Easy and Quick Online Office Furniture
Refurnishing your office can be made easy with the help of the Internet. There are many websites that provide a huge range of office storage items. You can find attractive online office furniture that mixes well with your other office decor, sitting comfortably at your workplace. The internet provides various options so that you can comfortably search for furniture and decor on your own. If you wish to purchase furniture for your office online then you will have to do thorough research about the company and its goodwill. If you fail to do so, you may come across a fraudulent company that may cheat you or you may end up paying for not only furniture but also the shipping costs.
Purchasing anything online is simple and it also saves a lot of time and energy. But it is necessary to take some time and do some research so that you are not cheated by malicious web users. You will have to take some time searching for online office furniture so that you can locate the best deal. It is never a good idea to rush into anything. If you wish to purchase an office desk or chair you must look for products according to your requirements and then do the comparison on the basis of size, style, color, comfort, the material used, and functionality.
There are some tips that will help you in making a selection of the right online office furniture supply stores.
Firstly, the office supplier must be updated in modern day technologies and they should offer free shipping to their customers. Lastly, these online supply stores must have a wide variety of furniture and accessories in their inventory from leading manufacturers.
During your research, you can jot down the details carefully on the notepad. You must prepare a note on each and every article needed for furnishing the office. This can help you when selecting the perfect office furnishings. The online stores have lesser overheads to cover as compared to the local or international supply stores. So the online supply stores provide you with the best furniture deals. The best thing about purchasing online office furniture is that you don't have to roam around and waste your energy searching for the best furniture. You just have to browse online for furniture supply stores from the comfort of your home.
From the research, you can find that there are a variety of items available in the store for everybody. You can easily search for the one which is according to your taste and at the same time locate furniture that blends well with the background of the office as well as another office decor. But if you really wish to save some money, you have to take some time and do some serious research. You should never rush and buy the first thing you see. Purchasing office furniture online is relatively easy in comparison to the tiring task of shopping at nearby stores. Be attentive as well as aware of the available range of products before you consider spending your hard-earned money.

Go to Asia with your family: Saturday night flight
My wife and I have been on a not-insignificant amount of flights since our daughter was born in 2020, including two long-haul trips to and from North America. People always ask how the flight is with kids, and the easy answer is that, for us at least, the flight has always been more or less okay. It's the totality of the experience - the getting to and through the airport, the managing of little kid emotions and energy levels through check-ins and security lines and baggage claims and cab rides, that really puts your various parenting thresholds to the test.
Like most other aspects of having children, if you do this enough, it becomes commonplace, unremarkable, part of your life. But it's always a big day, something to mentally prepare for and respect as the challenge of skills and wills that it is.
This is doubly true when traveling at night. Kids need routines - and parents need them too! Almost every other mama and papa I know gets excited for naptime and bedtime, because there's no amount of unconditional love that can make it less nice to finally have some time to yourself.
Traveling at night throws all that off. And if you can't control when you need to fly, it's just something you need to accept as part of the experience and do your best to manage.
A few days after arriving in Doha, we showed up at the airport for a 9pm departure to Karachi, ready for our first night flight with two kids. Read on below to see how it went.
Sun 8 Jan 2023
Doha > KarachiÂ
Arrived here in Karachi late last night after an airport/airplane experience that felt like another parenting gauntlet.
We made it to the gate in Doha for the final boarding call with minutes to spare â despite arriving to the airport nearly 2 1/2 hours early. First two visa-related delays and then some toddler-related delays accounted for much of our harrowing hustle to get on the plane. Â
The first delay was predictable enough. As Maya alternately charmed the airport staff, sat behind the check-in counter, and repeatedly tried to climb onto the luggage conveyor (all while wearing her bright red sunglasses inside the terminal - at night), the check-in agents noticed the one thing on Mayaâs Pakistani visa that we hoped they would overlook. Having been issued the visa one month before getting a new German childrenâs passport, the numbers on her visa and passport didnât match and that meant the visa was now also technically on an expired passport.
Supervisors were summoned, Zara explained the situation, and eventually after a phone call with an unnamed person in Karachi, we were cleared to fly. We were starting to get a bit nervous about time, but at this point I was still relatively relaxed. We walked up to a mostly empty immigration line, and despite my trauma after I had to physically prevent Maya from running through an empty immigration booth on the way into Qatar, she remained cute restless in the line and mostly stayed close to us. Fortunately she also held up well during the next obstacle â for some reason, it seems that in the previous customs drama, we were either never issued (or possibly werenât aware that we needed to take) paper visas along with our passport stamp. The absence of such visas required the agent stamping our passports on the way out to summon her supervisor, who after doing some things with his immigration computer was seemingly able to verify who we were and allow us to leave Qatar. But this, like the Pakistan visa mixup, took up additional valuable time.
We made it through security quickly and, with Maya still on a run of good airport behavior, I pointed out the duty free to Zara and we picked up a couple of bottles of alcohol for our friends in alcohol-restricted Pakistan. Unfortunately we learned the hard way that brightly lit airport shops with enticing signage are not a good place to take tired toddlers (why did I think this was a good idea?). Maya grabbed a bunch of different colored mentos off the shelf at the checkout counter and it was just really hard to handle her energy constructively while also being asked to take out my boarding pass at checkout, pay, and handle the adult side of this moment. When Maya ran away for the third time with a different bottle of mentos, I took it from her, picked her up, and wouldnât let her go back down until Zara finished paying. This, unsurprisingly, didnât go down well and the ensuing meltdown(s) slowed our progress through the terminal considerably. I canât say I handled it well but this is honestly one of those moments where I sometimes ask myself whether Iâm capable of doing any better in moments like this. What do you do when youâre trying to get a baby and a toddler through a busy airport and you have to try and stay calm and collected while managing the toddlerâs emotions, preventing said toddler from shoplifting, not losing something important, not losing the toddler or leaving her little brother somewhere, and trying to catch a flight all at the same time?
The internet parenting experts would advise leaving yourself more time at the airport so youâre not under as much pressure and can therefore be more relaxed and patient about all this. YeahâŠ. we tried that.
