Been thinking about how deeply the ninja were effected after both Nya and Zane died for the first time, leaving them grieving for months.

Then about how protective and concerned they were about Nya and Zane after they rescued/saved them from either the ocean or Chen.

And then thought about how in both instances, Nya and Zane had to sacrifice themselves not for Ninjago, nor because it was their duty, but because their siblings, their lovers, their family, would die.

And then, when they sacrificed their very beings for the sake of their safety, they both came back different them from how they once were.
