Dive Into Comfort and Style With Women's Swimming Wetsuit
Regarding swimming, comfort and performance are two of the most important factors. Swimming wetsuits for womens have become increasingly popular over the years, and for a good reason. Not only do they provide added warmth and buoyancy, but they also offer a comfortable and flexible fit for a wide range of water activities. This short blog is all about these wetsuits and their importance.
Tumblr media
What is a Swimming Wetsuit?
A swim wetsuit is clothing made from neoprene material designed to keep the body warm while in the water. It helps to insulate the body and create a layer of water between the skin and the wetsuit, which is then heated by the body's temperature. This layer of water helps to keep the body warm, even in cold water.
Why Wear a Swim Wetsuit?
Swimming wetsuits offer several benefits for women looking to engage in water activities. For one, they provide additional buoyancy, which can help swimmers to stay afloat more easily. It can be especially helpful for beginners who may not be as comfortable in the water. Additionally, they can help to increase speed and reduce drag. Hence, making it easier to swim longer distances.
Aside from performance benefits, wetsuits can also offer added comfort and protection. The neoprene material is soft and flexible, allowing for a full range of motion. It can be especially helpful for women looking to engage in surfing, paddleboarding, or kayaking, where flexibility is key. Wetsuits also protect against the sun, wind, and other elements, helping to keep skin safe and protected.
Choosing the Right Wetsuit for Women
When choosing the right swimming wetsuit womens, there are a few factors to consider. First and foremost is the fit. A wetsuit should fit snugly but not too tight to provide the best insulation and comfort. It's also important to consider the thickness of the wetsuit. Wetsuits are typically available in a range of thicknesses from 2mm to 5mm, with thicker suits providing more warmth and buoyancy.
Other factors to consider are the style of the wetsuit, which can vary from full-length to short-sleeved and short-legged. It's also important to consider additional features, such as zippers, hoods, and pockets, which can add convenience and functionality. Also, you can go with a specific brand for more comfort and good prices.
Top Brands to Buy Women's Swim Wetsuits in Australia
Funkita is a popular Australian swimwear brand offering various women's swimsuits in various styles and designs. Axel wakes before Susie. He scrubbed his eyes as he sat up. Part of him still couldn't believe she came over without expecting anything from him but someone to sleep next to for the night. To many women had always expected him to perform like a stallion no matter what. The more he thought about it, looking at her laying on her stomach, the more turned on he got.
Axel kissed her shoulder lightly before getting out of bed slowly not to wake her. Since his morning routine included coffee, he makes a cup for her and brings it back to the bedroom. He paid great attention how she liked it. He set it on the nightstand beside her as he slid back in bed beside her.
"Good morning Susie Q," He whispered by her ear. She stirred slightly with a whine. "Coffee is right beside you."
One blue eye opened to see his smile. She turned away before opening both eyes to reach for her coffee. Axel watched her sip without barely lifting her head. He held in a chuckle as he sat up against the headboard.
Susie eases herself up beside him. She leans her head on his shoulder. "Good morning. Thank you for the coffee."
Axel puts his arm around her and leans down to kiss her forehead. "You're welcome. You want to go surfing with me this morning?"
"I never tried before but I like to kayak." She slides a hand down his thigh.
He looked at her with wide eyes, "I..." His voice hesitated as her warm hand found its way down his boxers grabs around his girth. "I'll teach you." He gritted his teeth.
"Sounds fun," Susie grinned. "Were you thinking about touching me while I was sleeping? You seem to be."
"Yes," he let out a groan.
She stroked his length. His growing excitement turned her on. Susie bite her lower lip watch as he throws his head back breathing heavier with every stroke. "What do you want right now, Axel?"
"More, than your hand." He reached to pull her hand away. "You want a ride this morning, you have to grab the protection from my nightstand drawer before I pop."
She nodded excitedly. Kissed him strong and deep as she reached in the drawer finding what she was after quickly. She freed Axel of his boxers. As soon as she got his shorts off and the condom on him she straddled him.
Axel placed his hand on her hips helping her get comfortable, "You got it, Susie. There you go." He purred
She seethed as she took his manhood completely inside her. She started rolling her hips putting her hands over his. He pumped up to meet all her needs as she started to moan softly. Axel watches her beautiful body move with his so perfectly.
Susie's hand release from their position as she whined for her release to come. As she leans back, Axel leaned up to her grabbing her ass. She held him as they work together.
Axel looks in her eyes"I lo..."
"Don't say it, Axel," She kisses him moaning into his mouth as they break. "Not like this...Oh damn. just feel it..."
He nodded and held her close. They went slow and steady. Keep up with the way the other was moving. As she clenched around him tightly, he came pushing her over the top to ecstasy. They both collapsed back in the bed.
"I'm sorry Axel," Susie muttered.
"You have nothing to be sorry about." Axel was catching his breath. "That was great, Susie Q."
"I mean when you were about to say something in the heat of the moment and I stopped you." She sighed turning to lay on his shoulder looking at him. “Some things should never be uttered during or even right after sex, Axel."
"I can wait until you are ready to hear me say it, but I am still thinking it." He smiled pushing some stray hair behind her ear. "How about we shower, catch some waves, and go to breakfast? You can text your parents to invite them to breakfast and ask if they want to kayak with us."
"How about we invite them after breakfast," Susie kisses his lips softly before getting up. She grabs her night cloths off the floor. "Can you make me another cup of coffee while I shower, Axel?"
"Sure, Babe," He smiles watching her walk out down the hall into the restroom.
He gets up and tosses his boxers in the dirty cloths bin before walking out naked. After he puts on more coffee, he pulls open the glass porch door to walk out to take a deep breath of the salty air. The way the waves crashed on the beach it was like they were calling him to the surf.
He heard a small giggle behind him. Axel turned with a big grin on his face. It was Susie holding her hand over her mouth trying to control her out burst.
"I think you forgot something before coming out here for the world to see, " Susie snickered.
'Yeah, it is bright," His hand makes a visor over his eyes, "I should have put on sunglasses. The waves are calling us, Babe. Can you hear them?"
She walks out to look at the ocean already in a sundress with her bikini underneath, "It is a beautiful view. Now go shower exhibitionist." She giggles again." Before your neighbors step out on their balcony and get more than they bargained for."
He chuckles walking back inside, "I am out here almost every morning. My neighbors are used to it by now. The ones that rent don't seem to mind."
Susie followed him back inside shaking her head. She pours her second cup of coffee with cream as he goes to shower. Taking it outside she sits on the rocker overlooking the beach. It feels so peacefully. It is just like she belongs here.
She is lost in her Thoughts when Axel comes out wearing black board shorts with a pirate skull on the left leg. "You ready to try something new today?" Susie looks up at him with a smile, "What did you have in mind."
"I was talking about surfing," He grinned. "What were you thinking about?"
"Surfing of course," she blushed as she got up to follow him out to his shed.
"I think I have a beginners board around here somewhere," Axel looks through his collection of surf and boogie boards. "I haven't used it to much. Not to many people want to learn."
"I definitely want to learn," She watched him. "You have quite an assortment of surfboards."
He pulled the one he was looking for from the back of six others. "I like collecting interesting patterned boards. This yellow and blue one is made for a beginner.  You will master it in  no time."
Axel puts the boards on the carrier attached to his motorcycle before they roll off under the summer sun.  He drives to the beach wear his brother is life guarding. He waves to him as they carry their boards down by the water. The beach is busy with vacationers sunbathing and swimming. But not to many surfers in the area away from the water play. Susie runs toward the water with the board.
"Whoa there little surfer girl," Axel yelled motioning her to come back to the beach. "You need to learn some basics before setting foot in the ocean."
She stops, turning to him, "Are you serious?"
Axel tossed his board on to the sand, "Yep."
They spent forty-five minutes on the sand. Josh glanced over a few times and chuckled. After Axel got her to keep her feet in the correct position, he had her lay stomach down on her board as he did the same next to her.
"Pop up like this." He showed her. "Feet in the right position to balance."
Josh laughed as Susie lost balance and fell the first time. Axel was there to catch her before she hit the sand, but they both fell back laughing.
"And that is why you do it on land first," Axel chuckled. "Now again. On your belly and pop up."
She did it without falling the second time although she was still a little wobbly. They practiced that until she had it down. All Axel had to say is, "Up," and she popped up into form. He couldn't deny he liked the power over her having her jump up to her feet on command.
Others he had tried to teach surfing were whining about how he taught. They barely listened to directions. Susie acted like she really wanted to learn. She hadn't second guessed his techniques at all. He felt good when they finally paddled out.
"We are going to stay laying on our boards to catch a wave first so you get the feel of that before standing," He paddled right beside her.
"Sure, Axel, whatever you think is best," She paddled harder with her arms to keep up with him. "Like I said, I have never done this before."
"Alright we are going to turn to catch this next one," He turned, and she followed what he did. "Now paddle back until you feel it carry you. Then just ride."
Susie screamed and laughed as Axel pushed her into the path of a wave that took her right back to the shoreline. He popped up catching the next one with precision.  They paddled back out and turned. As a wave came to pick up her board Axel yelled," Up,"
She got to her feet stead enough making it a few feet before the wave crashed over her. The board went flying up. Josh blew his whistle seeing what happen. He and Axel both swam towards where the board was floating. They grabbed her up as she choked up some water.
"Are you alright?" Axel and Josh said in unison.
Susie shook her head that she was good. But she was truly a little stunned. A little shaken. And a little waterlogged.
"Just hold the flotation device Susie." Josh put her hands on his rescue canister. "Axel get her ankle unattached from the board. I just want to take her to the med hut to check her lungs. You can follow."
"Sure, man." Axel said worriedly. "I don't think the board hit her." He undid the tie off and put her board on top of his kicking to shore with Susie and his brother.
Josh held her up as he kicked them towards shore. Although she could feel his body pressed against her holding her up, it was a professional hold as he would do for anyone.
Of course not everyone saw that it was just a lifeguard rescuing a person from possibly drowning. Jen had stepped on to the beach in her hot pink bikini with white polka dots. She went to the lifeguard stand to tease Josh until his shift was done. But when she looked up, another lifeguard was in his place. She scanned the beach. Then she saw them. Josh was on top of Susie seemly whispering something in her ear. She didn’t see Axel beside them with two boards.
She stood there glaring at them. Josh didn't even notice her when he got Jen sitting on the beach, "How are you doing?" He looked to Axel. “I have to radio this in so stay with her a minute. I'll check her out soon."
"So you're going to both check her out?" Jen smirked. "You know you are just a vacationer Susie. These two obviously don't give a damn about anyone."
"What?" Susie looked up at her confused.
"Go home Jen, " Josh got up grabbing Jen's arm to pull her away from the scene. "I told you we would hangout after my shift. She just went under. It's my job to check her out to make shore she is ok. Not every girl I save is someone I fuck."
He stomped off towards the lifeguard tower walkie talkie in, "Female went under at section twelve. Taking her in to check vitals."
A voice comes over the walkie, " Kelly is already there for her shift. You can take off as soon as you check out the girl."
"Cool," He turns to go back to Susie. Jen is standing there. "If you don't want to go home Jen, go to my place to wait. I have a job to do."
"I won't wait forever," She screams after him. "Plenty of men will love me."
Josh yells back, "No only one man can do that." He mumbles "Others will just fuck you and go."
He heads back to Susie and Axel as Jen runs off pouting. Susie leaned against Axel as they followed Josh to the med hut. Josh has her sit up on the table. Then he listens to her lungs.
"I think a break from the ocean the rest of the day would be a good idea Susie." Josh suggests. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm alright now," She took another deep breath. I don't think I was under that long."
"Long enough," Both men said with a chuckle because they talked in such synchronicity.
"I guess that is that," She giggled. " But what about kayaking later?"
"We can do that tomorrow," Axel rub her back. "Let's go to breakfast. We can bike the coast. It is a great view from my motorcycle."
"Oh, yeah that's not dangerous at all,"Josh laughed. "I have to jet before Jen tears my apartment apart."
"Good luck with her, bro." Axel said as his brother left. He turned to Susie. "Your parents can rent a cycle to come with us.”
"How about we invite them to breakfast instead." She smiled.

