Hi imane so glad ure coming to MY again!!! In addition to prev anon’s suggestion of halalfoodiemy on insta, u can also look up klfoodie, jomkita, ezlokal (more local, hole in the wall gems), malaysiafoodandtravel all on insta! You’ll find some really nice gems if u dig deep enough 🤠there’s also state-specific accs like penangfoodie or johorfoodie if youre spending time out of klang valley. Hope this can help u enjoy the wonderful foods of malaysia!!!
hiiii angel! oh god it's good that i just had a fat shawarma bc i know just by clicking on all of these pages that it would've made me sooo hungry. I'm gonna go dig and add places on google maps! I'm also headed to Langkawi after KL and then Singapore inshAllah, my SG map is already full to the brim of places to go try but if you've ever been to Langkawi and have some recommendations, I'd love that! The one place I really wanted to go to (Nina café) is marked as temporarily closed so now I'm nursing a broken heart because it was really the best nasi lemak I've ever eaten in my whole entire life... I cannot wait to fully experience all that MY has to offer on the culinary front, my first trip there last year felt like a missed opportunity bc this one agent of chaos joined my bestie and me and not only got on my nerves on a personal level but also nothing was to her taste smh she was always complaining about the food i truly cannot imagine having such an underdeveloped palate and such shit taste but anyway. this is a revenge trip!! i really do have a list of all the foods I have to try on this trip so I will keep you updated!

What was the last thing you posted on a Instagram? A photo of a plate of corndogs that my dad made me. Welp, I had planned to come up with one of those one-photo-a-day-for-a-year for 2020, but that plan is obviously ruined given the current situation. I tried keeping it up during the quarantine but everything has just been so fucking monotonous I’ve failed to update it since April 4th. Do you consider yourself a nature person? I do. I know I am, but I just haven’t been submerged in a lot of nature-y experiences yet. Like I’ve never legit camped in the middle of nowhere or climbed a mountain before, but I’m always willing to do those kinds of things. What kind of collection would you like to start? Wrestling memorabilia. I’ve always wanted to start collecting DVD sets, figures, and belts, and I hope I get to keep that goal up once I start earning my own money :) What helps you take your mind off your problems? SURVEYS, for suuure. The more problems I have, the more I take lol. YouTube videos also help and it’s my go-to website whenever I’m not feeling perfect. And hugging my dog. Who do you miss, if anyone? Been missing Gabie since March and it’s only gotten worse since.
What do you miss, if anything? Normalcy. I really hate how much I’ve had to adjust and even give up/miss out on because of the virus, like an eventful final semester in college or actually doing on-ground work for my thesis. I miss being stuck in traffic and getting shawarma with Laurice and regularly seeing protests on campus and everything else that came with university life. Do you prefer to live alone or live in a family? I would love to live with a roommate or two – basically, people who have vastly different backgrounds than I do that I could share stories and experiences with. This lockdown has made me realize that I don’t want to live with my family for long; and I feel like I’d eventually lose it if I lived alone so both of your options seem unattractive. What states have you visited, that you remember? None of them. What countries have you visited? China, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. What countries do you want to visit? Thailand, Vietnam, India, Turkey, and Morocco. What states would you most like to visit? New York, Illinois, Utah, Colorado, and Alaska. What are five careers you've considered? Throughout my life, I’ve considered beinggggg a pro wrestler, a model, a veterinarian, an astronaut, and an author. Do you use a sunlamp when it's cloudy? No, I’ve never needed one because it’s super bright here 24/7, 365. Even if it’s cloudy you wouldn’t something as bright as a sunlamp. What's your latest discovery? People are assholes and will share jumpscare videos at 2 AM even if so many others have expressed their legitimate panic and anxiety over them.
