A smile blooms without restraint, for once it is genuine. But how could he contain himself when Sunday keeps meeting his expectations. He's glad he's not broken. Lesser men would tumble and weep for their hard work crumbling, for their backs stabbed harshly to hide the truth, for their lives shaped in falsehood to be crushed by reality. He's glad they're of the same cloth, unwavering, unbending, in spite of it all, persevering. Maybe Sunday would fit with the Preservation, a senseless thought but one he still entertains. The halovian has the look of a misplaced ghost, a soul haunting the wrong body waiting for the time he can be released from the flesh. Being denied the entry to the dreampool must be weighting on him heavily. It's amusing to witness.

"Don't fret, luck may still be on your side." The Family isn't as harsh as the IPC, even with Sunday being the scapegoat, the chances of him just getting a slap on the wrist due to Robin and the Nameless intervention are so high, he hardly figures the notion of the opposite. But he can understand the thought, after all, Sunday's the one who grew up in such an environment. A false, idealized one, but still the very thing that shaped him to be what is today. Like a baby dove, he's still opening his eyes anew, only gazing at the world from the nest. Eventually, he hopes, he'll take flight.

"You're not wrong for wanting change." It's the most innate thing to humanity, to be restless, to be unsatisfied, to be hungry. The never ending urge to move forward, destroying the past if needed, using it's ruins to take a step higher than before. Sunday is no different, despite his role in the game, his aspirations are just the same as everyone, it's just his sight that is shorter.

"But you're changing the wrong thing." He glances at his wristwatch. Aventurine's not about to start an argument when his own time is so severely counted. Perhaps he should request some days off after the dust settles, there's still quite a hurdle before it happens, but having future plans is what solidifies his will. Just like Sunday, against all odds, he too will persist.

"Unfortunately my time is up." The Ranger should be almost figuring out where he went, although he had promised cooperation, disappearing momentarily isn't going to win him any favors, he still needs Boothill manageable even if for that he'll have to take the gun aimed to his head. He gets up slowly, fixing whatever folds and dents might have happened with this little stunt. He is somewhat stalling, almost reluctant to admit that he'd rather indulge in whatever cheap conversation they're having than returning to the status quo. But then again when will it be the next time he'll have the chance to play with a kindred soul. One who's just about to get his footing.

He's already by the door when he pauses. There's nothing owed between them, nothing left to be repaid, but still, he can give the other one last piece of advise.

"What you seek is not there. A fake world can only give fake answers." Try as he might, Sunday would have never gotten what he wanted in the end. Delusions do not make truth, and sweet dreams are meant to be just that, dreams. To be born, to live and to die under eternal ecstasy, is more hellish than existence itself. But who is he to tell him that, this is something Sunday has to learn by himself. What happens afterwards, well, that Aventurine is also trying to figure out.

"When you're ready to stop burying your head in the sand, call me." It wouldn't be him if he didn't throw one last gamble. For all he knows this could very much be the last time they interact. Even if by a sheer miracle Penacony retains it's status and all bad blood is washed between them, there's still nothing that would warrant them meeting again. Aventurine has his path, death awaits him with each step, one he is carefully nursing to greet him only at the right time. There's still so much he has to do. Sunday on the other hand, may as well be free, and if he were him, no, if he could wish something for him, he wouldn't want him to walk with the same person responsible for his downfall. Such a curse should only be for those blessed by destiny, those who can afford to get their hands dirty in the name of something selfish. Yet, he still extends the invite.

"I'm always looking for new friends." And with that, he leaves.

y/n was stretched out on the couch, wrapped in a cozy blanket with a strawberry-scented lip mask glossed over her lips, and a facemask on her face. It was one of those evenings where she could finally relax, and the masks felt like the perfect treat for herself-care night. Lucas had been busy all day, so she assumed he’d be tired and want to unwind, too.

But as soon as he walked into the living room and saw her curled up, his eyes went straight to her lips. He was used to her putting facemasks, but the shining material on her lips caught his attention.

“What’s on your lips?” he asked, dropping onto the couch beside her with a curious smirk.

“It’s a lip mask,” she explained, holding back a grin. “Strawberry-flavored too. It’s supposed to make them soft.”

The second she mentioned “strawberry-flavored,” his interest doubled. “So, can I taste it?”

