I think my favorite part about climate change is how we never used to get tornadoes where I live, but now we have warnings and actual touchdowns all the fucking time 🙃

#east tn #there's a warning in effect until 1am right now #the storm outside is very nice and i wish i didn't have to go to bed so i could enjoy it #i left food out for this poor stray cat stranded under my car. thing looked terrified. it had a collar but had clearly been out for a while.#and my cat is so scared of the thunder #between moving here in 2004 and 2020 we had one tornado warning with any real shit and it was just hail #from 2020 to present we've had like 6 warnings every spring and at least one touchdown within an hour of the city #summers are about the same #there are more each year #only one in almost 20 years and now 10+ per year. it's insane.
