Category: Romantic Fluff
Fandom: My Hero Academia
Characters: Shoto Todoroki, Momo Yaoyorozu
Hey, everyone! I'm happy to present the piece I wrote for the @todorokibigbang! Enjoy some TodoMomo wedding fluff <3 Also, be sure to check out the absolutely stunning art by my partner, @danyartime!
Shoto sucked in a deep breath as he straightened his bowtie for the tenth time in the last minute, using his reflection in the mirror to ensure that the wine red accessory hugged the collar of his white button-down shirt snugly. As his hands fell, they automatically itched to smooth down the nonexistent creases in the thick, sleek fabric of his tuxedo jacket. He smoothed his palms down his front anyway, until they met the band of his black dress pants. Just as he began to wonder if he should re-shine his shoes, he realized just exactly where his mind was derailing and smiled sardonically to himself.
Natsuo told me about the pre-wedding jitters, but I never imagined they would be this bad.
Of course, Shoto had no compulsions to flee the altar; proposing to his soon-to-be wife was the greatest decision he had ever made. He would happily give her his heart, his world, everything he could offer, and more without sparing a second thought. However, as he stood there fidgeting in front of the floor-length mirror, listening to his groomsmen bicker and laugh in the adjoining room, Shoto would be remiss to admit that he wasn’t nervous.
He couldn’t help but wonder if he was deserving of all this— friends and family to surround him as he passes into the next chapter of his life and a successful career as a burgeoning pro hero with a sound investment in an agency that he, Izuku, and Katsuki were slowly building from the ground up—all of which he could share with his beloved. After all the trials and tribulations of his young life, it all seemed so… easy. Shoto was far from perfect and had his regrets, so how could this wonderful life just have fallen into his hands?
As he ruminated, he smacked his lips, his mouth going uncomfortably dry, eyebrows furrowed as he sipped at a bottle of water. Shoto had never entertained these thoughts before—not when he graduated, not when he broke out as a professional hero, and not even on his worst days when he couldn’t save anyone—so it was mighty conspicuous that his subconscious chose now of all days to second-guess himself. He scrunched up his face as he tried to will away the anxiety gnawing at his insides.
Ever since high school, you’ve worked hard to become who you are now. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t enjoy the comforts you slaved for… he told himself, but it rang hollowly in his heavy heart. He drained the water bottle and tossed it in the trash, grimace not leaving his face. His tongue still felt bone-dry and coated with ash. As he paced the small room, rubbing his sweaty palms on his thighs, there was a quiet knock at the door that led to the hallway.
“Hey, Sho, it’s us!” called Natsuo’s cheerful voice, followed by Fuyumi chirping a greeting. Running a hand through his hair and checking himself in the mirror to make sure he didn’t look too rattled, he hurried to the door and opened it. His elder siblings wore identical smiles as they looked him up and down.
“You sure clean up nice,” Natsuo grinned as he looped an arm around Shoto’s neck and tugged him down to affectionately ruffle his hair. “Look at you, so big now that you’re getting married, huh? Man, how time flies.”
Shoto grunted as he tugged himself away, indignantly smoothing down his hair. The strands were fine and ordered enough that he didn’t have to bother doing anything, but he didn’t want to meet his bride with flyaways sticking up all over his head. “Natsuo…”
“Hey, stud, not having any second thoughts, are you?” the white-haired man grinned playfully, nudging him with an elbow. Shoto blinked, floored by his elder brother’s sudden inquiry.
“What? Of course not!” he answered in bewilderment. Natsuo seemed entertained and had no implications that it was an inappropriate thing to ask.
“Good, good!” Natsuo chimed. He then glanced at Fuyumi as she began to sniffle.
“I can’t believe it… Our Shoto is all grown up…” she moaned and dabbed at the tears blooming in the corners of her eyes. “Next thing you know, he’ll be having babies and will slowly move out of our lives…”
Shoto turned beet red at the mention of having children. It wasn’t out of the question, but it certainly wasn’t on his mind right now, so it unnerved him a little to have it brought up in conversation. He swallowed the nervous nausea in favor of stepping forward to wrap his sister up in a gentle hug. He was taller than her now, so she could nestle right into the crook of his shoulder and cry.
“Fuyumi, I’m not going anywhere,” he laughed lightly. “You’re still my family. I know life gets busy, but I’m still going to make every effort to see you all.”
“Really?” Fuyumi gasped as her head snapped up. Shoto tried not to laugh at the black smudges of mascara under her eyes and smiled reassuringly.
“Of course,” he said before leaning down to kiss the top of her head. The sweet action made Fuyumi start blubbering again, and no amount of dabbing at her eyes with a handkerchief prevented the mascara from streaming down her flushed cheeks. Natsuo led her away to the bathroom, trying to suppress his snickers as Fuyumi wailed about “what a good young boy Shoto turned out to be,” and left Shoto in the doorway.
What a good young boy he turned out to be, her words echoed in the dark of his mind. Though her words should fill him with pride and love, the only thing that rose up within Shoto was the cold emptiness of doubt. He leaned in the doorframe as his breath left him in a heavy sigh, and he stared at the place his siblings had rounded the corner. Fuyumi’s crying face flashed in his mind.
Why was she crying in the first place? Why would she ever think that I would abandon them? The notion made nervous butterflies flutter in his stomach. Had Shoto perhaps been negligent with his family? Sure, they were the textbook definition of dysfunctional, but after his first semester at U.A., he’d done his best to try to mend their fractured relationship. Had he not done enough? Did Fuyumi really believe that now that he’d found a wife, he’d just make his own little family and forget all about them?
He scowled as that irritating dryness returned to his mouth, making him run a hand over his lips. His entire family would be attending the ceremony today. He thought that was because they were there to support him, but could it be mere pretense? Or worse, did they all believe that after today they would see less and less of him until routine visits became replaced with excuses? He squirmed in the doorway as a pang of guilt began to prickle at him.
Before he could dwell on that unsettling thought, someone called his name from down the hall. He looked up to see the looming bulk of his father striding towards him. Shoto involuntarily straightened up, blinking as Enji came to a stop in front of him.
“Hello, son,” Enji coughed uncomfortably, tugging at the baby-blue tie tucked into his gray suit jacket. Shoto could tell that Enji was trying to hide his nervousness by the way he kept his head held high and the nervous twitches in his face muscles. Even now, after Shoto had grown into a young man, their relationship still had its strains, yet Shoto wasn’t petty enough to deny his father witnessing his marriage, so he’d still invited him. Enji’s eyes raked over him before giving an approving nod. “It suits you,” he said with a vague gesture to his tuxedo.
“Thanks.”
Enji shuffled his weight from one large foot to the other, chewing on the inside of his cheek as he struggled to gather his words. “Father, is there something you want to say?”
“I, uh,” Enji gulped and scratched at his close-cropped auburn hair. “I just wanted… I just wanted to tell you… how proud I am of you, Shoto,” he mumbled, voice dropping with every word. Shoto’s face blanched in shock, causing him to just stare dumbly up at his father. Enji continued to fidget nervously, fumbling through his fatherly dotage. “You’ve, uh… You’ve come a long way. I know that a part of you will never forgive me for what I’ve done, and I know now that the way I treated you was not right. I’m, uh… very grateful that you’re even allowing me to be here to see you get married.”
“Father, it’s not—”
“Please let me finish,” Enji blurted, going a little pink in the face. Shoto nodded respectfully, and Enji grumbled under his breath, “How should I say this?” He contemplated anxiously for a moment before continuing, “You’re a fine young man and a fine young hero, a better one than I ever could have dreamed of, and you did that all on your own. Even if I don’t deserve it, it’s an honor to call you my son.”
Shoto’s throat bobbed as it grew a little tight.
“Thanks, Father…”
“I know you’ll go on to do amazing things,” Enji said, seeming to relax as Shoto didn't outright reject his sentiments. He laid a large hand on Shoto’s shoulders. “You’ve made a promising career for yourself because of your hard work in school. Japan couldn’t ask for a finer hero.” Enji held onto his shoulder a second before he coughed uncomfortably and retracted. “I, um… I had better go now. Sorry if I interrupted anything.” It looked like he wanted to embrace Shoto, but he merely offered him a handshake. Shoto shook his hand, still slightly dazed from his father’s emotional speech, and then watched him head towards the entryway.
Enji paused and looked back at him with knitted eyebrows.
“Are you… Are you all right, Shoto? You seem tense. You aren’t having any second thoughts, are you?”
There it is again… Why was everyone asking that? Was that just a thing people asked the groom on their wedding day? Was it really that common for grooms to leave their brides?
“Of course not, Father. I couldn’t be happier.”
Enji nodded thoughtfully, staring at him a moment, before uttering a terse, “Good.” Then he was gone, and Shoto was alone again.
Japan couldn’t ask for a finer hero.
Well, Shoto certainly didn’t feel very fine right now. Shoto had to crawl his way up to the top alongside his classmates. He thought of Fuyumi, of how she’d cried and begged Shoto not to leave them. Maybe he was devoting too much energy to his career. What would the adoring public think if they learned that Shoto was forsaking all the important things in his life to be the best? They’d call him an egotist, for sure. Was that what he was?
Once again, he thought about how easily everything seemed to be falling into place. Could that be because Shoto was sacrificing other things in the process? Or worse, was this “vision” of his easy life all an illusion?
What if all of this isn’t as it seems, and I really don’t deserve any of it?
Just as panic began to pump through his system, he was jolted out of his thoughts by the door to the adjoining room slamming open. He whirled around to see Katsuki stomping into the room, his face nearly as red as the wine red of his boutonniere. The volatile blond was dragging Shoto’s best man in by the collar, clearly to complain about something he didn’t approve of.
Shoto raised his eyebrows as Katsuki slung a very frightened Izuku to the ground in front of him.
“K-Kacchan! It’s not that serious!” the green-haired boy whined as he rolled over to sit cross-legged on the floor and pout. Katsuki snorted haughtily and craned up his head, nose upturned so far that he was nearly looking at the ceiling.
“Idiot! I’ll never understand why this Icy-Hot bastard chose you as his best man! Do you know what this loser just suggested?” Katsuki accused with a sharp point at the sulking Izuku while he rounded on Shoto. Nonplussed, Shoto just shook his head. “‘Hey, why don’t we send Shoto to check and see if the girls are ready’?” Katsuki mocked in a high-pitched, squeaky rendition of Izuku’s voice. “Moron!” Katsuki yelled and leaned down over Izuku, hands on his hips while Izuku blushed and rubbed at the side of his face. “Don’t you know it’s bad luck for the groom to see the bride? A best man would know that!”
“I just wanted to make sure everything was coming along well,” Izuku explained meekly. “If there was a problem, I wanted to make sure we knew about it and could plan accordingly…”
“Then send one of the other extras, not the fucking groom!”
As the two began to bicker back and forth, Shoto sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose and shaking his head. Honestly, he should have known better than to stick the two in a room together, but their venue didn’t really give them a choice. It was an antiquated millhouse fashioned into a wedding venue; the bridal party dressed in a small suite upstairs from the main floor where the wedding would be held, while the men prepared in a small, two-room shack next door. They’d been charmed by the rustic and quaint nature of the venue, as neither of them wanted a grand affair of their wedding, but Shoto was beginning to wonder if perhaps they should have opted for somewhere with more space and privacy…
“Enough,” Shoto barked as his frustration reached a boil. Izuku and Katsuki both stopped mid-chatter to look at him with wide eyes. “I appreciate the sentiments, both of you, but I would rather not quibble on my wedding day, thank you.” He sagged a little as the weariness began to take its toll. Arguing was really the least of his problems right now, considering he was shouldering an existential crisis. Izuku and Katsuki both looked at each other before squinting at him suspiciously.
“Hey, you all right, man?” Katsuki asked.
“You seem tense, Shoto. Are you okay? You’re not getting second thoughts, are you?” Izuku gasped worriedly. He shot to his feet to grab Shoto by the shoulders. “Please don’t tell me you’re considering calling off the wedding! Don’t worry! Lots of guys get nervous with this kind of commitment! But please, remember that you love—”
“Izuku,” Shoto interrupted with a weary smile and gently pushed his friend in the chest. “I’m not having second thoughts. Please don’t worry about that.” As Izuku deflated in relief, Shoto wondered if he should tell his friends about his real doubts. After a microsecond of consideration, he decided not to. Katsuki would probably just tell him to man up, and Izuku would go on an entire blabbering speech, and that’s not really what Shoto needed right now. Smiling thinly, Shoto placed his hand on Izuku’s shoulder. “I’m all right, really. There’s just been a lot of planning and preparation today, so I just want things to go well.”
“Right! Of course! As your best man, that’s my job! I’ll go right now and make sure everything is in order, okay? Don’t you worry, Shoto, I’ll make sure this goes off without a hitch!”
Before Shoto could insist that it really wasn’t necessary, the green-haired boy had zoomed off, untied dress shoe laces flapping behind him. Shoto looked after him with a small chuckle. Izuku had always been a bit flighty, but he really was an invaluable friend to him, so that’s why he had been the obvious choice for Shoto’s best man. He couldn’t imagine anyone else standing next to him when he greeted his bride at the altar.
The doubt crept up into his mind with its poisonous whispers. Izuku was a good friend, but did Shoto deserve a friend like that? Had he even come close to repaying all the things that Izuku had done for him? The smile fell from his lips as the cold guilt flushed through him once more.
“Oi.”
Shoto looked at Katsuki with unfocused eyes, still half-brooding. Katsuki’s crimson eyes thinned into small slivers as he squinted suspiciously. “Seriously, Icy-Hot, are you okay? You don’t… seem like yourself,” the blond asked slowly.