What do you wish your hair looked like? Nothing, I’m happy with it right now. Which family member has your exact smile? Sometimes I’ll resemble my mom, but for the most part I don’t think I share my smile with anybody. Do you still feel anything for the first person you fell in love with? Yep, she’s remained very important to me this whole time. What's one thing you're behind on? Kdramas. Lol I get soooooo lazy when it comes to watching them because every episode is an hour long and I just don’t have the attention span for that. I’ve seen so many shows trend over the last few weeks and yet I’ve barely met any progress watching Descendants of the Sun. Who was the last person you called? Gabie. Do you take pictures on your phone? ...Duh? But yeah, I like saving my memories so I have a couple thousand photos in my camera roll at present. How old were you the first time you loved school? 19, I guess. I hated the culture in my first school and I hated my freshman year in college. I only started taking studying seriously in my second year, when I turned 19. How old were you the first time you encountered God? Idk, the second I was born. Have you ever hallucinated? It doesn’t really count as hallucinate but once when I was 8, I had a very high fever and I had a nightmare alongside it, so when I woke up to my grandma soaking hot water all over my body to treat my fever I was still in dream-mode and screaming out stuff to her that was within the universe of that dream. Does it annoy you when people share their ignorant opinions online? Sometimes it can be annoying but sometimes it can be entertaining too, just watching their ignorance unfold haha. Do you clean your place often? I wouldn’t say often, but I will tidy up my room occasionally. Do you struggle to get by? Not right now since I’m still dependent on my parents. But I suppose when I get my first job, my financial situation wouldn’t be rainbows and unicorns at first. What color is your wristwatch? I don’t have one. I stopped wearing watches after I realized I just lose every single one of them. :/ Who is the best looking male celebrity, in your opinion? Timothée Chalamet. Do you still miss a friend who betrayed you? No. How many subscribers do you have on youtube? 0. And rightfully so, I don’t post anything on it. If you'd like to share, what is your screenname on Instagram? Nope. Do you use Snapchat? Barely. I’ll use it for the filters sometimes, but otherwise I stopped using it as a social media since 2017. Do you enjoy typing? Idk, enjoy is a little loaded. I’m neutral about it, it’s just what I have to do to post text online lol. Are you a fast texter? I’d say that, sure. Would you rather text or call? TEXT do not call me ever Do you know anyone who has everything handed to them? Yep. I try not to think of those people because it’s such an unfair situation and it’ll just stress me out. Would you ever want to be a famous youtuber? Haha yeah, I’ve thought about making it as a vlogger. But the career is super unpredictable and it’s so easy to fall behind in it because so many people are getting into it and are just doing the same thing, so if anything it’s something I wanna do as a side project, and solely for fun. Do you know anyone who's colorblind? Not that I know of. What are three of your pet peeves? People who are late, people who don’t meet their deadlines, and people who don’t smile back or say thank you whenever a barista or a server serves them.

From street tacos and breakfast burritos to rustic Italian fare, the best restaurants in El Paso go beyond the obvious.
The food scene in El Paso often gets overlooked, largely because out-of-towners tend to view this western border town as a place to pass through – and not a worthy destination in its own right. But it’s their loss, because in addition to a plethora of things to do worth staying for, El Paso boasts a truly distinctive foodie culture, not to mention several top-notch restaurants that rival those of any other in the Lone Star state. You can taste the intermingling of Mexican and American cultures practically anywhere you eat, the results of which are usually incredibly tasty. Whether you’re craving unassuming street tacos, rustic Italian cuisine, succulent BBQ or the best breakfast burritos of your life, chances are you can find it in El Paso. Here are best restaurants in El Paso.
1. Tacoholics
What is it? A former gourmet food truck turned brick-and-mortar that serves sinfully delicious tacos and burritos.
Why go? This taco joint is a favorite among locals, and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. But at Tacoholics you can only eat one meal, make it the popular rolled tacos of  the Flautas Ahogadas, El Paso. Made with white wheat flour and corn masa, the tortillas for the flautas are stuffed with ground beef, fried and then smothered in queso fresco and tangy salsa verde. Seriously, if you come to El Paso and you don’t eat the flautas at Tacoholics, we don’t want to know about it.
Price Bracket: Average
2. L & J Café
What is it? An institution in El Paso dating back to 1927 that is often regarded as the city's best restaurant.
Why go? Steeped in four generations of family tradition, L & J Café is the very soul of El Paso itself. The food is incredible – the chile de arbol salsa is so good that it’s bottled and sold on the premises, and the red enchiladas, tostadas, ground beef tacos and chile rellenos are the stuff of legend. L & J has been beloved by locals for nearly a century, and the restaurant has won numerous awards and accolades over the years.
