REIKAI SHIPPING WIKI.
So guys, I'm trying to fill up Bakuten Shoot Beyblade's shipping wiki and I need someone to provide me content. As in reminding me of basic interactions and relationships of characters with each other.
Currently, I'm doing ReiKai. Thus, I would need someone to sum up their moments and interactions from season 1, season 2 and season 3. Also, we would need to add moments from the manga bakuten shoot rising and the movie 'Fierce Battle' as well.

Looking forward to your contributions !

new ask game send me a character (or multiple) and i will give 3-5 highly specific headcanons about them. these can range from "what do i think they'd watch on youtube" (but as i said, answered in a Very Specific way) to "do i think they'd fall for a multi level marketing scheme". those specific examples aren't guaranteed they're just off the top of my head
#rat chat#beyblade#<- i am doing this for the original beyblade series specifically but feel free to rb this for non-bsb things ig

What show or movie is a guilty pleasure for you?
When you're sitting neatly on the peak of of Maslow's Pyramid, there are no guilty pleasures - only shamless indulgence.

Also the 2003 film, 'Kangaroo Jack'.

Are Kyoraku's game abilities actually based on real Japanese children games? I only know about the Daruma one.
Sorry i put this off so long, i kept meaning to go dig up the old anime episodes to see if the anime added or changed anything, but never did. I'm just leaning on the fan wikia to take inventory and trusting they didn't overlook anything...

Bushogoma[不精独楽]: "Lazy SpinningTop" is the type of spinning top toy you usually see in Japan, where you wind a bit of string around the top to use like a rip chord to send it spinning; as opposed to the sort you'd spin by hand or something.
(It's similar to the beigoma tops that Beyblades are based on.)
(Oh a good thing to note here is that in the japanese version of the game we generally refer to as "tag" as well as the "it" role in it is called "oni" as in a demon/ogre. So the term in all the associated "XYZ-Oni" attacks could functionally just be translated as "XYZ-Tag")
TakaOni[嶄鬼]: "(High/Steep)Mountain Tag" is a play on takaoni[高鬼]: "High(up) Tag" a variation of tag where the tagger must be at even or higher elevation than the person they're tagging. i.e. players higher up than the tagger are considered safe. The "taka" is also a homonym with taka[鷹]: "hawk/falcon" and seems to be a play on how hawks hunt by diving at their prey, meaning they have a blind spot above them.
KageOni[影鬼] "Shadow Tag" is a variation of tag where instead of tagging the person themselves, whoever is "it" has to touch their shadow to tag them out.
IroOni[艶鬼]: "colorful/lustrous oni" is actually a pun on irooni[色鬼]: "Color Tag." Unlike in the manga the rule is usually that once a color is declared, touching anything of that color is considered "safe," so each round is a matter of chasing down players until everyone is either out or safe, then declaring a new target color.
Daruma-san ga koronda[だるまさんがころんだ] got the most attention I think of the whole line up and is the Japanese name for what I think it most commonly called "Red Light, Green Light" in English.
(Pretty notably the manga Kami-sama no Iu Touri[神さまの言うとおり] aka As The Gods Will used it as the first big game in their death game series, with a literal Japanese daruma doll. It's also what Squid Game stole its first game plot from, beat for beat.)
Kageokuri[影送り]: "Shadow send(off)" i don't know that this is really a "game" but it's when you stare at your shadow on the ground for a bit then up at the sky and can see your shadow's afterimage.

