WLDKAT. Mushroom + Moss Moisturizing Gel Cream
Brand: WLDKAT.
Product Type: Moisturizer
Price: $10-15 USD*
Size: 1.7 fl oz
✔️Vegan ✔️Clean Ingredients ✔️Cruelty Free ✔️Sustainable Packaging
Star Ingredients:
Snow Mushroom: Adaptogen, balances skin, loaded with nutrients, super hydrator
MossCellTec: Antioxidant
Hyaluronic Acid: Hydrates, plumps
Texture: Cream
Feel: Tingly
Scent: 🌸
Results: This is a nice every-day moisturizer. It doesn't have the high concentration of snow mushroom extract like the mask does, so you're not going to have that same drenched feeling. It's better balanced. That being said, for me I found it to be a little on the dry side. Like, I wanted to apply a second coat.
It doesn't do much if you're looking for brightening or anti-aging effects, but it's a nice basic face cream. It will keep you hydrated. It's not going to really do anything else, and I'm not sure I'd recommend it if you have really oily, acne-prone skin. It's probably best for normal to dry skin.
Comps: As with the Starflower + Snow Mushroom Mask, there aren't a lot of direct comps. Well People Fresh Dew Snow Mushroom Gel Cream ($22/1.76 fl oz) and NYX Face Freezie Cooling Primer + Moisturizer ($20/1.69 fl oz) both use snow mushroom.
Some other adaptogen-centric moisturizers include Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Cream ($78/1.7 fl oz) and Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Hydra Burst Gel Lotion ($78/1.7 fl oz), which uses a combination of adaptogens; Youth to the People Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with ashwagandha and reishi mushroom ($58/2 fl oz), LAPCOS Chaga Rest Balm Cream ($42/1.85 fl oz) with chaga mushroom, DIME Dewy Day Cream with tremella mushroom and rosehip ($38/1.7 fl oz), I'm From Mushroom Collagen Cream ($35/1.7 fl oz) with 30% mushroom extract, Undefined Beauty R&R Gel-Creme with shiitake and tremella mushrooms ($28/1.0 fl oz), and Good Light Order of the Eclipse Hyaluronic Cream with meshima mushroom ($28/1.69 fl oz).
Moisturizers using moss as an active aren't plentiful either. MARA SeaDream Algae Cream ($64/1.7 fl oz) is one. Saturday Skin Waterfall Glacier Water Cream ($39/1.69 fl oz) is another. I also found Pacifica Comfort Space Skinflammation Mask ($15/2.0 fl oz), which is a nighttime mask used 1-2 times a week.
*WLDKAT. Skincare has gone out of business. Any products remaining are being sold through closeout retailers at highly discounted prices, which can vary. Typically, you will find them listed between $10-15 USD. Unfortunately, I can't find the original prices, but as this was a very 'buzzy' skincare brand, products were priced on the higher side.