Shoto’s eyes widened slightly in surprise. Katsuki was as prickly as his wild hair, so to have him so readily show concern and inquire about Shoto’s wellbeing definitely dragged him out of his stupor. Again, Shoto debated whether or not to come clean about the disordered mess that was currently his mind.
Shoto had never been much of a fibber, but for some reason, the lies rolled so easily off his tongue today.
“As I told Izuku, I’m fine,” he said smoothly, feigning a grateful smile. “I think all the wedding planning just caught up to me at once, that’s all. I’m sure if I just take a moment to relax and gather my thoughts, I’ll be alright. We still have plenty of time before the main event.”
Katsuki continued to eye him with his lips parted in a skeptical pout, but instead of prying, he just slowly nodded his head a few times.
“All right. If you say so. I’m gonna go make sure that loser doesn’t mess anything up,” he decided, brushing past Shoto to walk to the door. He paused on the threshold to toss a blank stare over his shoulder. “Don’t think too much. You’ve always been the type to get too in your head,” he advised before continuing after Izuku. Shoto went to step after him, hand raised, but Katsuki was already gone. His arm flopped back down to his side as he released a shaky breath.
“Maybe I am thinking too much…” he murmured to himself.
He’d like to convince himself of that, but that little beast inside him just snickered. Are you sure that’s not just another one of your lies? it taunted. He rubbed his neck as that ash-choking feeling returned, his body trembling with a few tight coughs. Izuku and Katsuki both seemed so concerned for him… Did he really deserve that concern? Maybe they weren’t really even concerned about him, but were more worried he’d take off and leave his fiancé a shattered, sobbing mess at the altar. Had Shoto been selfish in his friendships?
Had he been selfish in his relationship? Everyone kept asking the same question… What if they could see that selfishness and were on edge because they all kept thinking that he couldn’t stick it out, that he was too self-absorbed? Shoto’s breaths began to come in terse, ragged gasps as he spiraled into a self-esteem crash.
What was wrong with him? Why was he thinking like this? He pawed at his head with a small groan. Nothing made sense; everything was swirling around in his head like a whirlwind. He stumbled out of the doorway and slammed it shut in front of him before collapsing against it. The painted wood was cool against his flushing face.
Breathe. Breathe, he tried to calm himself, gulping down air.
It burned; his throat felt like it was drying up into a desert. Just as he stumbled into the center of the room, blearily looking for water, there was a soft knock at the door. It rang in his pounding head like a death knell. He clenched his teeth as he struggled to come down to earth instead of rocketing himself into the stratosphere.
I need… I need to calm down…
“Shoto?” his mother’s voice timidly called. Her soft-spoken tone sliced through the layer of anxiety clouding his mind, allowing him to descend back to reality. He closed his eyes as he composed himself, steadying his ragged breaths and slowing his heart rate. That’s right… I can’t… I can’t let her know I’m like this.
After he was confident he was presentable, Shoto crossed the floor in a few quick strides to open the door for her. Rei smiled sweetly up at him before her slate-gray eyes dropped to admire the way the tuxedo accented his muscular form. She ran her small hands down his sleeves before linking her fingers with his and giving them a gentle squeeze. He hoped she didn’t notice that they were trembling. “You look so handsome,” she praised, looking back up at him lovingly.
“Thank you, Mother,” Shoto smiled. He walked backward into the room, tugging on his mother’s fingers so she would follow, and Rei gently shut the door behind her. She walked to the floor-length mirror to inspect her own look— a baby-blue dress patterned with white flowers tied together with white flats and a baby-blue headband. “You also look lovely,” he added while retrieving another bottle of water from the mini-fridge in the corner. Rei hummed gratefully at his appraisal, watching him guzzle half of the plastic bottle through her reflection.
“Are you nervous, dear?” she asked abruptly. Shoto flinched in surprise, which made him lurch forward and spill water down his windpipe. He spluttered and coughed, eyes watering at the burning sensation overtaking his throat, while Rei turned around to look at him in concern. As he wiped the stream of water and spit from the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand, he debated lying to her. However, all notions of that flew out the window when he caught her soft, motherly gaze. “It’s natural, dear,” she reassured as she walked over to him.
Lie. She doesn’t need to know, chimed that anxious beast. It was tempting; Shoto could feel the excuse forming on his tongue. Except… no words came out. He looked helplessly at her, causing her expression to morph into one of intense concern. Shoto didn’t want to lie. He didn’t want to feel this way— selfish and egotistical and undeserving of his life.
His life with her.
“Shoto. Tell me what’s wrong,” she ordered, her voice just firm enough to abolish any remaining ideas of lying to her.
Shoto exhaled deeply and sagged down onto the small sofa next to the fridge. His mother could read him with scary precision, so there really was no use lying, anyway. She stopped in front of him to weave her slim fingers into his two-toned hair, and he responded by leaning forward to press his forehead into her belly. Rei softly scratched along his scalp in rhythmic, soothing strokes, and though she really hadn’t said anything, even the action alone made Shoto relax just the tiniest bit.
“What’s bothering you?”
He expected her to ask him if he was having second thoughts, just like the rest of them—but she didn’t. Shoto swallowed thickly before answering in a tiny voice. “I just realized how lucky I am, and I’m not quite sure I’m deserving of it.”
“What makes you say that, my love?” she questioned. Shoto pushed himself further into her stomach, comforted by her soft, soothing presence. Yet all the while, something nickered in the back of his mind. You abandoned her for years. You don’t deserve her comfort. Sickened by the thought, Shoto pushed himself away, grabbing a throw pillow to bury his face in it instead. He heard Rei softly gasp; then, the couch cushion dipped beside him as she tentatively sat down. He curled around the throw pillow, stomach whirling as all his anxieties came to a boil.
“Shoto,” she whispered and laid a gentle hand on the small of his back. “Talk to me, Shoto.”
Even though he had rejected her in favor of the pillow, he found himself falling against her. She held him close as he curled against her side. He was so much bigger than her now, but he still felt like he fit naturally into her petite frame. Slowly, he pried his face away from the pillow to reveal that the fabric had darkened with tears. He looked at her brokenly, the salty droplets rolling down his cheeks.
“Am I selfish, Mother?” he asked hoarsely, horrifiedly. Surely he must be, if everyone kept asking him if he would turn tail and run. “If I’m selfish, and am turning everyone away, then won’t… won’t I end up pushing her away and breaking her heart?” Just the thought of it broke Shoto’s, shattered it into a million little pieces. The love of his life, his dream, his salvation—the thought of doing that to her made him want to die, and the thought that he was already well on his way there made him want to die right now.
“Shoto, sweetheart,” Rei breathed and pulled him into a crushing hug. Shoto squeezed his eyes shut and buried himself into her, breathing in her scent of floral perfume and ice water. She kissed the top of his head before resting her cheek against it. “You are not selfish. What on Earth has gotten that into your head?”
“I just… Everyone keeps asking if I’m having second thoughts. Fuyumi was really upset thinking that I won’t be around anymore, and then Father came to talk to me about how far I’ve come as a hero, and then Izuku and Katsuki were worried about me, and—” he sucked in a breath after everything came tumbling out, trying to sort his disordered thoughts. “I just… Everything seems like it’s falling into place, and I just can’t help but think that it shouldn’t be. That it’s too easy, and because of that, I must be messing up somewhere, right?” As he looked at her, conflicted, Rei smiled reassuringly and brushed a strand of his red-and-white hair out of his face.
“Shoto, honey, you deserve everything you’re being given. If I can’t convince you of that, though,” she smiled mischievously and gestured at the door with her chin, “maybe she can.”
A blush exploded up from Shoto’s neck to flush all the way to the crown of his head. He grabbed the pillow and smashed his face into it, flopping across Rei’s lap to smoosh down into the couch for good measure. His mother laughed at his overreaction, barely masking the click of heels over the wood.
“Shoto?” came the tentative voice. What is she doing here? He thought, heart pounding in his throat.
“Sorry,” he heard Izuku say meekly. “Shoto was just so out of sorts… I thought the only one who could snap him out of it was her…”
“Idiot! Didn’t I say it was bad luck?” Katsuki scolded. Shoto heard him huff and the creak of the pressed fabric of his tuxedo as he crossed his arms. “But, Icy-Hot is acting pretty weird today… All right, do your stuff.”
Shoto just squirmed uncomfortably, listening to the ruffles of the lace and the soft click of heels as the woman he would be meeting at the aisle in another hour or two stopped beside him.
“Shoto,” Momo said, the laughter evident in her voice. God, he loved her voice. It was like a song, high and sweet. “Honey, what’s the matter?”
“Can’t look,” he mumbled evasively. “Bad luck.”
“You don’t have to look at me, then,” she chuckled, reaching down to soothingly run a hand over his back. He found himself arching a little into her touch, calm spreading through his nerves. “Just talk to me, sweetie.” Her white gown ruffled as she kneeled down on the floor beside him. Shoto dug his fingers into the pillow, wondering if there was a way out of this mortifying situation. There wasn’t, and he really didn’t want an out, anyway. She continued to stroke down the length of his spine. “Shoto, honey, you know you’re not selfish, right?”
The silence told Momo all she needed to know. She exhaled deeply, and he didn’t have to look at her to know she was wearing that sweet, loving smile she always wore when she comforted him. “Let me tell you something. Not for a single second have I felt neglected, nor have I had any inclination that you were sacrificing your personal life for the sake of your career,” she iterated slowly. Shoto squirmed as her reassurance battled with the poisonous beast inside him.
“Maybe I haven’t done it to you yet, but… What about my friends and family?”
“Boys?” Momo asked, presumably looking at Katsuki and Izuku. “Have you ever felt like Shoto hasn’t been a good friend?”
“What? No! Of course not!” Izuku blurted. “You’re an amazing friend! I can always count on you to be there when I need it, no matter what we’re doing.”
“Yeah. If anything, he can shove off, the Icy-Hot bastard.”
“Kacchan!”
“What? He’s up our asses all the time!”
“That’s because we’re partners, Kacchan! We’re gonna open up our own agency, remember?”
“That doesn’t mean he has to show up at my house for some stupid soba party he decided to have without telling anyone!”
Shoto found his lips curling into a tiny smile into the pillow. It was a shame that bickering was so familiar, and so comforting. Momo giggled sweetly and patted him on the back.
“See, honey? Your friends certainly don’t think you’re selfish and pushing them away.”
Although it was a start, Shoto couldn’t help but think of his sobbing sister.
“But… Fuyumi…”
“Shoto, that isn’t what Fuyumi meant at all,” Rei chortled and rubbed the back of his head. “Fuyumi just felt like a mother bird watching her chick leave the nest… Women get emotional over things like that. Your sister—and the rest of us, for that matter—all know you love us very much and want to stay an active part of our lives. I’ve enjoyed every minute of watching you grow into a man, and have never felt like you were abandoning me. You’re growing up. That is a reality we must face, and sometimes… It’s a little tough for us, that’s all.”
“That’s right,” Momo seconded. “See? We all love you, Shoto, so much. Please don’t ever think that you’re selfish, because you’re far from it.” He felt his eyes water as the emotions caused her voice to crack, indicating she was on the border of tears. Though he couldn’t look at her like he wanted to, he groped blindly in the air, searching for her hand. Momo caught it in both of hers to give it a tight squeeze, then pressed a lingering kiss to his knuckles. “Every day I’m thankful that you’ve chosen to love me,” she murmured against his skin, and he felt her tears drip down onto his hand. “My selfless hero.”
“Momo,” he groaned. When she hummed against his hand, he smiled weakly. “I appreciate you coming to cheer me up, but if you don’t leave now, I’m going to have to commit some wedding taboo.”
Momo laughed heartily, uttering small “okay’s” between her giggles, and slowly stood up. His fingers skimmed against the soft fabric of her lace skirt, and he found himself extraordinarily tempted to peek; but he didn’t. He knew that it would be a feeling like no other when he saw her walking down the aisle, so he just had to wait a little bit longer.
“Thank you both for looking out for him,” Momo said to Katsuki and Izuku as she left. “I’ll see you soon!”
Shoto waited until the clacks of her heels faded before he slowly sat up, rubbing at his tear-sticky face. Rei looked at him with a loving smile.
“Do you feel better, sweetie?”
“Mhmm,” he nodded with a sleepy smile. Having an existential crisis sure was exhausting. Still, his nerves soon began to buzz with the anticipation of what was yet to come. “How long until the ceremony?” he asked, looking expectantly at Izuku and Katsuki.
“About forty-five minutes, but it doesn’t matter, because there’s no way in Hell I’m letting you walk out like that. Get your ass in here!” Katsuki growled as he marched over and snatched him up by the collar. Shoto could only stumble after him as he was dragged into the groomsmens’ room, while Rei and Izuku both looked on laughing.
Forty-four minutes later, Katsuki had combed his messy hair back to submission and managed to erase almost all evidence of his puffy eyes and teary cheeks.
Now, Shoto stood rocking on his heels in front of the steel altar woven with ivy, wine-red roses, and white dahlias. Momo’s bridesmaids— Ochako, Mina, Tooru, and Tsuyu—were across the altar on the left, while Shoto’s groomsmen—Katsuki, Tenya, Inasa, Kirishima—and his best man Izuku were behind him to his right. Stretching out before him were rows of chairs, each one filled by someone special in his and Momo’s lives. Their families sat in the front row with bated breath. The ceremony was held in the main room while the reception would be held in an adjoining one—and in between them was a winding spiral staircase that Momo would be walking down any moment.