BBS adds Yubikiri[指斬り]: lit."finger beheading" as in to cut off the "head" of a finger. It's what we'd call a "pinky promise" in English, the idea being that you've sworn to keep whatever promise at the cost of cutting off your pinky if you aren't faithful to it.
...as well as Kagome kagome[囲召籠目]: "encircled basket eye" a pun on[籠目籠目]: "basket eye, basket eye." Children hold hands in a circle with an oni/it in the middle, they dance around in said circle singing while the center child keeps their eyes close, and when the song ends the oni/it has to guess who is directly behind them. The tune of the song that goes with it is extremely recognizable.
Some of the old videogames had original techniques but those were largely made before any of his actual powers were revealed so they're mostly just like wind elemental attacks and don't contribute to the theme.(ugh... goddamnit now that i went and looked for it i realize there's like zero info around most of those old games and it makes me want to download emulator files for them all and look up all their move lists... i dont want to actually do all that tho...)
Honestly I'm surprised Katen and Kyokotsu didn't have any anime original abilities in the filler arc or something...
They do have a BBS card with the move Utage-no-Ikkyou[宴の一興]: "Amusement/(Brief)Entertainment of (a) Feast/Party" which isn't really a game of any sort. at least not specifically. It would refer to something like a bit of song and dance interlude at a feudal era banquet. Admittedly a clever intersection of Katen and Kyokotsu's differing types of play -children's game vs adult entertainment.
#bleach#bleach meta#shunsui kyoraku#katen kyokotsu#oh hey found that missing post#i guess when it sent it to drafts#it acted like i had drafted it back when the ask was first sent?#so it instantly buried it like 100 posts deep

the banana fish fandom has been looking like it's dying recently, so let's share headcannons!
Eiji is a huge star wars fan, Shorter on the other hand is a huge star trek fan. Instead of fighting about this, they instead nerd out together and have binged the entirety of Star Trek the original series and the original Star wars movies ( jokes on them Ash is a fuckin nerd who loves both)
Shorter is a really big fan of music, pretty much any kind. Ash likes any kind of music that has a lot of music, so imagine him listening to alot of Midwest emo ( he loves la dispute) and also classical. Eiji listens to pretty much anything on the radio, but he has a soft spot for classic rock and metal like Ozzy Osborne.
Yut Lung has about 5 Instagram accounts, and he uses each of these just to bully others that he finds himself jealous of.
sing is a beyblade kid. Shorter also loves beyblades and he plays with sing.
Shorter introduced Eiji to South park. He has never been the same.
If we're looking at a banana fish AU in 2025, that would mean the boys are all Gen z ( which is absolutely crazy to think about) Eiji was definitely a unrestricted Internet access kid which is probably why he can deal with so much shit. Someone getting killed? That's nothing. Smile HD? Now that's terrifying.
Shorter probably has eaten a tidepod or something like that.
Ash collects classic vinyl, which is one of his escapes. He has all kinds, pop, jazz, rock, even some new stuff, but it really helps him calm down.
Shorter plays drums and Ash plays guitar. They were once in a two piece punk band which ended with a shootout between them and a rival gang.
shorter is actually really smart, but he dropped out of school because he was struggling with his ADHD and wanted to help his sister.
Ash would often claim Nadia as his own sister because she was so awesome.
Ash doesn't really get Japanese, so he started watching subtitled anime to try to understand the language better.
In Cape cod, the boys shot their own movie. Ash didn't want to be in front of the camera so he helped Eiji with the cinematography. It was a very poorly produced 15 minute film about Shorter, an aspiring actor, and it strangely turns into a zombie gore flick.
Ash and Eiji have some of the worst pet names and it's mostly a joke. Sometimes Eiji will call Ash some Japanese word with an absolutely crazy meaning, and Ash will think it's sweet but it definitely isn't.
Ash is definitely little spoon and he will fight for the death to keep this.
Despite his love for mustard, Ash absolutely cannot take spicy food, but he eats it cause he likes it.
Ash is a dog person and Eiji is a cat person.
I have more but I want to see you guys first!