Skin Cycling: What Is It And How Does It Work
Say goodbye to mundane routines because skin cycling is here. Amidst the pandemic when the focus moved from makeup to skincare, this skincare trend became a handy solution. A better approach in the skincare arena, using many products together can sometimes be problematic for the skin.
Using too many actives or relying on exfoliation a lot can damage your skin, resulting in redness, inflammation etc. This can further lead to skin barrier damage.
While skincare yes it the best solution for most skin related problems, even your skin needs some rest to reset once in a while. Exhibit A: Skin cycling. Give your skin that much-needed downtime with this skin trend. More like recovery for your skin, make this one a part of your routine.
What Is Skin Cycling Exactly?
Picture a skincare approach that has cycles, steering away from the conventional. This innovative four-night routine adds exfoliation, skincare actives and hydrating creams, strategically alternated for optimal impact. Skin cycling is a PM routine while your morning routine remains the same.
Benefits Of Skin Cycling
1. Restoration Of The Skin Barrie
Restoring your skin barrier is easier than ever with skin cycling trend. This approach focuses on delivering the nutrients and hydration your skin needs, turning it into an impenetrable shield against environmental foes.
2. Minimisation Of Adverse Effects
Tired of the fallout from your skincare routine? Introduce skin cycling to your plan. It helps reduce potential effects to skincare products. Irritation? No more.
3. Safeguarding Against Seasonal Challenges
Ever wish your skincare routine could adapt to the changing seasons? With skin cycling, it can. Use this method to fortify your skin against the challenges each season throws your way, ensuring you're always radiant, no matter the weather.
Skin Cycling Routine
Now, let's get down to the nitty-gritty—your skin cycling routine. Wondering what are the skin cycling steps? It's time to personalise your skincare journey and let your skin thrive on a tailored regimen.
Night 1
To initiate your skin cycling routine, consider introducing an exfoliant. Opting for a gentle exfoliating scrub for face holds significant merit. This step should seamlessly follow your initial cleansing routine, creating a structured skincare foundation. After the exfoliation ritual, prioritise the application of a moisturiser to lock in hydration and promote overall skin health. Beyond the removal of dead cells, exfoliation serves as a transformative process, refining skin texture and paving the way for enhanced absorption of subsequent skincare ingredients into the skin barrier.
Try: Active Skin Barrier Care Smoothing Gel Cleanser
Try: Clear Pore Facial Scrub
Night 2
Retinoid can be triggering for our skin sometimes and hence it is advised to be added the next day. Start by cleansing with a soothing face wash, followed up retinoid product and moisturiser.
Try: Refreshing Facial Wash
Try: Hydrating Gel Creme
Night 3 And 4:
These two days are crucial in terms of recovery. It’s a great time for your skin barrier to heal and the best kind of ingredients are Ceramides, Glycerin, Hyaluronic acid, Niacinamide etc. Try adding serum for combination skin, dry or oily skin based on your skin type. Don’t forget to include hydrating moisturisers into your routine infused with these ingredients.
Try: Active Skin Barrier Care Replenishing Cream Cleanser
Try: Booster Serum 3% Hyaluronic Acid + Vit B5
Try: Active Skin Barrier Care Restorative Rich Cream
Should We Try Skin Cycling?
According to skincare experts, individuals with oily or combination skin could reap substantial benefits from the strategic use of retinol and exfoliants. On the flip side, those with more sensitive skin are advised to tread carefully, as potent ingredients like retinol and chemical exfoliants may trigger unwanted reactions.
Whether you're a skincare novice or a seasoned veteran, the allure lies in its simplicity, offering an easy-to-follow schedule that maintains control, particularly for those prone to overindulgence in active ingredients.

Top 5 benefits of using a brightening face cream
Are you dissatisfied with your deeply tanned skin? Do you want to reduce the dark spots and pigmentation on your face? In that case, opting for a face brightening cream is a great idea. It offers a wide range of benefits and can actually help your skin retain its radiance.

Besides, it also brightens the skin by enhancing the radiance of your skin.
5 benefits of applying a brightening cream for face
There are multiple benefits of using a brightening cream for face. You can explore the lotus white glow range and check out the brightening cremes available.
Here are the benefits –
Smoothens the texture of the skin
One of the crucial advantages of using a brightening cream is that it smoothens the texture of the skin. As a result, you get soft skin that is smooth and looks refreshing. Moreover, it gives you a feel-good feeling. Check out the brightening creams from the lotus white glow range.
Reduces dark spots
Another benefit of using a brightening cream is that it works extensively to reduce dark spots and pigmentation. It evens the skin and ensures the production of melanin is decreased considerably. The result is that the skin looks fresh with reduced spots. However, it is necessary to understand that you won't get results in a day or two.
Improves the radiance of the skin
Brightening skincare products enhance the glow of the skin even more. The reduction of dark spots and removal of dust and dirt leads to youthful-looking skin. The more you feel confident, the more it reflects on your skin.
Decreases fine lines
The presence of oxidants in the face brightening creams aids in combating the signs of aging. It decreases the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, etc. Now, you don't have to worry about the aging signs anymore! Opt for a day and night crème from the lotus white glow range.
Protection from environmental aggressors
Lastly, the brightening skincare products offer protection to the skin. For example, sunscreens contain ingredients that safeguard the skin from the harmful rays of the sun. Apart from that, it also protects the skin from different environmental aggressors.
How to pick the most suitable skincare products for your skin?
The availability of thousands of skincare products makes choosing one of them extremely overwhelming. Note these tips to make the right decision –
Understand the type of skin you have in order to make the best purchase. Not all products work for dry or oily skin.
Take note if you have any existing skin issues. In that case, you need to know the ingredients that can cause an adverse reaction and avoid them.
Check the ingredients list before buying them. Opt for paraben-free products for added safety.
If the product is causing irritation or redness, stop using it right away!
Are you eager to brighten the skin? Do you want to bring back the glow of the skin? In that case, you should checkout the Lotus Herbals white glow range. You can explore the different types of products available. For example, if you want a cleansing exfoliator, you can opt for the WhiteGlow Vitamin-C Radiance Exfoliator. On the other hand, if you are looking for face oil, choose the Lotus White Glow Vitamin-C + Gold Radiance Face Oil.

