Do you have any awesome small business product swaps that fully replace toxic crap made by giant corporations?! Arrowroot based, locally made body powder from my neighbor @akenehiproducts is an EXCELLENT replacement for toxic, cancer causing, Asbestos laden @jnj talcum based baby powder. Johnson & Johnson’s betrayal of their loyal customer base has time and again absolutely shaken the consumer trust relationship, yet they still remain among the most profitable corporations. Baby personal care products produced by Johnson & Johnson have knowingly included carcinogenic ingredients, they have paid out billions of dollars for many lawsuits because they have caused harm and death. This giant corporation cares only about their bottom line - your bottom shouldn’t risk it for their benefit! When you support a small business like Akenehi you support a family, who is also working hard to support your family with safe products. I LOVE this powder - it’s corn, talc, fragrance and essential oil free, for anyone with scent or chemical sensitivity. It’s completely safe and absolutely effective! It’s time that we take a look at the top money makers in this country and ask how they got there, what are their business practices, are they trustworthy, do they deserve our money; and seek humans over corporations to support. What you buy, where, matters. If you’d like to dive deeper into conversations like these I hope you’ll join our Private Facebook Group Beauty Justice. 👶 🛀🏽 🧼 . . . #followthemoney #toxicbeauty #betterbeauty #johnsonandjohnson #arrowrootpowder #akenehi #madeinny #hectorhandmade #safebabypowder #safeswaps #asbestosawareness #asbestosfree #johnsonandjohnsonasbestos #johnsonandjohnsonswap #betterisbetter #corporategreed #capitalismkills #shopsmall #beautyjustice #hectorny #sustainablecommunity #sustainablestyle #betterforbaby #safesolutions #greenliving #chemicalfreeliving #supportsmallbiz #smallbizswaps (at Themis and Thread) https://www.instagram.com/p/CERqglXjc24/?igshid=1lyw61fe30k17

SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGIES
There are many companies who accurately and successfully execute their social media strategies. For a company to successful use social media it is important to understand their audience and the uses for all different social media sites. After completing the hoot suite module for this week, I learned the importance of the content of social media strategies. Some of the examples are:
It is crucial to share great, relevant and valuable content to build relationships.
A well executed strategy can help achieve business objectives, lead generation and brand recognition.
The one company that comes to mind with excellent social media is Dove. Dove is a hair and skin products company. There social media presence is very in sync with today’s society and their target market. They do this through their YouTube, Twitter and Instagram. Dove has almost 200,000 followers on twitter and over 200,000 on Instagram. They are constantly building brand recognition and campaign publicity by using a distinctive hashtag in a majority of their posts. Some examples of the popular hashtags are #realbeauty and #mybeautymysay. Dove has a marketing campaign that is to establish a sense of “Real Beauty” instead of all the edited, unrealistic lack of body diversity. They have increased brand loyalty by 3.6% since the social media campaign began. For example, this YouTube video shown above encompasses individual beauty on their own terms and not by other people think is beautiful. This video alone has almost thirteen million views. They are using marketing that introduces a product that is way more then just another beauty product. It is using a product to influence a level of confidence and power within its customers. This social media strategy is so effective because it incorporates a message about self acceptance and self love that is important for our health and happiness. Dove uses videos and posts of all different types of women with all different backgrounds to appear to a wide audience. Their strategy allows for a customer or potential customer to relate and connect to the products.
Another company that has and executes a good social media strategy is Pampers. They do an excellent job at reaching their customers through social media platforms like twitter, Facebook and Pinterest. For example, they have ran campaigns that encourage customers to engage by posting pictures of their children. One thing that they do on social media that is very appealing to their customers is retweet various questions and answers regarding children. They have almost 160,000 followers on twitter and 17,000,000 followers on Facebook. Pampers has a popular hashtag as well that is #betterforbaby, which is devoted to promoting charity partnerships and helping other babies. They use social media to continue to launch new things and ideas which is part of their company timeline.
Both companies are strong in their social media presence which builds highly benefits their companies. Pampers successful utilizes different sites then Dove because of their intended audiences. It is very interesting to take notice of how much companies social media exposure differ. I think it is very important for a company to continue to grow on social media because our society relies heavily on technology for information and current news.

And now for a friendly game of diaper Tetris! I believe we are well over 2k diapers, more wipes than I can count and a myriad of other items that Beta Center noted they needed. My personal favorites? Reusable breast pads and breast milk storage bags galore! #lettucepray this rain stops when I drive over to drop off. #betterforbaby #ready4baby

I was up late last night with a beautiful spreadsheet while on the @Target website. Great discounts and gift card offers. So grateful to @pampersus and their #betterforbaby campaign that spurred on #ready4baby to benefit the Beta Center in Orlando! My head is spinning from the numbers but my heart is full. Now the only question is: how will I fit 2,000 diapers in my car?! #Give #giving #blessings