Your Ultimate Guide to Stand up Paddling in Hawaii
Stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) has grown in popularity across the world, having its origins in Hawaii. SUP, also known as Ku Hoe He'e Nalu in Hawaii, is an ancient type of Hawaiian surfing.
SBS Hawaii tours feature stand-up paddleboarding as well as the opportunity to snorkel and explore what lies under the water's surface. It provides tourists and locals with a rise and personal look at all Hawaii has to offer along with a Few Points for sup rental Hawaii.
Before venturing out on your own, we recommend taking a stand-up paddle boarding instruction to understand the fundamentals. The Anahulu River, also known as the Anahulu Stream, is the longest waterway on the island of Oahu and is located on the famed North Shore. After you've mastered the fundamentals of SUP, the fun starts.
Although traditional surfing, SUP is quite simple to master, especially for women. I assume that has something to do with a lower center of gravity! However, both men and women will enjoy its beautiful simplicity and short learning curve. Many people get comfortable paddling off on their own within an hour. Another significant advantage of the sport is that it builds a strong core.
Standing well above the water provides a distinct view of everything beneath the surface. Because of your high position on the board, you may see things that you might miss when swimming or kayaking, such as a pod of dolphins nearby.
Modern surfers have just lately found its adaptability. Surfers who use stand-up paddle boards may detect waves more readily and catch more waves in a set. Many of the nearby Kona beaches with lesser waves are ideal for beginners.
A standard board is 9-12 feet (3-4 meters) long. Paddle size ranges according to paddler size, but should be around 6" longer than the paddler's size.
Best Places to Go Stand-Up Paddleboarding
The west coast of the Big Island, with its warm and tranquil seas, is an ideal location for learning this interesting sport. Kukio Beach, Anaeho'omalu Beach close to the Waikoloa Beach Marriott, Kealakekua Bay, Kailua Bay, and Kamakahonu Beach, at the Hilton Waikoloa Village, Fairmont Orchid Hawaii beach, and Mauna Kea Beach are some of the top locations for a relaxing SUP experience. Hilo Bay is your best bet on the Big Island's east side.
This historic Hawaiian stream serves as a highway for Hawaiian green sea turtles, who utilize it as a safe refuge from predators while resting after lengthy ocean excursions in the Pacific. You'll probably see them swimming, relaxing on the stream's banks, and soaking in the warm Hawaiian sun.
This stand-up paddleboard class and tour is ideal for first-time paddleboarders. Such a gorgeous environment could only be imagined, and this is one lesson you'll remember for the rest of your life.

7 Essential Saltwater Fishing Lures
Tumblr media
Catching a big fish not a joke, right? I hear you now asking “Yes, you’re right. But how could I catch a fish easily?” There is a tool that could help you solve that problem without spending too much money. Do you know what that is? It is a lure. Let's see the discussion about seven good Saltwater Fishing Lures. Lure can help you in so many ways when fishing. Beautiful lures are crafted and designed creatively from the fish structure and face too. It is definitely used by the anglers and fishermen to catch big and fresh fishes under the water. There is no limitation in using your beautiful and favorite lures of all time. You can use it both in saltwater and freshwater, so you can enjoy wherever you want to go fishing. Don’t worry about the place or country you’re living in. Lures work everywhere as long as you’re fishing in freshwater or saltwater. There are many kinds of lure that are produced and used every year around the world - different designs, kinds of fish and texture. So, I will not make you wait any longer! Now, I’ll give you the seven (7) types of fishing lures that are essential in saltwater fishing. Berkly Gulp Shrimp
Tumblr media
In fishing, all you need to do is to trick all saltwater species to get them all. Since most water species eat shrimp then this one is a good tricking tool for your target ones. The Berkly Gulp Shrimp is one of the famous artificial shrimp that has been used all over the world. It has the quality and it is less expensive than other lures. Now, there is a bunch of shrimp that were designed in different colors and sizes. But the most consistent bites of the two are white shrimp and the “New Penny” color like this one above. Topwater Lure/ Popper
Tumblr media
This type of fishing lure is usually floating above the surface of the water to attract a fish. There are a bunch of beautiful topwater lures to choose from. One of the most famous topwater lures is the original Zara Spook Topwater Plug by Heddon. The recommended Spook topwater lure is within 4.5-5 inches. Do you know what the best color for this lure is? It is Bone White. It is always a safe bet, actually. There is one pretty expensive topwater lure but high quality and worth the price, the Yo-Zuri Sashimi Metallic Sardine Popper which can be very effective anywhere in the world.
3. Soft Plastic Fluke (Jerkbait)
Tumblr media
This Fluke is one of the most incredible lures of all time. Whether in freshwater or saltwater, this fluke is killing it. This lure is weedless which allows you to fish them close to the top or put a hook and fish them a bit lower. This lure can surely compete with other lures.
4. Rapala X-Rap Jerkbait/Slashbait
Tumblr media
Spending your time fishing could never be satisfying if there is no lure and this Rapala X-Rap Jerkbait could be one of your favorites now. This lure is designed creatively and looks amazing under the water! This awesome jerkbait is made for excellent performance in the 3-8 feet depth range. The depth is too shallow, isn’t it? But don’t worry, this lure can handle it. You can try this one right away!
5. MirrOLure Suspending Twitchbait
Tumblr media
At the first look of it, isn’t it cool? This twitchbait is one of the coolest twitchbaits out there.  It is designed to mimic a glass minnow which makes it natural baitfish for kayak fishing in saltwater and freshwater. It is effective and functional when targeting fishes. This could be a good one for you. This MirrOLure comes also in different cool colors, sizes, and shapes. If you have the skills of an angler then it must be easy for you. It has a unique design and style that could easily attract the targets. White Bucktail
Tumblr media
This white bucktail surprisingly glows in the water which attracts living species in the water and stuck on its hook. It comes in all kinds of beautiful colors and flairs. It can mostly catch fishes like redfish, snook, and even tarpon just using this one and only white bucktails. The white bucktails are proven and tested by many anglers and fishermen. You can add some flairs or plastic tail that trails off the hook. Gold Spoon
Tumblr media
This gold spoon works better than all spoons and attracts more saltwater and freshwater species. The most famous gold spoon is called the Johnson Sprite Spoon. Gold spoon is dense and thin. It casts well and far. As it becomes famous, the gold spoon has now different sizes and colors, single hook spoons and even treble hook spoons, weedless spoons and many more. This one is really attractive under the water and can easily attract water species easily. I know you are all excited to go fishing right now and these lures are one of the reasons why, right? Even those who are skilled anglers and fishermen all over the world need lures to make it easy for them to catch few fishes at their favorite fishing spots. Even you are young, old, men or women; you can enjoy fishing using lures whenever and wherever you want. There is no limitation to have it. There are such varieties of lures available for you but this is such a headache to choose when you are only a beginner. That’s why I hope the information above will help you recognize and choose what lures you want. There are new designs that do not last long or vice-versa. Not all lures are expensive so be sure to purchase and choose wisely when it comes to lures. You can buy a bunch of different lures and try it out to decide and come up with the best lure you will buy next time. Overcome your fears in fishing and try to be brave. Get all your equipment ready. Have a great nice day of fishing!