Fun Facts about Kyoya Tategami
His given name means "divine shield," a direct reference to the fact that he owns defense-type Beyblades.
He is the first major character to battle Gingka Hagane in a duel while using a non generic bey.
The person he battled the most is Gingka.
At the end of Metal Fury, he stated that he would defeat the other Legendary Bladers before battling Gingka, in accordance with his original plan. At the end of the show, we see him and Gingka preparing to battle, which might signify that he managed to defeat the other Legendary Bladers.
Considering he reached the semifinals of Battle Bladers and scored the most points in the selection phase for the Japanese team, he can easily be considered one of the strongest Bladers in Japan.
Kyoya battled Ryuga only twice, and coincidentally, both times were before Gingka fougth the Dragon Emperor.
He got his scars after protecting his younger brother, Kakeru.
In Zero G/Shogun Steel, it is revealed that he inherited his father’s company, TC.
Kyoya’s father, Gaou appear in a small comic of Takafumi Adachi, and Kakeru appears in the manga, with the latter making a cameo at the end of the Zero G anime.
Interestingly, Kakeru’s Bey is named Chimera. In Greek mythology, the Chimera was defeated by Bellerophon and Pegasus. Coincidentally, Kyoya (Kakeru’s brother) has a strong rivalry with Gingka, the owner of Pegasus. Additionally, the Chimera was part lion, and Kyoya owns a lion-based Beyblade.
Kyoya’s main goal was to defeat Gingka, yet we never see him truly succeed. The closest he got was a draw in the World Championship. It is notable that draws are quite rare in Metal Fight Beyblade.
He is the first character to use the Rock Fusion Wheel in the anime, one of the most used wheels in the series.
Dashan Wang’s Rock Zurafa R145WB has a similar Fusion Wheel and tip to Kyoya’s Rock Leone 145WB.
In the beginning, Kyoya needed to rely on natural wind or high places to produce his special move, but he later managed to generate his own wind through friction.
The Lion Gale Force Wall was originally a more defense move, but as the series progressed, Kyoya adopted a more offensive stance. This is reflected in his second Bey, Fang Leone, which has a counter mode.
He has one of the highest number of special moves, with nine different special attacks.
Most of his special moves, if not all, use tornadoes and reference lions and wind.
He is the only character to lead a team representing a different country than his birthplace. Wild Fang technically represents the fictional country of Savannah, while Kyoya is Japanese.
Kyoya is also the only team leader in the World Championships who had previously fought Gingka back in Metal Fusion.
The name "Wild Fang" has been referenced later in the series: Kyoya named his evolved Bey "Fang Leone." Episode 100 of Beyblade also references this, as it is titled "The Wild Beast Unleashed" and primarily features Kyoya’s fight against Damian.
Kyoya’s Leone was damaged several times throughout the series:
First by Doji.
Second by Kyoya himself when he overused his power in a battle royale.
Third during his battle with Gingka in the World Championship.
Fourth during his battle against Damian.
Fifth in the final stance against Nemesis.
Kyoya is the Legendary Blader of Spring. Coincidentally, he has green hair and aura, and green is often associated with spring as a color symbolizing regeneration.
In real life, Rock Leone is more green-blue, but in the anime, it is a darker shade of green. This color change was apparently made to help distinguish it from Storm Pegasus.
Leone’s motif shows a small star in the letter "O" for Leo. This alludes to the constellation Leo, which Leone is based on. For Fang Leone, it is bigger and placed on the paw.
Rock Leone is featured in the title card of the 100th episode of Metal Fight Beyblade.
Fang Leone’s colors match the real-life Bey.
In episode 112, in which he battled Lynx, Rock Leone can be seen instead of Fang Leone, likely due to an animation error.
Just like Gingka has similarities with Son Goku, Kyoya has parallels with Vegeta. Both started as antagonists before joining the protagonist group and becoming their main rivals. Both wish to defeat their strong rival, are very powerful and individualistic, have similar hairstyles, and come from important families (Vegeta is a royal, while Kyoya’s family owns a big company).
Kyoya also has similarities with Kenta Yumiya:
Both have green hair. Both use two of the most common Fusion Wheels (Rock and Flame).
They each only have two Beys, with one being an evolution due to their Legendary Blader status.
As part of the Four Seasons Legendary Bladers, they both represent a warm season (Spring and Summer).
They are the only two in this subgroup not to use driver; instead, they both use a gimmickless Track (130 and 230) and a variation of the Defense tip (WWD and WD).
Both have an important bond with Gingka and Benkei.
Both lost in Battle Bladers against a character using Dark Power after putting on an impressive performance.
They both became stronger after meeting Gingka.
Both participated in the selection stage but didn’t end up in Team Gan Gan Galaxy.
They went their own way in Metal Fury after temporarily joining Gingka's group.
Both use Beys based on the zodiac.
Both had a significant change of clothing in Metal Fury.
Kyoya is the only Legendary Blader of the Four Seasons to have a defense-type Bey and the only one with a unique type. Both Ryuga and Gingka have attack types, while Kenta and Chris both use stamina types.
In the manga, Kyoya had a less prominent role in Masters and Fury.
As Yu pointed out, Kyoya’s claim of being a "lone lion" isn’t very realistic since lions typically live in groups.
He is nicknamed "Tatekyo" (in Japanese) and "Yoyo" in the dub by Yu and later by Tithi as well.
He is the first major character we see as an infant and toddler, the only other being Tetsuya.
He had a small clash with Ian Garcia, who owns a Hercules-based Bey. In mythology, Hercules' first labor was to slay a lion.
When Kenta imagined his friends as sea creatures, he pictured Kyoya as a merman holding a trident. Ironically, in the movie, Kyoya battled Bakin and his Dark Poseidon, who is represented as a merman holding a trident.
Benkei revealed in Episode 6 of Masters that Kyoya really dislikes potatoes.
The character known as Captain Arrow from Zero G has the 145WB combo like Kyoya and can also produce wind, though Benkei states that it is nothing compared to the Lion Gale Force Wall.
Kyoya evolved his Bey at the same time as Gingka during their fight at the beginning of Metal Fury.