Eventually we did get on our plane and Maya actually was quite good again on the flight. She played quietly with her etch-a-sketch and even sat normally in her seat with the seatbelt fastened all the way through takeoff. Although itâs early days and there is only so much you can expect from a 2 1/2 year-old, she seems to at least tacitly understand her new role in the family, and respond to the occasion when called. One thing Iâve noticed is that when Camino is upset she almost always seems to try to make things easier on us by settling down, playing or even just sitting quietly, so we can attend to her brother. Iâve noticed this around the house when she will just sort of hang on one of our legs or play with her toys next to us while weâre trying to soothe Camino. On the way back from the airport when we arrived in Doha and Camino was crying in the taxi, she sat calmly with me and even tried to talk to her brother in his car seat - without any prompting from me. The way she says âdonât cry Caminoâ and âitâs okay buddyâ to him (imitating her parents) are so sweet and sincere.
The good news is that on our flight here Maya once again rose to the occasion. The bad news is that this meant her brother was having a really tough time, likely due to being overtired and not being able to fall asleep in the brightly lit plane interior. Heâs normally so relaxed and sweet and laid back that when heâs upset, itâs really hard sometimes to see. Apart from hunger, cold, and stomach cramps, the only other time he seems to get really mad is when itâs evening or nap time and he canât fall asleep. Once he starts screaming in those moments it can be quite difficult to settle him down, and the beginning of our flight was no different. After about a half hour of disapproving looks from other passengers (to which I was not prepared to respond with the same level of sass that I usually would), the young Pakistani student sitting next to me eventually asked if she could take him and settle him down. Her father had been one of the passengers staring at Camino and me, which was stressing me out, but after he had apparently asked his daughter in Urdu to ask me in English if she could help me, I wasn't really in a position to say no. And it worked.... for about 20 minutes or so, until the food came and we had to lay Camino down again on the empty seat between the young student and me. After he woke up on the seat and the cycle of screaming repeated itself, eventually Zara strapped him in the baby harness and had him fall asleep on her, which we both realized we probably should have just done to begin with.
Both children slept through the last 30 minutes or so of the flight as well as the entire process of getting off the plane and getting through the airport. This was a bit more difficult in Mayaâs case, as it involved me carrying her in a series of awkward lying positions as she contorted her body as if she were tossing and turning in a bed. Somehow in addition to balancing our 15 kg child I managed to lift our 25 kg suitcase onto the luggage rack with one hand while carrying her limp sleeping body in the other.
Emerging from the passengers only section into the sea of faces in the waiting area at Jinnah International Airport can be an overwhelming experience for anyone whoâs not used to it â so I can only imagine what could have been going through Mayaâs head as she awoke to the four of us stepping outside and being greeted by Ghani, the family driver of a close friend of Zara's, who took our luggage cart and led us to the car. All of a sudden Maya began to cry for what sounded like âMama!â - after a couple of minutes of reassuring her to no avail that Mama was right there, we realized that Maya was not crying for âMamaâ but rather âMamaâs suitcase!â, and all the rest of our luggage, being pushed away in front of her in the middle of the night by a man she didnât recognize wearing clothes sheâs not used to seeing. Ghani wears a blue Shalwar Kameez and had a head scarf on to make himself more recognizable to us. He was walking probably 10 paces ahead with all of our bags. Â
As soon as Zara and I both saw the situation from Mayaâs perspective we exchanged some knowing smiles and reassured Maya again that our suitcases were okay and that this nice man would be helping us to get to where weâre staying. Actually this was one of those moments of toddler despair that was really hard not to find funny. It made total sense that a groggy, confused 2 year-old might find this situation distressing. I could empathize and maybe even imagine a time where I felt similar as a smaller person.
The rest of the trip proceeded uneventfully as we exited the airport and drove the short distance on the highway and through quiet leafy streets to the house where weâre spending the next two weeks. We got inside, unpacked a few of the essential kid things hastily, and split up into two beds - Zara with Camino in one room, me curled up with Maya in the other. It was around 2:30 am local time by the time we went to sleep. We slept soundly until 11:00 in the morning the next day.
Maya has been excitedly saying âPakistan!â for weeks now ever since we told her all the places we were getting ready to visit on our trip. It seems like she understands on some innate level that this is an important place in our family, and that after 2-plus years sheâs now being clued in to something thatâs a part of her that she didnât know about before. Maybe Iâm just conjecturing my way inside her mind. But itâs interesting to see her experience this all as a toddler, while at the same time remembering how vivid and intense my own first impressions of Pakistan were as a 26 year-old. I can only imagine what kind of sensory stimulation baby Camino is getting when he points his 2 1/2 month gaze upward into the furthest reaches of the universe, and excitedly moves his limbs around with a big smile on his face and the street noise of Karachi playing in the background, as he did earlier this morning out on the terrace.
Traveling here with two small children is a new experience for both Zara and me â one that Iâm trying to absorb for myself while at the same time chasing it with an appreciation for the experience that Camino and Maya must be having. Even if they donât remember that they remember this trip when theyâre older, it will be deep inside them somewhere. Welcome to the world, kids.

What is the last dream you remember? (describe) I had a dream last night about being a cast member on Below Deck last night but I couldnât really tell you what happened exactly. I remember being in the water and being on a small-ish boat too.
What is something that you fear will happen to you in the future? (Also Why) Getting dementia or Alzheimers and well, for obvious reasons. Imagine forgetting who you are and how to do the most basic, everyday tasks. Describe the best day that you can remember? I donât really feel like describing it, but my wedding day for obvious reasons. Describe your worst day? I couldnât really pick out one day that was much worse than any other. I mean, obviously many of them felt horrific at the time, but looking back, nothing particularly stands out as being appalling, if that makes sense. When was the last time you had your heartbroken and how did you/are you dealing with it? When I broke up with Chris and the only solution was time, really. Iâm absolutely fine now but it did take a while to properly get over that fucked up mess of a relationship, lol.
Do you believe in love at first sight? Not in the slightest. How can you love someone you know nothing about? What are some of your favorite songs right now? When Life is Good Again - Dolly Parton. Supermarket Flowers - Ed Sheeran. Monday Flowers - Andrew McMahon. Pride - American Authors. Rockabye - Clean Banditl ft. Annemarie. Little Lady - Ed Sheeran ft. Mikiil Pane.