Price Bracket: Average
3. Cattlemen’s Steakhouse
What is it? An iconic family-style restaurant located 20 miles east of El Paso on the Indian Cliffs Ranch.
Why go? Cattleman’s Steakhouse may not technically be in El Paso, but the drive is well worth your time. The hearty T-bone steaks are cut on the premises every day, and the desert scenery is stunning. This is also the perfect place to bring kiddos since, in addition to the restaurant, there’s a lake, a private petting zoo, a movie set, hayrides and more.
Price Bracket: Pricey
4. Café Central
What is it? An elegant bistro that serves the most upscale food in the city, in a lovely setting on Oregon Street.
Why go? Café Central aims to impress: The seasonal cuisine is reliably outstanding, with popular menu items like Miso Chilean Sea Bass and Angus Ribeye Cocktail, and the ambiance is tres chic. Named one of Travel + Leisure’s “100 Moat Romantic Restaurants in the U.S.”, Café Central is a great date night spot. Even if you don’t feel like splurging on a meal, this is a fabulous place for late-night drinks, thanks to the inviting outdoor terrace and fully-stocked bar.
Price Bracket: Blowout
5. Salma Farah’s
What is it? A little slice of Lebanese food in a friendly El Paso strip-mall restaurant.
Why go? For a taste of the Mediterranean. This is the place to come for authentic falafel sandwiches, fatayer pastries, gyro wraps, sizzling shawarma and so much more. And in case you can’t see it when you’re driving by, it’s situated behind Singapore Café.
Price Bracket: Average
6. H&H Car Wash and Coffee Shop
What is it? Equal parts car wash and famed foodie spot, and the only place in town (and probably the state) where you can get your car serviced while you chow down on burritos and Huevos rancheros.
Why go? H&H Car Wash and Coffee Shop has been run by the same family since it opened its doors in 1958, and locals have always gathered at this tiny yet welcoming café. The burgers are perfectly fine, but it’s the Tex-Mex – flavorful eggs and chorizo and enchiladas drowning in chile Colorado and chile verde – that keeps folks coming back. Don’t leave town without stopping by H&H Car Wash and Coffee Shop; you’ll thank your lucky Lone Star that you did.
Price Bracket: Bargain
7. Ardovino’s Desert Crossing
What is it? A garden-fresh, scenic Italian restaurant over the border in New Mexico that also hosts a popular farmers’ market most weekends.
Why go? Well known as one of the region’s premier spots for fine dining, Ardovino’s is the perfect place to spend a Saturday. The mountainous desert scenery here is stunning, most of the veggies and herbs are grown on site and, for over 16 years, the Farmers’ Market at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing has sold high-quality produce, foodstuffs and cutesy homemade gifts.
Price Bracket: Pricey
8. Tabla
What is it? A lively, hip eatery in the heart of downtown El Paso, where the plates are shareable, and the custom-infused liquors are exquisite.
Why go? Tabla is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with multiple people – tapas are what’s on the menu. This stylish restaurant doesn’t skimp on portions or taste, and while there are some Spanish influences and Moroccan touches thrown in the mix, Tabla really has its own thing going on. Go for the Baked Goat Cheese, with sweet onion jam and grilled bread, the Chickpea Fries or virtually any of the seafood items.
Price Bracket: Pricey
9. Café Mayapan
What is it? A beloved café and a social initiative that contributes to female empowerment and local community development, serving traditional yet nutritional Mexican fare since 2001.
Why go? The menu changes with the seasons, but visitors can rest assured that their meal at Café Mayapan will be excellent, regardless of the time of year. Indulge in hearty, healthy classic dishes with a twist – like roasted cactus and turkey picadillo lettuce wrap tacos – and then shop for artisanal goods at Lum Metik Fair Trade Company, located right behind the café.
Price Bracket: Average
10. Kiki’s Mexican Restaurant
What is it? One of those rare places whose huge reputation is actually well-deserved.