101 Best Hobbies For Men Of All Ages
Tumblr media
1Pool/Snooker
You’ve probably already played one if not both of these games.
Most bars have pool tables, after all. But we’re not talking about playing after a few beers. We’re talking here about you practising over and over until you’re actually good.
Which is actually a lot easier said than done (especially with snooker).
2Golf
A classic gentleman’s hobby, right here. If you want to get out and in the fresh air but you’re not an adrenaline junkie
, golf is a great hobby to pick.
It can be expensive to get all the equipment, and membership fees are not always cheap.
But what we most like about golf is that your improvement is measurable. And like other individual sports, it requires a high level of mental concentration. This engages your mind on the task at hand, forcing any negative or stressful thoughts to take a backseat. For 9-18 rounds at least, anyway.
And if you’re on the corporate ladder, not much eases the climb like an invite to play a round with the boss.
3Archery
Hey, if you tried and enjoyed darts, why not get involved with darts for the big boys. Yep, we’re talking about archery.
Shooting an arrow from a bow is fun, requires skill, accuracy, concentration, and makes you feel like you’re in an old western. It’s also known to improve your patience.
4Shooting
A very manly hobby idea indeed, this one.
Target shooting is a lot of fun, although you can get lost down a rabbit hole of what gun to buy and it can end up costing you big. But there’s definitely something satisfying about learning to shoot and improving your aim.
Just don’t go crazy and shoot a bunch of people and blame us.
5Working Out
This isn’t a particularly ‘out there’ suggestion, granted, but it’s still worth mentioning.
Going to the gym is a very popular hobby for a lot of guys, and on the off chance you’ve never tried working out—you should give it a go.
Even if you don’t fall in love with it, it’ll boost your form, flexibility, and fitness levels and you’ll feel much better physically and mentally.
If you want to start out at home, you can get a lot done with a pair of dumbells and a bench. These two are solid options:
TELK Adjustable Dumbbells (105 LBS Pair) with Gloss Finish and Secure Collars, 65 with Connector, 105 to 200 lbs

6Martial Arts
If you dig Kung Fu movies, then you’ve probably always fancied trying your hand at a martial art or two. It’s great exercise, you learn about other cultures and, vitally, you learn self-defense.
Maybe you handle yourself already, but a clever choke hold is probably preferable to windmilling an entire bar of people.
7Riding Your Bike
Cycling’s a good way to get outside more. It can also get you from A to B quicker than driving in some cities (dudes from L.A. and San Fransisco will know the pain).
But it can also be an easy way to get and keep fit. But don’t be a hero. Remember to wear a helmet. They may look stupid but they stop you from dying.
8Darts
Again, there’s a good chance you’ve thrown a few darts around in your time.
It’s a quick, fun thing to do with friends while out drinking. But play a little more seriously and you’ll be rewarded with seeing yourself get better at something.
And, your math skills will improve. A double whammy.

9Sailing
Alright, so you may need a little bit of a budget for this one.
And be quite close to the coast. But if you can rent, borrow or even buy a boat, there’s nothing quite like learning the ropes (and knots) and hitting the water in a sailboat.
It’s hard work, though. Don’t underestimate it. But the hard work pays off. It’s also a really good way to ‘tech detox’ and recalibrate your brain with nature.
10Parkour
A heart-racing French invention, parkour is basically running about a bit. But not on a flat surface, oh no.
You’re supposed to vault walls and scale buildings and jump over things. It’s an incredible workout and tests your problem-solving skills too.
You’ll need a good basic level of fitness before you get started, though.
11Rock Climbing
There are two ways at looking at rocks.
1.) ‘Oh, a rock. I’d best get out of its way.’
Or 2.) ‘Ooooh! A rock! I’d best climb all over that.’
If you look at them as climbable, then you’ll already probably be a rock-climber.
If you don’t, maybe trying climbing over or up some rocks. You never know, you might enjoy it.
12Surfing
Again, this hobby requires you to live kind of near the sea.
But it the waves are a driveable distance, then surfing can be a fun hobby indeed.
It takes practice, though. Don’t expect to try it and master it straight away. It’s hard work. And tiring too.
See the movie Point Break for more information on surfing and bank robbery – a slightly less advisable hobby.
13Fencing
If you’ve always seen yourself as a bit of an old school charmer type, then maybe fencing’s the hobby for you.
Elegant, quick, unique, you can guarantee it’s a hobby that will intrigue anyone you tell about it.
Provided they don’t think it’s about putting up fences and not, you know, sword fighting. Let’s be honest, they’re probably just going to think you watched The Mark of Zorro one too many times.
But who cares.
14Obstacle/Endurance Races
You’ll need a high starting fitness level for this.
We’re talking about marathon races, triathlons, weird obstacle races, iron mans, those weird running through mud things…
This one’s also a lot of hard work. But the feeling of individual achievement on completing one is pretty hard to beat.
15Skiing/Snowboarding
Preferably, you’d live in a snowy area for this kind of activity. But it’s not necessarily vital.
Plenty of towns and cities have dry ski slopes now. You could practice on those and just try to fly somewhere for skiing once or twice a year (more if you’ve the time and money for it).
It’s fun and it’s great exercise.
16Swimming
Speaking of excellent exercise, it doesn’t get much better than swimming when it comes to fitness.
It’s an all-over workout and helps with all sorts of things like asthma and bad backs.
It’s super inexpensive too.

17Canoeing
Canoeing is a bit of a classic male hobby.
Getting into one of those tiny boats and fighting against the tide (or just going with the stream) is a lot of fun.
You’ll need a few lessons before you hit the rapids, though. If you dig kayaking but don’t enjoy the helmets, maybe try rowing. Another fine male pursuit.
18Boxing
There’s a perception that boxing is an aggressive thing. But it isn’t.
It’s a disciplined sport that promotes fitness and the release of anger in a managed and controlled environment.
What better way to rid yourself of stress and anxiety than by thumping a huge leather bag (or a buddy that’s gone to the boxing gym with you)?

19Running
Hey, who said hobbies had to be complicated and weird and require a load of equipment and research?
Sometimes a new interest can be as simple as getting your sneakers on and going for a run.
Running or jogging is one of the most popular hobbies for people across the world. And for good reason.
Running is not only good for your physical health, but it’s also great for your mental wellbeing.
Our favorite running shoe right now is the Nike Revolution 4. They’re super comfortable, lightweight, breathable, and the shock absorption is really noticeable when you run.

If you’re on a budget, we’ve heard the Teslas are a pretty good grab for under $30:
No products found.
20Coach a Kid’s Team
If you like sport but you’re not the best at playing it, consider coaching as a hobby.
We’re not suggesting you apply to work for the New England Patriots or anything. But there might be a local side that could use a hand.
Volunteer for a kids’ set-up. It might be fun. Then again, it might be unbearable for you. There’s only one way to find out.
Musical Hobbies
21Playing the Guitar
If you already play the guitar, you’ll know it’s a great way to spend your spare time.
Learning new songs is always fun. You can pick up a decent axe for half a day’s pay and hit YouTube for tips on getting started.
Before you know it, you’ll be able to play easy three chord songs and you can go from there.
The Fender 6 is a solid beginner’s choice:

22Learn An Instrument
Guitar not appeal? Don’t dismiss the idea of a musical hobby altogether. You can still learn to master another musical instrument.
Piano, maybe? Violin?
Hell, even a harmonica isn’t to be laughed at. Sure, you might look like a hobo or Death Row prisoner playing it, but if it’s good enough for Bob Dylan, it’s good enough for you.
23Singing
Most of us sing in the shower or when we don’t think anyone else can hear us. If you’re a bit of a karaoke whizz and reckon you’ve got a good voice, maybe have a lesson or two.
You could either just do it for fun, or join a choir or a band.
24Start a Band
Now that you can sing, play the guitar and the harmonica…
Get a band going! It could just be a one-man show.
But if you’ve got friends who play, it’d probably be more fun to get it going with other people.
And if it turns out you’re not half bad, get a little set booked in at a dive bar or something.
25Start a Classic Vinyl Collection
If you’re more of a thinker than a doer and don’t fancy yourself as a musical prodigy, then maybe take up collecting LPs.
Be warned, though – starting a vinyl collection can be addictive and end up costing you A LOT of cash.
Still, keep it sensible and you’ll no doubt enjoy yourself.