Do you have a good relationship with your parents? I have a great relationship with my mum - things with my dad are a bit more strained but itâs not a BAD relationship as such, we just have very different outlooks on life and it can cause some issues. When was the last time you cried and what made you cry? I canât remember the last time I cried. What would your best day look like? It really depends on my mood as to what I feel like doing each day, so I donât think I could actually describe an ideal day. Do you ever have reoccurring nightmares? Describe? No, not really. Who is the last person to text you and what were they talking about? Nobody has text me today - I think my last message was from Helen and she was saying thank you for looking after her cats for her. Do you have a hobby? What is it? Surveys, watching TV, shopping, horse riding. Name a fictional place you would like to go? Hogwarts. What job would you be terrible at? Working in an open-plan office where I was expected to chat and socialise all day long. Have you ever traveled outside of the country? Where? If not, where would you like to go if you could and why? Sure, plenty of times. Iâve been to a whole list of places - Scotland, Wales, Austria, France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Canada, Singapore, Italy, Belgium, Norway, Australia, Dubai, the UAE, Qatar and more. Do you like animals? Have pets? What kind? I love them - I have three cats and a dog. Name a subject you would like to study if you had time? Psychology. What criminal (dead or alive) would you like to sit down and talk to and why? I donât think Iâd have the balls to do that, to be honest, though maybe Aileen Wuornos as I find her case fascinating. Female serial killers are so rare and her childhood was so messed up that Iâm convinced itâs a case of nurture over nature. What are some small things that make your day better? Iâve had a good day so far, so I donât know. I hope the food shop arrives with no substitutions, I guess lol. If you are struggling with something right now, what is it? Iâm not really struggling as such, Iâm just tired from a really busy few weeks at work and I cannot wait for Friday lunchtime, lol. If you watch television what shows are your favorite? Lately, reality shows - I suppose because theyâre easy to watch and you donât need to think too much or pay too much attention. Do you believe in the death penalty? I donât believe it should exist, no. What is something you want to do but are scared of actually doing it? Hmm, nothing comes to mind. How old are you? I have just turned 33 years old. What job would you like to do if you could do anything? Iâm happy doing what I do for now. Name three things you would buy if you had the money to buy them? A new house, a van for work and a horse, lol. Are you in a relationship right now? If so, do you think itâs a healthy one? Yes and yes. (Follow up) If itâs unhealthy, what makes it that way? .... Would you ever date someone long distance? No. Been there, done that, never again. Itâs not for me. Name a person that you canât stand and tell us why? Nobody I have to see regularly or spend any significant amount of time with. What group do you hate the most on Tumblr and why? Well, I just follow survey blogs and if someone annoys me I just donât follow them or have anything to do with them. What would you like people to say about you at your funeral? Iâll be dead, so I canât say that Iâll care all that much. What is the meanest thing you have ever done to someone, and why? Oh, I donât know. Have you ever sent anon hate to someone? No. Are you addicted to anything and if you are what is it? Caffeine, for sure. What bad habits would you like to break? There isnât really anything though I suppose I wish that I wasnât so reliant on junk food when Iâm tired or down. Describe your perfect partner Iâm very happy with my husband and I donât feel like I need to describe him. What is a personality trait that you love about yourself? I like that Iâm good with animals, if thatâs a personality trait? Who is someone in your life that you can turn to when no one else understands? My husband. Do you believe in aliens? Definitely. The universe is way too big for us to be the only form of intelligent life out there, IMO. I think itâs pretty arrogant to assume weâre it, lol. What is the hardest lesson that you have ever learned? Never trust anyone completely. What mistake do you keep making over and over again? I donât really know. What do you hate about this website? The text editor is too basic but otherwise itâs fine. Itâs better than most of the alternatives out there, anyway. I suppose blogging just isnât as popular as it was. Do you judge people before you get to know them and why? Everyone does - itâs part of being human and our survival instinct. If you could have a video of one event in your life, what would the video be? Our wedding day. What drugs have you tried, and if none, would you try something? What? None and I have no interest in trying any of them, either. Do you have children? Or want them if you donât? No and Iâm still undecided on that front. If you could date a movie star, would you and who? None of them, thanks. People in the past were buried with things that were important to them, what would you be buried with? The ashes of my pets, probably my phone and laptop lol. What is something you are against, but find yourself doing anyway? I donât do things Iâm strongly against. What was the last photo that you took? It was of the dog in his drying coat, lol. What did you think was cool when you were younger? Ridiculously baggy trousers that dragged on the floor and soaked up water and meant you went around with soaking wet and freezing cold legs lol. Do you think you are a good person? Why or why not? For the most part, the same as everyone, really. What are your favorite lyrics from a song? "If you want rainbows, youâll get rainâ What language would you like to speak if you could? Chinese or Spanish. Who do you wish you could back into contact with and why did you stop in the first place? Linnet - we just grew apart, really. It was bound to happen but itâs still quite sad, we were so close as kids. Have you ever hit someone? Who and why? Yes, my ex in self-defence. What do you think they should teach in school that they donât Things like taxes, money and savings. And the importance of pensions.

What are the advantages of buying furniture online?
When choosing furniture, there are a lot of factors that go into buying them, whether it is for the home or for your office. Walking in and out of a lot of furniture stores in Qatar. Searching for the right piece of furniture will not only take away a lot of your time, but it is also tiring in so many ways. This is why it is best to buy furniture online in Dubai from Garnet furniture which has been in this industry for quite some time and holds the best quality furniture you can find anywhere. From among the many online furniture stores in Dubai, Garnet Furniture is the best in the business and if you are buying your furniture online (which you should), then look no further.
We understand that there are a lot of people, including companies, which are still hesitant about buying office furniture in Dubai, online. Let us give you these 7 reasons after which you will not hesitate to buy furniture online in Dubai.
Spoilt for choices:
Letâs say you are looking for office furniture in Dubai, there are a variety of options for you to choose from which will not be normally available for you to view if you were to do it in a physical store as the options might be less. Not only will you get a lot of furniture to choose from, these will also be of different design and style.