“No,” she said with a laugh, pushing his shoulder lightly as he leaned in.

“Oh, come on,” he protested, his tone a mix of whiny and playful. “Just one kiss.”

She shook her head. “Lucas, it’s supposed to stay on. If you mess it up, I’ll have to start over!”

But he wasn’t one to be deterred. With a mischievous gleam in his eye, he leaned closer, puckering his lips in a dramatic show. y/n pulled back, covering her mouth with her hand as he tried to press a kiss on her lips.

“Not happening!” she laughed, dodging as he leaned forward again.

He huffed, crossing his arms in mock frustration, but the pout on his face was too cute. “You’re really going to deny me a kiss?” he teased, inching closer as she dodged yet again.

“Yup!” you replied, holding back another laugh. “Gotta let this lip mask work, remember?”

Lucas gave her a look, brows raised in playful disbelief. “Alright, that’s it,” he announced dramatically, his hands reaching to pull her close as he finally dropped the line. “I’m your boyfriend, and I demand you kiss me right now.”

y/n couldn’t stop the laugh that bubbled out of her, his mock-serious tone cracking her up. And before she could dodge again, he managed to plant a quick peck right on her lips, his grin widening as he pulled back, clearly pleased with himself.

“Mmm, it does taste like strawberries,” he murmured, his lips hovering over hers again. Before she could protest, he stole another quick kiss, savoring the taste of the lip mask. He brushed his thumb over her cheek, keeping her close as he pecked her lips over and over.

“Lucas!” she giggled, trying to push him back, though she wasn’t really trying that hard.

“Sorry, it’s too good,” he said, grinning as he snuck another kiss. “Maybe I’ll help you reapply it if I mess it up?”

y/n rolled her eyes, laughing at his persistence. “Yeah, right. You’d just kiss it off again.”

He shrugged, pulling her even closer until she was nestled against his chest. “Guess you’re right,” he admitted softly, pressing his lips to hers once more, this time slower, savoring the kiss. His eyes were warm as he pulled back, a little smile playing on his lips.

She sighed in mock exasperation, finally giving in and letting him wrap his arms around her. “Fine, if you insist on ruining my lip mask, I guess I can let you stay.”

“Perfect,” he whispered, pressing one last kiss to the tip of her nose. “That’s all I needed.”

With that, he settled beside her, pulling her into his arms as the two of them melted into a comfortable cuddle, his head resting gently against hers as he sighed contentedly.

Void success story!

Hello there, Barbie! Just came here to tell you that i got into the void last night, after I read your posts on How u got into the void and your success story, I got so motivated and said "just fuck everything I'm going tap in today" AND SO I DID! Let me tell you it was a amazing experience tbh. I knew about the void maybe 6 month ago ig and I had the wrong conception of it. I thought that's it's a magical place or something close to astral realm etc etc... But NO I was wrong!

Reader teams up with james (not rlly being scared of him since he looked pathetic) after realizing they have a similar goal, not leaving him a choice.

Anyway maybe they get separated after a few hours of their journey, and after finding each other they realize just how much they need the other. Maybe the town plays a part (since its kinda sentient) in pushing them together? Their similar goals, lonely life without their loved one, how they went to silent hill, etc, at the same time definitely not being a mere coincidence.

(Lil info ab her sister: they were driving to silent hill 3 years ago to visit the cemetery for their parents, but reader and sis got into a fight about turning back and reader basically swerved the steering wheel to the side and caused them to crush. Reader, not knowing what to do since her older sis made all her decisions for her, just ran away and left her dead sis in the car. This wrecked her with guilt, causinf the town to punish her just like james. They could bond through their shared guilt and experiences and whatnot.)

Back where it all started

This letter... It can't be right. She was taken 3 years ago.

But, this was the same town we crashed in. Did she manage to survive? I kept looking at the letter, rereading the whole this, looking for imperfects in the writing.

'This has to be a prank, right? A sick prank..' i thought to myself. But everything about the letter, it seems too perfect for another person to write.

This has to be her.

Even if it wasn't, it was too late to go back now. I stood next to the entrance of the hospital, the memories of this place is all crashing on top of me. I've lost my family here.

It took a couple of minutes for me to built up the courage to walk back in. The doors creaked as I walked it.