In the original bionicle story bible, there was a line about how it wasn’t going never meant to be specified whether bionicle was going to take place on earth or on an alien planet.
That was the sort of escapist fantasy that bionicle was going to provide.
Some series are too alien to provide this specific type of fantasy, some series are too grounded in reality to provide this type of experience (think Moana. It has actually humans in it, so it makes you feel like an outsider looking in.)
Moana and bionicle are both based on the same cultures, but bionicle provides this specific type of daydream more than Moana.
Bionicle makes you feel like a different race. (At least early bionicle)
Later bionicle is more typical of modern sci-fi. That’s ok, I like things like the transformers and Ben 10 and arcane and even the movie 9, but early bionicle and later bionicle have different fantasies attached to them.
Later bionicle is like beyblade, it’s more consumerist(that’s the same for most toys in the action genre, it’s not necessarily a bad thing), the commercials are more flashy, the rahi look less surreal and more beastly, the imagery gets less spiritual, but the toys are still fire! The story is still compelling, and the characters are still interesting.
Early bionicle had quieter commercials with less music and voice acting, the commercials were calming, though to some, that might make them boring, there was spiritual imagery used that made it seem remote, esoteric, and tantalizing.
The Toa Metru were like a modern superhero team, while the Toa Mata were like a bunch of grown up siblings that lived in different apartments and sort of hate each other but not really, and by the time they became the Toa Nuva, they (through character development) became a stronger team.
The metru are still cool though. Nokama has an excellent voice. Vakama’s arc is excellent, Matau is funny. They look cool together. Vakama fighting against the makuta was awesome.
I live in a boring town with geometric architecture, and early bionicle made me feel like I was not American, it made me feel like an island-lifer! It made me feel like I was livin’ on the edge. It made me feel special. It made me feel like a part of a different culture.
It being based on a real culture made it feel connected to real life, but since there was no humans and supernatural elements and sci-fi stuff, it was just disconnected from real life enough to feel comfortable for you to imagine yourself in without feeling out of place.
That’s why I was upset about the lawsuit threat and bionicle’s pivot into pure sci-fi, you just can’t get the same feeling from 2004 onward, and a lot of you out there don’t want that feeling or you find the search for that feeling to be actively harmful or “exoticism” or something.
Listen, it’s not fun to be Euro-American nowadays, I don’t enjoy it, and I’m mot proud of it, most medieval art looks terrible, most traditional European things/clothes/artwork look desaturated and dull, while artworks from other cultures look so much better. They have a better sense of color, sorry. This is just my opinion, I just like other styles.)
Please don’t judge me or unfollow me.
Is my search for this feeling harmful?