Shop hassle-free:
Probably one of the biggest advantages when it comes to shopping online is the fact that you donât have to take a lot of trouble before you choose the right furniture. There are filters for you to narrow down your options based on a plethora of features like style, design, facilities, colors, functionality, etc. Without having to step in to different stores, you can simply use the Internet and choose among the various online furniture stores in Dubai. Shop in your PJs, order anytime you are comfortable and get the furniture delivered at a time that is convenient for you.
Online reviews:
Since there are a lot of furniture stores, while you are also at the advantage of getting to choose one over another, sometimes you donât know if the store provides you value or not. This is where online furniture stores are a little different because the online space is covered with reviews of these stores. Before you decide to choose the online store, you can read the reviews about the store written by its customers. You can also get more information about any services the store provides with just a single phone call.
Offers and Discounts:
It is true that furniture that you get to buy from an online store is usually a lot cheaper since their business overheads is extremely low. This means that their operating costs are very low and this advantage is passed on to the customer. Apart from the costs being generally low, these online stores also offer a lot of discounts to its customers thus making the purchase of furniture online much more lucrative.
Do comparison shopping:
Another advantage that shopping online gives you are that you can compare the products and choices available on different platforms before you zero in on the furniture. Not only is it comparing products from a single website, you have a lot of online furniture stores that you can choose from. In fact, there are even comparison websites which pulls data from different online furniture stores using which you can easily compare the different products available. Here you can find the best deals that will be available for you based on the furniture that you are choosing.
Delivery:
Getting your products delivered home might be one of the biggest minuses when you buy from a physical store. Not only do they sometimes have exorbitant fees for delivery, but there are chances that they donât take responsibility for it either. But most online furniture stores not only offer delivery for free, they also offer end-to-end services and even help with pick up in case you want to send back the product. There is always a number to call to if you have any queries regarding the furniture.
Flexible payment options:
Most online stores offer a variety of payment options like Cash on Delivery, debit card, credit card, Net banking and so on. Such a wide array of choices means that it can cater to a lot of people who prefer different methods of payment. In fact, they also give you discounts if you use your debit or credit card to make the transaction.
Conclusion:
With all that said, the decision to use online shopping to buy furniture for your home or office is fraught with advantages for you. In this time and age, for a lot of purchases, it makes sense to buy it online. As one of the leading online furniture stores in Qatar, we can safely advice you to make the furniture buying for your home or office from us as we boast of having all the advantages we have mentioned above.

There have been so many instances of people receiving faulty products to going completely bankrupt after purchasing something eye-catching online. Sometimes it couldâve been avoided if youâd just read the product description but other times you might have to simply bang your head on the wall and lodge a police complaint. In this article, Iâll take you through the important points that you must remember and perform whenever youâre shopping online. If you follow these, you might avoid unnecessary troubles.
Shop at a Familiar Site
If youâre going to make a purchase online make sure that you are familiar with the site. You can ask someone who uses that site regularly. Nowadays there are many fraud sites for online shopping people order things online and sit waiting for day months without receiving what they ordered nor receiving their refund, this is why knowing your rights is the first thing you should do whenever you think of ordering online. If you are shopping from an online site other than the ones you normally use, make sure the site uses encryption and Check the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Certificate. From Safari Hypermarket the complete Online grocery Qatar You can buy things without any worries.
Make your cart for a day or two
Making kart in the online shopping is very trilling but make sure that you are addiong things in the kart is realy neccessory. Give yourself some breathing room to make sure itâs something that would add value to your life, and that youâll put it to good use. If, after 24 hours, it still feels right, then go for it. Whenever you order something online, take your time and carefully go through the product description (especially in the clothing section) and once youâre sure youâve got everything noted, order it.
Check Shipping Costs
Shipping costs can also vary depending on your location, the cost, the size, and the date you want your order delivered. Most companies have free shipping applied to bulk orders or to orders over a certain amount. This can be a good way to save money but can discourage consumers who want to simply buy one or two items. Online shopping from safari is best for "Home delivery grocery doha" becuase you will get your grocery in front of your home freshly and safely without any delivery charge.
Use Credit, Not Debit
Do you have a credit card? Use that for online purchases. It has spending limits and you can file for fraudulent charges, in case anything goes wrong. If you use a debit card for online purchases, it can get too easy for hackers to manipulate it and withdraw money directly from your bank. But if you use a Credit card, your banks can withhold the transaction and investigate the incident in case you complain about a fraud There are also temporary credit cards that are valid only for one-time purchases.
Thank you for your patience and for reading this before you made any serious errors those 4 points given above arenât all of it. In-fact there are tons of things you should keep in mind when purchasing online.

2020 Movie Odyssey
For those who are not aware, my âMovie Odysseyâ consists of all films that I have seen for the first time in their entirety. Rewatches do not count. What follows is a list of every film - feature- and short-length - that were a part of the 2020 edition of My Movie Odyssey.
A good many of these are MGM/Popeye short films that are shown on Turner Classic Movies (TCM) on Saturday. Other short films - including the Oscar-nominated short film packages shown in theaters every year before the Academy Awards - also appear. But I saw more features (124; defined as a film over forty minutes in length) than I did short films (97). With no Viet Film Fest this year and fewer obligations to watch recent releases, this yearâs Movie Odyssey skewed harder towards older movies than in a long time.
Iâm no longer as prolific as I may have been back in my undergrad days in watching movies, but I definitely saw my share of great, good, mediocre, and bad movies in 2020. Youâll notice that most of the 10/10 ratings are clumped near the beginning of the year - thereâs not a particular reason for that.
Thanks for being a part of the Movie Odyssey, everyone. Whether we saw a movie together in a theater (before they closed), you read a review of mine, or if we discussed a movie in some conversation anywhere, you have been part of this journey. I look forward to the 2021 iteration, and I hope itâs just as exciting - if not more - as this year was!

Travel Update #19 - Quarantine Day 11
Originally Posted on Friday 18th September 2020
Well I woke up today early yet againâŠ. I think I was awake before 3am, I definitely was out of bed by 3:30.
I feel pretty down again tooâŠ
I had a bit of a breakdown the other night. The stress, tiredness and missing a special someone from Germany got to me. I know Iâm not Superman but (unfortunately) I expect myself to have super human strength in these trying times...