Technology Hobbies
26Start a Blog or Website
If you have an interest already and fancy telling people more about it, you could start a website or blog about it.
These days it’s incredibly inexpensive and simple to get a website off the ground (hey, we’ve managed it, right?!). That said, it does take a lot of work if you decide you’d like to make it more than a hobby.
Designing, writing, publicizing, analyzing analytics, there’s plenty to keep you busy (trust us, we know…). But if it’s what you love, it won’t feel like work.
27Learn To Code
If you’re more technically minded and the writing side doesn’t appeal, you could learn to code.
It might be a fun thing to do on the side to keep you entertained. Or, if you do well, it could even turn into an alternative career path should you find yourself at an employment crossroads in the future.
Our editor has used Udemy to learn HTML, CSS, and other coding languages and highly recommends it. It’s a huge platform and has all sorts of online courses.
28Become a Social Media Manager
Messing about on social media is what most of us do with our lives anyway.
If you’re not on social media, join up. It’s a great way to stay connected.
If you’re already a bit of an expert, you could approach businesses with an offer to grow and manage their social media. Or, you could become an influencer on Instagram and collaborate with brands.
It can be surprisingly simple to turn the things you love into things that make you money.
29Online Courses
Going back to school can be an appealing prospect for some. Especially if you didn’t achieve everything you could have the first time, or if you want to learn new skills to further your career.
The best part? You can learn flexibly and at times that suit you. Again, Udemy is a great place to start for finding great online courses. Be sure to read the reviews before you sign up.
30Flying Drones
Now, you’ll need a little cash for this. And also a vague knowledge of the law with regards to aviation.
But if you’ve got the money for one and know you won’t be illegally flying it, zipping one of these about is well known to be a pretty good time.

31Video Games
Do you really need encouraging on this one…?
Video games fans don’t need telling twice to fire up their Xboxes, Playstations, or gaming rig PCs.
Hey – if you enjoy them, play them. Recent studies have also shown video games to be the best way for men to de-stress.
Just try not to overdo it.
Intellectual Hobbies
32Reading
Your new hobby doesn’t need to be something crazy you’ve never thought about or experienced before.
Your new interest might already be right there in your own home. Check your bookshelves.
Are they any interesting-looking books you’ve never got round to reading? Pick them up and give them a spin.
Or if you’re looking for inspiration, check out our list of 75 books every man should read.
33Researching
If it’s non-fiction you’re into, you might find that you’re really interested in a particular field.
True crime, say. Or history. Or politics. Or sport. Whatever.
Get into an area, dig deep, learn about it. Hit the library, go crazy on the internet… Really get in there. Become an expert.
This one links in well with starting a blog or website. As your expertise grows, you’ll have a lot of knowledge to share and will be able to add a lot of value to others (if that’s a road you want to go down).
34Writing
Maybe you’d like to try writing for yourself now you’ve read all those books and researched your favoured topic so thoroughly.
Try a blog for starters. We’ve already told you how easy it is to set one of those up. Then set up social media accounts for it. You can combine lots of these hobby tips,
You can combine lots of these hobby tips, y’know.
35Going Back To School
We mentioned online courses earlier. Maybe you don’t have the discipline for that. It’s fine to admit that.
Or maybe you have the time to attend a college or night school in person, or perhaps face-to-face tutoring is how you learn best.
36Learn Another Language
Most of us at some point in our lives will think about how cool it would be to speak another language.
So why not give it a shot? It’s up to you how far you want to take it. You could learn the basics of Spanish to make vacationing in Spanish-speaking countries a little easier. Or maybe you’d prefer to learn to speak Italian as fluently as a native.
Either way, you’re sure to be rewarded for your effort.
37Astronomy
If you’re the sort of dude who looks up at the stars and thinks, ‘I wonder what’s on TV?’ then this hobby idea might not be for you.
But if you’re the sort of dude who looks up at the stars and wonders about the universe, then maybe investing in a telescope and a few astronomy books might be a cool idea.
38Poetry
So you’ve tried your hand at writing longer form and you didn’t enjoy it. But you still like the idea of writing creatively…
Well, maybe poetry is for you. Sure, some of your friends might laugh at you, but screw them. You might have a talent and enjoy it.
Don’t rule anything out in your search for the perfect hobby, that’s what we say.
39Theater
If you dig movies and television, it’s not a huge stretch to suggest that you might appreciate the theater too.
It might sound a little high-falutin’, but plays were the first type of drama. They’re just movies set on a stage, after all.
And nowadays, some have some pretty spectacular production value.
Hobbies to Do With Your Partner
40Ballroom Dancing
Sure, you’re looking for hobby ideas for men.
Because you’re a man. But it might be a nice idea to get your girl involved in your new interest too. And we don’t mean make her get into dirt biking.
Strengthen your relationship while at the same time racking up some serious boyfriend or husband points with a little ballroom dancing.
41Salsa Dancing
Ballroom not really your style? Are you more of a quick-footed, red-blooded Latino type?
Then maybe you could give salsa dancing a try. There are plenty of clubs and groups, most meet in bars and clubs.
Sure, it might feel weird to begin with, but it’s great exercise. Look at it that way.
42Interior Decoration
Maybe you could amuse yourself and your lady by renovating a room at home.
Do some research, pick some colours, design some things.
You might find you’re more creative than you ever knew.
43Traveling
CLICK TO TWEET
Traveling really is one of the best things you can do in life, for so many reasons.
There’s plenty of fun to be had abroad. And maybe this is a bit weird, but I kind of enjoy planning the vacation as well.
You know, scoping for hotel deals, checking what’s going to be on when I’ll be there, packing my suitcase…okay that last one’s going too far.
Looking for destination ideas? Check out this list we put together for guys with partners, and this one for fellas who are flyin’ solo.
Oh, and be sure to check out Hotwire if you’re booking hotel accommodation. If you’re willing to gamble slightly on which hotel you get, you can save a crazy amount of money.
Hobbies to Do With Friends
445-a-Side Soccer
If you and your buddies just meet up and sit around drinking, maybe there’s something a little healthier you can do together that will give you all a new hobby at the same time.
And team sports make sense. Scaled-down soccer with five on a team is great fun.
Play once or twice a week and you’ll be fit in no time. And you’ll have a lot of fun in the process.
Remember though, no one likes a diver.
45Ten Pin Bowling
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSV1c2eVkEM
Soccer not really your bag? Looking for something a little more relaxed?
If you’re more into silk shirts, hot dogs, and bottled beers, then get you and your boys (it can also be fun with another couple) signed up to a local bowling league.
46Paintball
If you love Platoon and Saving Private Ryan, but the Army’s a bit too much of a commitment for you, you can always pretend you’re a war hero by getting a bunch of guys together and shooting each other with bullets made of paint.
It’s top fun, a great workout and you get to employ strategic skills. Oh, and shoot paint at people.
Food & Drink Hobbies
47Cooking
Being able to prepare food is a vital skill you should have down to some degree by now anyway.
But regardless of how useful you are in the kitchen, there’s always room for improvement.
And again, if you get really good – maybe you can take it seriously and consider a career in food.
Failing that, you’ll be a guy who can pull off a range of different meals with ease. How awesome is that?
48Barbecuing
So you like the idea of cookery, but you prefer being outside to inside? It sounds like you probably appreciate flame grilling a huge steak much more than you appreciate pea puree and celeriac foam.
Well, take up barbecuing! It might sound silly, but there are real serious BBQers out there who invest big money and time into being the Barbeque KING.
You too can win that title in your neighborhood. But please note, if you win it, we can’t guarantee your neighbors will kneel on sight of you (like they should).

49Alcohol Appreciation
Sure, you like drinking beers and enjoy the odd bourbon.
But perhaps you could read up on wine or liquors and learn their tasting notes and get a cabinet going. Become a connoisseur.
Don’t be a douche about it with other people, though. No one likes that guy.
50Brewing Your Own Alcohol
Carrying on the boozefest, brewing your own beer is a top hobby.
It’s a little like chemistry or alchemy. But at the end of it, you’ve got a whole keg or two of beer to drink.
51Distilling Your Own Spirits
Once you’ve read up on spirits and brewed your own IPA, now it’s time for the big boy stuff.
Make your own liquor. Create a headache-inducing moonshine if you like. Or get smart and create a beautiful Scotch.
It’s up to you how seriously approach it.
52Making Your Own Hot Sauces
So, you can cook, you can brew, you can distill.
Now for the ultimate manly food and drinkability… Creating a patented hot sauce that works great with food but is spicy enough to kick even the cockiest pal’s socks clean off.
Classic Hobbies
53Camping
An old style and very manly hobby, heading out into the woods with a tent and tins of beans is classic leisure.
You might want to go with friends or family. Or go full survival mode and try it on your own.
Learn to start a fire while you’re there. It’ll be rewarding. And warm.

