NCC & NSS unit of GDC Khour observed “Shaheedi Diwas”   The NCC & NSS unit of GDC Khour observed “Shaheedi Diwas” under “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav”. The programme began with lightening of the ceremonial lamp followed by floral tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh and his comrades Sukhdev & Rajguru. A documentary depicting the biography of Bhagat Singh and his role in the Independence was screened for the students. A poetry recitation competition was also organized on this occasion in which Barsha Bhau, Isha Choudhary, Khushi Sharma, Mannat Bhau, Shagun Choudhary and Rupali participated. Speaking on the occasion Prof. Tarsem Lal highlighted the sacrifices made by the revolutionaries, Bhagat Singh, and his comrades in the freedom struggle of India. He also impressed upon the students to inculcate the spirit of patriotism and take steps to eradicate the social evils. Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) today celebrated “Shaheedi Diwas” and rich tributes were paid to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed RajGuru and Shaheed Sukhdev.