odysseus — backstory & bey

- odysseus art by ximena natzel -
- bey design by me -
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
💜 - odysseus is a hobbiest bey mechanic and often challenges his opponents under the pretense of the loser giving up their bey. as such, he has a vast collect of beys at his disposal that he’s slowly mastered and experimented with over the years, including his trojan horse bey that he won nationals with. he often switches which one he’ll battle with, depending on the opponent, but striking cyclops is one that he tends to default to.
🩵 - cyclops was originally owned by poseidon, a member of ‘the jury’ (a title given to the twelve greatest bladers in the world) and it was used in a competition where it defeated, and actually destroyed, the bey belonging to polites. odysseus, in response, challenged poseidon to an unofficial match that poseidon lost, thus requiring him to hand over his striking cyclops to the victor. since then, poseidon has been vying for another, much more official, match trying to get his prized bey back.
💜 - odysseus was technically deemed apart of the jury after he defeated athena in a competitive match. however, he rejected the title and quit beyblading soon after so his being a member is in spirit alone. his fans see him as one, but the bey world and most of the jury members don’t, and it’s a constant feud between the communities, made worse by his disappearance from competitive blading. this is why his match against poseidon, which happened after he quit, was unofficial.
🩵 - very few people actually know why he quit, with athena being one of them after she tracked him down to ask why he refused her spot in the jury. basically, “the trojan war” equivalent here was a series of competitions (leading up to nationals), with the end goal being a chance to challenge a jury member of your choice for their spot. odysseus had obviously won and chose athena, but prior to that he had to battle alongside the greatest bladers of their time. one of them being hector, who lost in the finals despite being a fan favorite and, on his way out, said that he battled for his family but that the time and commitment required of him lead him missing a lot of milestones for his son, astyanax. odysseus, who had a son and wife of his own, was shaken by this encounter and opted to put down blading so he could raise his son.
💜 - the choice to reject his membership to the jury was seen as highly controversial, especially given how beloved hector was by everyone and how odysseus’ choice to deny the jury’s spot was essentially screwing him over. in odysseus’ defense, however, it wasn’t him who defeated hector. it was actually achilles, who knocked him out before odysseus could actually fight him. odysseus actually finds all the vitriol towards him to be wildly unjustified since he wasn’t the one who defeated achilles either! not that it really matters since odysseus doesn’t interact with that part of the community anymore and focuses far more on his personal life.
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧

🩵 - with a thick multi-layer fusion wheel emulating a rocky terrain, striker cyclops is a heavy-weight defense type with a round performance tip that allows for a smoother glide across the stadium. with its weight, however, cyclops is not built for high maneuverability or drawn out endurance battles. still, cyclops is able to deter even the most determined of bey attacks with it’s clunky top.
💜 - despite being a defense type, cyclops is known for its incredible attack power as well. specifically, to cover its own weaknesses, cyclops’ energy layer comes with a flowering design that sticks up in the air, allowing it to hook on to its opponent and deal a mighty blow when launched at an extreme angle (further sacrificing endurance and control) or when beginning to wobble/lose stamina. this typically allows cyclops to take its opponents down with it, but the dual-ring forge disc with a round performance tip will often allow cyclops the ability to recover just enough for a survivor finish.
— bey art* design notes —
Disclaimer: this bey is based more on the burst generation of beys, but I just cram shit together until it looks cool so it has aspects of the metal saga generation of beys and, as such, I use a combination of terms from both generations. None of this is particularly accurate to IRL beys or anything you’d find competitively.
The fusion wheel (the metal part of the top layer—the grey) is based on Polyphemus’ cave. the energy layer (the plastic part of the top layer— the purple and red) is based on the lotus flower and I decided to go with purple because I thought it tied nicely with the red of the Cyclops Saga, the lotus eaters had purple/pink eyes, and I wanted it to be a reference to Odysseus’ purple cloak in the Odyssey.
The lotus flower “death blow” concept is based on Polyphemus’ club and how it’s used in both the Cyclops and Circe Saga as this final move it only uses as a last resort. At first, I was going to base this idea on Xcalius (Xander’s bey in beyblade burst) because it has a sword on its energy layer that sticks out to hit opponents.