These moments of despair are happening more often than in the past. I just donât realise how stressful it all is until it overwhelms me. I have to remind myself, to remind myself, that we did move (half way around the world) in a pandemic situation, with delayed flights, too many goodbyes (and so far not one hello) and quarantine go through.
It's been 6 months of constant worries... No wonder I'm loosin' it!!
I make sure that I have a lot to do here, I tend to deal with any of my issues by keeping busy. I donât ignore them as much as I find time helps, and the best way for me to pass the time, is to keep busy. But usually one needs motivation to keep busy, and that is lacking⊠I have to really force myself to focus on things⊠To be honest my âto doâ list is long, and I am overwhelmed by itâŠ
I know, I am my worst enemy⊠I'm working on it...
The 4 walls do creep in on you. My world has gotten so small, I am starting to worry about the outside world! Will I be able to just go shopping without anxiety attack?? What is ânormalâ life like these days? Has it changed a lot since they locked me in here? Questions to be answered in the futureâŠ
I am thankful for the phone calls and messages I receive each day. So much love and support, it really goes a long way to putting a smile on my face. Thank you.
Now, to change the subject, lets go back a few daysâŠ
Tuesday both breakfast and dinner were late!!! Shock!! Horror! ⊠Itâs those little things that matter the most these days⊠Alexanne was howlinâ for her dinner! She was Hangry!!! Usually our delivery comes later rather than early, but if we expect it latest 19:30, then 19:31 is not good enough! At least it made us laugh⊠Honestly the meals have been very good and varied⊠A little âheavyâ but I'm sure we'll loose the quarantine weight once we get out of here and can finally spend some time on the beach ;)
We got fresh sheets and towels!!!
I chose to have a bit of a lazy Wednesday⊠After receiving a bunch of phone calls (walking for hours in the bathroom as to not wake Alex), I took my first nap during the day since being in here⊠It felt like a bit of a Sunday. Relaxed⊠TV⊠some reading⊠But that was the night the anxiety and stress got the better of me⊠Maybe because I wasnât tired enough to just fall asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow⊠My mind was racing⊠The day started good, but it didnât end wellâŠ
It could have been the health check phone call or the daily police visit that messed me up⊠I mean, they call and you have to wake up⊠they knock and you have to wake up⊠Pretty unfair when youâre nappingâŠ!!! But in the end, theyâre just doing their job⊠Ever since the ârunnerâ the other week, the police come round to check your name off a list⊠Maybe itâs a government requirement⊠I do know the daily health phone calls by the nurses are a requirement, in an attempt to preempt any health issues⊠Yesterday I was offered sleeping tablets, but I can barely bring myself to take ibuprofen let alone sleeping pillsâŠ!!
Thursday, after the mess from the night before, I attacked the morning with focus and positivity. I peeled and ate a mandarin!! Shock!! Horror!!!
Like usual, I woke early, and I walked on the balcony most of the morning while listening to a live stream (Slapsteam). It was really cool to spend so much time outside. During the morning, I could see lots of folks down below leaving with their families or in taxiâs⊠I was a bit jealous, but we are over the hump⊠Not long to go now⊠Like usual, I took a few phone calls tooâŠ
Between the balcony, bathroom and the phone calls, I managed to walk 13 kilometres or 20,000 steps!!
The news that the Aussie caps would be lifted came in today. Itâs a step in the right direction 4,000 to 6,000 per week, but itâs not enough⊠Thereâs still too little being done to support stranded Aussies and to get them home⊠So much in house fighting and State and Federal Government playing the blame game⊠Itâs so hard to describe how this all feels, and unless you go through it, you really donât know how youâd react or feel⊠But I can tell you, Iâm very disappointed and saddened by my country turning itâs back on fellow AussiesâŠThereâs still no long term plan⊠and COVID is going to be here for a long timeâŠ
I wrote to the local Labor Senator Penny Wong and Health Minister Stephan Wade in my attempt to get access to the park outside the hotel. 3/4 of the hotel rooms donât have an opening window, and folks are suffering. Fresh air and direct sunlight are really important, especially in these times⊠I havenât heard backâŠ
Honestly the social media thing is wearing me down, and I am finding myself less and less online⊠Have you seen our stories on IG or FB?? I am posting less and less, because I just donât want to log in and read another heartbreaking and disappointing story. Nor do I want to read comments from folks whoâs opinion is very unsympathetic or understanding.
I did manage to focus enough on the Ukulele for an afternoon, figuring out a few songs I might be able to play if I go live on the weekend. I donât feel very confident, itâs definitely not my strongest instrument⊠The other problem is the timing, to allow Europeans and Aussies to watch⊠My initial thoughts are Saturday morning German time/Saturday evening Aussie time⊠Iâll keep you postedâŠ
We also got to vacuum the room on Thursday. Iâve never seen Alex so happy to have âHenry" in her hands! ;)
Qatar sent me a refund for the 30/09 flight we canceled (after boarding the Singapore flight)⊠At least thatâs a little less financial worry we haveâŠ
Alright, so that brings us to this morning, 6:30am Friday morning⊠After my little cry this morning, I began writing, now the sun is starting to rise, and I hope that today will feel better than those last few down moments Iâve had recentlyâŠ
Writing down my experiences here has been therapeutic for me⊠I usually write songs about whatâs going onâŠ. Story telling taking on a new form⊠Always good to try something new...
I appreciate your comments and messages⊠Thank you everyoneâŠ
Stay safe

Everything about Contemporary Office Furniture
Individuals who spend a great amount of time in an office know that even the smallest things affect the productivity of the organization. The manner in which an individual act depends on his surroundings. People always change according to their environment or surroundings. A pleasant office environment can help you in increasing productivity. Contemporary office furniture looks trendy and stylish and at the same time, it is very comfortable. In its comfort, you can work efficiently. So if you are looking to refurbish your office, then contemporary furnishings should be considered. Contemporary furniture is stylish and at the same time, it provides comfort to you and thus keeps you energized for the entire day.
There are various methods for finding contemporary furnishings. There are various furniture outlets as well as online supply stores that can provide you with the best furniture. When you go out to purchase contemporary furniture it is essential that you have thought about the company's character and its working schedule. For instance, if your company deals with software and website development then it would be good to have comfortable stylish furniture that always gives a special feel and also help deliver top performance.