54Hunting
Again, this is very old school.
If you’re okay with the idea of sending out bullets to rip through the flesh of defenseless animals, then this might be for you.
Fun, no doubt. But whether it’s moral is It’s open to debate.
55Joining The Freemasons Or Similar
Fraternal societies like the Masons have kept men busy for centuries.
There are rituals to learn and people to meet. You can also find out if they really influence world events too. Bonus.
56Model Building
Most young boys will have played with or even built a few simple models as kids.
But that doesn’t mean it’s strictly a childish pursuit. Model planes and boats and things can be huge and enormously complicated. They can take ages to put together and require great patience, skill and resilience.

57Hiking
If you like to keep fit and get outdoors, hiking is the pursuit for you.
It’s basically just walking, but in the countryside.
It’s good for the heart and you’ll discover the secret spots of nature within your local area.
58Being a Dandy
A little niche, this. But there’s a sub-culture of men who are all about the ‘Classic Man’. The dandy. The gentleman.
They wear sharp three-piece suits, slick their hair back and smoke pipes.
It’s fairly heavy, but if you appreciate all things retro, you might enjoy it.
59Fishing
Now we’re talking, huh? Fishing is the ultimate gentlemanly hobby.
Nothing makes a man feel more like a man than casting a line and successfully landing a fish.
It can be expensive to get all the gear, but we suggest you just borrow a rod for your first time. See if you like it.
60Cigars/Pipes
If you don’t smoke or can’t stand it, then obviously, this won’t appeal.
But traditionally, a man would smoke. If youu’re inclined to toke, maybe cigars and even pipes might appeal.

This might not be the most popular option on our list, but it’s a classic male pursuit, for sure.
All you need is a big leather glove. Oh, and a falcon.
Animal Hobbies
64Bee-keeping
Alright, you might not fancy this suggestion all that much.
We get it. It’s weird, right? Dressing up like an astronaut and fiddling around with bees… But just think of all the free honey.
65Animal Rescuing
If you love animals, there are lots of ways of turning that into a workable hobby.
You can volunteer to help animal rescue charities. Or, if you’ve got the time, money and land, you could even set up something that helps abandoned pets.
66Dog Training
If you understand dogs and fancy imparting a little of your knowledge to dog owners, training dogs and helping their humans can be fun.
And you can even earn a little money on the side. Or you can just adopt some mutts for yourself and just train them to the max.
67Keeping Fish
Did you know that staring at fish can reduce blood pressure, stress, and even minimize insomnia?
While that’s pretty awesome, it’s also pretty fun to build and maintain the tank, and learn about different fish.
If you’re interested, start with a small tank and see how you find it.
68Bird Watching
Get some binoculars and look at some birds.
It’s as simple as that. Give it a flap.
DIY Hobbies
69Carpentry
The great thing about taking up DIY-based hobbies is that they can be fun and you can really see the benefit.
Learn a little woodwork and just think of the home improvements you could make.
70Lock Picking
We’re not encouraging you to become a cat burglar in your spare time, but locks are quite fun.
Each is a riddle begging to be solved. Learn to master them and never pay for a locksmith again.
71Gardening

Scientists are finding evidence that gardening provides numerous human health benefits including reduced depression and anxiety. And as we recently explored, depression and male suicide is a real and growing problem in the world.

72Metalwork
Like with woodwork, if you can get into being able to work with metal, you might be able to carry out some home repairs for free.
Or just learn to create some cool artwork.
73Car Restoration
While you should already own a basic set of tools, learning how to fix your car can be enjoyable and save you a lot of cash on mechanic bills.
Plus you can buy old vehicles for cheap, tweak them a bit and sell them on. Fun and a potential money spinner.
74Motorcycle Restoration
Don’t dig cars, or prefer half the amount of wheels?
Then the same rules as above apply. Just with motorcycles instead of cars.
75Furniture Restoration
Maybe you like the idea of restoring beaten-up old classics, but aren’t mechanically minded. Taking old furniture and restoring it could be your thing.
Again, there’s cash to be made here too.
76Glass Blowing
Ever fancied making your own glass vase? Well, us neither.
Still, though – it’s an idea.
Cheap Hobbies
77Card Games
Play with pals, practice on your own, maybe even just learn to shuffle well.

79Photography

84Drawing/Writing Comic Strips
First of all. If you’re a comic book fan, don’t worry – we won’t tell anyone…
But if you do dig reading comic books, why not try writing and drawing your own strip? You might be the next Stan Lee. Or Stanley (that’s Stan Lee’s next-door neighbor who can’t draw comics).
Weird Hobbies
85Collecting Things
We’re not encouraging you to become one of those weird hoarders you see on TV, but starting up a little collection of something you’re into can be fun.
Before you start collecting though, we suggest you:
a) Make sure you have room for it all, and
b) Run it past your partner if you have one.
86Tomahawk Throwing
What? This section is called ‘Weird Hobbies’…
Knife or tomahawk throwing isn’t your run of the mill pursuit, we know.
But that’s the point. It’s quirky. But a real thing. Men in the 50’s used to strip to the waist and chuck sharp stuff around all the time.
87Antiques
If you back yourself as being able to spot a bargain, and you’re capable of bartering and selling things on for a good price, then antiquing may just be your bag.
It may seem unusual, but it can be entertaining and you’ll learn a lot about history. It can even make you some serious cash if you’re good at it.
If you’ve ever seen American Pickers you’ll know what we mean. Yes, they close out some pretty big deals, but as they’ll tell you, there’s good money to be made on the small stuff, too.
88Metal Detecting
Again, metal detecting might not be the kind of new hobby you thought you were looking for.
There’s nothing all that cool about being the sort of guy who combs beaches looking for bits of scrap metal. But the moment you find a whole bunch of rare coins? You’ll be loving it.
89Stamp Collecting
Yep, stamp collecting.
Hey, it’s the world’s most popular hobby for a reason.
90Bonsai Trees
Because we’re told there’s something quite peaceful and charming about growing and nurturing and caring for a miniature tree.
They also help you fight common illness like fatigue, coughs, and sore throats. This one almost falls in the gardening category, but Bonsais look pretty cool and we wanted to give them they’re own day in the sun.
91Building Train Sets
So you thought metal detecting was geeky…
Look, odds are, we know this suggestion might not be for you.
But hey – some people like trains. Some people like miniature trains. Bobby Baccalieri from The Sopranos did, and so might you.
92Historical Reenactments
You know you’re fully immersed in the weird and geeky suggestions when you’re being told that maybe as a hobby you want to try giving historical war reenactments a go.
But if you like history and messing about in-field, it’s an idea. Just, maybe don’t tell your friends. Or any women you meet outside of historical reenacting. Ever.
93Train Spotting
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9773XbY5vA
Alright, now this is getting a little silly.
There’s virtually no chance this will appeal to you. It’s essentially standing around in the cold waiting to look briefly at a train. We’re struggling here to find the motivation.
But, still. Different strokes for different folks.
94Role-Playing Games
As you’re probably realizing, this section isn’t about being ‘cool’. We’re trying to hook you up with the perfect hobby. If you’ve got this far down our giant list and you’ve not found anything suitable, then we’ve got to dig deep.
And maybe RPG games are your calling.
95Magic
Magic can either be incredibly nerdy and lame or it can be spectacular and cool.
Learn a few tricks, don’t push them on your friends constantly, but a bit of sleight of hand is always impressive.
And there’s a whole world to learn about if you get into it…
96The Esoteric
Does reading up on the occult and about all things bizarre sound appealing? Then go nuts.
97Genealogy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_cfGoOaXR8
If history fascinates you and you’re a family man, then do a little research into your family tree.
A lot of people do it and get a real kick from it. And it’s understandable why.
You may track down a long lost relative and build an awesome new connection and insight into your background.
98Sewing/Knitting
Traditionally a women’s pursuit, you might think. And, well, that’s true.
But men knit now. And, in fact, men invented knitting. Specifically fishermen. So think again if you think it’s wussy.
99Meditation
If you’re stressed out and that’s why you’re looking for a hobby, try meditation. Even if you’re not, it’s something worth looking into.
Meditation is known to reduce stress, improve concentration, and even slow ageing, to name a few.
100The Stock Market
You might need a few bucks for this.
But playing the exchanges can be a thrilling (if dangerous) game. Here’s a great article to get you started.
101Pottery
You know, making pots. There’s not much else to say here.
Just like Demi Moore in Ghost (except without the spirit of Patrick Swayze groping you).