Shoto straightened up as the pianist began to play. His heterochromatic eyes were fixated on the staircase and his breath stilled in his chest. He caught the flash of her heel first, then the ruffles of her lace skirt as she slowly began to descend from upstairs. Shoto’s mouth gradually fell open as she came down from the heavens like an angel, here to grace his undeserving mortal self with her rapturous love. She was chuckling quietly to her father, who held her arm as he guided her down the steps. Kyoka came down last, carrying the long train of Momo’s dress.
He had been right to wait. It was a gorgeous sleeveless mermaid gown that hugged her beautiful figure in all the right ways. A swathe of wine red cut the skirt in half and adorned the bodice of her dress in thin, swirling threads that looked like roses. Her soft tresses of black hair were piled above her head before falling down in luscious curls to frame her face. A tiara was tucked into her hair, securing the sheer white veil cascading over her. She held a bouquet of white and red flowers as she slowly walked down the aisle, which had been laden with rose and dahlia petals by the flower girl. Even through the veil, Shoto could see her brimming with joy just by the aura radiating off her.
When she stopped next to him, giving her father a kiss on the cheek before he left to sit with the rest of the audience, Shoto could only gape in pure awe. He didn’t even register the priest speaking.
“Honey,” Momo laughed quietly. “You might want to pay attention.”
“Right,” he said and snapped his mouth shut, blushing as a few of the wedding party snickered and elbowed one another. His gaze snuck back to his beautiful bride, the love of his life, who stood so patiently waiting to read her vows. When she felt him staring, she smirked and looked at him out of the corners of her eyes.
“What?”
“I’m just realizing how lucky I am,” he explained softly. She looked at him with a confused smile. “I get to share this life I’ve made with the most wonderful woman on the planet. I thought at first I wasn’t worthy of it, but now… I’ve realized.”
“Realized what, Shoto?”
“Why I worked so hard for a life like this to begin with. I wanted to become a man deserving of your love, Momo,” he explained, reaching out to gently ghost his fingers over hers. “I’m just really glad to hear that you think I’m worthy.”
“Silly,” she laughed, tears slipping down her cheeks and clinging to the sheer lace of the veil. “You’ve always been worthy.”
Maybe that’s the way she felt. It was just a testament to how beautiful she was, right down to her soul. But now, after this whirlwind of a day, Shoto could rest easy knowing that he really was. Because she was his angel, his goddess, his salvation, and his life, and she was worthy of everything he had to give her and more—and he would work tirelessly every day to live up to that, to keep himself worthy.

Black Sisters my Headcanon
Andromeda already had a really god friendship with Frank and Ted before she started hanging out with the maraunders.
Narcissa would spend some time with her house and especially the Malfoy boy but most part of her day has spended following and making sure that Bellatrix wouldn't spend all her time alone.
Bellatrix would be in the library 24/7 and only get out for classes and eat when she was already starving.
When Andromeda were in trouble becouse of the boys Bellatrix would threat the Slytherin perfect to get her out of it but do nothing for the others.
Narcissa would always get her way with anyone just for speaking with them, contrary to her sisters.
Once when Andy and Sirius get a detention Bellatrix, Frank, Ted, Marlene and the other maraunders tried to make them company by exploding things in the great hall.
Actually Bellatrix just get in the middle of it because Marlene called her a coward and then started a food fight.
Narcissa was there with Reg but them just tried to calm the fight down (they get a detention too).
Narcissa scaped it but everyone else was busy cleaning the classroom without magic for a week.
Bellatrix would feel awkward and out of place with the group and Andy would make jokes to distract her.
Marlene and Bellatrix had a similar humor and Lily and Remus would always shoo the youngest away when the jokes started.
Bellatrix was the first to know about Frank crush an Alice and Andy would fake outrage everytime they talked about it.
When Narcissa learned Occlumency she was the only student who could keep her mind from Bella.
Bellatrix first kiss was with Marlene in the dark lake.
It was an accident and after a 2 hour fight they sweared never talk about it.
Andromeda first kiss was with Ted and they keep secret from everyone.
Narcissa first kiss was with Lucius and it was awful for the 2 of them.
Bellatrix would blush and get angry with romantic talks.
Bellatrix was a special ability for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
It was the way she started knowing about Molly and Arthur.
Once they had have a few fire whiskeys and Andy assumed her relationship with Ted.
Bellatrix feel hurt and betrayed but Frank and Sirius get after her and made her laugh.
The same night Bellatrix and Andromeda cried until they feel asleep in the common room in each other's arms and Narcissa had to take care of 2 drunk elder sisters.
That night while drunk Bellatrix talked about her kiss with Marlene with Andy.
Andromeda would look with a smirk at Bellatrix each time she see Marlene and Bellatrix would kick her under the table or throw her mortal glares.
When Reg decided to study abroad Narcissa get in a bad mood for a week.
When her parents died Andromeda only attended to her mom's funeral.
Bellatrix choked in her drink when Sirius said that he was dating Remus.
Bellatrix and Andromeda would round the couple and glare at Sirius when he did something wrong, letting him nervous and doing worst.
Bellatrix best friend was Marlene and they would fake a relationship to get free things in the shops.
Lucius made the most beautiful proposal in the world to Narcissa and she lost all her pose instantly.
Bellatrix is Neville and Harry godmother and Sirius is the godfather.
The 2 of them fight for the best presents and the children love.
Alice and Lily would be mad with them and Frank and James would put wood in the fire.
When Nymphadora born Bellatrix was so nervous that had had a breakdown and Narcissa and Ted had to take care of her.
That day Bella had a blackout and just woke up 3 hours later.
Andromeda and Narcissa use that moment as blackmail till today.
Narcissa forbid her in her house the day Draco born and Andromeda spend the day with her tranquilizing her.
In the Christmas Marlene and Sirius would try to put the children in snow fights or quidditch matches and Bellatrix would pick them up from dangerous situations.
Bellatrix child presents are always the best
But if you are more than 17 she will give you a chocolate or something.
Bellatrix would sit individually with all of the children and listen to all their adventures of Hogwarts for a entire day.
She stoped doing that to the Wesley's after Molly discovered that Bella supported the twins pranks and even gave them money for it.
Andromeda was worried when Nymphadora decided that the quidditch team was a good idea so Andromeda always attended her games for fear, in the end she always was proud of the girl.
Lucius and Ted would take Draco and Dora to see Quidditch games and in those days the three sisters would take te day to gossip and relax.
The first day Bellatrix bought a good adult Christmas present was the book "magical creatures in the society" to her godson's best friend Hermione Granger.
Everyone was shoked that night
Andromeda and Bellatrix would make a interrogation in French with Fleur when she and Dora started dating.
And Narcissa and Ted would pacify her after.
Marlene married Dorcas and moved to France.
Bellatrix feeled bed for a couple of days but their friendship didn't change.
Bellatrix first choice always was the "child" table.
Narcissa always annoyed her until she picked a sit in the adults table.
Andromeda talked about Nymphadora joining the aurors for a week.
Narcissa would always pick wine
Andromeda didn't drink
And Bellatrix would always pick something strong but only drink one glass before change to something lighter.
When Regulus decided to join them they would always play games +18
In those days Narcissa always won, Andromeda would give up and Bellatrix lose or end up drunk.
Bellatrix hate heavy robes but love winters and heavy accessories.
Narcissa was always dressed to kill
Andromeda as a lot more casual
Bellatrix always let the doors open
And both her sisters hate it
Because of that one day Hermione walked on her while she was dressing in the bathroom during Christmas. Awkward moment.
Neville and Narcissa loved botanic.
Andromeda liked charms
And Bella loved Magical creatures cares.
Bellatrix pride was hurt when only Draco entered to Slytherin.
It was a lot of drama actually.
Bellatrix covered the DADA position during the half of the last year of her godsons.
During that time she would always enter the Griffindor common room just to see their reactions or scare some students.
She didn't have a good reputation as a professor.
Most part because she was always giving detentions and all of the students exaggerated their respective one.
Andromeda was the first adult to agreed with the SPEW program
Bellatrix was the one letting shampoo bottles in front of Snape quarters but he always suspected the students.
Narcissa didn't liked Draco friends back at school.
Bellatrix is biromantic demisexual but nobody off their friends believe it.
Narcissa is heterosexual
Andromeda don't really know.
Bellatrix used to sleep with a lot of Slytherin boys back at Hogwarts because she had a little bit of internalized homophobia.
She stopped and started accepting who she was after Sirius beat sense into her head during a fist fight.
Bellatrix never loved nobody and her sisters just fell in love once, for the men they married.
Hermione had bumped into Bellatrix naked more times than failed a class.
Narcissa was the first to see that Hermione and Bellatrix acted uncomfortable around each other.
The first time Bellatrix admitted be in love she throw up in Andromeda carpet
The first time Bellatrix felt shy was when she declared to Hermione her feelings.
Andromeda and Narcissa always stayed in her sister side
Draco and Ginny would smirk to Hermione when Bellatrix was in the same room the same way Andromeda did with Marlene in the past.

Prom Night
Fandom: ASOIAF Pairing: SanSan Rating: T Summary: Truth be told, she had been hopeful that Sandor would ask her to prom. Words: 1728 Notes: For my pal @hisyetisgirl, who always leaves such lovely comments on my fics. Thank you!
Read @ AO3
Sansa had to swallow down her disappointment.
Prom was coming up and she had not been invited, also, it was themed after one of her favorite stories: Jenny and Duncan. She knew that since her break-up with Joff, she was all but a social pariah, only few of her friends remained, Jeyne, Mya and Myranda had stood by her side when she broke things with Joff. It had hurt when Margaery had began dating him almost immediately and began to ignore her.
Theon and Jon had offered to take her, but she knew that Jeyne liked Theon and Jon liked Daenerys and she could not accept their offers, she thanked them and pushed them to ask the girls they liked. “Don’t worry about me, you both boy should ask them.” She told them.
Truth be told, she had been hopeful that Sandor would ask her to prom.
Sandor Clegane had been a not-so-recent addition to her friends. She had known him, of course, he used to be around Joff a lot, but after Joff began to mistreat her, Sandor had surprised her by taking her side and basically becoming her body guard. At the beginning, Sandor gave the impression that he didn’t like her, he was rough around the edges, brutally honest, with a short temper for idiots (which made her wonder why he was even friends with Joff). That, combined with his height, his scars and body type, screamed ‘Don’t mess with me’, he had intimidated her at first. But once she had gotten to know him, she found him to be good. He was far from perfect, but he was protective without being suffocating, he was brave and strong, he encouraged her to see people for who they were and not for who they pretended to be.
Sandor had also spoken to her about his scars, her heart had broken when she had found the truth. Sandor had smiled at her anger, thanked her for being the only one to validate his pain. From that moment on, they had been nearly inseparable.
Another thing that she liked is, that with her encouragement, Sandor had began to take anger management and therapy. And he had improved by leaps and bounds, he spoke often and highly of a man who went by ‘Elder brother’, who was his therapist. She was proud of him.
And somewhere along the line, she realized she had fallen for him. She realized it when she found herself comparing other boys to him, only to find them lacking. She had dreamt about kissing him, she found herself wanting to hold his hand.
But Sandor had never made a pass to her, and she was much to shy do to so herself. Even with Myranda’s encouragement, she couldn’t do it, her tongue would fail her, she would be a stuttering mess and she just couldn’t ask him.
She sighed, prom was two week away and she had – quite hopeful and foolishly – bought a dress for it. It was ice blue, her mother had said that it brought her coloring well, Arya had approved and Jeyne had squealed, “You’ll be the prettiest!”
But now, she had a dress but no date.
She was sighed tiredly, she had really been looking forward prom and dancing alongside her friends. But it all seemed to say that she would’ve to find something to do as consolation prize. She let herself fall on the bed, groaned out loud and looked around dejectedly, she was about to grab a book to try and distract herself when her phone rang.
She grabbed it and saw that it was Sandor, her heart did a little flip. “Hey, Sandor!” She chirped, no sense in letting him know she was upset. Knowing him, he would ask her out of guilt. She didn’t want that.
“Hey Sansa, I have a question.” Sandor sounded worried.
“Ask away.”
“What color should I get my tux.”
That broke her heart a little, it would seem that Sandor was going to go to prom with someone else. That hurt. “Ah,” she tried to sound nonchalant. “Why?”
“Well, because we should match, shouldn’t we?”
Sansa could almost see him frown, she also did, “I don’t understand, why should we match?”
“We’re going to prom, yes?”
Sansa’s mind came to a screeching halt. “Um,” she was able to get out. “No, we’re not.”
Silence. “Oh. Fuck.” Leave it to Sandor to curse. “Fuck, Little bird… did I not ask you?”
“No?”
“Oh fucking fuck,” Sandor groaned at the phone. “Little bird, I am so sorry! I thought I had! Fuck I’m an idiot.”
Sansa’s heart skipped a beat. He wanted to ask her! She didn’t know what to say to that, she wanted to giggle out of happiness and relief, she wasn’t taking anyone else! “You wanted to ask me?” She managed, her hands got a bit clammy and she did her best to control her voice.
“Yeah,” she could clearly see him scratching the back of his head. “I just didn’t want to put any pressure on you, and well, the test got the best of me and I guess I forgot. But, ah, Sansa… I know we’re two weeks out, but, wanna go to prom with me?”
Sansa felt giddy and happy, “Of course! I’d love to go to prom with you!”
“Oh that’s a relief,” Sandor said. “But wait, can you get a dress so close? I mean, I know I fucked up and I’m giving you very little time, but if you can’t… well, we could go and catch a movie or something.”
Sansa was moved, it was so kind of him. “I have a dress, don’t worry about it. Just get your tux, I think you’d look quite dashing in either gray or blue.”