Why go? Though Kiki’s Mexican Restaurant was a well-kept secret among locals for years, this friendly little café is now Food Network-approved. Both dinner and lunch are usually packed, so you’ll need to arrive early if you want to snag a spot. The house specialty is the “Machaca”, a braised beef dish layered with green chili sauce, onions, tomatoes and cheese, and topped with a runny egg. Yum!
Price Bracket: Average

Still Mad For Wagyu at Edsa Shangri-La’s HEAT
Foodies and diners all across the city went totally Mad For Wagyu at HEAT in EDSA Shangri-La when it was launch back in 2015. Imagine a spectacular buffet filled with premium high-grade wagyu beef prepared in all sorts of ways by the hotel’s experienced international chefs. It’s not just steaks, because all the different stations had their own interpretation and featured different wagyu-inspired dishes (read about it here). It was a gigantic, totally mind-blowing affair that had me dreaming of wagyu long after my first maddening encounter.
Flash forward to 2017, and it seems the scars of that experience has never truly left me, because I found out that I am STILL absolutely Mad For Wagyu! The Hungry Kat was invited to once-again indulge in this life-changing buffet and I was excited to see that it is still the beefy, wagyu-filled adventure it has always been. I’m sure I will be dreaming of cows and cattle for the next few days because HEAT continues to deliver one of the best buffets in the land.
HEAT is EDSA Shangri-La Manila’s all day dining restaurant serving an international buffet of signature dishes from breakfast all the way until dinner. Mad For Wagyu is a special dinner buffet held every Saturday that highlights this premium type of Japanese beef we have all grown to love and cherish. Wagyu cattle are breeds which are genetically predisposed to intense marbling, producing a high percentage of fat located within the meat itself and thus creating a very tender, almost melt-in-your-mouth beef texture. EDSA Shangri-La also features their Mad For Lobster buffet dinner every Friday, but that’s another story altogether.
Joining me that evening at HEAT’s private dining room was the always fresh Edgar Co from Pinas Muna and the always nutty Richie Zamora also known as The Pickiest Eater in the World.
We were hosted by EDSA Shangri-La’s very charming Director for Communications - Ms. Cristina del Carmen who also introduced to us the chefs that were in charge of tonight’s magnificent wagyu feast.
The daily selection at HEAT is very extensive, with many different stations that provide everything you can possibly want to have in a buffet. You can start your journey with some freshly baked artisanal breads, salads, cheese, and a variety of hams and cured meats at the Appetizers section. I prefer to start my dinner with some sushi and salmon sashimi from the Japanese Station.
While most of the stations still serve the regular selection of dishes, you will feel the Mad For Wagyu theme all over the restaurant as each section offers their own wagyu-inspired dishes. I checked out the Noodle Station and found out that they serve Wagyu Laksa, a curried wagyu beef laksa dumpling in spiced coconut broth. This is not your ordinary laksa because the tender beef gives it a whole new flavor component. I also liked that it was not too spicy and had just enough kick that I could handle.
We all like to eat shawarma but have you ever tried a Wagyu Shawarma? This also takes the classic Middle Eastern dish to another level with its juicy beef sliced hot off the griller.  It is served in a warm pita bread with vegetables and yogurt sauce.
The Chinese Station also offers their own wagyu dishes like the Wagyu Buns. These siopao have wagyu fillings inside which gives it a beefy and aromatic flavor. Now this is one siopao you won’t find in any fast food restaurant.
The classic Filipino favorite is also given the wagyu touch as HEAT offers their Wagyu Beef Bulalo. These tender beef shanks boiled in bulalo soup are just so good. Make sure to ask the chef for a piece of the bone so you can scoop out the marrow from inside.
Also hot off the grill are these Marinated Wagyu Beef Yakiniku which also upgrades the regular barbecues we enjoy. Everything is just so much better when it is made from wagyu.
The highlight of Mad For Wagyu at HEAT is the Wagyu Beef Rump steak proudly displayed at the Western carving station. Ask the server for a slice or two and have it grilled to your preferred doneness. I always have it cooked medium, but remember the cardinal rule with steaks, most especially wagyu. Never ask for it to be well-done or you will ruin the flavors of this premium beef.