It was quiet, and abandoned. The doctors and nurses who took care of your family were no longer here. Almost like time just stopped

Papers were all over the floor and desk, the room is started to fill itself with mold. I walked towards the elevator seeing if the power still worked.

Nothing...

Luckily the stairs weren't broken. As I walked up the stairs, I could see a drawing.

A bunny and a wolf? It looks like a kid drew it. Why would a kid be here? Monster were lurking, the poor kid could get hurt.

Entering the 2nd floor I could here someone closing a door. "Whos there?!" I yelled out while holding my pipe I found outside. The man seem startled, and placed his hands up in defense.

There light was shining in my eyes but I could see it was someone human! "Oh I'm sorry! Thought you were a monster." I said while lowering my pipe down.

The man looked at you, up and down, almost surprised to see another human being. "Hey it's okay!" He paused for a second. "My name is James."

I kept staring at the note, trying to find a flaw or a similarity between the note. James must have noticed the other letter and me comparing them. He placed his arm around my shoulder, almost trying to comfort, "Some else also sent you a letter?" My daze was broken from his voice. "Yea... my sister sent it to me, but 3 year ago, she was..."

There was a long pause, I couldn't finish my sentence, It still hurts to think about it. James rubbed my back, trying his best to comfort me, I could feel the awkwardness from him.

but it still felt nice that he cared about me, someone who he just met. "Hey.." he turned me to face him with both his hands on my shoulder. "How about you stay with me until you find your sister, do you know any place where she might be?"

I thought about it for a second...

"There was this hotel! its across the lake, I remember my sister and I playing with bugs in the garden area." James looked perplexed for a second "The Lakeview hotel?" I nodded " That was my wife and I special place.."

He looked at his map, maybe to find a way to head to the hotel. "Come on, lets head to Rosewater park, maybe we can find a boat there." before I could question him, he grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the hospital.

"Ugh..." You groaned; rubbing your temples with both hands. Why was studying such a pain in the ass? Why am I even doing this to myself? You asked yourself; on the verge of despair. Right... Because my stupid ass wanted to become a teacher...

Reminding the words of your best friend - no pain, no gain - you took a deep breath and kept on going. You tried so hard to get the information of the various texts and formulas inside your head - but you couldn't. Your brain was already so stuffed full and fogged up, you couldn't do that anymore. It was like trying to squeeze your foot in a way too small shoe.

Impossible.

And hence, the stuff you had to learn for the exam wasn't even difficult! 'Just' some basic knowledge! You should know that already! But right now, you felt like you couldn't even calculate what was one plus one...

Another desperate groan left your lips. It didn't help. You needed to keep going. You had to.

Unbeknownst to you - yet, summoned the groan which left your lips your boyfriend, who was just down the hall in the living room; casually sitting on the sofa, reading. His ears literally perked up at the sound of his lover seemingly falling into despair. Closing his book shut, he stood up and made his way towards your little study.

Knocking gently on the door, "Darling?" Loki stepped cautiously inside - only to find you hunched over your desk; almost tearing your hair out. The god's eyebrows slanted. Seeing you like this caused his heart to ache - and he knew exactly what the problem was... "Darling..." He said once more; approaching you. "Y/N..." The moment his gentle hands touched your back; you flinched. You were so zoned out and lost inside the impossible task ahead, that you didn't even notice Loki.

"Shhh, my love, it's just me." You turned around in your chair to face him; forcing a smile on your face. "Hey..." You saw the look on his face, and before he could say something, you lunged forward to kiss him.

Then you quickly turned in your chair again and focused on the notes in front of you. Loki said nothing, just watched you 'work' for a few minutes. His gaze was critical. Something you didn't notice.

Suddenly you felt his hands on your back again, but this time, they were sliding lower; coming to rest on your hips. He leaned in closer; causing you to feel his warm, minty breath against the shell of your ear. "You need a break, darling. I can see that."

You immediately shook your head. "I can't, Lokes. I have to keep on studying. Unless, I won't pass the exam." Your boyfriend's eyebrow lifted - also something you weren't able to see, before he started to smile mischievously.