But there wasn’t a great way to do that without basically making it shaped like a sword. So, then, I played with the idea of adding a spin track with lotus “petals” that would extend like the claws from Flame Sagittario (Kenta’s bey in the metal saga)—

(Not my picture.)
—which is why those purple layers are there beneath the fusion wheel. But I didn’t like that either because it didn’t make much sense for the lotus flower concept and I didn’t like the idea of having a bunch of small claws to represent the club strikes. It didn’t have the right feeling of a one-hit smash like i associate with the club.
In the end, I decided to turn those rings into a weighted section of the performance tip to balance the top heaviness of the upper half and put the lotus flower on top to represent both the club falling and the way Polyphemus wobbled and crashed when he ate the lotus fruit.
*please note that I am NOT very good at art and I know my proportions and perspectives are kind of wonky. these are mostly proof of concept, rather than anything super clean. if you combine my traditional sketch with the digital one, you’ll get something close to what I actually envision it looking like lolol

Ok but imagine,
The blitzkrieg boys as a goth vkei-ish core band. Tala used to be a solo singer but as he continued his journey, he met bryan, Spencer, Ian etc. And at one point, kai was in the band too. Most likely during the early days but for angsty reasons, they had a fallout and he just left 😔.
The song "Kuuchuu Buranko" by plastic tree gave me so much tala vibes, like imagine that being his top hit??? The vibe??? The spooky goth boy band???

DJINN EQUIP ✕ BIT-BEAST EQUIP ✓
I've been a long time Magi The Magic of Labyrinth fan, and one of my favourite things from the series was the ability of the dungeon capturers to be a vessel and embody their Djinns. From the very first time that I was introduced to the series years ago, I'd thought a lot about how the Equip feature actually suits the Beyblade universe well, it would be a cool way to show the connection between a Beyblader and their Bit-beast.
Thanks to whoever sent in this prompt, because I was finally able to gather the motivation to work on making a Takao-Seiryu fusion edit!
The original image used is from Magi Character Style sheets of Sinbad in his Baal Equip mode.

“Sir, the toy aisle is over there at that door, right next to the bathrooms.”
DRAMA - Hee hee hee! He doesn’t know that the door actually leads to the employee room! You’re a tricky little trickster, and you LOVE it.
MUGMART SHOPPER - Thank you, lad. It’s nice to see someone that isn’t afraid to talk to me, for once. He walks away, unaware of your devious deception.
INTERFACING - Now, to find your prize. The beyblade box stands tall on the shelf, but not tall enough for you to reach it and rip the box to shreds.
ENCYCLOPEDIA [Easy: Success] - Beyblade (ベイブレード, Beiburēdo, diminutive Bey, from the diminutive of beigoma) is a line of spinning-top toys originally developed by Takara, first released in Japan in July 1999, along with a related manga series. This beyblade in particular, the Beyblade X BX-00 Booster Dranzer Spiral 3-80T, is one of the rare blades from the original anime, aptly named “Beyblade” as well as the two sequel series, Beyblade: V-Force and Beyblade: G-Revolution, and the 2002 film Beyblade: The Movie - Fierce Battle.
INTERFACING - You can feel each crevice and corner on the beyblade. The texture seeps into your senses. It’s beautiful.

Hi! Since last year, I rewatch Beyblade original series and, God... I missed this series so MUCH!!!!
15 years ago, I created original characters about Bakuten Shoot Beyblade, but I never shared my babies... I left Beyblade many years before I started sharing my art on the internet, so... Plus, in France, the original Beyblade series was lost. Since 2006, I've never seen the episodes on TV again, and chances are the French recordings have been destroyed...
But I cherised this series in my heart all this time and never forgot it. And fortunately, I recently found episodes in VOSTFR!! Well, it was quite strange at the beginning, cuz I'm used to French voices (Kai's French voice, aaaah~ *blushes*)
SO! As I rewatch the series, I reworked on my little OCs ! :D I don't know if there are many active fans of Bakuten Shoot Beyblade here, but I want to share my babies~
I created a team of 5 beybladers, the Wild Children, and their coach. :) Unfortunately, I only have sketches about them, cuz I'm really busy IRL and I don't have much time to draw them properly... But it coming soon! :D
Each Beyblader has a Bit-Beast and I distinguish the Bey and the Sacred Beast's names. I'll design their Beasts later, but I share you links about the mythological creatures that inspired me..