There is a variety of sauces you can put on top of your steak, whether it be red wine sauce or mushroom gravy. Mad For Wagyu also has another selection of barbecue sauces to choose from, twenty of them in fact! Play around with your sauces and see which ones are your favorite.
Other dishes you can find at the Western Section include the Wagyu Beef Wellington, Wagyu Mini Burgers, and Wagyu Spring Rolls which are also quite appealing.
Over at the Italian Station, aside from the pizzas topped with wagyu beef chunks, they also have the Wagyu Beef Cheek Cannilloni with Mascarpone which is rolled pasta filled with Wagyu beef and root vegetables then topped with cream cheese.
Look around the entire restaurant and you will encounter many other different wagyu-inspired dishes. Some of these include the (from top to bottom) Wagyu Beef Cheeks, Wagyu Beef Goulash, Wok Fried Black Pepper Wagyu Short Ribs, Wagyu Beef Brisket and Wagyu Beef Barbecue. All of these will go so well with rice, right? What better combination to have than to get a bowl of Wagyu Fried Rice to really make you go Mad For Wagyu.
But of course, that’s not all that there is at HEAT’s Mad For Wagyu night. You can still enjoy the other stations like the Seafood Station where these Spanner Crabs were waiting.
I got a plate of crabs, mussels and prawns then handed it over to the chefs to cook it in glorious garlic butter. The result is a fantastic seafood plate to go along with all the other beefy dishes at HEAT. Here’s a tip, ask the chef to peel off the prawn shells for you before cooking. That makes eating these babies a lot easier and gives you more time to enjoy the buffet.
Other favorites were also available at the buffet like the Roasted Lechon, Dimsum, Roast Duck, and even Deep Fried Salmon Skin and Chicken Skin.
One other specialty of the house is the Coffee Spareribs by Chef Tony Sum. This is his creative interpretation of Singapore’s favorite - deep fried ribs coated in coffee-based sweet sauce. This is always a recommended item at the buffet.
While beverages are not yet included in the buffet price, diners can choose any of the three additional beverage packages to complete their dining experience. The Sip & Repeat (+P250) comes with Unlimited Iced Tea and Soda-based mocktails. Go for the Beer Blast (+P875) if you want to include unlimited Heineken Draft Beer with the iced tea and mocktails, or choose the ReWINEd (+P1200) for all those plus unlimited red wine.
The journey is not complete without desserts so we also went totally mad for the Dessert Station! Eight different types of ice cream and gelato were on hand plus hundreds of topping and sauces to choose from. You can also ask for a crepe or a halo halo topped with Ube Ice Cream. I had a scoop of their Strawberry gelato with candy sprinkles plus the Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream.
They also have so many cakes and pastries on display, highlighted by the Raspberry Moten Brownie Double Shot Vodka Cheesecake. This is an irresistible fusion of cream cheese, sour cream, and chocolate brownie with the velvety smooth, rich-textured cheesecake smothered elegantly with raspberry sauce and a subtle kick of vodka. I even saw this chocolate marshmallow dessert pizza!
For a minimum single receipt bill of P5,000, diners can even get a free spin on the Mad For Wagyu wheel where they can win instant prizes. Mad For Wagyu is available every Saturday from 6:00pm to 10:30pm for P2,615 nett per person. Thank you so much to Ms. Cristina del Carmen and EDSA Shangri-La Manila for this amazing dining adventure.

Tabbouleh by Muzaffar - Best Lebanese Restaurant in Singapore
We hope you enjoyed this article about tabbouleh Lebanese Restaurant. Eating at an authentic Lebanese restaurant is a great way to get a taste of the culture. If you are looking for authentic Lebanese food in Singapore, we hope you’ll visit us at www.tabbouleh.sg.
Tabbouleh, although similar sounding as tak boleh in the Malay language, is anything but.
A quick google search shows that Tabbouleh is a middle eastern salad dish, and its uncanny counterpart, Tabouli, is in the same vein a Mediterranean salad dish. We sat down with the owner of Tabbouleh Lebanese Gourmet Cafe and Restaurant as he shared with us more about his Lebanese eatery.