“Grey or blue? Got it. Well, Sansa, gotta go, need to finish an essay. See you at school, and thanks for putting up with my dumbass.”
Sansa laughed, “Thank you for asking me, see you at school.”
They both hanged and Sansa all but jumped up and down her bed, she was excited and happy. Now she could only hope to find someone to do her hair and make-up, she wanted to be the prettiest Sandor had ever seen her.
***
The next morning, she told her mother about it, fortunately, Catelyn knew a woman who could do both her hair and make-up. “I am glad you’re going,” Catelyn told her smiling. “It was disheartening seeing you be upset for missing prom.”
Sansa hugged her mother. “Well, I’m going and I’m going to have fun!”
“That’s my girl,” Catelyn said and squeezed her tightly.
The days that followed passed in a flurry of activity, schoolwork and her volunteering kept her busy. She had already selected hair and make-up, she had her accessories ready and she was growing ever more excited for prom.
The day of it, she could barely believe that it was finally happening. By the time she was done, she felt like a princess, she had chosen a braided updo that left some thin strands of hair to fall around her hair, her make-up was done in soft shades of pink. Her blue dress fit her perfectly and picked her accessories in silver. She allowed her mother to fuzz over her and take pictures.
When Sandor came to pick her up, he looked quite dashing in a dark blue tux and he had gotten her a corsage. It was a beautiful little thing, white baby roses and baby’s breath, he placed it gently on her hand. “You look beautiful,” he’d told her when they had seen each other.
“And you look quite dashing,” She beamed at him. She relished in the matching smile that Sandor gave her. “I’m excited!”
Her mother had insisted on a couple of photos, neither minded and simply stood still side by side as her mother took them. “Have fun, don’t drink and drive.” That had been her father’s parting words.
Sandor had opened the door of his car for her, only closing it after she had been safely in. He walked to the driver’s seat and climbed on. “Ready?”
“Yes! Let’s go!”
Sandor laughed at her enthusiasm, but started the car and drove them to the hotel were their reception was taking place. Once they were there, he opened her door and offered his arm, she took it smiling and together, they made their way inside.
She gaped at the ballroom, it was all decorated in different shades of green and silver. They found their sitting place and chatted with the people around them, but they only seemed to have eyes for each other.
They chatted while they had their dinner, and once the dance floor was officially opened, Sandor stood and offered his hand and they began to dance.
“I didn’t take you for a dancer,” she admitted.
Sandor shrugged, “I’m not much of it, but that’s the point of today, right, to dance?”
“True.”
And dance they did, only taking breaks when she felt tired or needed punch or a bathroom break. They danced the night away, and just before the night came to a close, the last song was a slow ballad. And they both still dance, her arms around his middle (damn his height!) while they swayed gently to the sound of music.
“Thank you.” She told him.
“What for?”
“For bring me. I wanted to come, but no one asked.”
“That’s because they’re idiots, Little bird. Myself included. I’m just, well, honored that you accepted.”
She looked up, her heart was beating fast and loud. Finding either courage or stupidity, she pushed herself up and gave him a quick kiss at the corner of his mouth, blushing fiercely immediately after. “If you’re an idiot, then, you’re my idiot.”
Sandor looked at her with wide eyes, but then he shook his head, grinned and said, “Yep, I’m your idiot.” And he lowered himself enough to give her a quick kiss to her lips.
She beamed and returned it. “I like you, you know?”
Sandor seemed to catch her meaning, “Well, I like you too.”
Under the soft lights and with gentle music, they both grinned and once more kissed. No matter what happened tomorrow, they would always have this night. But somehow she knew, that something special had been born this night.

Love is Strange [Part 1] // Roger Taylor x Reader
WARNINGS: Few curses, was it few?
NOTES: Okay here’s the whole part 1, thanks for taking an interest with it. This isn’t a good excuse but if there’s any mistake (especially the grammar), English isn’t my first language (even though I did proofread this part 2 times, yeah mistakes are bound to happen.) Anyway I hope you enjoy this one!
WC: 2.1K
Roger leaned over the door frame in awe as he watches the woman stand on her feet with her confidence that she always wears. Even with only her white bathrobe and a towel that rolls over her head, it made her look like a goddess. She had her black sunglasses perched on her nose as an accessory as she apply her red lipstick while leaning ever so slightly over the glossy countertop of the bathroom to watch her reflection in the mirror.
“You know it’s rude to stare.” She said with a thick accent then she pops and pouts her lips, admiring just how perfect the red colour fits on her.
“Yeah but I also know how enchanting you look like now. Ethereal, but kind of devilish inside.” Roger replied smirking, walking over her side and slightly pushing her on ass away with his to fit in the mirror.
“Hey!”
“You’re not the only one who needs to get ready.” He said, fixing his tie in front of the mirror. She just watch his reflection as he snarls his own necktie and she giggled at him, taking it from his hand and tangling a proper knot to his neck.
“You’re 30 and still don’t know how to properly tie a tie.”
“Most of the men don’t, even the elder ones.” He argued.
“Well you should try to differ, you like being exotic.”
He rolled his eyes on her remark as he flips her off. “Wear your goddamn clothes lady, we’re late.” He said walking out of the bathroom. She wore her dress, a red satin one with gold embroidery details. It fits on her curves as if the dress were actually made just for her. She took her bulky yet soft fur coat, a white one that’s long as her dress and she removed her towel from her head. She walks back into the living room and found Roger tapping his finger from his left hand and holding his cigarette in another hand.
“You sure we’re late? My hair isn’t dry yet.” She spoke as she sat on the velvet ottoman in front of Roger. He rolls his eyes on her, sure enough that she will still win the shaping argument. He taps the cigarette’s butt on the ashtray and let its spirit die.
“I’ll blow dry it.” He suggested, already standing up to take it from her bedroom and she’s clapping her hand in enthusiasm as she quickly moved over in front of the full length mirror their living room has. Roger walked back, and stood behind her. She plugged the hairdryer and he started to point it on her hair.
“Careful, my make up!” She warned and Roger just nod. He focused on how her hair was still perfect even if it’s lightly wet. He combs her hair with his hands, pointing the mouth of the dryer in every handful of hairs that he grabs. She always liked it when he touches her hair; she could fall asleep then and there every time.
She already had her eyes closed when she no longer felt the heat of the hairdryer and the noise had come to halt.
“It’s done, let’s go.” He said dryly, she could sense that she got him annoyed and impatient.
“Wait I need my shoes!”
“God fucking damn it.” Roger cursed under his breath and she froze on her feet.
“What?”
“I said nothing. Go get it.” Roger replied exasperatedly but you didn’t move. Her forehead folded into thin layers and eyes are bounded to tear up. She never liked this kind of Roger. It always gets her so emotional, even if it’s just a small useless thing.
“Oh my god Y/N! i didn’t meant—“ He was stopped when she stomped her feet away from him, hastily walking towards to her bedroom and inclining to slam the door heavily, and she did.
Roger brushed his blond hair frustrated with his hand, asking himself how did she get so upset over four words. He tries to calm himself down and walk on her door to knock.
“Y/N, c’mon, let’s go.” He tried to speak nicely, in a soothing voice. He’s not about to leave her alone just because they’re both late to a very important event or maybe important to him and not to her. After all, she’s already dressed and it’s rather impractical for her to take a cab wearing such a revealing garment even with the fur coat covering the rest. Though the dress’ view in front still left a little to the imagination.
“Leave me alone.” She said choking on a sob.
“Come on Y/N, you’re already dressed it’s such a waste. We do have to go.” He pleaded, wishing she would just caved so easy and she would stop crying so her makeup would not be ruined. He knows how her confidence fails when she doesn’t look so nicely with her appearance.
“She doesn’t like me there anyway. Why bother?” She replied, her voice muffled by a tissue.
“No no, Y/N. Listen to me love, she likes you there alright? Now open this door.” He cooed and he taps her door. She gave up and unlocked the door for him. He saw her mascara had flown down on before her cheek and he shook his head in distaste.
“Now I’m ugly. You could just go.” She said but he held her chin up, taking a tissue from her hand and dabs it on her lower eye.
“No love, we’ll fix it okay?” He replied. He took the powder from her vanity and applied a good amount on her cheeks.
“Now you look fine, shall we go?” He asked and her reply was a light nod of her head. He guides her to his car and the rest of the drive was quiet. When they entered the house, one with loads of fancy and shiny decorations, they could already hear the happy birthday song, toning down on to its end.
Adalene was encircled by the crowd with smiling faces. Roger thought she still looks fantastic as ever. Especially now, dressed in for an important occasion. The decorations had matched her entire appearance, her dress ends right before her knees reflecting sparkles from the light, so did the diamonds on her neck. Too bad he was late that he didn’t even get to sing her the whole happy birthday song. She blows her candle and the loud “Happy Birthday Adalene!” was heard which followed by claps.
“Thank you all for coming, just enjoy the rest of the party!” Adalene’s voice echoed throughout the entire room, sounding so happy yet her eyes was visibly disappointed.
“Go find the rest of the guys, will you be okay?” Roger asked with concerned and she nod at him and went off. She knows that in a party, when you get yourself dressed, you look for Freddie for approval, so she did. And she instantly catches his frame, a combination of red and gold crown on the top of his head, she quickly strides to his direction and greeted him with the happiest one.
“Hello there to you too Y/N!” Freddie squealed and hugged her. As they both parted, she twirled herself in front of Freddie as he watched her and she raised an eyebrow towards him.
“What do you think?” She asked excitedly.
“Stunning as always! Where’d you got this dress from?” He said with a huge smile plastered on his face, vertically gesturing on her dress.
“Roger got it for me!” She squealed, contented with Freddie’s approval of your ‘outfit of the night’.
“Speaking of Roger, where is he by the way? Adalene was looking for him earlier.”
“Oh he’s here somewhere. We’re kind of late.” She replied, eyes roaming the surroundings in hope to see Roger.
“Late with his own girlfriend’s thirtieth birthday party? Where’s the justice!”
She replied with a tight-lipped smile and shrugged. “I’m going to get a drink.” And with that, she made her escape. She knows that she’s the responsible one for Roger being late, and she hate to admit it, she is indeed guilty.
She walked towards the bar, it’s right before the kitchen, but when she heard two familiar voice arguing inside, she stopped on her tracks.
“Where the fuck were you?”
“Adalene I’m sorry, I had to wait for Y/N—“
“Y/N? Y/N! Y/N! Y/N! It was always her! Roger! I’m your girlfriend, I’m supposed to be the one you’re living with not her!”
Her face turned red in the mention of her name, embarrassed and guilty that she’s the reason that the lovers are fighting. Everyone would be able feel her anger from her voice even without seeing her face, right then and there, she were scared but curious at the same time.
“Then what should I do? Huh? Leave her?” It was more of rhetorical question to Roger but Adalene didn’t hesitate a second to answer.
“Yes!”
Her hearing went cloudy after that, she’s not sure where will their conversation ends, and afraid that something else would end along with it too. Not that she’s that supportive with their relationship, in fact, she didn’t give a damn about them, but she never liked two or more than people are fighting because of her. She hated that.
“You know what Roger!”
“What!”
They were practically shouting each words out right from their lungs, probably delighted that the party noise outside was louder than them.
“Choose! Fucking choose between me, and her!”
There was a short silence and she didn’t know what will Roger answer, so does Adalene. She doesn’t know which side is she taking, hers or her best friend’s girlfriend, because let’s face it, Adalene has a point.
“Oh dear god Roger! Are you seriously contemplating about it? Five fucking years Roger! Five! We’ve been together for five fucking years!” She heard Adalene choked on her words.
“What do you want me to say? ‘You?’ I’ve had Y/N since forever, no I can’t leave her that easy!” He shouted back. Y/N heart beat has conquered herself, and she could feel it in her entire body. She’s frozen and dead on the spot.
Adalene let a sob out. “Wow happy fucking birthday.”She mumbled. Roger’s eyes were on her frame, watching her wipe her tears. How badly he wanted to do that himself but he cannot even bring himself to touch her.
“You know what? Maybe we should break up.” She said more quietly that made Roger fume in anger. How easy if her to let go with one mistake?
He punched the wall and walked out of the kitchen but he shortly found Y/N just right there, standing and staring at him. He ignored her and then started walking even faster out of the house and her feet voluntarily followed his trail, almost running just to catch him.
“Roger!” She called him when they reached outside. He slammed his car door close and starts the ignition but not yet leaving with his car. He still waited for her even though he is raging in anger, sadness, and disappointment.
She was shaking by the time she sat on the passenger seat and closed the door beside her. Scared of what he might say, or him driving too fast, which he did the moment she’s settled on her seat. He instantly pulled away from the curb and drove off, speeding as fast as he can and in about fewer than ten minutes, they’ve already reached their apartment building. He turned the engine off and just sat there, basking in the darkness of the night, allowing himself to feel empty.
“Roger.” She finally made herself spoke, a low sound of her voice echoed inside the car which had his head turning to you, but she were afraid to continue. He noticed her shaking hand and took it to his, tightly holding and squeezing it to comfort her.
“I... I am so so sorry Roger.” She said, a tear escaping her eyes. He squeezed his eyes shut, not ready for her dramatic apology. “I should’ve known, I shouldn’t have been a brat...”
“Shh. You were right; I should’ve left you in the first place.” He replied, the small amount of light coming from the moon allows him to look at her. She was shocked, not even for the first time tonight. “Oh no, no, love. Not that. I meant I should’ve left earlier than you.” Roger cooed and lightly laughs. “Goddamn it, come here.” He said as he pulls her by her two arms towards him and he hugs her tight. He kissed the top of her head and assured her, “I’m not leaving you, understand?”