He leaned even closer; pressing his lean, but strong chest against your shoulder blades. He started to kiss and gently nip on the skin of your neck. You knew what he was trying now - and you tried with all your willpower to resist, but when Loki started to softly bite you, only to soothe the stinging pain with his cool tongue, your walls were crumbling down. You closed your eyes; fighting the urge to moan. "L-Loki, s-stop, I-" "Oh, no, no..." He interrupted you; grip tightening on your hips. "You're taking a break, darling. Now. I don't want you to have a breakdown. Come on." His words were stern, yet filled with love. He only wanted the best for you - and you knew it. So, you gave in. You would've given in anyway, if he'd have continued to kiss you like that...

Sighing with a nod, you turned around in the chair once more and let your boyfriend scoop you up into his arms.

Loki carried you out of the study and into the living room, where he let you down gently on the sofa. "I'll make you some tea, alright? You need to stay hydrated. That's very important - and like I know you, you haven't drunk enough water today." Your cheeks reddened softly. You gave him an apologetic smile; subtly telling him that he was right. The god just shook his head, "Oh my love..." before he disappeared into the kitchen.

About ten minutes later, he returned with a steaming cup of tea and a big glass of water. "Water to stay hydrated; tea for relaxation." He handed you the water first - which you gulped down within seconds. You definitely needed that. Placing the tea on the little table beside the sofa, Loki joined you. It was an invitation for you to immediately cuddle close against him. The god welcomed you with opened arms and a soft chuckle. "And you said you didn't want to take a break..." "Well... You never said that the break included cuddling with you..." You answered; while burying your face in his shoulder. "Study breaks always include cuddles." Loki argued; pulling you closer and pressing a kiss on your head. "Rest now, my love." And you did.

Just when you were on the verge of dozing off, the doorbell rang. "I'll get it." Loki immediately said; gently shoving you off of him and standing up. No five minutes later, he returned with two white boxes, causing your eyes to widen. "You ordered pizza?" Your boyfriend smiled; joining you once again. "Of course, I did, my love. You haven't eaten much today - and your body needs food to keep the energy up. Means in conclusion. No food, no concentration, and without concentration no studying." You dug immediately in the pizza; smiling brightly. "You're the best, baby. Thank you so much." "Anything for you, darling."

The cuddling resumed after the delicious meal you and Loki had - and it came how it had to come... You dozed off; slept in on Loki's comfortable chest - which caused you to wake up in a bit of panic, since you wanted to use way more of this day to study...

"Ohh fuck..." You cursed, as you looked on your watch. Your shifting and moving woke up the god as well, of course. "Darling, what-" "I wanted to take more time to learn and now we dozed off... It's almost 8 p.m!" You wanted to stand up, but Loki stopped. "Y/N... Don't panic, alright? We got this. I'll help you."

You frowned at his words. Help me? How? With a snap of his fingers appeared your notes in his lap. "Lay back down, my love. Get comfortable. Relax and just listen."

Loki knew how much you loved his voice. That was one reason why he always read to you. Now, he'd make use of this to help you study - and oh boy, nothing - absolutely nothing could've prepared you for this...

Your boyfriend cleared his throat and started to read your notes to you. "Einstein's theory of relativity is E equals mc squared." You blinked as soon as the formula had slipped past his lips. "This means that energy equals mass, times the speed of light... squared." Loki lowered his voice into an almost rough, husky tone, causing your whole body to sizzle. Never before had someone made math sound so sexy. It was obscenely erotic... And it was just the beginning...

"The Pythagorean equation is a squared plus b squared equals c squared. This means that for all right-angled triangles, the square on the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares on the other two sides." The god continued; watching from the corner of his eyes, how you shifted almost uncomfortably beside him. The way you squeezed your legs together didn't slip his notice either. He smirked. Just how he wanted.

Loki got the hint, of course and smiled smugly. "Ahh, I see. You are absolutely right, darling. We should definitely test your knowledge." "Mhh, we should. Ask me a question and I tell you the answer." "Glady," Loki purred; enjoying your touch so close to where he wished your hands to be.

"What's the formula for Einstein's theory of relativity?" You smiled; not stopping your hands from caressing his clothed thighs. "Easy. E equals mc squared." Loki nodded, before he had to suppress as small groan as your hands almost hit home. "Mhm...V-Very good, darling. N-Next question."

"What is the meaning of the Pythagorean equation?" You bit your lip again.
