Our hearts go out to all who were impacted by the torrential rainstorm and resulting flash floods caused by Tropical Depression Fred. Especially our Canton and Cruso communities who appear to have received the brunt of the storm and flooding. We know this is a difficult time for everyone. Remember that we are a strong and supportive community who will make it through these difficult times and continue to thrive. If you are missing an animal, we highly encourage you to post it on the Facebook group Finding My Way Home. Please also call the shelter at 828-456-5338, ext 7 to have your missing animal added to our lost and found list so we can be on the lookout for them as well. As resources become available for those in need, please feel free to comment and let those in our community know where they may find assistance. We can’t control the weather. And sometimes life gives us lemons. But let us all work together to turn those lemons into the best dang lemonade we can. We will rebuild. We will recreate. We will continue. Thank you all!! Stay Strong!! #haywoodcountyanimalshelter #newleashonlifeadoptioncenter #haywoodcountync #cantonnc #clydenc #waynesvillenc #maggievalleync #lakejunaluskanc #crusonc #bethelnc #tropicaldepressionfred #flashflood #sendingourlove #pigeonrivernc #cantonstrong #crusostrong #wewillrebuild #makelemonade #lifegivesyoulemons #emergencyshelter #weloveourcommunity (at Friends of Haywood County Animal Shelter) https://www.instagram.com/p/CSufamMpKVe/?utm_medium=tumblr