She nods while her face is buried on his chest, her left over tears are wetting his polo, but he didn’t mind. All he was thinking of was how glad he is that he chose to stay with her instead, all satisfied with just being with her best friend.

Small Changes, Big Impact: How a Washbasin Cabinet Can Transform Your Bathroom
In most cases, when it comes to bathroom makeovers, people are likely to consider tiles, lighting, or new fixtures. But there’s one element that can make a huge impact with minimal effort — The washbasin cabinet! The right and appropriate washbasin cabinet can make a huge difference to the aesthetics, ambiance, and utility of the bathroom. A small change that brings more storage space, improves the looks of the bathroom and the experience in it.
Why is the Washbasin Cabinet Important?
The washbasin area of your bathroom is one of the most utilized spaces, be it for washing hands or applying creams in the morning. The washbasin cabinet thus assumes the central role of this zone. A basin cabinet also serves as a storage area and introduces a fashionable and integrated basin design into the bathroom.
How to Get the Most Space for Your Things Without Compromising on the Look?
This is one of the most significant advantages of upgrading your washbasin cabinet, and that is the aspect of storage. Most of us can attest to the fact that the bathroom is one of the most challenging rooms to keep clean because of the numerous items that have to be stored in the room. A good bathroom cabinet can help in the organization of the bathroom and at the same time make the bathroom look less cluttered.
Depending on the type of furniture that you want, there are different types of bathroom cabinets that you can get, including an under-sink bathroom cabinet, a floating bathroom cabinet, or even a full bathroom mirror cabinet. For those who have a small bathroom, a perfect choice will be a bathroom mirror cabinet with hidden shelves to place all the necessary things. This furniture is multi-functional and can be used for storage while occupying the same space as the bath hence suitable for small bathrooms.
For a spacious bathroom, a bathroom mirror and cabinet set are perfect since they provide a matching appearance, extra storage, and elegance to the bathroom. It will be convenient for you to have all your products within reach while at the same time, you will find the design very appealing.
Increasing the Beauty of the Appearance with Little or No Extra Work
A washbasin cabinet can make a huge difference to the appearance of your bathroom; it can even be the crowning glory of the bathroom’s design. Regardless of whether you like minimalist or industrial looks, country or traditional styles, there is a basin cabinet style that will fit your bathroom perfectly.
If you want to achieve a modern style of furniture, then you should try to get a floating basin cabinet with a simple design and little ornamentation. This design gives the impression of a larger space and makes even the tiny bathroom appear to be larger. It is best used with a frameless mirror to give a clean and contemporary appearance.
On the other hand, a wooden and rustic washroom mirror cabinet may add warmth and texture to a space that may otherwise be too clinical. It is a perfect idea for making a bathroom more or less unique, depending on the chosen style, and practical at the same time. The right finish on the wood also makes the bathroom to be inviting and also gives the bathroom a luxurious look.
Improving Functionality and Comfort
In terms of functionality, a washbasin cabinet is one of the most useful pieces of furniture you can have. It serves the purpose of making your bathroom look organized but it can also make your daily life better. Think about having all the toiletries, towels, and other bathroom accessories well arranged in one place, thus saving time that you would have spent looking for something.
Furthermore, the properly selected bathroom cabinet enhances the ergonomics of the bathroom space. It is also possible to adjust the height and the location of the cabinet to increase its usability. For instance, if you have children in your family or elders, you can choose a design that is convenient for them.
One can say that the combination of your bathroom mirror cabinet with adequate lighting will help to design an effective grooming area. Whether you are putting on makeup, shaving, or even washing, having enough lighting accompanied by the ease of use of a mirrored cabinet just makes it so much fun.
Quick Transformation, Long-Term Impact
Replacing your washbasin cabinet is one of the easiest and at times, the quickest alterations you can make but the effects can be enduring. A new bathroom cabinet has instant benefits in terms of the looks and utility of the bathroom without having to undergo a major renovation. It is the best solution for people who want to update their bathroom’s look without spending a lot of money.
In case you are thinking of changing your bathroom cabinets, Essel Bath Fittings has various types of quality washbasin cabinets to suit your needs and preferences. Their products are made with the aim of beautifying your bathroom while at the same time serving their purpose efficiently and for a long time.
Conclusion
A good washbasin cabinet is one of those changes that make a big difference, yet are not very noticeable. This can help in the beautification of your bathroom, increase the space for storage, and at the same time, make work easier in the bathroom. Regardless of whatever you choose, the right choice will certainly change your bathroom for the better. Therefore, if you are willing to give your bathroom a facelift in a short period, then the washbasin cabinet should interest you.

The ceramic teapot is dishwasher and microwave safe, but hand washing is recommended.

If you have an elder sister, you can consider giving her a photo album. This keepsake keeps memories alive and is a great gift. It can hold several pictures that are important to her and has an easy-to-open cover that is perfect for small hands. The cover is also soft and features a cartoon album for a unique touch.

If your elder sister is a tech geek, a smart coffee mug is an ideal gift. It's water-resistant and stays warm all day long, and it comes in a range of different colors including rose gold. It is also available in a variety of sizes, including travel, tall, and standard. You can even personalize it with her name, and you can even purchase a framed print.
The Smart coffee mug comes with a removable lid and is dishwasher-safe. It can also be used as a cutting board. Its design is similar to that of the mug. Moreover, it makes for a great gift for your sister, who is a secret wine connoisseur. Aside from being practical, this coffee mug also looks pretty cool.

Wedding Crasher CH. 03
Pairing: Hoseok x Reader Genre: Romance / Smut Rated: M / NC17 Tags: Wedding!AU, Badboy!AU, Violence, Debauchery Summary: It was always a little bit tragic for Hoseok whenever he got caught, which wasn’t often. He had enough experience with crashing weddings to be considered a veteran. One easy lie after another, from the church to the reception hall. Previous chapters: 01, 02
If you're having trouble reading my story with the tumblr themes, read here.
‘Couldn’t keep it locked away, couldn’t take it to the grave.’ Hoseok had spent a majority of his Saturday on FB, looking through the boring, predictable lives of Kim Namjoon and Kim Seokjin. It was almost laughable how well they suited each other, like a friggin’ rom-com drama adapted from a webtoon. Hoseok had read this story, time and time again. He’d personally witnessed it, having attended his fair share of weddings as an active habitualist, but what he really enjoyed though, was the lie, in which one person stared directly into the eyes of another, and promised to be there in sickness and in health, ‘til death… It was all a masquerade, an artfully constructed ball made up of finesse, excellent gourmet, and women. Sad, lonely women – friends and family watching the vows of love entangle two souls together. Or was it more like it entrapped them? Either way, the sanctity of marriage wasn’t off limits to the keen prowess of Jung Hoseok. He lived to watch others parish. He wanted their hearts to burn hot and angry with betrayal. He abhorred their happiness, because he craved it for himself, but he’d never had a taste of true love. He wouldn’t know its flavor, even if he swallowed it whole. Love was an image that never stayed still long enough for Hoseok to take a picture – never in focus, completely unrecognizable. When Sunday arrived the next day, he knew exactly what he was going to wear – the crisp black button up with the red heart-shaped patterns. It was an unusual, yet ironic choice given the fact that he was outwardly celebrating love, even when he did not believe in it. He slipped into a black silhouette fitted jacket and matching slacks. Breaking out his red leather shoes, he dug into his accessories next, going with his gold bullet back cufflinks and a L.U.C mechanical watch that sat heavily upon his wrist. Jimin’s bedroom door cracked open, the shark slippers Hoseok bought for him last Christmas scuffing across the tiles of the kitchen floor. The boy had just woken up, eyes still shut with sleep as he searched the fridge for his jug of water. He slapped the milk a few times. “That’s the milk,” Hoseok said, leaning over the counter with his bowl of cereal. “A bit more to your left. No, your other left…” Jimin grabbed the jug and stood there taking a long, generous sip. In doing so, the length of his precious dongsaeng’s neck was exposed, revealing Jeongguk’s heavy claim. “We didn’t really get the chance to talk about Friday,” Hoseok said, before rinsing out his bowl, and setting it aside. He leaned back against the surface behind him, taking a closer look at his friend, going over his body like he was taking inventory, accounting for things that might be misplaced – observations of what could be hurt or broken by the impromptu tryst. Jimin had to think for a moment, squinting through the haze of sleepiness, “Friday?” “That tall, dark, and handsome boy you left me all alone at the club for,” Hoseok reminded him, still somewhat bitter over the whole ordeal. Yoongi had to come and get him, again. He had to share another awkward conversation with his hyung, again – feeling like a scolded child by the time the blonde was finished with him. “Oh, Jeongguk? He left about an hour ago and I went back to sleep.” Hoseok stilled, wondering how the fuck he hadn’t heard him. To be fair, he’d been locked in his room, staring holes into his computer screen, memorizing family members like they were his own. If they’d fucked at all, Hoseok had zoned it out completely. “Isn’t he going to be late?” Hoseok asked, as he glanced down at his watch. The kid was ballsy. He wasn’t looking forward to dealing with him on a daily basis, which might end up being a thing. He put in the information for an Uber, before noticing that Jimin was still staring at him. Jimin started, “Hyung…” The elder grinned from ear to ear, because Jimin could be eighty years old with a walker, and still be the cutest person on the planet. “What, Minie? Do you want to kiss hyung goodbye?” “I really like Jeongguk. So, if you could please not ruin it for me tonight…” The fact that Jimin had to ask him to refrain from doing such a thing should say a lot. The guilt of it coiled cold and unwanted within the pit of Hoseok’s stomach. He gave a slow nod, the excitement he felt moments prior dulled. “Of course I won’t.” Hoseok would never intentionally hurt his friends, but that didn’t mean that it never happened. Sometimes it was unavoidable. At least, that was the lie he told himself. It was thirty minutes and three wrong turns later that Hoseok was standing outside the venue. One he’d never been to before, which was surprising given his track record. Both the ceremony and reception would take place inside the wedding hall. This should have made the planning lot easier and cost efficient, like with most Korean weddings. So, really, Hoseok didn’t know what the fuck you were on about in regards to Saturday being exceptionally busy. Hoseok wondered if there was a small piece of him that felt tempted to seek you out tonight. If that was perhaps the real reason as to why he even considered attending a same sex wedding in the first place, because if he didn’t find someone better, you’d still be a viable option. Nothing too serious. It wasn’t like he’d palmed his dick to thoughts of you on Yoongi’s shitty, uncomfortable floor that evening – except that he did, thus soiling his briefs like he was a fucking teenager. The great thing about most wedding halls was that you didn’t need an invitation or to RSVP. Slipping in was easy and Hoseok enjoyed a good seat. He placed himself amongst the immediate family, testing the waters, gauging how well he could fit in with them. A small taste, a façade of recognition, Namjoon’s father was a gentle person. Hoseok took the man’s hand into his own and gave it a firm shake. It was a happy day. All cheesy lines would work on anyone right about now. Hoseok smiled so big that his eyes disappeared into twin crescents, spewing out the first Hallmark he could think of, “They say love conquers all.” Namjoon’s mother was similarly too overjoyed to question Hoseok’s presence, all too willing to accept his hug when he gave it. He went in for another taste, seeing how much he was able to get away with. “It’s sad that grandma couldn’t make it today. This is the best opportunity to bring our family together.” Her eyes were clouded with unshed tears, as she took Hoseok’s hands into her own, running her thumbs over the top of his knuckles. “Oh, I know. She was really upset, too. If you want, you should stop by and see her. She’d love it.” It was settled then, Hoseok was from Namjoon’s side of the family. He’d been gunning for it during his research, knowing that it would be easier. Aside from that, Seokjin’s family looked like a bunch of refined, chaebol bastards. That entire section of family was stiff as fuck and the complete opposite of Seokjin himself. Namjoon must’ve been determined or a goddamned saint to have made it this far into the relationship without being swayed to quietly move the fuck on with a payout. Hoseok could tell by the tension that there was probably an argument or several in order to make this blessed day come to fruition. The ceremony started a few moments later with the photographers. Yes, plural. Photographers were ready and waiting for each groom to enter. Soon it was a deafening choir of flashing cameras and celebratory clapping, until the ceremony was ready to officially begin. Hoseok enjoyed tuning it all out, reserving every bit of inward amusement for the vows. This gave him ample time to look over the guests, catching a glimpse of Jeongguk – the silent as the grave creepin’ motherfucker. Next to him was Taehyung, the guy with the set of paws, as well as Yoongi’s rapt attention. Hoseok dragged himself the short distance to the bathroom, tossing his briefs into the garbage. They were beyond salvageable and he wasn’t interested in the work. He proceeded to clean the dried cum from off his skin with one of Yoongi’s decorative hand towels. He then rinsed his mouth out with wash and was smart enough to avoid the mirror this time. Swinging open the door, he was startled to find Yoongi standing there. “The fuck, hyung…” The elder extended his hand out with a pair of clean boxers, “Here.” “So, you heard me? Great. Were you able to get off, too?” Hoseok asked, as he wordlessly dropped his jeans in front of the blonde, sliding the boxers up over his legs. Yoongi’s steely eyes bore into Hoseok’s, disinterested, “Do you remember the guy who took care of you last night?” Hoseok snickered, a sharp, bitter sound to anyone who knew him. “It wasn’t that deep, alright? The kid carried me to your car. Why?” “That ‘kid’ had enough sense to call me when you were in trouble and yeah, he had to carry your heavy ass. You’re like, 80 percent muscle, you ungrateful little shit. Why are you so…? Forget it.” Yoongi didn’t know how to properly place his anger or why he felt the need to defend Taehyung so