Contemporary office furniture is available in many different colors, shapes, sizes, and different varieties of patterns. Whatever your contemporary office need is, you will be sure to find them. Once you have jotted down the office measurements and have also decided what you wish to purchase, then it is time to search for the actual samples in a store.
Before you go, the very first thing you need to do is to measure your space and note down your required list of articles and also set your budget. You can also note down the addresses of the office supply stores, color, and style of required furniture. The list of furniture is necessary because you won't want to purchase the first thing that you see. If you purchase the first thing that you see and in the next store you see something better, you will always have regret. When you are looking for contemporary office furniture, it is better to save yourself from impulsive purchasing. Shopping for furniture can be tiring but at the same, it can be fun and an existing experience.
In today's trendy world, no one prefers bulky traditional wood patterns. With the change in trend, style, and culture of the office, we all have taken a liking to the sleek, stylish, and trendy look of contemporary office furniture instead of bulky traditional office furniture. Contemporary or modern furniture is set apart by the sleek lines, lighter woods, and little ornamentation; they are also enhanced by metal accessories and glass panels. Office Desks and chairs are the most important part of an office. For the conference room or board room, a bigger table is required along with comfortable matching chairs for the executive board members of the company. For an executive office, there should be a desk, a plush chair, 2 other chairs for clients and customers, and a cabinet with several drawers.

Working from home: How to use lighting to be extra productive
When youâre working from home youâll often observe that the mild isnât quite right. Thatâs due to the fact we generally pick out our domestic lighting fixtures for non-work matters: lounging in the lounge, chatting over the dinner desk and so on. That isnât continually useful while you want to observe details or if the corner wherein youâve positioned a desk is so dark you mayât locate the mouse.
Best workplace chairs
Best 4K monitors
Best webcams
Best keyboards
Good lighting is surely crucial for working from domestic, because with out it youâre much more likely to revel in eye pressure, tiredness and even headaches. The trick is to locate lighting that not handiest works for work, but that works the relaxation of the time too. The appropriate news is that there are plenty of options for each kind of paintings and every form of domestic.
LET THERE BE LIGHT The first sort of light to take into account is daylight. Multiple studies document that folks that work in places of work with daytime feel much less tired and suffer much less eye strain and headaches than folks that work completely in artificial mild.
If itâs viable to work from a chunk of your house with desirable natural mild, you should. Just watch out for having an excessive amount of of an excellent thing, especially in the summer: glare from the sun or reflections from sunlit partitions could make your display tougher to read, so role your desk with that in mind.
THE RIGHT KIND OF LIGHT
Of path it isnât sunny all day or every day, and that means youâll want to think about artificial mild too. That falls into two awesome camps: challenge lights, which is lighting fixtures for getting unique things done, and ambient lighting fixtures, which units the mood of your room.
For both forms of lighting fixtures, LED lighting are your friend. Theyâre not just extra electricity efficient than halogen bulbs; theyâre also smaller and are available in many more alternatives. There are small, bendy lamps that clip to a table and regulate to get the light anywhere you want it; ring lighting fixtures designed to make you look higher in video calls; the classic Anglepoise lamp, a layout icon now powered by LEDs; and inevitably, a hugely highly-priced Dyson
SOME LIKE IT HOT White LED bulbs may be offered in two styles of white: cool white and warm white. The former has a slight blue tint to it â itâs just like the white LEDs in automobile headlights and public spaces â and itâs true for obligations that need very clear lights, even as heat white is extra yellow and towards old-school incandescent bulbs. We find cool white to be a bit stark and every now and then pretty tiring; for us, warm white is the higher alternative for working from domestic. Some bulbs or lights with integrated LEDs donât make you choose, allowing you to interchange from cool white to heat white or a blend of the two.
One of the most flexible type of bulbs is the clever bulb. Philips is the marketplace leader with its Hue range, however rivals inclusive of Hive and Ikeaâs Tradfri bulbs are top alternatives too.
Best smart bulbs
Best cheap Philips Hue deals
The apps allow you to alter the brightness of every bulb and in the case of coloured ones, the coloration too â so that you might alternate your bulbs from warm white for work to something extra thrilling when youâre completed for the day.
You can save light ârecipesâ for your favored settings, and you may even automate matters â so for example you can get Hue to turn your lighting on at particular times, wake you up within the morning or switch on whilst youâre coming back from the shops, or you could get Amazonâs Alexa to change the lighting fixtures scheme with a voice command.
The accurate information is that you donât necessarily want to buy new lighting to gain from smart lights, due to the fact there are bulbs to suit all the usual sizes. Philips is especially good at this, with a selection that now consists of halogen-style filament bulbs for retro effects, candle bulbs for genuinely small mild fittings and GU10 bulbs for downlighters and spotlights.

Female Fashion Trends in Gulf Countries
There are a few styles that one can never become burnt tired of, and sarees can be viewed as one of the confided in staples in most Indian wear wardrobes.Indian ladies all around the globe love to wear an elegantly weaved saree, French Chantilly lace sarees, or French chiffon sarees for its staggering and dignified look. Be it a terrific grand cocktail party or a little festival at a companion's place, a perfect saree works for different events. So next time you need to stagger at a gathering, enjoy a reprieve from your LBD and give these wonderful sarees a possibility. On the off chance that one class is unfailingly immortal, it is the printed dress. Regardless of whether you worship the floral theme, won't abandon polka dabs, need to attempt the creature print pattern that is gradually assuming control over, sufficiently insane to deal with particular plans or to a greater degree an exemplary stripes individual, dresses in punchy designs are a certain fire approach to increase your closet for any season. The excellence of these apparel things is that you can (no ifs, and or buts) depend on tossing on a cool dress and considering it daily. You'll look stunningly set up without the issue of outfit arranging. Yearly fashion sales in the Middle East's Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets add up to $50 billion, mirroring the locale's huge financial related clout. Spending in some GCC nations is among the most elevated on a for every capita premise all-inclusive, coming to roughly $500 and $1,600 per individual in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) separately. Dubai is the regionâs shopping capital, however, different markets are developing quickly, with Saudi Arabia having a spot at the top table.