Skincare Routine
It's best to conduct a double cleanse with our Pollution Defence Cleansing Balm and African Black Cleansing Potion. Use a Skin Tonic after that to help decrease open pores, regulate excess oiliness, and leaving your skin looking dewy and moisturized.
Our Under Eye Elixir nourishes and moisturises your sensitive undereye area. And the Face Creme is a potent blend of medicinal oils suited to your specific requirements. For the best effects, repeat this procedure in the morning and before going to night. The most straightforward, but effective, technique for getting an Aca healthy glow is to perform regular skincare at home using high-quality products.
Begin your daily skincare routine at home by removing any dirt or makeup with a mild cleanser that is devoid of surfactants. We choose 'oil washing' since it is natural and has been used for millennia, as opposed to sulphates and surfactants, which have been linked to detrimental side effects.
A consistent skincare routine at home is the first step towards healthy, radiant skin. Your skin is exposed to a range of pollutants and dangerous substances throughout the day, which can cause damage, breakouts, and premature ageing.

hi darling!!! hope you're well! <3
7. hair-ties or scrunchies?
hair ties. i wanna be a scrunchie girl cos i think they're so cute but i look v young for my age so i dont think it helps!
13. when was the last time you ate?
i had a cookie with my coffee about an hour ago. my colleague is leaving so we all brought in snacks! im going for dinner with my bestie tonight too and i'm starving already haha.
19. what hair products do you use?
oh boy haha. i have a hair routine. i use loreal elvive shampoo and conditioner, the orange one for damaged hair. then i put on heat defence spray from tresemee, and the sometimes sea salt spray or curl creme depending on what i'm feeling (the curl creme is more moisturising so i use it if my hair is feeling drier.) then midway through blow drying I put on this "healing oil" i got from an apothecary in canada, which you can use on hair and skin! for some reason, if i put it on before blow drying it makes my hair too oily and same as if i put it in after, but mid way through drying works and honestly my hair has never been softer.
34. is there a song you know every word to by heart?
lots of taylor swift songs. but The Best Day I could write down for you the whole way through without needing the song on behind it to remind me. that song is etched in my brain.