fiercely against his oldest friend. Hoseok laughed with mirth at the elder’s strong reaction, “Well, Jimin is probably being fucked by his friend right now. Would you like me to go and ask him for Taehyung’s number for you?” He stepped closer then, using his height to set Yoongi back a couple steps. Despite being impervious to most bullshit, he really was no match for Hoseok, which was something the younger was all too aware of, especially cruel and spiteful in his delivery, “Anything to help you get over me, hyung.” “Don’t…” Yoongi closed his eyes, able to feel the warmth of Hoseok’s breath against his skin, the very heat radiating from off his body. “Don’t ask. I was just curious.” “How curious,” Hoseok said, wondering if the bitter taste in his mouth was the fact that he was losing Yoongi, even though he’d never be able to return his feelings. Yes, Hoseok was hideous inside and out. You were beside Taehyung, seeming to stand out in a large sea of black formal and boring, opaque cream attire. You were dressed in a deep red floor length gown with an open back, showing off a smooth expanse of skin that followed down to the last knot of your spine. It was an elegant number in comparison to what you’d worn to the club. The thought of matching had Hoseok feeling oddly satisfied. Red was such a bold color, but then again he was bold. It was possible that you were something else entirely, an enigma, as all women started off, until they were deemed as less. There were girls on Seokjin’s side of the family he’d love to play around with. Spoiled princesses were his favorite type, possible heiresses to fortunes were smart investments and yet... He was more focused on you, which was a rather annoying anomaly. You were stealing his attention from other potential, no more than a fucking eyesore. He was too hyperaware of Taehyung’s hand lingering on the small of your back. He held you against him just as a smile lit up your face, staring up at him – your lips were saying something, and Hoseok found himself wanting to be let in on it, almost resenting the intrigue that had manifested over such a small thing. The ceremony came to an abrupt end, the vows as good as muted with Hoseok being so utterly distracted. Rose petals were tossed at the couple as they walked by. He watched as you turned with the motion, making sure to sprinkle your handfuls onto Namjoon’s shoulders. Taehyung gave you more petals from his stash and Hoseok wanted to slap the basket from his hands. As difficult as it was, he held it in, trying to be less obvious about his staring problem. Food was being served in a large room. It was the second stage of the wedding, leaving the reception as the third, and final stage of this shit show. This part was always a bit more personal, lights no longer dimmed with the tables stretched far, and able to fit so many. Hoseok decided it was a safe bet to casually make himself known to you, despite his original plan to remain inconspicuous. He walked towards the buffet and started filling up his plate. There were several people separating you from him in line. Slowly, they started to dwindle. Hoseok was patiently waiting for you, wondering what the hell the holdup was, and why you were being so indecisive. Several minutes of pretending like picking out food was difficult, Hoseok was at the tray of food that you were currently stopped at. He watched as you meticulously scooped out the meat, but didn’t bother with the vegetables. “Poor vegetables,” Hoseok tsked, using tongs on a serving of japchae. “Being left behind like that, unable to provide proper nutrients.” You turned on your heel, mouth already parted around a smart retort, when you grew completely still. The last person you were expecting to see was the guy from the Bizarre. Hoseok. You’d remembered everything the following day after the club, somewhat embarrassed and ashamed of yourself, having thought that your behavior had come off as desperate. And perhaps on some level, you were. You vividly recalled being easy for him, that you would have done anything he wanted, if only he’d wanted. “Oh, wow…” you stammered, trying to recover. The real struggle was figuring out what to do with your hands. Put down the plate? Pull him into a hug? That might be a little forward. The both of you were sober and standing under bright lights now. “So, you weren’t kidding when you said you had a wedding to attend.” Hoseok’s quirked his lips, dimples prominent and on full display, “What would be the point of lying about it?” Except everything. “Although, I had no idea that Namjoon was your friend.” You nodded a few too many times, still surprised by his presence. “Well, yeah, he’s like, one of my best friends. How do you know him?” Hoseok mentally scrolled through his index of Namjoon’s relatives. Some for reference, others for excuses. Distant relatives, family who’d responded to the FB post to regretfully inform the grooms that they couldn’t make it. The redhead smiled once it clicked perfectly into place. “We’re cousins, actually. Last time I saw Namjoon we were in diapers. My mom – well, Aunt Soo, couldn’t make it though.” Jeongguk was the first to come and check on you, your crew of overprotective friends once again coming to your rescue. The younger pouted visibly, “You’re taking forever, noona, and I’d like to eat sometime this century.” He blinked his large doe eyes at Hoseok, just now noticing him standing there. “No shit. Hey.” “Hi,” Hoseok practically bit out, finding it difficult to adjust to Jimin’s new boy toy. It took every ounce of self-control to remember that the entire evening was an act, one that he had to skillfully play through in order to get the bonus ending. He smoothed out his expression with that in mind, smiling tartly, “Jimin told me that you left this morning. I was like, wow, this guy is really fucking quiet. Creeper quiet, B&E quiet. Hide grandma’s good silverware quiet…” Jeongguk flashed him a confident smirk. “Your opinion is important to Jimin hyung and I didn’t want you to judge me too quickly.” “What’s there to judge?” Hoseok asked, dropping his eyes down at his plate, a partial lie slipping through a little less convincingly than all the others. “I’m glad that Jimin is happy.” Just not with you. Not with some guy that Hoseok could easily resonate with, their darkness matching in pitches – an asshole recognizing another asshole. “Come sit with us,” you offered, looking up at Jeongguk for confirmation that it was indeed a good idea. He seemed just as eager to have Hoseok join. “Yeah, hyung…” The ‘hyung’ a bit awkward from out of Jeongguk’s mouth, since it was the first time he’d used it. All for the sake of mannerisms. The table consisted of the groom’s closest friends, Taehyung seated amongst them. Hoseok purposefully sat across from him, wanting to see firsthand what Yoongi saw in the boy, since he hadn’t the faintest idea apart from the visual appeal. “Oh,” Taehyung breathed, somewhat stunned to see Hoseok sitting there in front of him. Seokjin, who was seated next to him, looked just as surprised, if not annoyed. Hoseok shot both men a wink, a coy smile gracing his lips. The last time he and the groom saw one another, it had been less than favorable. He figured there was still time to mend their relationship with some cringey aegyo bullshit. Hoseok could be cute and over the top when he wanted to be. “Small world,” Seokjin said with a huff of disbelief – like he’d spent years finally getting rid of Hoseok, but there he was again. “I’m sorry if this comes off as rude, but why…?” You squeezed in on the opposite side of Taehyung, head leaned against his shoulder. “He’s Namjoon’s cousin,” you said, a little excited about the discovery. Here you’d thought you’d never see Hoseok again, just to find out that he was tied to your best friend’s family. You didn’t believe in fate, but this came pretty close. “Aunt Soo’s son.” “Really?” Seokjin asked, immediately dropping the iciness in his tone. Gently nudging his new husband, he inquired, “What was your Aunt Soo’s son’s name again?” Hoseok’s laugh was infectiously loud, a disruption. It was enough to startle you from your spoonful of jjiggae. He was expecting this much, answering with ease like a well studied test, “It’s Bumkun, but I don’t really like to go by that name. It’s sort of impractical in my line of work.” Jeongguk peered over at him, genuinely curious. “What is it that you do exactly?” Namjoon frowned after a seconds worth of digesting the information. He raised a hand up to pause the conversation, “Wait, wait, wait a damn minute. You’re Bumkun?” “Technically,” Hoseok started, trying to bite back his amusement. Technically – he was Bumkun tonight. It was an unfortunate name and Hoseok would really hate for you to end up calling him by it, or anyone else for that matter. “…I’m happy that I was able to make it today. I haven’t seen you…” “In a long time,” Namjoon said, finishing the sentence. He reached his hand out for a bro’s embrace. “Man, how’s your mom?” Fuck, who knows? Hoseok took his hand, holding onto him. “You know, so-so. Still working on the farm.” “See? We gotta move her up here. The country air is good for her, sure, but she’d do better financially if she lived by the ocean,” Namjoon said and you could tell that he was about to list off all the reasons as to why fishing was a wealthier business, and thus more imperative. It would result in a long tangent that had the potential of lasting for hours. Desperate to change the topic, you turned to Hoseok, “You still didn’t answer Guk’s question. What is it that you do, Bummie?” For whatever reason, you thought that teasing Hoseok would be a good idea. You knew you’d thought wrong, when Hoseok narrowed his eyes at you then. It wasn’t unlike drowning in a dark abyss, falling without any hope of ever reaching the end. The intensity within that single glance alone was enough to send a violent chill down your spine. “Hoseok,” you said, rectifying your mistake. “Wait,” Namjoon paused, using his grip on the redhead to lean in over the table, undeterred by the fact that Hoseok was still burning you through. “Aunt Soo said that you couldn’t make it, because you weren’t granted military leave.” Hoseok grew still – now, he’d played tons of roles in order to secure his past lies. Luckily for him, he’d watched Descendants of the Sun a grand total of four times from start to finish. It wasn’t quite the same thing and he had zero past experience to speak of, considering the fact that he’d personally seen to the sabotage of his own future enlistment. Fuck it. Why not give it a whirl? Taehyung raised one of his thick eyebrows, “This guy?” It was absurd thinking that someone fresh from the military could also be the irresponsible bastard from just the night before. “At the last second, I was permitted to leave,” Hoseok said, starting to shovel in some of his food, before it got cold. Maybe he should have felt a little insulted by Taehyung’s obvious bout of disbelief, but eh – he didn’t blame him. It wasn’t like he’d left the best impression on any of them anyway, including you. Jeongguk nodded, seeming to understand the situation a bit better, “You’ve been in the service this whole time? Jimin hadn’t mentioned that to me.” ‘Who are you? His fucking keeper?’ Hoseok wanted to snap, but alas, he had to swallow it with a glass filled high with soju. Instead, he replied, “Jimin is soft.” Then it started to dawn on him that one too many people were involved for his farce to carry on seamlessly. Eventually, he would be found out. If not today with Namjoon and his questioning, then later when Jimin would gracelessly choke on the mention of his new military career. It was only a matter of time. “And he’s also not the type to discuss my business with perfect strangers.” Mm, perfect strangers… He wondered how much Jeongguk enjoyed that wedge he placed between them. Could he feel it, the very tangible, arguably unnecessary hate coming from Hoseok? Well, he fucking hoped so. The rest of the table talk revolved around Hoseok’s time in the service, coming up with the most absurd stories; that time when he was exposed to gas as a part of training, the asshole instructors, and the slow climb from trainee to becoming a private – the battalion that had become his home. Every now and then, Hoseok would lift his eyes to meet yours, catching you watching him, but he didn’t react how one usually does when confronted head-on. He didn’t bother with smiling or flashing you his dimples. No brows were raised in question, no basking in your embarrassment. He simply held you there, taking you in with such slow deliberateness, that you felt the dull familiar ache of arousal at the pit of your stomach. He didn’t even have to touch you in order to rile you up. A rush of excitement started to settle in when the room cleared out. Hoseok was trailing after you towards the reception hall, bringing his bottle of soju along with him, which was odd since there was an open bar waiting for him in the other room. Every time you looked over your shoulder to see if he was still there, you found him staring directly at you, coming closer with sure steps, until you made a point to stop. He mimicked the action, paused. For a long moment, that’s all that it was, leaving an insufferable space between you and him. Your world turned monochromatic, black and white for the exception of his too red hair, and smart ensemble. You just noticed how your own attire matched him in color and noise – you’d been inspired, for whatever reason not to be typical. As a result, you looked like you were his, and that wasn’t such a bad thought, being Hoseok’s… Taehyung was the one to pull you from your reverie. He took you by the wrist, intending to lead you towards the table that seated Namjoon and Seokjin, when he gave the redhead a backwards glance, “Hoseok, you’ll fit at the table with us, too.” He would fit, too? This really wasn’t how Hoseok saw his night progressing. Lingering in one place for too long wouldn’t be good for him and yet there you were, so wonderfully transparent and receptive to him. His little hook, line, and sinker. He knew that he could have you with minimum effort on his part. In many aspects, he felt that he already did, just not where it mattered. Not yet. Unable to deny the level of expectancy that Taehyung was putting out, Hoseok had no other choice, but to join you at the table, where Seokjin was trying to land one of his dad jokes. Unable to laugh, even with his boundless sense of humor, all Hoseok could do was cringe. They were that fucking awful. Namjoon seemed to be enamored by the elder, resting his cheek against his palm, like he was falling in love all over again, listening to another joke. Hoseok was almost relieved when the wedding toasts came early, since it put an end to Seokjin’s tirade. They were given by an awkward assortment of people. Namjoon’s family was weird, but the good kind of weird. His sister was the first one to go, a sweet little thing that Hoseok wasn’t allowed to go near due to his borrowed identity. The only person to speak for Seokjin was a friend and Jeongguk seemed eager to have that responsibility, casting pointed looks. Hoseok could tell that the kid wasn’t used to these types of things, mumbling throughout his speech, but finishing strong. The chaebol bastards almost seemed beside themselves with guilt. Almost. He really didn’t want or need a reason to like Jeongguk. You were the last person to give your toast and from the endeared looks of all your friends, it was probably the right choice. “I’d like to point out that I called this…” You gestured between Seokjin and Namjoon. “I was the one to say it, five years ago on the night that these two first met. We were fresh from our graduation ceremony. I told Changsub, wherever he is…” Changsub held up his wine flute, so that you could find him. You pointed at him, the two of you subtly hyping one another, “And I said, ‘Namjoon is going to fall in love tonight’ and I’d hoped that it would be some romantic, Lion King type o’ stuff…” Hoseok was about to dispute this, because Lion King was fucking tragic, you monster. Instead, he lowered his gaze at you, fighting against the smirk that was already tugging at the corners of his lips. Captivated by your energy, he was interested