Pelican Trailblazer 100 NXT
Tumblr media
Pelican Trailblazer 100 NXT is a 10-foot sit-inside kayak that you are very likely to see no matter where you go paddling. While this model is designed for beginner paddlers, it does have fans from all experience ranges. The reason is its value and stability. This durable kayak offers a spacious cockpit and generous storage space. It is very light and convenient for most calm-water outings.
Pros:
Great value Stable Easily manoeuvrable Padded seat and backrest Drain plug Large cockpit with a molded table Bottle holder Cupholder Multiple color options Storage net
Cons:
No waterproof storage compartments No paddle holder Does not like choppy water and strong wind Pelican International is known as one of the best-managed companies in Canada and considered a leading expert in thermoforming technology as a result of having more than fifty years of experience in small-boat manufacturing. Pelican combines innovative technology with proprietary materials to manufacture sturdy kayaks with impressive longevity and safety.
Size and Weight
Pelican Trailblazer 100NXT is 10 ft (305 cm) long, 28 in (714 cm) wide and 14 in (35.5 cm) high and it can comfortably seat one person. Weighing only 35.6 lbs (16.2 kg), this kayak is one of the lightest 10-footers on the market. Being almost identical in dimensions, Pelican Mustang 100X is 3 pounds heavier while kayaks from other brands are heftier still. In regards to width (28 in - 71 cm), being a bit narrower than the Mustang 100X or ARGO 100X (both 29 in - 74 cm), the Trailblazer 100NXT is easy to carry on your shoulder, even by women, making this small boat a reliable and all-round paddling partner. When compared to other Pelican kayaks of the same size, the Trailblazer with its 35.6 lbs (16.2 kg) is the lightest in the bunch: the Cove 100XP and Rise 100X both weigh 38lbs (17.2 kg), while the ARGO 100X is 41 lbs (18.6 kg). This feature allows the boat to be convenient for traveling, float better and to offer the paddler an organic connection with the water. Not to forget the ease to transport the kayak on and off the car, to and from the water.
Capacity
Kayak manufacturers consider many factors when calculating a kayak's load capacity. The primary three measurements that engineers integrate with their formulas are 1) Length, 2) Width and 3) Displacement or volume. In plain terms and without high-math calculations, it is best not to exceed two-thirds of a kayak's maximum load capacity. Every additional pound can influence the kayak's speed and performance. Trailblazer's load capacity of 275 lbs (125 kg) is rather standard in comparison to some of Pelican's other 10-foot kayaks. The reason why Mustang 100X and ARGO 100XP have 300 lbs (136 kg) load capacity despite being 10-feet (305 cm) long is the fact that they have a slightly wider beam and higher deck.
Construction and Material
Pelican utilizes the Twin Sheet Thermoforming (TST) technology building their kayaks from RAM-X™, a proprietary multi-layer very high-density polyethylene. This material is based on High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (HMWPE) that consists of three layers: In the first layer, the manufacturer adds vibrant colors, UV and scratch resistance. The second layer is the high-density plastic with an applied third layer of added sturdiness and durability for tremendous overall structural rigidity. The RAM-X™ displays considerable memory characteristics (the boat quickly regains shape upon violent contact), due to the TST production process. Namely, kayaks' decks and hulls are melded together during the thermoforming process, which results in added longevity, strength and impact resistance. The RAM-X™ polyethylene is a light but robust material that requires minimum care and maintenance. The two weaknesses it does have are: 1) in rare circumstances sharp objects can pierce it through; 2) it requires some skills, time and appropriate materials to patch a hole. Pelican International is candid when it comes to environmental awareness and giving back to nature. They put the money where their mouth is by manufacturing their kayaks with 99% recycled material gathered during the early stages of the production process.
Cockpit
Passionate multi-kayak owners unanimously agree on one thing: Pelican kayaks are recognizable for spacious and comfortable cockpits. You can rarely find a wider or longer paddling space in a kayak. Trailblazer’s cockpit is 42.5 in (108 cm) long, 20.5 in (52 cm) wide and 14 in (35.5 cm) high. Trailblazer's cockpit occupies a significant section of the vessel, making it easy to enter and exit while keeping the kayak well balanced. It comes with some exciting features such as the molded table with a bungee cord where you can strap a water bottle and a molded cup/bottle holder in the seat. Below the front deck, there is a tightly stretched net where you may want to keep your phone or other personal items easily accessible. Due to the particularly spacious cockpit without bulkheads, gear or camping necessities can safely be stored and protected from falling off into the water and bring extra stability with smart weight distribution.
Seat
The Trailblazer 100NXT offers some serious comfort with the ErgoBase™ padded seat and adjustable ErgoForm™ padded backrest. The cushioned seat with a molded cup holder, a cockpit table with a bungee cord, adjustable footrests and storage net all contribute to an enjoyable paddling experience.
Thigh Pads
Pelican Trailblazer 100 NXT does not include knee pads, which is understandable for such a budget-friendly boat. Admittedly, cushioned knee pads are always a useful feature to have in a kayak, especially for longer trips.
Footrests
Pelican Trailblazer 100 NXT features molded footrests with four predetermined positions. This construction is great when several people use the boat at the same time as you don't have to re-adjust the footpegs. However, there's always a risk that your ideal foot position will be in between the footrest positions. It is always a good idea to test those before buying the kayak.
Paddle Holder
Pelican Trailblazer 100 NXT does not have a paddle holder or even an indent on the cockpit rim to put the paddle across the boat. This is really a shame: a simple bungee cord-based paddle holder may seem like a tiny feature but it adds a ton of comfort on the water (think pausing to take a picture or a snack).
Storage
Pelican Trailblazer 100 NXT comes with basic storage options that won't impress anyone but should be enough for short recreational trips that this kayak is designed for. Starting with the bow, you get a small storage platform on the front deck secured with a V-shaped bungee cord. It is perfect for items you may need on the water, such as a rain jacket or a lunch bag. In front of the cockpit, there is a molded cockpit table with three compartments and a bottle holder. Another bungee cord holds everything in place. Depending on your height and how long your legs are, you may be able to put quite a lot of stuff inside the hull in front of you. Just make sure everything is inside a dry bag. Alternatively, you can use this space to add a float bag and greatly improve the safety of the kayak. Under the cockpit table, there's a small storage net for small items. At the stern, you have a decently sized tank well with two mesh covers above it. We prefer traditional bungee cords (and the Trailblazer used to have them up to 2018), but Pelican must have their reasons to replace them with the mesh covers. One thing we don't like about the tank well is that it is not separated from the cockpit. Any water that gets there will drain right on the seat and then into the cockpit. It does not just give a wetter ride but can be dangerous in some situations
Handles
The Trailblazer has two nifty ergonomic carrying handles located at the bow and stern positioned for two people to carry the kayak. However, being very lightweight, feel free to hold the kayak by any part of the body you find comfortable. In case you've had a long paddling session, dragging the kayak is also an option because of the material strength.
Stability
The Trailblazer 100NXT is a beginner-favorite due to the stability resulted from its hull design. The twin-arched multichine, flat-in-the-middle hull, accommodates inexperienced paddlers with safety and great primary and secondary balance. The 28-inch beam, as well as the overall even weight distribution, add to the kayak's stability and steady behavior out in the water. The Trailblazer is highly recommendable for children, as for adults. The only three situations that need to be avoided are tracking on rough waters, strong currents and winds. Each of these weather conditions can cause the kayak to capsize or fill with water. On the other hand, this kayak stays stable even on rough (class II) waters when steered by advanced paddlers.
Maneuverability and Tracking
If we look at the Trailblazer's shape, we can see that the bow and stern fade to a pointed keel which certainly assists during tracking. The kayak's smooth and narrow surface causes minimal traction on the water, cutting it effortlessly. As a result, the boat displays stable tracking in a straight line when paddling evenly. The Trailblazer is a very easy-to-master kayak due to the boat's responsiveness and straightforward maneuverability. Even if you're a long-time kayaker, it is always a good idea to put on a life vest while on the water.
Speed
The Trailblazer's narrow bow and stern and broad beam, predispose the kayak to pick up speed fast, maintain it while paddling, but slow down quickly due to being wide for a 10-feet long kayak. It does not have sufficient overall length to keep going with the same speed if not paddling. Although the Trailblazer 100NXT is not considered particularly fast kayak, it is capable of providing tons of excitement and speed in no time, as long as you paddle.
Durability
Pelican uses their proprietary RAM-X™ multi-layer, UV-stabilized and extremely impact-resistant material to achieve one goal - to produce kayaks with significant longevity. The results of the innovative RAM-X™ material are creating very light products (the TST technology uses less material per boat) that are very difficult to break or deform. In a rare situation, should the body gets a deep cut or a crack, patching it can be a laborious task. Trailblazer's material elasticity quickly regains shape even after a violent collision with a hard object in the water or ashore. Paying more attention to murky waters is a good idea even with such a well built kayak.
Care
The Trailblazer 100NXT requires minimal maintenance. However, to make sure that the kayak always performs well, here are some general rules to follow: INSPECT THE HULL AFTER EACH TRIP: Regardless of how uneventful the paddling has been, upon arrival home, always check the hull for cracks, abrasions or more serious breaches. Light nicks and scratches are a normal part of the experience. In case the hull has been dented or if you notice deep scratches, follow these instructions: The most effective way to patch a hole is to heat-weld new HWM PE or HDPE plastic piece into the cracks. It's best to use a flat surface such as a soldering iron by utilizing welding techniques to bond the material for an air-tight lasting patch. This procedure takes some skill but is a relatively simple process. Do not use chemical products or abrasives. If you haven't previously done similar reparations, we strongly recommend seeking professional help. INSPECT ALL MOVING PARTS AND RIGGING BEFORE GOING ON A TRIP: Always check the straps, buckles, hatch cover and cords if they hold a strong elasticity. If any of the moving parts become loose, it is better to replace them. HOW TO STORE YOUR KAYAK: Store your kayak on its side, never on the hull. To protect your kayak, provide shelter from the sun. To prevent heat build-up, do not cover the boat with tarp laying directly on its surface. Leave adequate air space to allow for air circulation. If possible, it is best to store your kayak inside for the winter. Don't allow water to accumulate between the deck and hull and freeze. ENSURE SAFE TRANSPORTATION: Transportation can cause damage if the kayak isn't fastened firmly. Make sure you load it and unload it with care.
Warranty
Pelican offers a limited lifetime warranty on its RAM-X™, RAM-X PREMIUM™ and POLY-XR™ boats (hull and deck) and a 1-year warranty on product parts and accessories. This Limited Lifetime Warranty is not valid unless registration is submitted within 30 days of retail purchase. You can register your product via their website (click here) or by completing and returning the registration card found in your owner's manual. You can find the complete terms and conditions of the warranty on Pelican's website. Read the full article