Let begin with Wild Children's coach : Gaya Alvaro Munõz, Spanish, 25 yo (season 1), her Beyblade is Vodalux and her Beast, Akhlut.

Here's the Wild Children's leader : Kanae Asahi, Japanese, 14 yo (season 1), her Beyblade is Pyralux and her Beast, Zheng.

Here's Sasha Viktorovna Tsvetkova, Russian (half-Russian, Half-Japanese actually) 14 yo (season 1). I forgot the color but she has grey eyes and black hair. Her Beyblade is Fengalux and her Beast, Inari.

Here's Zoey Ross, American, 13 yo (season 1). Her Beyblade is Keralux and her Beast, Sanuwa (Cherokees' name of the Thunderbird).

Here's Joey Ross, American, Zoey's twin brother, 13 yo (season 1). He's blind from birth and even he has a Bey, he rarely figths (he prefers Bey's mechanic, as Chief lol). His Beyblade is Eralux and his Beast, Rassel (from Rasselbock, German's name of Jackalope).

And last but not least, here's Neil Makeba, South African, 15 yo (season 1). He's Zoey's crush (lol). His Beyblade is Romalux and his Beast, Emela (from Emela-Ntouka, a mythical African creature).
And Voilà!
I've really fun to create them and I hope you like them. Don't hesitate to give me a feedback. :) My English is quite bad (I'm using Deepl lol), but I'd love to share headcanons or just discuss about Bakuten Shoot Beyblade (I never seen the other Beyblade series).
See you!

Beyblade character design analysis: Kenta Yumiya
Masterpost here. Now let's take a look at Kenta, who somehow went from getting beaten up by the Face Hunters to gaining Ryuga's respect
Starting with the hair, it's green. This has nothing to do with his bey, but the green, and more specifically this shade, make Kenta stand out. The rest of Kenta's design is fairly generic, to the point where some actual background characters have more captivating designs (like Django), so the hair helps set him apart from someone like Osamu. Green is one of the lesser-used hair colors in mfb, and the characters with green hair all have a very dark shade (like Kyoya). Kenta is the exception, which catches our attention when the rest of his design doesn't
Kenta wears a yellow shirt with a blue stripe. The yellow-green-blue color scheme looks like the Brazilian flag (insert joke about the time the Garcias jumped Yu). The design itself is quite plain, but the colors are bright enough to make Kenta not seem like a background character. He's still a generic audience surrogate in design (and character, at least at the start), but without being too generic as to be mistaken for a background character
He lacks gloves or a visible belt, which are accessories used by most bladers. This makes his design seem more generic, and it's on purpose because almost everyone else has at least one of these 2. However, Kenta does have a belt that holds his launcher, which is just not seen very much. He is a strong blader, but doesn't seem like it at first
Kenta wears shorts. There's nothing I can really say about them other than they contribute to his child look (I mean, he is a child, but he looks way younger than almost everyone else)
His shoes are unremarkable, but unlike some other footwear, seems like something a real-life kid would wear, cementing Kenta's role as an audience surrogate for the first few episodes (though he grows out of it fairly quickly)
His hair in Fury is mostly the same, but altered slightly to be a little more detailed. This is still the same Kenta from the previous seasons, but he's older and more mature. He also becomes a lot more important to the plot in Fury. Despite having less screentime than in Fusion, his contributions are a lot bigger
His shirt gets a redesign. The new style makes him look older, which is the primary purpose. The blue stripe is also gone and instead we have a white, vertical stripe. With his redesign being more detailed in general, the blue stripe loses its purpose of making Kenta stand out as an important character. The white gives it just as much detail, if not more, but isn't as flashy. Plus, Flash Sagittario's facebolt has white in the center, unlike Flame's. Subtle foreshadowing maybe?
Kenta wears pants that are rolled up to look kinda like shorts. It makes him look older while retaining most elements from his original design. Despite how much Kenta grew over the course of the series, at his core he's still the same
His shoes are a little more detailed but still essentially the same. Not much I can say about them