in seeing where you were going with this. “Seokjin, the moment you opened your mouth, I knew that you were Namjoon’s equal. You were talking way, way too much, and way too fast.” Everyone seemed to share a laugh at that, knowing from experience. “Your intelligence matched Joonie’s so well and that isn’t something I’ve ever recognized in any other person. You do it in a cool way, not in the nerdy way like he does it. You’re nicer about making people feel dumb.” You waited until the loud guffaws (mainly Namjoon’s) had quieted down, before you continued on a serious note, “No, but like, Namjoon does this thing, where he closes his eyes when he laughs. He does it all the time, to the point where people accuse him of being disingenuous, but that’s not true. Seokjin, you cracked a joke that night. Do you remember what it was?” You could tell that he didn’t, so you gave it to him, “What do you call a fake noodle?” Seokjin squinted, finding it difficult to remember the answer. You were still amazed that you could, that you did, and that your useless brain managed to hold onto a copy. “An impasta…” Namjoon said, before dying against his chair. How ironically fitting given his current predicament, Hoseok mused. “Seokjin told this joke and for the first time in a long while, Namjoon didn’t close his eyes when he laughed, and I knew. I knew it then. He doesn’t close his eyes when it comes to you. Thank you for coming into his life,” you said, trying to calm the shaking in your voice. “You’re two of the greatest men that I know and I love you guys. Please spend the rest of your lives happy.” How sweet. Hoseok clapped his hands together in a slow yet sharp succession, like the snapping of teeth. The entire room lit up for you, aside from Seokjin’s family, of course. They were too busy finding bigger sticks to shove up their rich, pampered asses. He fell deeper into his observation of you, dropping his cheerful expression for something more glacial and calculative. Tonight, you were a beacon, drawing him in close, despite the distance he’d specifically placed in order to separate you both. There were other women there, obviously – some of them prettier than the summer lilies back in Gwangju, but Hoseok was having a difficult time being super-fucking-ficial at the moment. He chose to avoid the dance floor, which was a pity, but he needed to strategize on how he was going to get laid tonight without interacting with any other living person. You scooted your chair out when Taehyung offered you his arm, claiming that you were overdue for a twirl. Namjoon and Seokjin had already shared their first dance and were well into their third by then. You’d been holding off, expecting Hoseok to ask you, but it was starting to become obvious that it wasn’t going to happen. You were grateful that the song was slow, Taehyung’s large hands finding your waist, and bringing you against the firm line of his body. You were never one to resist your friends, weak for them – the affection welcomed, soothing your silent cry for it. You dug your fingers into his shoulders, hoping that you were well hidden from Hoseok’s scrutiny. “You okay?” Taehyung asked, the deep timbre of his voice laced with genuine concern. The question almost threw you off a little. You raised your head toward him, but were unable to look at him. “Yeah, I’m fine.” You held him closer to you, trying your best not to sound so sad. “I was just thinking about how the wedding turned out really nice.” He grew silent, dark brown eyes searching you for what had felt like a long eternity. You wondered what the hell you’d end up giving away to him in the process. Taehyung’s stare differed from most, because he stole – literally stole whatever he needed from you, and if he knew you well to top it off, then you were as good as screwed. “You were happy seeing Hoseok again,” he stated, accusingly. The slow, rhythmic sway of your bodies had come to a stop. “You really like him? He looks bougie and practically reeks of the typical fuck boy aesthetic. It’s a bad combo.” Taehyung’s friendship was much like Jeongguk’s, both possessive and suffocating. You could handle it in small doses, but it was twice as overwhelming when Taehyung took your face into his palms, and forced you to finally look at him. “Even if you choose not to answer me, I can see it very clearly. I know you.” You briefly shut your eyes at that last bit, allowing Taehyung’s word to pick you apart. You placed your hands atop his own for stability, listening intently as he continued, “I haven’t told you this, but one of Hoseok’s friends picked him up the other night. He’s from Daegu. A bit short, but you know how I find that sort of thing cute, especially when they’re bound to top me…” You narrowed your eyes at him in suspicion. “So?” “So, I wouldn’t mind it if you and Hoseok got along together,” Taehyung finished, dropping his hands from your face to recapture your hands, remembering to move you along with the music. “Even if it is a recipe for disaster.” “Wow! What a relief to know that I have your permission,” you said, sarcastically. He took wider steps, taking in the way you smiled at the rush of movements. “Besides, I’m sure that Guk had the same thought already. The more the merrier when it comes to further entwining himself with Jimin.” You’d nearly forgotten all about Jeongguk’s interesting evening. A good friend would have checked in with him, maybe seen how it went. Well, most likely, considering the fact that he’d been in good spirits all night, shedding himself of the perpetual cloud that seemed to loom overhead wherever he followed. Jeongguk was practically glowing, giving you the impression that he’d had his fill, and then some. Taehyung skimmed his fingers down the length of your spine, “Let’s test Hoseok and see how long it takes for him to snap, hm?” Each time Taehyung looked over at the redhead sitting alone at the table, his eyes had been trained on you, contempt easily discernible. “There’s no point. He’s not even interested,” you argued, feeling somewhat irritable about it. Taehyung grew serious, “You wanna bet?” You snorted, because really – really, nothing was going to happen. Then the younger was giving you his bedroom eyes. Taehyung was attractive. One of the most gorgeous men you’d ever seen. Your mouth went dry when he spoke to you in a voice like velvet, “I always thought you were pretty, noona. Too pretty for your own good.” He emphasized his statement with the soft brush of his knuckles against your cheek, putting on a full performance that had laughter bubbling up inside your chest. He hissed through his teeth, scolding you, “Be serious or else this won’t work.” You pressed your hand on his chest, trying to prevent him from coming in any closer. The space between your lips and his own was already compromised, your breaths mingling. You whispered to him, “What should I be doing?” “Closer, noona,” Taehyung murmured, softly. You were both already so close – close enough to taste the alcohol on his breath. His eyes flickered to something past your shoulder, “You should see the look on his face right now. He looks like he was set on fire. So, if I die tonight, know that you were the one responsible.” Taehyung was trying his best to cheer you up, the least you could do was play along, childish antics or not. There would be no harm in doing this much. A little closer, he’d said? You fisted the front of his shirt, using it as leverage to pull him down the rest of the way. Taehyung’s mouth curled into a boxy smirk right before he captured your lips into a kiss that appeared hungry and consuming to anyone peering in from the outside. Meanwhile, your mind was wandering to other things, like what it would be like if Hoseok’s veins did house fire. If his every touch would scorch you all the way through, right down to the very marrow – if he’d set you ablaze as opposed to the frigid cold that you had succumbed to a long time ago. Your grip on Taehyung’s button up faltered. It was back to the frost that awaited you, off to that place where you felt nothing. When Taehyung parted from you, it was with a harsh breath. You were quick to compose yourself, eager to see the lie for yourself – the lie in which Hoseok cared, and that whatever you did mattered to him. You turned in the direction of the table to find Hoseok’s chair abandoned, catching a glimpse of him walking out of the hall. “You better go get that,” Taehyung said, smug in the fact that he’d been correct. “Be sure to thank me later.” There was no way in hell that Hoseok’s reaction was due to the kiss you shared with Taehyung. No – you weren’t convinced, however if that was the case, then you were obligated to chase after him, right? Although, why would he care? You’d only met him twice and you hardly knew each other. All you had was a very palpable tension, which really wasn’t enough to establish anything. You stepped out into the main lobby, calling out to him, “Hoseok, wait.” The sound of your voice seemed more desperate, as it echoed back. He paused in his steps, affording you enough time to catch up. You stood so that you were in front of him, obstructing his path – unprepared for the weight of his stare then, dark and accusatory. Maybe Taehyung was right? Hoseok looked furious, but surely it wasn’t because of you. “Where are you going?” you asked, wanting to confirm his reason for leaving. His response was immediate, “Go back inside.” You shook your head at him, “The whole point of me dramatically following after you is so that I can stop you from leaving.” The muscle in his jaw ticked in annoyance, teeth clenched. “And I’m leaving, so that I can prevent myself from making a scene.” Probably not the best moment to be flippant with your responses, but, “I think you’ve already accomplished that with your suit.” He laughed, humorlessly, “Yeah, you have five seconds to head back in by your friends.” “Or else you’ll do what?” you asked, trying to ignore the thrill of being threatened by him. You were never one for following orders. “God, look at you…” he said, tucking his hands into the pocket of his slacks as he stepped closer. You made no plans to move away from him. He tilted his head at you with bitter intrigue. “Too stubborn to heed my warnings? Come now. You’re a smart girl. You should go with your instincts and run while you still can.” You rolled your eyes at him, thoroughly done, “This is how you’ve chosen to spare me? Well, you can save that self-deprecating bullshit for someone else.” He grew still at the iciness in your tone, mentally bracing himself for the next sentence out of your mouth. “Did you think that I wanted the heroics, to be saved, to be courted?” You patted your hand against his chest, right over his heart, “As if I would ever dream of scaring you off with the threat of commitment, Hoseok.” He narrowed his eyes at you, carefully. “Do you enjoy getting hurt?” “No, quite the opposite, actually. I just want to feel good again.” He searched your eyes, before quickly grabbing you by the hand that was still on his chest, using his grip to pull you deeper inside the lobby. There was a semi secluded area covered with framed artwork and large roman pillars. You’d found yourself hidden behind the one furthest in the back where the lighting was most scarce. If Hoseok was being honest with himself, girls like you frightened the shit out of him. It wasn’t difficult to spot the potential of forever in another person, especially upon first meeting them. Everyone tried to sell the best version of themselves, before ever allowing their flaws to shine through. You kept proving to be real and unfiltered, and it was that reason alone that made Hoseok want to take his own advice – to stay the hell away from you. He even opted to leave the reception, too overcome with jealousy that he had no right to be feeling. He pressed your body against the cool surface of the pillar, while long, ring adorned fingers slid around the front of your throat. He took in the anticipatory tremble of your lips – your breaths too short, before he inhaled you into his lungs. Parting his mouth against yours, it was all light contact and stolen air. Hoseok was so slow in his approach with you, because he knew that his resolve was about ready to break, and that he’d forget to savor your act of submission. It was unusual for Hoseok not to be drunk during occasions such as these, yet there he was, hardly even buzzed from his bottle of soju. Fuck – he wanted to hate you so badly. It would be easier on the both of you that way. He tightened his grip around your throat, determined to swallow each pitiful gasp and whimper you made just for him, enticed by it. But then he wondered if you’d ever made the same sound for Taehyung. How many of your friends weren’t able to keep their fucking hands to themselves? You moved your jaw in languid rhythm against his own, moaning softly when he teased his tongue past your lips. The empty space made even the smallest of noises too loud and amplified. You tried your damndest to be quiet, until Hoseok was suddenly a force. The back of your head met the stone surface with a dull thud when he’d surged forward. The incessant press of his hips kept your body pinned between the pillar and his body. It felt like you were drowning, a startled gasp echoing when he pulled at your lips with the slow drag of his teeth. Your hands went to the top of his arms, seeking purchase, “Hoseok…” He gripped your face and turned your head to the side, fingers roughly digging into the line of your jaw to keep you still for him. Tucking loose strands of hair behind your ear, he left you exposed to the tickling warmth of his breath, “I gave you so many chances to leave, but you didn’t listen…” His mouth caressed your skin for each syllable, as he spoke evenly, “Should I fuck you right here? What if your friends were to overhear their little princess begging for my cock?” “Shut up,” you warned, growing silent from just the thought of it. You felt his teeth when he grinned into the side of your neck, thoroughly pleased with himself for striking a nerve. The air in the room grew thick with tension and for awhile, you could even hear your own pulse. He’d actually shut up. You were about to question it, when he took your earlobe into his mouth, suckling loudly. The diamond studded earring you wore kept catching on his teeth. Each touch felt inescapable, as he started to mouth at the side of your neck, working his tongue in wet circles over your skin, purposefully sucking down hard enough to leave bruises. Your hand covered his own, trying to pry his fingers from your face, but it was useless. “Stop marking me,” you gasped, inwardly seething when he nipped at you in response. The heat in your lower stomach had long since pooled over – your thighs rubbing together tightly. You could feel the mess of already being soaked through, your walls clenching around nothing each time he swiped his tongue across your skin. You quivered, body betraying you, “You’re the worst...” “Awe, but you already knew that about me,” he said, mock-pitying you as he pulled back far enough to inspect his work and felt satisfied with all the pretty red splotches covering the delicate line of your neck. He’d love to see Taehyung’s face the second he eyed them up. Hell, even Seokjin’s reaction, being the overprotective bastard that he was… “True and as much as I appreciate all the foreplay, we have to be quick.” Your absence wouldn’t go unnoticed and you both knew it. You dropped your hand to his belt buckle and had it undone with admirable speed. Hoseok hardly had time to be impressed, when he smoothed his hands down your sides, hiking your dress up on his way back to your waist. He then reached into his pocket for his wallet and removed the condom packet, tearing it open with his teeth like he’d done countless times before. You leaned against the pillar, allowing him to guide your leg around his hip. You could smell yourself, thick and heady, as the cool air swept over the arousal coating your inner thighs. “You’re so fucking wet for me,” he murmured, voice torn as he stroked his fingers over the red lace of your panties, lightly grazing your swollen clit with his thumb. He gauged your reaction, watching as you sucked in your bottom lip to hold in all your sounds. “Such