do y'all remember when hathras happened. or cab. or farmer's protests. wrestlers. assam burning. do y'all remember blackened newses happening three years ago (delhi danga, violence at jnu, college students protests, shaheen bagh, the lynchings) and then the way they trickled to a stop being shown in mainstream media. do you remember reporters and comedians and activists and teachers being locked for having an opinion against the power, until everyone simply became so afraid that it stopped happening. do you remember when votes were compromised, just sworn-in governments toppled bcs they were opposition. remember how houses were bulldozed over bcs they were of minority, of poor people. do you remember when they put kashmir under total lockdown, beseeching all human rights of expression and dissent for what was happening. do you know about manipur. do you know of the insidious way propaganda has seeped into this country. the polarization that is goal. how the media is a farce at best. of how much we are turning a blind eye to. this country is burning. the government is behind it all. do you remember of any time this government cared to listen from its people? would you remember?
#wow im so angry my hands are shaking#events#m#im too tired and time deficient to make a detailed post about the manipur incident but honestly i would love if somebody did

Rajpal Yadav's father, who was feeding his family in Tanghali, wanted him to study wrestling and well in another village. Rajpal Yadav was the best in research Rajpal Yadav also fulfilled his father's dream and decided to become his father's support after completing his studies. After completing his studies he took up a sewing job to earn his daily bread, but Rajpal Yadav found no peace in this job. He wanted to help his family, but seamstresses were never his passion. He always dreamed of becoming an actor. Under such circumstances, Raj Pal Yadav stepped into his world of acting. How Rajpal Yadav's Career Began When Rajpal Yadav entered the world of acting, he first studied theater acting at Bharatendu Natya Academy in Lucknow and National School of Drama in Delhi. After that, Governor Yadav decided to set foot in the Maya city of Mumbai. When he came here, he took many auditions one after another, wandered from door to door, but couldn't get a job. 5 Things That Every Open Micer Must Know Before Their First Open Mic
With Standup Comedy becoming a legitimate career choice in India, many young and old comedy aspirants will try their hand at comedy and light up the stage with their exuberance but all seldom goes as we plan, especially when it comes to standup comedy.
One of the greatest comics to ever get on stage Norm Macdonald once said “If you tell a joke and no one laughs, it’s funny” and the standup legend had his reasons. Here are a few tips for virgin open micers which might come in handy when the nerves are high and heart is beating so fast as if there is no tomorrow.
Write a few jokes
Don’t forget to write a few jokes or at least note down the things that you feel are funny. You have to write a few jokes before getting on stage for the first time. You don’t know anything about being on stage and more often than not brain stops responding so knowing things you are about to say is a very secure feeling.
Yes, you’ll Bomb
Be ready for one of the most soul-crushing and humiliating experience where you feel like turning into an ostrich and burying your head under the ground, this phenomenon is called bombing and it’ll happen more than anything that has happened in your life so far hence make yourself familiar with this term, it’s going to be a part of your life from now on. But you know what there will be another day, another open mic and you might suck in the second one even more than the first time. This is natural and happens to every comic, so chill, trust the process and enjoy your time on stage.
Take care of the TIME
Comedians talk in minutes, so every second you spend on stage is crucial. Be very diligent with your timings reach the venue on time, don’t overstay your welcome and get down as soon as your 4-5 minute slot is over. Don’t try to run away if you didn’t do well. Stay there for the whole show and interact with everyone around.
Be who you are
Being an honest person on stage adds different dimensions to your onstage persona. It might be very tempting to be and act like a certain comic whom you love but get over these temptations and explore the deepest and darkest corners of your soul. Just remember that if you become like everyone else then who’ll become like you.
Talk to other comics
Believe it or not, stand up comics are one of the most helpful souls you’ll come across since most of them had the same issue they will truly understand a first-time open micer. Don’t hog them with your life story; keep your questions short and to the point. Take care of time, come back from stage when your 4-5 minutes are up, there always be another open mic.
Standup Comedy is a skill that you need to hone. If you call something “art” then understand that you won’t become an incredible artist overnight. Be humble, have patience and avoid any kind of unrealistic expectation, just make sure that your first mic is not your last. Visit Comedy Munch to get updated with upcoming events for open mic in Delhi NCR.