“Although grilled meat dishes are usually the staple of middle eastern and mediterranean cuisine, we chose the name Tabbouleh as it is a very popular salad dish in the Levantine,” explained Muzaffar Khan, the owner of Tabbouleh. “Tabbouleh is well-known in the entire middle eastern region, and we want the restaurant name to be easily recognized by people in the region.”
With a degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management, Muzaffar decided to venture out and open his very own F&B restaurant. “I am actually from Pakistan, but my mother is Lebanese, and since young I have thoroughly enjoyed Lebanese cuisine and have always had a strong interest in serving Lebanese food, that is why I started Tabbouleh,” shared Muzaffar.
Tabbouleh first opened in 2008, and Arab Street was easily the number one location together with Haji Lane as the popular location for all things Middle East. Constantly buzzing with tourists and locals alike, Arab Street is a hotspot even amongst the younger generation to simply chill and have dinners and suppers.
“Some people do get confused when they come to Arab Street, as there are Turkish, Arabian, Persian, Lebanese and even Greek-Mediterranean cuisine within the vicinity - but what makes each cuisine stand out is the main spices used in these dishes,” quipped Muzaffar. “Of course, there are exclusive dishes that set each country’s dishes apart as well.”
While many locals are familiar with dishes like Falafel, Kafka and Shawarma wraps, there are other dishes such as the Hummus Fatteh and Lamb Mandi  that we have heard of but rarely see being served locally.
Lebanese cuisine is famous for a reason, it is delicious. Lebanese cuisine is a combination of Mediterranean, Arabic, and Turkish cuisine. Lebanese food is known for its flavors and variety in ingredients. Lebanese food is influenced by the different regions they have lived in throughout history. The Lebanese restaurants are a craze in Singapore and the Tabbouleh Lebanese Restaurant has the best Lebanese food in Bussorah Street, Singapore. The restaurant is owned by Muzzaffar Khan.
The restaurant has been open for over a year now, and they are still serving up delicious dishes like tabbouleh salad and hummus. For those who are not aware, tabbouleh refers to a Lebanese salad that is made using tomato, parsley, mint, onion, and lemon juice. (Tabbouleh is also known as tabouli, tabbouli, tabouleh, tabouli, and tabouleh). It is an extremely popular dish in singapore.
Tabbouleh Lebanese Restaurant is a family-run restaurant that serves authentic Lebanese food. The dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients, and their customers can enjoy the unique taste of its dishes at any time of the day.

Bacall Associates - Travel Tips: Where to Find the Best Street Food in Singapore
Singapore is an array of different cultures blended harmoniously. And therefore, the country's food culture lacks nothing else. What's magnificent to see is how SG placed its street food as one of its heritage and culture. They even celebrate an annual Singapore Food Festival in celebration of street food. A couple of stalls have also earned a Michelin star! Travelers Today takes you directly to the streets.
Along the streets of Little India, one can find Chaat, a street savory vegetarian snack that contains potatoes, delicious yogurt, and a couple of spices. There are also lots of roti or naan along the way. A trip to the Mustafa Centre and Tekka Centre is worthwhile as you try various street food with costs starting from S$0.35 to not more than S$10. If you ask us, we go gaga over their Biryani and masala teh.
Singapore's Chinatown Food Complex is where you get the best seat and a line of hawkers willing to serve you. In fact, you can find the famed Michelin star food street here. The Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle is available for S$2. It wasn't an award-winning stall when we came there, though. And we failed to eat their chunks as they have plenty of people
lining up. Maybe next year. Expect to pay S$1 to S$5 in Chinatown for a bowl of noodles, dumplings, beef, liver and more.
You can find various international dishes that range from Sri Lanka to Arab Nations at Kampong Glam. Shawarma, curry, and veggies are common here. Prices are very affordable. Some won't cost you much than S$5. There are also a couple of roti and naan along the way. We just grabbed one and off our way. By the way, some are self-service. You grab a plate then you can choose from an array of 20 dishes. We stayed in a cat café though.
How about, before leaving the airport, you get to taste some street food at Changi Village Food Centre? They said it has been renovated now and is much cleaner than before. You can have satay of mutton, fish or pork worth S$0.50 to S$2. Oyster omelets are served for S$5 and going up while fritters are available up to S$1.