a good girl you are…” he cooed his appraisal, taking in an audible breath and there wasn’t a single doubt in your mind that Hoseok could smell you, too – his eyes darkening, pupils dilated into two stones of black. It felt like you were in trouble. Unzipping his slacks, Hoseok rolled the condom between his fingers. He was ready to have you – to sink into you slowly, to stretch you open, until – Jimin flashed at the forefront of his mind, the little prick, reminding him not to ruin the evening. You’d made it clear that you didn’t want anything more than this moment. This was textbook. Hoseok had his share of women and men, left behind a long, miserable trail of broken hearts, and failed expectations. You were just another number, one more fuck, and it didn’t matter that you already felt perfect to him. You were open and soft for him, which kinda pissed him off. He seized you by the throat again, desperate almost, when his lips parted over yours – delving his tongue in deeply, filling you up. You breathed through your nose, bringing your hands to the side of his face, skimming his cheekbones with your fingertips. He rolled his hips against your own, the hard outline of his cock pressing into you firmly. You could kiss him forever, if time allowed it, but it didn’t and it felt like he was stalling. You went to tug at his briefs, when he caught your wrist midway – applying enough force for it to be considered painful. Hoseok released you slowly, your leg slipping from his body in the process. You watched as he took a couple steps backwards. Unable to look at you, he focused on tucking his shirt back into his slacks, before he adjusted his belt. Long, slender fingers brushed his blood red hair back into place. Despite how calmly he collected himself, Hoseok was about ready to fucking lose it. Any words or questions you currently had for him felt trapped, like they wouldn’t properly formulate past your lips. Your lungs burned, chest heaving for air that seemed to come in too slow. You were too stunned in the wake of what had seemed like obvious rejection and it made you feel sick to your stomach. You pushed your dress down over your legs with shaking fingers. It was obvious that he wasn’t going to say anything for himself. You returned the sentiment, as you wordlessly rounded the pillar. Hoseok hadn’t bothered with stopping you, too busy searching his pockets for his phone so that he could get the fuck out of there. He must’ve left it on the table in the reception hall. Oh, well for a smooth getaway. He gave you enough time to leave and space that you didn’t require, but would have in abundance from him anyway, before he headed back inside the hall. He dodged Namjoon’s family as though they were the plague, laughing obnoxiously whenever they approached him. He walked briskly towards the table where his phone was waiting for him. There really was no need for him to stick around, avoiding making any eye-contact. He could always step outside to set up an Uber. You returned from the bathroom, having calmed yourself down some, ready to face the party. Taehyung patted the seat between him and Namjoon. You joined them, allowing Taehyung to pull you against him. You only had a few moments of peace, before the younger would notice that something was wrong. You felt numb, as Hoseok was getting ready to take off. It would be rude to leave without saying goodbye – cousins and all. Hoseok extended his hand to Namjoon, congratulating him one last time. After this, he’d make sure not to fuck around with these people. They made him feel weird, confusing things. “Man, you’re going already?” Namjoon asked him, disappointment evident in his voice. “We were about to cut the cake. It’s bad luck if every person doesn’t have a piece.” Seokjin corrected him. “That’s only with birthdays.” Taehyung was doing his job of overanalyzing you. He’d assumed that things were going well when you didn’t immediately return after following Hoseok out. He’d even held Jeongguk off from finding you, hushing Seokjin’s curiosity just to buy you some alone time. Maybe he was wrong for doing so, sensing the tension between you and the redhead, and determined the outcome for himself. Namjoon’s family or not, Hoseok was walking on thin ice. “The ride back to base is going to be long and exhausting,” Hoseok said, back to smiling too wide and absurdly, as though it would somehow help to better conceal the blatant lie. “You don’t wanna know what happens when we don’t meet curfew.” Namjoon nodded, understandingly. “Alright. Well, it was nice seeing you. Tell Aunt Soo about moving up here. I’d help her get settled in.” Hoseok was about ready to respond, when he heard Seokjin’s, ‘Who the hell is that?’ He followed the groom’s eyes towards a young guy dressed in army fatigues who was currently hugging onto Namjoon’s mother. He waved his arm in a spastic manner at Namjoon, eager to rush on over once he was freed from the embrace. Fucking Bumkun. The redhead tried pulling away, but Namjoon was still holding onto his hand. It seemed like he was unwilling to let him go now more than ever, making it seem possible that the groom had doubted Hoseok since the very beginning, which was a terrifying thought. He tried once more to remove himself, but Namjoon wasn’t budging. Truth was that Hoseok didn’t want this to happen in front of you, not after the piece of shit move he’d just pulled. He also didn’t want it to go down right in front of your friends. He’d have to continue seeing Jeongguk after this fuck up, serving as an unpleasant reminder of the lives he’d meddled in. The guy held out both hands, expectantly, “Namjoon!” Contemplative, the groom decided to give it a try. He had a feeling, “Bumkun?” The guy’s face lit up, “Yeah, man! Hey, I know I’m late, but I made it.” Hoseok’s head fell back with a groan, “Fuck.” Seokjin’s eyes were about the size of saucers, as he stood up from his chair. He pointed a finger at Hoseok, “Who the hell is this, then?” Jeongguk snorted, unhelpfully, “Not Bumkun?” “Taehyung…” Hoseok heard you say in warning, your voice tight and raw with emotion. Ah, yes. Taehyung. It was a moment later that Hoseok found himself being ripped from out of Namjoon’s grasp and was roughly turned to face the younger. Taehyung was a big guy. Hoseok couldn’t help but wonder what the outcome of a real fight would have been if he hadn’t chose to stand there, waiting patiently for the violence. “Taehyung, don’t…” you tried, as you shot up from your seat in a desperate attempt to put a stop to it. Whether you were trying to protect him or the mood of the party, Hoseok couldn’t tell. A part of him hoped it was the latter, for your sake. Sadly it was too late for all your good intentions, when Taehyung wound his arm back, and let his fist fly forward, bone meeting bone with a sickening crack. Hoseok fell to the hardwood floor, palms flat against its surface where he caught himself. The last thing he recalled before slipping into total darkness was the warm, comforting touch of your small fingers. You were cradling his head in your lap, murmuring his name. He tried telling you he didn’t deserve you. He fucking tried. Seeing red still, Taehyung had to excuse himself, before he went on a goddamned rampage. He scooped up Hoseok’s phone on his way out. The summer air did little for his temperament, since he was already so hot with anger. It was rare that the younger was ever this livid, but once it happened, it was nearly impossible to set him back to normal right away. Taehyung pressed on the familiar name in Hoseok’s contacts and clicked Call. After a few rings, the background noise of a fan indicated that someone had answered. “It’s too early for you to be calling your hyung like this, ‘Seok-ah,” rasped Yoongi, who was nice and snug under his many layers of blankets. Taehyung shut his eyes and swallowed thickly against the familiar gravel in the blonde’s voice, “I guess I couldn’t help myself.” “Mm, guess not,” Yoongi said, sitting himself up in bed at the sound of Taehyung’s baritone. “You don’t have to keep stealing Hoseok’s phone just to talk to me, you know. You could always just give me your number.” Taehyung sighed deep from within his chest, trying to let go of some of his anger – failing. “You’re right. Sexting would get awkward if it had to be done using your piece of shit friend’s piece of shit phone.” The profanities tended to flow freely whenever Taehyung was this upset. “Did you fucking know that he was going to come here and crash my friend’s wedding today?” Yoongi paused, feeling his blood run cold when the realization dawned on him. “No, I didn’t know, and even if I did, there would be no reasoning with him. So, where is he now?” “Knocked the fuck out is where he is and I’m not sorry,” Taehyung said, as he uncurled his swollen fist, his knuckles already bruising. He’d wanted to break Hoseok with one punch. “I’m calling you, because I’d like it if you would come and get him.” Yoongi already knew why it had to be him, but he couldn’t pass up on the opportunity. “Jimin would be a better choice in this situation, being Hoseok’s roommate and all. Why does it have to be me?” “Are you really playing with me right now?” Taehyung asked, somewhat incredulous, too riled up to care about the consequence of his answers. “You know it’s because I want to see you again and I know…I know that you want to see me, too. I’ll text you the address.” Yoongi heard the call end and dropped his arm back down to the sheets. He was tired of Hoseok’s shit, but for once something interesting could blossom from it. The thought of Taehyung, so beautiful and strong, punching his best friend into the next realm was oddly erotic. He could hardly contain his smile, laughing into the quiet of his dark room. ‘Oh, Hoseok. You fucking idiot.’

Top 5 personal care tips when in the 60s
We all love the feeling when we are at our best. Practicing personal care helps us to feel so.
Personal care is one of the most important factors to make seniors feel good about themselves. Especially during covid times, practicing personal care is more important than ever.
As we age, older responsibilities weigh down our shoulders. Which gives us time to make choices for a better lifestyle. We can all help the loved ones in our lives to better themselves.
Many factors come into play with personal care. Here are the top five factors :
1.Maintaining your health- Health is the topmost factor to be considerate about. The food we intake reflects on the outside. Eating healthy and engaging in physical activity is a key to good health.
Factors to consider :
Avoid processed food: Processed foods are handy and easy to eat but that doesn’t make them a healthy alternative. The diminished taste buds can get seniors hooked onto the artificial flavor of processed foods. It’s necessary to keep an eye on their processed food intake.
Eat the rainbow: A rainbow food palette includes fruits and vegetables of different colors in your everyday diet. Different colored plants are linked to higher levels of nutrition and health benefits. These anti-inflammatory and antioxidants from different colors benefit various aspects of your health.
Get moving: Physical activity can help fight fatigue in seniors. It is a complete mood booster! Seniors can try light yoga exercises and listen to their bodies as they proceed. Exercise can help maintain healthy muscles and joints. It benefits overall well-being.
2.Do not skip skincare - Maintaining your skin health is another important factor of personal care. Skincare is probably the last thing that comes to your mind, but taking care of aging skin is important to prevent diseases. Aging skin is sensitive thus more prone to diseases.
Skincare tips:
Avoid taking excessive hot showers. Hot showers relieve muscle tension and relax your body. But excessive hot showers can damage your skin health and are advised to avoid at all costs, especially for seniors.
Use mild soaps with fewer artificial ingredients and fragrances.
Practice skincare by simply including a moisturizer and sunscreen. Do not forget to wear sunscreen while stepping out, especially when it’s sunny!
Always keep yourself hydrated.
3.Practice personal Hygiene- Personal hygiene comprises daily baths, oral hygiene, and grooming.
Things to keep in mind :
Maintain a consistent routine. If you are a caretaker, you can always encourage your loved one for a daily brush routine, followed by a bath.
Focusing on dental care is equally important. Brush daily and if you are someone with dentures, remember to always clean your mouth after removing them.
Not every family member is a cut-out to become a proper caretaker. If your loved one is struggling, you can always consider nursing care options.
You can follow your daily bath routine with a grooming session. It can be as simple as combing hair and changing clothes.
Lastly, if you are a caretaker, making their experience comfortable is important. Communicate with them and know if a shower chair or any other bathroom accessories would make their experience better. Comfort and care go hand in hand!
4.Safety supervision- Ensuring the safety of the seniors is a top priority. Factors that comprise the safety of the elderly are such as:
Decluttering the surroundings of the elderly can avoid the probability of them tripping over them later on.
You can consider placing an anti-slip tape outside showers as cases of slip and fall are very common among the elderly’s.
Taking precautions of these small things can add up to a vast difference.
5.Take out time for Hobbies- As we get older taking out time for hobbies somehow feels like the last thing that crosses your mind. But is definitely one of those things that can light up your mood!
Throughout your life, while constantly fulfilling responsibilities, one forgets to practice the thing that they once loved. Now that you have time on your hands to kill, get back to whatever made you happy. It can be reading, singing, dancing, baking anything!
You can also take up new hobbies to explore even more.
As an elder, you have been caught up in life, but now is the time to take care of yourself. Practicing personal care is a form of self-love and no matter what age you are, do not forget to fall back in love with yourself!

Importance And Necessity Of Dressing Tables
A dressing stand or table is one of the most important furniture in residential houses. This sort of furniture can be utilized for many purposes such as storing clothes, keeping makeup items, keeping dressing accessories like bangles and necklaces. These tables also accommodate intimate personal accessories like undergarments, skin lotions or lubricant gels, especially if it is designed for the bedroom.
These tables are accompanied by classic or vintage mirrors. These mirrors play an important role in helping us to dress up and go out with confidence. Sometimes you also get a free side stool or chair from furniture shops, which help you to relax, sit and preen yourself before the mirror while getting ready.
These tables also include drawers for a storage facility. Most individuals keep items such as makeup boxes, perfumes, watches, belts, earrings, lipsticks, kid items and lingerie clothing in the drawers. Usually, dressing tables have 3 to 4 drawers to store many different things. They reflect the personality and preferences of the people using it. For example, a bachelor will fill his table with all kinds of deodorants, perfumes, boxer underwear sets, belts and even a condom or two!
You can look for ready-made dressing tables or a place a made-to-order piece according to your taste and budget. Usually, people prefer to go for dressing tables with more storage capacity. Nowadays, buyers also prefer to order a unique custom-made aesthetically designed fancy dressing table for their home, which can complement the ambiance and create a lasting impression.
You would need to consider the exact place or room where you want to place your dressing set. Bigger dressing tables will be ideal for spacious bedrooms, while smaller dressing sets can be accommodated in the spare room or guest room. Furniture designers even suggest a modern and airy bathroom for placing your dressing stand. Some latest designer pieces also include electric outlets for placing blow dryers or facial massagers.
