death... which I feel pretty well explains his actions from this point forward.

Kratos could never be described as a gentle man, but past this point he just went ballistic. He became unfathomably ruthless, to the point where would kill anyone and everyone he needed to to get his revenge... and I do mean everyone. His list of atrocities includes ripping of someone's wings to use as his own, cutting off Hermes's feat to steal his shoes, and cutting off Helios's head to use as a flashlight. Oh, as well as eating Hades's soul with his own chains, cutting Chronos open from the inside, and drowning all of Greece by killing Poseidan. Yeah, overboard is downplaying it.

And sadly, there was nothing the Gods could really do to stop him. Which is saying one hell of a lot for how powerful these guys are. He's resisted getting his soul devoured, survived getting stabbed with a massive fucking sword, and could not have his fate altered or changed by the Sisters of Fate despite them controlling the fates of everyone in existence. And that's not even getting into the power these Gods wield.

Helios is powerful enough to illuminate the entire underworld with his light, despite it being repeatedly stated by the game's creators to be infinite in size. This means that in order for Helios's regular illumination (which he projects just by existing mind you) to be able to brighten the entire land in any finite amount of time, it would have to be moving at an infinite amount of speed, with Helios generating an infinite amount of energy in order to project it. And this is far from the only feat like this. The Primordials, whom the gods would scale to, have existed since before time itself did and they could move around in said timeless void just fine. Cronos's birth itself caused the creation of time and Kratos defeated him. One of the titans, Hyperion, created a spear the could bear the weight of the entire universe and Atlas has his famous feat of holding up the universe here that he has in classic myth. Meaning that this level of power and speed is very consistent for the series.

And that's not even accounting for the fact that the Greek Gods have been stated as being comparable to the Norse Gods. This would include Thor, who shook all nine realms of the World Tree, making them even stronger than the above feats would suggest.

Of course, even when all that power isn't enough, Kratos has two big guns that he can bust out. The Blade of Olympus is a powerful blade capable of nullifying all of a Gods' powers and rendering them mortal, allowing even the most powerful beings in the heavens to be killed. Seeing how the Gods are literally the concepts the embody, this means Kratos can't just eat concepts, he can kill them outright. And with the Power of Hope, Kratos becomes the single most powerful being in all of Greek myth, completely incapable of being killed even by the Blade of Olympus so long as Hope exists anywhere.

Sadly, this power was completely antithetical to what had driven Kratos this far to begin with and by the time this power was embraced, the damage had already been done. Kratos, unable to even kill himself now, had created the ultimate Greek tragedy, leaving behind not even a chorus to appreciate the irony.

Analysis: Thor

Thor Odinson. Thunder God. Warrior. Prince. Hero. And one day a king. Above all of those, however, Thor is an Avenger.

Thor Odinson was the headstrong son of, well, Odin. He was a proud warrior prince who proved for many millennia that he was just as much a warrior as his father. Sadly, he was not as ready to be king as his father hoped, so Odin banished Thor to Earth where he could learn to be more than a warrior.

On Earth, Thor would meet and team up with many great mortal heroes, eventually joining them to become a founding member of the Avengers. With his newfound friends, Thor would battle against many a mighty foe and protect mankind from certain extermination with all the power he had. And trust me, he has a lot.

Thor has all the powers you might expect him to have from Mjolnir and then some. Yes, he can freely fly, shoot lightning, and create storms just by swinging that little thing around, but he can also do some flat out ridiculous things with it. He can transmute matter on the atomic level, turn completely invisible, become intangible at will, and even seal his foes away inside of glass spheres. This is because Thor's hammer is not merely an enchanted weapon, but it is instead a prison for The God Tempest, a sentient cosmic storm that rampaged across the universe until Odin sealed it away inside the block of Uru that would later be forged into his son's hammer. Of course, a hammer that powerful can't be welded by just anyone, so it's enchanted so that only the worthy can lift it.

Fittingly, Thor can also use his hammer to seal things away, mainly by using to absorb energy attacks and even suck the energy straight out of people. One time, he even used two Mjolnirs to absorb the God Bomb, which would've killed every deity in existence across time and space. Needless to say, he takes after his dad in that sense. But that's only the tip of the iceberg.

See, Thor is the God of Thunder in almost every sense of the word. In that, he will always come back no matter what you try to do to him. Thor has no sold being aged to death, having his soul devoured, and even being torn apart by his individual atoms. And, even if you do managed to kill him, that's no guarantee he'll stay dead. One time, he was erased so throughly from existence that everyone completely forgot about his existence. That is, until the Silver Surfer found his hammer. This faint glimmer of Deja Vu immediately caused Thor to come right back to life good as new. As long as anyone, anywhere, faintly remembers Thor even slightly, he will always return. Though even his unkillability pales in comparison to the sheer raw power he wields.