Best of London Outdoor activities
Tumblr media
London has more historical landmarks, art galleries, museums and attractions than is possible to visit even on multiple trips to the city. However, there is much more to the city also when it comes to outdoor activities and events. From taking an early morning dip in the Serpentine to white water rafting at the Lee Valley White Water Centre, there are loads of outdoor activities to enjoy.
Those visitors wanting to stay at a suitable location on a trip to London will find a wide variety of accommodation options. These range from Heathrow airport hotels to the centrally located Shaftesbury Hyde Park International Hotel in central London.
Some of the popular outdoor activities to be engaged in the city include:
Hyde Park: London is home to eight famous Royal Parks, with Hyde Park the jewel in the crown. It is the biggest and is a lush green open space with a variety of sports activities to take part in. The biggest attraction is the Serpentine Lake that people swim in the summer months and also can rent pedalos and go boating.  There are a lido and an open-air pool as well with early risers heading to in the warm months for a swim at 6 am.
Santander Cycles: Popularly referred to as Boris Bikes by Londoners, Santander Cycles is a low-cost bike hire scheme that is popular with biking enthusiasts in the city. It is an excellent alternative to public transport and there are in excess of 700 docking stations to rent them and return them across London. After registering with the company, all they need to do is swipe their card to rent a bike and after their ride is over drop it off at any of the stations. The perfect way to enjoy a ride and the beautiful sights along the city routes including hidden gems.
Lee Valley White Water Centre: The centre was purpose-built to host water sports events for the 2012 London Olympics games. Located in northeast London, it offers activities like kayaking, white water rafting, canoeing on the rapids, the same venue where Olympic athletes competed. There is the competition course for seasoned sports enthusiasts that are also open for beginners.
Hampstead Heath: For some of the best views overlooking central London head to Parliament Hill, the highest point at Hampstead Heath. It is popular with joggers, picnickers and dog walkers with summer being the time when locals head to the 300 years old open pools. There are 30 of such pools surround by vegetation with a mixed pool for both women and men and one for each gender.
WWT London Wetland Centre: A beautiful wildlife sanctuary, the WWT London Wetland Centre is popular with birdwatchers for the many species of birds that migrate to the area from other corners of the planet. There are feeding sessions when otters are fed and later one can head for a quiet stroll while passing lush green meadows along the way. There are voles, swans and dragonflies aplenty with various other bird species. Pop over to a secluded section with a pair of binoculars and enjoy bird watching in serene and scenic surroundings.

Just what Equipment Do You Want to Paddle Panel?
Just what Equipment Do You Will need to Paddle Table?
Tumblr media
inflatable platform Exercise Boards are becoming the brand new trend in water sporting activities. These people resemble a surfing aboard and in the actual beginning that is the content used to go paddle boarding. You would lay down on a browse board and paddle using your hands and feet out and about into the waves and so you could be in location to pop up on the board and trip the wave in. While paddle boards came straight into their own personal, races began to help only include the paddling along with not be concerned with the surfing. Then stand upward paddle boards became more and more famous. Upon these boards you remain up straight and confront the horizon. An lengthy exercise with an knee like bend over in the actual middle is used to help propel the board. The particular arm bend in the actual paddle allows you to generate very much more force compared to a straight paddle. As you exercise, you keep your view up instead of shopping at your feet or the water. This lets anyone see really your associated with and many men and women discover it a perfect means to do some backyard sight seeing. inflatable platform The very first as well as most vital piece connected with equipment may be the paddle snowboards themselves. Kayak manufactures in addition to paddle board retailers have a big selection involving design types to select from. Planks of fiberglass and epoxy are the particular most common type and they range from 12 to 20 feet in period. A new technology in which is gaining traction on the market is an epoxy search board that is brighter and tougher than often the fiberglass variant. Some sort of personalized made paddle board could cost from 1, 500 dollars to 3, 000 dollars. For the newer models, the grip pad is linked to the very best of the actual board to provide traction force. If a traction mattress pad would not come with your current Paddle Board then an individual will have to tart the actual board as an individual would a normal surfboard. Many surf retailers will book boards for beginners and which is a great means to find out what type is the right one for you. The length and width of typically the board will be entirely based mostly on the weight and height of the driver as well as the water conditions that you will drive with. The paddle for just a stand up Paddleboarding is different as opposed to paddles used intended for canoeing or kayaking. It has an angle within the shaft to allow with regard to maximum heart stroke efficiency. Often the right paddle for you personally will be from 6 to help 8 ins taller when compared with you are but a few degree of personal preference will probably go into the length as well. The only different required equipment is the personal flotation device. Given that the US Coastline Shield classifies the stand up Exercise Boards as boats, they will require you to have a PFD on a person at all times. At this time there is several optional tools to have together with you. If you are planning to help go paddle boarding with cold climates it is advisable to put on a wet go well with to prevent hypothermia. Also, often the glare off the drinking water will start to hurt your current sight, so a comfortable pair of sun glasses will be also recommended.

No gym required! Cat Smiley’s weight loss boot camp is 100% outside (even in winter)
The ethos of our wellness retreat (fitness programming).
Weight loss boot camp programs get you fit in a way that’s not only achievable, it’s rewarding and fun. Some of the top benefits of joining a wellness retreat like West Coast Fitness Vacations are that in just three weeks, magic starts to happen.
You can trust the results from your your training at WFV weight loss boot camp and wellness retreats. It’s hard to believe them at first, because they seem accelerated. And they are! While we know you’re not going to be exercising or training 3 hours per day at home, here’s the deal. Hunkering down and giving yourself a dedicated couple of weeks of full time workouts is smart. After your fitness retreat, you’ll feel positive about the change you’re making, motivated to continue.
As the Fitness Director of West Coast Fitness Vacations, (a wellness retreat travel company in B.C., Canada) my role is to create incredible and unique workouts. Our health retreat fitness programming is completely outside, rain, hail, snow or shine. My thought behind this one is that if you can exercise outside in the West Coast winter, you can workout anywhere and anytime. Voila, life-long exercising habits are born! And then of course, along came the pandemic and nobody really likes all the cleaning and group stuff we have to do.
And the bottom line, it’s just nicer, better, and more adventurous to make nature our gym. Our many happy health retreat clients agree – click here to hear their stories.
Ready to take a closer look? Let’s jump in.
In this post I’ll share our typical training schedule, so you can pick which wellness retreat vibes best with you. And right at the end, I’ll explain the science behind why our clients get such amazing results from just a few weeks at our weight loss retreats in Canada. You’ll learn more about:
What’s in the weight that you lose (not all of it’s fat)
Why cholesterol improves so much
The unlikely reason that staying focused is easier.
Why wellness retreats in B.C. are worth staying local for
Key differences in programming
West Coast Fitness Vacations has two distinctive styles of wellness retreats. Our weight loss retreat programs in Whistler have more focus on adventure activities.
Vancouver Island is a weight loss camp whereby outdoor exercise is king. We do this at gorgeous oceanside parks, fields, forests and on the beach. It’s a lot of fun.
In Whistler, we achieve our daily cardio quota with hiking, biking, and outdoor fitness classes. We also kayak one day a week. There are tutorials and workshops for each trip style, working through the curriculum that has become the blueprint of our wellness retreats.
Insiders scoop – curriculum will soon be made into a paperback book – Eat, Move, Learn. Guests of our wellness retreats will have first preview!
youtube
Outdoor personal training workouts that just make sense
Both Vancouver Island and Whistler weight loss boot camp and fitness retreat programs include outdoor personal training. In Whistler, this is whenever the occasion presents itself and in Vancouver Island it’s scheduled and structured.
These personal training sessions are with the other wellness retreat guests and vary, depending on what’s best. This could be some lower body strength training while the last person in the group catches up, or a stretch class in the forest.
West Coast Fitness Vacations uses a multiple activity workout schedule in small group format. These packages are set up with weight loss as the key focus, which means that everyone is working towards the same common goal.
Isn’t it too much for beginners?
Hey, I hear you. When you’re scrolling through your phone reading about a typical day at our weight loss boot camp, it seems a LOT. And it is – especially if you’ve done zero exercise in a very long time. Yet that’s why we need so much time. We need to take it slower than sometimes is expected. There’s time between workouts to assess and reevaluate.
I’ve been a weight loss coach and master fitness trainer for a while. I completely trust myself and my methodology with plus size fitness programming.
youtube
Weight loss coaching that you can trust
Your wellness retreat at West Coast Fitness Vacations will be detailed, strategic, intelligent, researched & personalized. In my role as a fitness leader, I’m continually furthering my education – staying on top of the latest research. That’s important to me, as I really want to give my clients the best possible solutions.
A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau for almost 20 years.
11 years of losing 1000 total pounds or more with my client base
Average weight loss (for clients 230-260lb starting weight) is 23 lbs per month.
Average time to lose 100lbs with me: 7 months and 2 weeks. I usually do 7 x 100lb weight loss projects per year.
I am writing this blog post and will also be your trainer while the pandemic is in effect. We’re operating with a maximum of 4 guests per session until September 2021. Then we’ll move to 6. This is because I’m being super careful with covid, and more guests means more staff…. More people overall. For now, I’m thrilled to be operating as the lead solo of my wellness retreat weight loss boot camp client experiences.
Whistler FItness Vacations is located at the Westin Resort and Spa, Whistler (above)
Multidimensional fitness programming
Whistler Fitness Vacations is definitely a boot camp weight loss vacation, but it’s a powerful place where you feel safe. Safe in your abilities to rise above preconceived restrictions that may have previously held you back from trying certain fitness moves. Safe from judgement.
Results at our weight loss camp in B.C. are accelerated as you find that stubborn person inside you and convince her to be an athlete. By continually bringing new sequences to your workouts your body experiences targeted strength and dramatically improved athletic performance.
You’ll prevent injuries and build multiple foundations of fitness with carefully designed combinations of 5 different fitness classes and small group personal training. Our most popular classes include Learn to Run, Sports Stretch, Water Boot Camp, Athletic Conditioning and Strength Training.
While classes are mostly scheduled outside, if extra modification is needed they will be run in a small group private training format. Small group personal training may be offered (no more than 4 guests in your session) at our beautiful partnership health club. Master new skills, push your physical limits and elevate your perception of what you can achieve!