The Young Royals defies normal onscreen makeup rules. Here the show's makeup artist Anna Mirow explains why
All products featured on Vogue are independently selected by our editors. However, when you buy something through our retail links, we may earn an affiliate commission.
You’ve probably never heard of Anna Mirow. But we’re willing to bet that you’ve seen her work and the characters she’s made up who have put their best faces forward on screen (literally).
If you’ve ever seen the movie Salmon Fishing in Yemen, It: Chapter Two, or the TV series Before We Die and The Box, then you’ll already have experienced a bit of Mirow magic. But it’s her work on the Young Royals that is gaining this bashful makeup artist recognition for somewhat less conventional reasons.
Anyone who has tuned into the Swedish teen drama streaming on Netflix will have been struck by the distinct lack of airbrushing. From Prince Wilhelm of Sweden to Simon Eriksson, real skin is celebrated with oily patches, breakouts and scars on full, unfiltered view.
“So much effort went into making these characters, which I really think shows in the end result,” says Mirow. “I’ll always be thankful to the fantastic director Rojda [Sekersöz], who had a big vision that the characters should be as authentic as possible. 'If they have a scar, make it bigger,' she would say. We wanted teenagers to be able to relate to them and feel safe and empowered.”
These realistic depictions of skin on screen is something Mirow hopes will also contribute to a wider conversation about acne positivity.
Vogue Scandinavia caught up with Mirow to talk beauty standards and what techniques she used on set of the Young Royals…
What techniques and products did you use to realistically mirror teenage skin?
“I love skin and think it’s important to see natural skin on screen. We had a vision to let the viewers relate to real teenage skin in the Young Royals.
For most of the characters we used Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation as it has such good coverage. Sometimes we mixed it with Embryolisse Lait-Creme to get the skin to look more natural and a little oily. The latter was a real saviour in the cold Swedish winter.”
Is it harder to do this type of pared back makeup?
“It can be difficult to let things look natural. We’re all affected by beauty norms and we almost always see 'perfect' skin on screen. We have fans thanking us for showing real teenage skin but we also get comments from other fans, who are often older, saying that they don’t believe rich kids would need acne medication. It’s sad that these traditional beauty standards are so hard to break and I really hope we can normalise not having 30-year-old actors with Barbie-perfect features playing teenagers!”
What products did you use on each of the main characters?
“Makeup can be very simple but at the same time hold a great deal of meaning for the character. We tailored all the actors' makeup bags so they matched the characters, including fake braces, frizzy homemade hairstyles, expensive hairclips, wigs, lenses, nail art, small hidden tattoos, fake facelifts, face lace and glitter. In addition to Armani makeup, we also used products from Lancome, YSL, Pixi, Fenty, Milk, Maria Nila haircare and Sweed Lashes Lash Lift mascara, which I love! Prince Wilhelm We wanted to match the colour of Wilhelm’s hair and eyebrows with that of his character's parents. As the actor Edvin [Ryding] was in another production at the same time we used Benefit Gimme Brow Nr 3 and washed it out each day using a foam cleanser. For his face we used Embyolisse Lait-Creme mixed with Armani Silk Foundation Nr.5 and small amount of Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation in Golden Glow.
Simon Omar Rudberg, who plays Simon, has the most ridiculously smooth skin so we had to add on scars to make it look less airbrushed and paint bigger eyebows. For his amazing curls we used Maria Nila Curlicue Cream.
Felice For Felice we used a lot of Fenty, Milk and Pixie makeup and, very importantly, the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Moisturising Lipstick she uses on screen. A big story line is that she will go from straightening her hair every day to letting it go natural so of course we included her Versace hair clips in her kit. Madison We always made sure we had fun earrings to put in her different hairstyles and face lace stickers. Like all the other characters, Madison’s base was Armani foundation and rouge, as well as Natasha Denona eyeshadow and Pixi Natural Brow Duo.
How do you feel about beauty standards in teen programmes?
“I think that today's standards and the beauty norms that are portrayed in different TV shows and movies are often unrealistic. It sends out a really bad message to young people. We made it a priority to stay realistic in the Young Royals.”

So I was talking with @mejomonster about skincare the other evening/day and I thought I would share some of the skincare that I use. Now, my skin is pretty oily and sensitive and this is what I found works best for me (might not work for everyone, but it works for me) (you will also find that majority of my skincare is Korean and again, that’s just because Korean skincare works best for me)
So for cleanser, I use this:
White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam
I like it, it’s really gentle on my skin. I normally use it in the morning with a Clarisonic brush and I find that it gets my skin really clean
When removing my makeup (if I decide to do a full face):
Rice Water Bright Light Cleansing Oil
Again, really gentle, really gets the makeup off. And I normally double cleanse whenever I wear makeup, so I use this first and then I’ll wash my face with my face wash
As for my actual skin care, I usually don’t do it in the summer as again, oily skin and because I don’t hardly ever leave my house other than to buy groceries or to run errands. But anyways.
So, I use the Pomegranate & Collagen line from The Face Shop and this is their toner and emulsion, which is what you use before you put on moisturizer. I also use The Ordinary Glyoclic Acid 7% Toning Solution but this I use more for my dry scalp (which I learned from an instagram post) whenever it gets pretty bad.
As for moisturizer, I interchange between the Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Face Butter and the KEYS Soulcare Skin Transformation Creme. They’re both really moisturizing and hydrating so it’s great for the winter whenever my face gets really dry (and winter is normally the only time I actually do my skincare because my skin HATES the cold)
Finally, I use either the innisfree Daily UV Defense Sunscreen (SPF 36) or the Ph. Hubby 1g Sun Cream (SPF 50). Both really great sunscreen and they don’t leave a white cast (for people with darker skin, I don’t know how true that is but on me they don’t leave a white cast). They’re both also super lightweight so it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing sunscreen at all (which I like because I hate the feeling of sunscreen on my skin)
Anyways, this is my skincare that I use (whenever I actually fucking remember to do it/use it)