Thor can consistently fly across the entire Marvel universe, which has consistently been stated to be infinite in size, in a finite amount of time, as well as shake the entire universe just by throwing his hammer. These are feats that would by themselves require infinite power and speed to achieve, but there's still more. Thor is constantly depicted as on par with the Hulk, who can destroy an entire universe with just a clap of his hands, Hyperion, who can tank being sandwiched between two universes completely unharmed, and even Marvel's Hercules, who can match Atlas's feat of lifting up the sky. Thor's most impressive showing, however, is when he overpowered the World Engine, which was controlling all of Nine Realms within the World Tree, showing he's superior to a force that can effect nine universes simultaneously. And as for speed, well, he once flew around the planet so fast that he traveled back in time. That's not just infinite speed, that's moving so fast you arrive at your destination before you even left.

And that's just base Thor. With Warrior's Madness, Thor becomes 10x more powerful in exchange for completely losing all control and flying into a berserker rage. This is an unpardonable sin in Asgardian society and for good reason, a Thor who can't tell the difference between friend or foe is a Thor who could end the world at a moment's notice. Case in point, the Godblast.

The Godblast is easily Thor's most powerful attack, capable of potentially killing Galactus.

G A L A C T U S

As in, the devourer of worlds so powerful that he threatens the existence of the infinite Marvel Multiverse just by fighting. There are gods and then there's Galactus. This is vastly more powerful than anything else Thor has in his arsenal by miles.

Needless to say, Thor has earned his place as one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

It's very fitting that both of these characters have fought rough equivalents to each other in their own universes because this matchup is very close.

First up, stats. Both of these characters are completely equal in attack potency because they scale to literally the exact same feat. Both can effect the entire nine realms of Yiggdrasil through sheer strength alone. Thor however, has a considerable advantage in speed. Yes, Kratos has infinite speed and he can get even faster with Hermes boots (...somehow), but Thor is faster than even that. To put it into simple terms, Kratos can move so fast that he arrives at his destination in exactly zero seconds. Thor can move so fast that he arrives before he even left. Thor is faster because he arrives before Kratos even leaves, even though Kratos arrives the instant he leaves (which makes Thor the superior delivery boy).

As for hax, woo boy. I'll admit, like with Mario vs Sonic, I left a fuck ton out of the analysis because they were powers that both characters have. Both can attack kn the atomic level and resist it, both can destroy souls and tank soul destruction, and both can manipulate time (which, even without resistances, is rendered moot by their speeds anyways). However, Kratos does have a few key advantages.

Firstly, while Warrior's Madness would give Thor a considerable strength advantage (I don't think Rage of the Gods can match it, as there's no indication it's a ten times amp), it's side effects would detriment Thor by taking away his intelligence advantage and lessening his versatility, which is not a concession that it's wise to make against Kratos.

Secondly, I believe that Kratos can kill Thor. The Sword of Olympus kills concepts and Kratos himself can straight up absorb them, which should be more than what Thor's resurrection can handle.

On the other hand: Godblast. Not only is it far more powerful than anything seen in the GOW franchise, but it's ability to potentially kill Galactus leads me to believe that it can bypass the Power of Hope, as even the abstract concept of Death cannot claim Galactus while the Godblast potentially can. Furthermore, Thor can seal Kratos away, something Kratos has never dealt with before, giving him a non-lethal option.

Ultimately, while both could very easily kill the other if given the chance, I believe Thor's speed advantage would give him the opportunity to do so first. Kratos can kill Thor with anything given his ability to kill Gods, but that requires him to land a lethal blow on a foe who is just as versatile and skilled, but much, much faster.

Why did you choose your URL?

My original url for this blog was bloodycarnations. It was supposed to be a reference to a scene in Tokyo ghoul where Kaneki bleeds onto a bed of white carnations and they symbolically turn into red spider lilies. I switched to thyandrawrites because I'm no longer a tg blog. Thyandra is my online nickname and my pseud on ao3, and I wanted people to connect this blog to my writing more easily

I usually scroll the dash for half an hour each day when I'm not distracted / busy with something else. Whenever a good chapter drops tho I can spend even a couple of hours on here, either writing meta about it or reading trusted mutuals' takes

Did you have a fight/argument with another blog once?

mmh, I can't remember any actual fight but I admit that I haven't always been on my best behaviour. I sometimes get snappy and very defensive when I can't parse tones well, and that led to a couple of confrontations with anons over the years (some of which were actually people trying to start shit, others were people whose tone I misread and attacked myself). It's an issue I have. I'm working on it! I'm already a lot better at letting things sit without assuming the worst than I used to be. Also because now I have severely crippling confrontation anxiety, but that's another can of worms lol

I once got vagued by a popular blogger who tagged the post with "die bitch" tho... we used to be mutual until then but that opened my eyes to how toxic she was

I have a strong dislike for guilt-tripping. It feels very manipulative, especially when that holier-than-thou attitude is performative. A reblog about a sensitive topic deserving attention doesn't substitute actual activism and guilt-tripping people into thinking so is straight-up shitty

I used to! I go from being a misanthrope to crushing very easily on people. No in between. The person in question was an author whose writing made me feel seen and gave me the illusion of seeing them in turn. I ended up crushing on them for a short while but it was just a parasocial relationship I created by assuming things on them from the way they described the world in their writing. Kinda dumb in retrospect, lmao. Silly old me, what did you expect from an internet relationship