You’ll never feel left out, or left behind.
“What if I’m the oldest, or most out-of-shape at your women’s fitness camp?”
“I don’t want to injure myself on a fat camp vacation! ”
“Imagine if I do all this work and still don’t lose the weight?”
“What if I put the weight back on?”
Most have asked themselves these things at least once during the signup process for our beginner fitness retreats. But if you have met our base fitness requirements, then we’ve got a program for you. We’ll teach you how to be compassionate with yourself, and that includes setting the right goals for where you are now.
Vancouver Island residential weight loss camp (biggest loser style) – 1-4 months
Low impact, high intensity workouts
The best wellness retreats know that beginner bodies don’t work at the same speed sometimes, as beginner enthusiasm does! For that reason, our weight loss retreats for women prioritize weight-bearing exercises (such as hiking).
These activities will strengthen and build your bones – an excellent way to slow down bone loss as you age.Walking is easier for most guests at our luxury fitness retreat programs, but often their fitness is too high to get the cardiovascular benefits that running could. Yet their bodies don’t like running due to prior injuries or restrictions, so we make it amazing with incredible hiking routes and high-intensity hills.
Whistler guided hiking tours are a popular program at Whistler Fitness Vacations. These can build up to running for a few minutes on the flatter terrain – the dirt trails are nice on the joints. We also go on big walks around the famous Valley Trail of Whistler, our stunning pedestrian road that winds 40 kms. around rivers, lakes and forests.
You’ll improve quickly at our health retreat. Each day on your outdoor fitness retreats, you’ll be challenged to the next level. You’ll use new muscles and work your heart and lungs harder, building your fitness with fast progression.

Whistler Fitness Vacations includes biking and fitness kayaking as part of it’s multi-adventure weekly activity. Water boot camp is scheduled during off-peak hours, when the pool is quiet. It’s a way to cool off while getting your ‘cardio quota’ after a big day in the mountains!
7 great reasons why a wellness staycation In Canada is more enticing (than ever)

Fitness kayaking in the glacial lake
Fitness kayaking in one of the valleys most picturesque lakes is one of the best aerobic workouts of the week. With kayaks and life jackets to fit all sizes, even if you’ve never paddled, stable single boats and detailed instructions will get you quickly confident. Professionally qualified kayak instructors from Whistler Eco Tours (our partners) are on hand for tips as needed. Kayaking is unguided free time for you to enjoy.
Water boot camp at the Westin Resort & Spa, Whistler
When the pool is quiet, we offer this class with our guests who are staying at the Westin. This high-intensity zero impact class uses barbells, buoyancy belts, and resistance fins. We keep your head above water and your heart in the cardio zone throughout. The forgiving water environment lets you sprint, jump and do exercises that you never thought possible.
Signature wellness retreat workouts
Below are my four top classes at our wellness retreat programs.
Athletic Conditioning. During your fitness retreat, you’ll learn techniques and form to improve overall athleticism. Using medicine balls and fun training tools (such as hurdles and ladders) these workouts are fun, empowering and playful.
Learn To Run. If you feel stuck in a fast walk then this workshop will be truly transformative – it’s one of the most memorable workshop! You’ll learn the adaptive form of gentle jogging that will elevate your heart rate without putting pain or discomfort on your joints.
Sports Stretch. Our stretch classes are truly an inspiring experience, especially when we get to go onto the Lost Lake dock surrounded by water! We’ll teach you easy-to-follow routines that will drastically improve your mobility, with yoga inspired moves that are adjusted for you.
Strength Training. We’ll introduce you to the basics of strength training with simple exercises that you can do at home. Outdoor workouts are one of the best parts of your fitness retreat, and we also use the health club at the Westin sometimes. You’ll learn restorative conditioning exercises throughout your fitness retreat experience.
But won’t you gain all the weight back?
Depending on your starting point, you can expect to lose upwards of 20 pounds in your first month at our weight loss boot camp. This is both muscle glycogen loss and stored fats. Usually those that come to our health retreat with history of higher intake of starch-based carbs lose more – initially.
Similar to the carb loading principal before an athletic event – excess carb creates excess glycogen. Athletes can lose more than 10 pounds in a strenuous physical event, much of it, excess glycogen and sodium.
The same principal applies to your first couple of weeks at a fitness retreat.
Click here to learn about upcoming wellness retreats and weight loss camp programs.
Weight loss will be faster – and not all of it is fat
Exercise of any kind greatly increases your metabolism, as compared to being sedentary. At West Coast Fitness Vacations, you’ll be moving throughout the day. We do 3 hours training per day – regardless what wellness retreat trip style you choose. The Vancouver Island weight loss boot camp program is probably the most intensive exercise regimen.
The weight that you lose is safe and sustainable, even if it’s coming off quickly. Normally your body has two sources of energy, one from stored fats and muscle glycogen, the other from food you just ate. Your body uses the most readily available energy, those that are stored near and is within the working tissues, so fats are the one that would be burned first through exercise.
Nancy Snyderman, MD, a FITNESS advisory board member, editor-in-chief of BeWell.com, and chief medical editor for NBC news says it all.
“It’s pretty simple: You need to burn more calories than you consume in order to lose weight, Regular exercise blasts excess calories that would otherwise be stored as fat. Plus, you continue to burn calories even in the hours following your workout.”
Once your body has adapted to using this stored fuel through exercise, it automatically burns them – even when you’re resting!
Every change you decide to make is a step closer towards your goal.
In an interview with Dr. Carly Stewart, Medical Expert at Money Crashers Personal Finance,Dr. Stewart said that,
Generally speaking, you can expect to feel healthier and stronger after two to three weeks of exercise (along with a proper diet). However, you may not see any significant changes in muscle growth or weight loss (depending upon your goals) until after the first few months.
Low-Density Lipoproteins (LDL) or the bad fats are the ones that cling to the arteries and can cause heart attacks. They are decreased with the help of the good soldiers, The High-Density Lipoproteins (HDL) which are increased through exercise. “The right kinds of workouts, done regularly, can raise levels of heart-protecting HDL cholesterol and drop dangerous triglyceride levels.” – Robert H. Eckel, MD, professor of medicine in the cardiology division at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Increased focus, productivity and alertness
At West Coast Fitness Vacations, the daily workout schedule is what you might call ‘heart pumping!’ You see, training makes your body pump more blood to your muscles. This increases alertness especially during the first few weeks of exercise, consequently increasing brain function.
Dr. Stewart explained the reason why,
Exercise improves oxygen flow to the brain. It also helps the body release hormones that assist in brain cell growth. Additionally, it helps the brain with both learning and memory capabilities.
Exercise affects your brain both directly and indirectly. Exercise reduces inflammation, decreases insulin resistance and helps in producing new blood vessels in your brain. The indirect gains that you can get from exercising are that improved sleep, as you’ll have reduced anxiety and stress.