Acne: Best to know for the Elimination of Chronic inflammatory Disease
Hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells resulting in inflammation, which leads to the emergence of whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples on the face, neck, shoulders, back, chest, and upper arms. Skin with these conditions is known as Acne. It may become chronic. Acne may affect people of all ages, it is most common among teenagers or during puberty when sebaceous glands secret more hormones. Generally, acnes are not that dangerous or painful, rather they are irritating and disturbing as they damage skin smoothness by leaving skin scars.
Causes
Suffering from acne starts as adolescence begins. The level of a hormone named androgen rises at this stage that directs oil glands under the skin to wake up. This gland produces sebum or oily liquid enough to break down cell walls making a way for bacteria to grow. Skin pores are connected to oil glands through follicles. For any reason, if the follicles are blocked oil got stuck under the skin, and pimples start arising.

However, people also experience acne -
During the menstrual cycle, birth control, pregnancy, and hormone therapy.
With medication containing androgen and lithium.
For the usage of greasy cosmetics, cleansers, lotion and, squeezing pimples.
During stress, humid, and sweat conditions.
For hereditary reasons, some people are naturally susceptible to acne.
Symptoms
Physiological symptoms are not viable because of acne rather it causes mental distress due to its impact on appearance. Skin scarring is easily visible. Acne in its most severe form produces cysts and nodules with inflammation. Scars could be red or raised. Depending on the type of acne small, large or deep pits can be seen. A shallow depression in the skin can be produced due to chronic inflammation.

Remedies
We can do many things to fight against acne unless it comes due to hereditary reasons or naturally with hormonal secretion. However, natural medicines, as well as skincare habits, may help eliminate acne. The suggestions are as follows:
Keep your skin clean when exposed to sun, dirt, or sweat.
Wash your skin at least two times a day.
Never scrub your skin.
Use alcohol-free natural products to clean your skin.
You may use FDA approved natural ingredients-based cream to eliminate acne. Some skin gets good results with that creme.
Avoid making your skin reddish with anything artificial. These make acne worsen.
Use a blend of raw turmeric and neem. Use lukewarm water to wash it.
If you have dandruff or oily hair, shampoo daily.
Nowadays, dealing with acne is not a big issue. In worsening cases, dermatologists can help with corticosteroid injection, antibiotics, topical antimicrobials, isotretinoin or even using a laser.