Female Fashion Trends in Gulf CountriesÂ
In case you're asking what trends will be governing in 2020, it might appear to be hard to bring you everything that is in style & fashion. We've been giving close consideration to what's controlling the runways in recent times, and what you can be sure of is that the absolute greatest patterns to come will all revive your closet with characteristic or style, and they aren't difficult to pull off.
Additionally, in the back of your wardrobe, you may have a mystery stash: a heap of garments you love, however, that doesnât exactly fit. Indeed, even luxury dresses can be ruined by sick-fitting shoulders, decrepit shapes, free lashes, expanding shirts and swelling belts. Luckily, there is an answer to that: get your Carma garments specially designed to flawlessness.
More and more women are insisting on having their clothes tailored instead of opting for readymade ones. And by tailored we are not just referring to the stitching. From picking the fabric to the designs, patchwork, and embroidery, you can bring your vision to life.
An ever-increasing number of ladies are demanding to have their garments custom-made as opposed to settling on readymade ones. What's more, by readymade we are not simply alluding to the sewing. From picking the texture to the plans, interwoven and weaving, you can breathe life into your vision.
Gulf countries like Saudia Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar & Kuwait & Bahrain are the consumers of fashion designer dresses in the Gulf. Here are trendy fashion dresses for Women in Gulf Countries.
Lovely in lace
In case you're feeling that lace is a fabric held for just wedding outfits and perpetual modest young lady go-to dresses, reconsider. With the correct instruments and styling, a Carma pretty lace dress can go from honestly sweet to resistant fiery in almost no time level.
This fabric is staging a comeback, showing up on everything from sleek day dresses to elegant evening gowns. Even a simple design in lace or embroidered tulle can create unimaginable magic. You can use muted colors for semi-formal occasions and brighter ones for casual settings and youâre ready to ace the show!
Sensual SequinsÂ
Have we at any point gone over when sequins weren't on trend? We don't think so. They were so common finally year's runway shows that we can't disregard them, and we hear that they will be large this year as well!
For exceptionally long, we've all things considered confined our sparkiest groups for unique days - birthday events, weddings, bubbly events, New Year's eves and after dull soirees as it were. We're presently welcomed (actually) urged to release them on whenever and anyplace. Presented in unlimited manifestations, you can decide on a delicately beaded style for nuance or go blindingly fabulous. There's no denying you'll stick out.
Passionate Prints
On the off chance that one class is unfailingly immortal, it is the printed dress. Regardless of whether you worship the floral theme, won't abandon polka dabs, need to attempt the creature print pattern that is gradually assuming control over, sufficiently insane to deal with particular plans or to a greater degree an exemplary stripes individual, dresses in punchy designs are a certain fire approach to increase your closet for any season.Â
The excellence of these apparel things is that you can (no ifs, ands or buts) depend on tossing on a cool dress and considering it daily. You'll look stunningly set up without the issue of outfit arranging.
Fabulous Fabrics
You may not be a superstar, however, your closet could generally do with staggering dresses, for those additional unique events.Â
Forget spending a fortune on dresses motivated by what celebrities wear. With a smidgen of the creative mind, you can get your own dress made to flawlessness. At times, getting a fantasy outfit is troublesome - possibly the fit isn't perfect, perhaps the print isn't in the most complimenting hues for your skin tone, or possibly the fabric doesn't work for you. The ideal dress begins with the ideal texture, and when you make your own, you can pick precisely what is best for you.
Fun with frills
Female and, whenever styled the correct way, wild â the extravagant ruffles pattern is set to rise above its in-vogue status and edging its approach to turn into a closet staple. On the off chance that your closet as of now gloats of frilly dresses, sleeves, and trims, at that point you're set during the current year.Â
Ruffles have the ability to lift the humblest of pieces, in this way changing the plainest of outfits. Regardless of whether it's a little lace down a skirt fix or a capriciously flounce neckline springing up out of a dress, ruffles are peculiar yet solid. What's more, when you need something to take you from your work area to a night out, they're the perfect call.
Stun in Sarees
There are a few styles that one can never become burnt tired of, and sarees can be viewed as one of the confided in staples in most Indian wear wardrobes.
Indian ladies all around the globe love to wear an elegantly weaved saree, French Chantilly lace sarees, or French chiffon sarees for its staggering and dignified look. Be it a terrific grand cocktail party or a little festival at a companion's place, a perfect saree works for different events. So next time you need to stagger at a gathering, enjoy a reprieve from your LBD and give these wonderful sarees a possibility.

Hot and Humid
Ho Hoan Kiem - Hanoi
I have been told that I can find Tai Chi groups around Hoan Kiem lake, so I get up little after five and head to the lake. The streets are crowded with people. Â Some are running, walking, practicing qigong, some form of Tai Chi, yoga, sports and various types of dance. And they do everything as spontaneously as children. Â Even at this early hour, it's hot and humid, but people laugh and talk as they exercise, pausing and restarting, unencumbered by time or any other restrictions. There are some well-organized groups, in which participants wear the same color t-shirts and follow an instructor. Â I'm happy just walking around and watching the people. Â After a while, I go back to the hotel, for some much needed time in the air-conditioned room and breakfast. Â Â I'm not staying at the cheapest hotel. Â When booking a hotel I'm always tempted to go for the lowest prices but fear of unclean sheets and bedroom prevents me from doing that. The reason I decided on The Artisan is that, a) it came with the indication from my trusted friend and contact in Vietnam; b) they offer free wi-fi -- I later found that pretty much all hotels offer wi-fi in Vietnam; c) free breakfast and d) I like the name. Â Early next morning I go down to the cafe, which is located right beside the hotel. Â You enter this small room and take the stairs to the second floor where there's a good-sized room with about eight tables. Â The walls are painted with big, colorful flowers, and in the middle, the room dips about one foot, where there's a table surrounded by sofas. It also has wi-fi. Â I could live here!
View from the balcony - The Artisan Cafe
The best part, though, is the balcony overlooking the street below. Â However, if the customer wants air conditioning, and that's the most popular option, she'll stay inside. Â As soon as I come in the English-speaking waitress takes my voucher and asks if I want noodle soup. Â I decline, as I find the weather too hot for soup. The breakfast itself is buffet-style. Â I start with a plate of fruits; watermelon, pineapple, mango, and passion fruit. Â For the second course, I have rice, noodles, vegetables, and salad. Â My third course is comprised of pancakes, toast, some munchkin-like pastry, and lots of English tea. Â My sleep schedule is a mess. Â I feel and look tired (as pictures will show) but not really interested in sleeping. Â I do some writing and communicating with family and friends, then leave again to look for the postal agency my friend showed me the day before. Â I find it without a problem and send a postal card to my friend who's celebrating her 65th birthday. Â Actually, I just want the card to be stamped on her birthday, for even if it could get to the U.S. instantly, it wouldn't find her home, as she is celebrating her birthday with a little loop around the world. Â She's doing a rather cool thing in which she will stay in Perth until the second of June, then fly to an island, arriving there on the morning of June second, because of the different time zone. Â She shrugs and says, "oh, well, you're only 65 once." Â I tell her, "Well, in your case, you're 65 twice!" She laughs and says it wasn't planned, it just happened this way. Â Once I send her the postal card, I decide to explore. Â I go in direction of the Opera House and have the bright idea to walk around it and come back via the same street. Â Well, it doesn't work quite this way, since there are a couple of buildings behind the Opera House, and what seemed to be a great idea turns out to be a problem, because I end up on a busy and dusty street I have never seen before. It's is also not a pleasant street. Â There are people on the sidewalk, fixing stuff, eating, playing checkers, all in shorts and no shirts, sweating like me. Â I have the map in my bag but I'm too hot and impatient to stop and open it under the burning sun. Â I decide to keep walking since I know the general direction of the lake and if I find the lake, I have no problem finding the hotel. Â All I need is to turn right on the next street. Â But no street opens to the right here. Â I walk and walk, hoping that going forward will be more effective than turning around. Â Besides, I wanted to see new stuff, so why go back? Â The problem is that the sun and humidity are doing a number on my well-being. Â It's 104 degrees, but it feels like 117, according to the weather app on my phone. Â I haven't slept well in days and I feel my blood pressure going down. I keep walking. Â Finally, there's the option to turn right and I take it. Â And after a while, I take another right, which should take me back to the Opera House. Â On this street, I see quite a few official-looking buildings. Â As Vietnam's capital, Hanoi is the seat of governmental offices, which means that, as you walk around the city, you see a number of official buildings. Â Government offices and embassies abound. Â Qatar, Cambodia, India, Laos... it would be hard to avoid them. Â Some of these buildings have a short description in French or English, but most of them I can only guess what they're about. Â In front of these buildings, young guards dressed in green uniforms stand under a large umbrella, which protects them from the sun but not from the heat or humidity. Â Some also have a fan, which makes walking by them rather pleasant. Â They're serious but polite, giving me a little nod as I pass. Â I finally see the Opera House in all its splendor, cool even in this heat, and take the decorated street toward the lake. Â
The Opera House - HanoiÂ
By the time I arrive at the hotel I'm feeling faint and I'm sure I'm having a sunstroke. Â I drink water, take a shower and a long nap, which completely restore me to my normal healthy self. Â My stomach wakes me up around 10 p.m. Â My last meal was breakfast around 9 a.m. I don't need much, I tell myself, but I need something to eat, preferably something salty, like pretzels, that will go well with the Tiger beer in the fridge, courtesy (for a small fee) of The Artisan. Â I go out, thinking all I'll find open at this hour is a vending machine. Wrong! New York City never sleeps? Â Hanoi doesn't know the meaning of the word. Â I'm starting to think that there are much more residents here than what I can see on the streets. Â I have noticed that the people at five a.m. are older than the people at midnight. Â Don't get me wrong, there are people of all ages, ancient to newborn and everything in between, on the streets at all times, but I think they have a system in place in which they take turns. Â Maybe they have a schedule and a curfew, which would make sense because God knows the streets are already crowded as it is. Â I can imagine Hanoians talking, "so, what's your time to be out?" "Eight to 20:00, and you?" "This year I got 5 to 18:00 because I turned 55." Â For all the Vietnamese I understand, they might as well be talking about their "out-time". Hanoians love the streets. Â In the U.S. everybody rushes around so that they can go back to the comfort of their homes sooner. Â Perhaps our American streets are not as welcoming as they are here. Â American streets are definitely cleaner but that alone does not hold people outside. Â Every Friday night the city closes the streets around Ho Hoan Kiem to traffic, so that people can freely walk, perform and play. There are people playing all kinds of instruments, artists drawing people's portraits, sellers offering just about everything, teenagers having jump-rope competition, people of all ages dancing, exercising, talking to friends. Â Let me tell you about the ubiquitous plastic stool in Hanoi. Â They are on every sidewalk, in every park, in churches, restaurants and wherever people gather. Â They are usually blue or red, a little over a foot tall, and pretty resistant. Hanoi is a very active city. Â Even the fact that the main transportation is motorbike attest to that. Â People are always on the go. Â While riding, their feet are not far from the ground and they often push the motorbike when arriving or leaving a place. Â Were they not as active and fit, these plastic stools would not be as popular. Â Many Americans I know would not attempt to sit on one of these stools. They are about a foot high, so the person is almost squatting, but not quite. Â If you have knee or hip problems or are overweight, sitting on a stool like that would be torture. For the Hanoian, though, they are a convenient place to sit while eating a meal, having a drink with friends, or playing checkers, all of which they do on the sidewalks. Hanoi is famous for its street food as it is fresh, tasty, inexpensive and readily available. Â At the place where I bought the spring rolls, they didn't speak much English. Â Most Hanoians, especially merchants, know basic English and when they don't, they are pretty good at understanding pointing, head-shakes, and nods. I can haggle about price, even when they don't speak a word of English. Â At that shop, I was not concerned about price, which was fair enough, but I need to convey to them that I am vegan, and therefore wanted no meat or eggs in my food. Â They nodded quickly -- a merchant will rarely say they don't understand or don't have what you're looking for. Â As Vietnamese, they want to help you, and as merchants, they want to make a sale. Â I ask that my food be packed to go and leave. Â The spring rolls are good, except for the thin strip of ham I have to take out from each one. Oh, well!