DUde, can you pls share some of your skincare tips or products you use that you love?? 🧡 also TREAT YOURSELF!
I have been waiting for this moment.
I’m going to put this under the “read more” bar because I want to pop off and I’m sure people are going to be like “wtf is this where are the daddies”, hahaha.
Okay so a preface. I have combination acne prone skin. When I was a teenager my skin was in such bad condition, I had such awful acne. I had to eventually go on a medication for it. I only started to have success when I got on birth control and about a year ago after learning about my skin more. Even with me learning about my skin...I am no professional lmao. This is just what has worked for me.
Okay so things I deal with: acne prone skin, hormonal breakouts, dark spots, undereye bags, and texture.
These are the products I use and the routine I go through each day...
Morning
I tend to just splash my face with water in the morning, I don’t wash it. If I do wash it (which I probably should more) I use this face wash by Cera Ve. I like it because it keeps my face soft and it isn’t harsh.
I then use a hydrating serum. My skin can get very dry in the winter and this was an extra step that I enjoyed. I’ll probably stop this step in the summer but I recently started only using this serum instead of a moisturizer. Idk! Up to you. I use this one by First Aid Beauty. Anything by this brand is so nice to your skin.
Then I use a moisturizer. I have been using this one by Glossier but it recently started like...pilling on my skin and I hate that so I bought this one by Freck yesterday with high hopes. The Glossier one was real good to me for a while!
Shower/Night
In the shower I wash my face using my face wash.
When I get out of the shower I use this toner by Mario Badescu and feel the burn in the best way. This probably transformed my skin the most within the past few months. My skin isn’t as dull and my dark spots aren’t as pronounced.
After that dries I use this moisturizer by Marc Jacobs and it is my current favorite, I’m obsessed. It leaves my skin so soft and it has helped with my texture so much. I prefer a gel creme over a lotion because of my oily t-zone.
I then use this eye cream by Tarte, which...I don’t have anything to say about it really. I’m not sure it has done anything lol. But I also started using this serum by The Ordinary and I like it! I’ve noticed a difference in the color and size of my eye bags.
Self-Care Sunday 😎
Set the stage for yourself, bb. I have my difuser, I lay all my shit out, I get music going, I take my time, I drink my coffee. This is your time!
I wash my face with normal face wash. I sometimes use an exfoliant but on this day I stick with the original.
After the shower and when my face is dry I use this enzyme scrub by Huda Beauty. Y’all. It literally sloughs off your skin and leaves it visibly cleaner and it feels so soft. Like your dead skin will just rub off onto your hands. It’s the best thing ever. And this one tube has lasted me a year.
Once my face is dry and I’ve cleaned all that off, I move to a mask, either a sheet mask or other. I like this one from Huda (but will use whatever I have) and I like the Bliss line of face masks.
After that I use my serums! The Ordinary eye one and then I use either this one or this one, both from Bliss. I use my little roller to put these on. I’m not sure if it does anything but I like how it makes me feel, haha.
And then I use a moisturizer! My Marc Jacobs one and for my lips my all-time favorite lip balm is this one by Glossier, mint or nothin’.
The one thing that I learned that helped me the most— my oily skin still needs moisture. It sounds so silly and counterintuitive but god, it transformed my skin. I also started shaving my face a few months ago with one of those little face razors and it has honestly helped with spots so much. My hair doesn’t grow back darker or thicker or anything either.
Skin care is so important to me, especially since I hate wearing face makeup, haha. And I don’t! I go bare face aside from concealer and blush and brows for the most part. I just bought this kit today by Sunday Riley though so tomorrow is gonna be lit and I’m so excited. Got a new coffee mug too!
This was so rambly and so long I literally got the the end and am thinking to myself, “I need to just delete this who cares” but I put so much effort into this! I’m posting it, haha. I hope someone out there enjoys it! 😂🙃💕

Daily Skincare Routine at Home
A regular skincare practice at home is the first step towards healthy, bright skin. Throughout the day, your skin is exposed to a variety of pollutants and hazardous chemicals, which can cause damage, breakouts, and premature ageing.
Begin your daily skincare regimen at home by removing any debris or makeup with a surfactant-free, gentle cleanser. We love ‘oil cleansing’ since it’s natural and has been used for millennia, unlike sulphates and surfactants, which have known negative side effects.
The combination of our Pollution Defiance Cleansing Balm and African Black Cleansing Potion is an excellent double cleansing routine. After that, use a Skin Tonic to help minimize open pores, regulate excess oiliness, and give your skin a dewy, hydrated appearance. A drop of our Under Eye Elixir will nourish and moisturize your sensitive undereye. And the concern-based Face Creme is a potent blend of medicinal oils suited to your specific need. To achieve the best benefits, repeat this process in the morning and before going to bed. A regular skincare practice at home with high-quality products is the most basic, but most effective, approach to get a healthy glow.
