Backstory: Everlei was a college student hoping to graduate from a local college in her state, when she discovered her current boyfriend was cheating on her with a popular girl she was repeatedly told not to worry about. Under the pressure of being a once perfect girl in her home, her school, her life in general, she snaps, and steals a rifle from her veteran neighbor. She shoots both her ex and the other woman, only killing her ex. The other woman survives and a warrant for arrest is put out for Everlei. She keeps the rifle, runs across the country, and flees any sort of place that may turn her in. It isn’t until she reached the Badlands that she is discovered by accident, when Sniper mistakes her for an animal, and shoots her with a tranquilizer dart from the Sydney Sleeper. Upon being discovered she is brought to the base, and after healing, interrogation, and a test of mercenary skills, she is eventually accepted as an additional RED mercenary, one who can act with high proficiency in the support role. From her time spent working in a coffee shop on espresso machines, she has enough engineering background to act as an assistant to engineer, when he needs it. It is also found during the events of Scream Fortress, that her grandmother, Gwen, knew Merasmus. They did not get along, so Eve is aware of this when Merasmus comes to visit, and Merasmus can see Gwen’s features in Eve’s face. Merasmus awakens the witch powers within Eve that are passed down from her grandmother, but she refuses to join Merasmus in his conquest because she thinks he is a lunatic, and she is well-allied with her mercenary group. She instead uses the awakened witch powers to fight back against Merasmus and offer advice on how to deal with magical effects, as many mercenaries are navigating on their own how to deal with and combat them.

Entry 1

My name is Joshua Nosce, and I am an international working student born and raised in the Philippines for 25 years. I speak mostly English and speak fluently in Filipino. My knowledge of different sports is high, but my interests are mostly in basketball, baseball, soccer, American football, and Formula 1.

Throughout my history with school and work, I did my secondary and high school diploma at the Kolbe Academy, which is a home school program located in California, USA for 5 years. I went to different schools studying different courses like culinary arts and game development after high school to see where I wanted to be in the future. I had several jobs after becoming a barista at Seattle’s Best Coffee, and then a sales associate at Titan Basketball store. I completed certificate and diploma courses in accounting and sports management respectively. I attended several basketball camps and programs after, mostly with the Filipino Basketball Academy to improve my skills in basketball.

With the very limited options I have in the Philippines and the passion I have for sports, I decided to go to Australia to study any courses that involve sports. When I arrived, I completed a diploma course in Sports Management so I can take up a Bachelor’s degree in sports. I am now completing my last year of studies in the Bachelor of Sports Business at Holmesglen Institute. Throughout my study at Holmesglen, I have discovered many learnings about sports in Australia and skills that I must or can use within the sports industry. My skills have improved in how to interact with people and connect with them within the sports industry, but it still needs to improve on gaining more connections, by talking more with the people around me.

Right now, I am working as a Venue Operations Officer at the Melbourne Sports Centres working and assisting with the events of different sporting organisations. I just recently started my internship as a Data Acquisition Support with Baseball Australia going to Melbourne Aces games and recording every play of the game, which could be my career goal. I am still planning to take up another internship with another sports organisation to gain more connections and experience. At the end of my course, finish my internships, and graduate, I hope to become a Data Analyst or any operational position in an office at basketball, soccer, or any sporting organisation like the NBA, EPL, NFL or Formula 1.

Ivy Kipi Kekoa was born February 9th, 1994, to Maile and John Kekoa, a couple who had moved from Hawaii to Lima, Ohio only three months prior in order to be closer to Maile's aging parents, who had lived in Cleveland for years. Young Ivy was fortunate enough to have been born to two dedicated, loving parents, and her early childhood was a happy, uncomplicated time.

When Ivy was six years old, during a visit to her grandparents in Cleveland, her grandmother put on a CD of the original Chicago West End soundtrack while cooking, belting out "All That Jazz" alongside Maile and dancing the young girl around the kitchen to the tune of "Roxie". From that moment onward, Ivy developed a deep love for musical theatre, singing, and performing, listening obsessively to any musical soundtrack she could get her hands on and, eventually, writing her own songs, wanting to be the next Joni Mitchell or Carole King if she somehow couldn't be the next Bernadette Peters.

Maile Kekoa was also a proud feminist, and made sure to teach her daughter to fight for equality as well. Unfortunately, there wasn't much room for an outspoken feminist Pacific Islander girl in small-town Ohio, and Ivy often found herself the subject of bullying and ridicule. She also entered into a fierce rivalry with fellow aspiring theatre star Rachel Berry, who always seemed to beat her out in singing competitions or for the roles in community theatre productions she wanted. She was, thankfully, able to find a friend in Mercedes Jones, a fellow outspoken girl who refused to take crap from the popular kids. Their friendship was almost instantaneous and mutually admiring, each girl regarding the other as something close to a sister and being amazed by her vocal talents.

As sophomore year of high school began, Ivy was looking forward to karaoke nights with Mercedes, going to protests in the nearby towns, and generally finding ways to piss off McKinley's jocks and cheerleaders. But when she spied a sign-up sheet for a glee club being run by her least-favorite teacher, she thought that perhaps this might be the year she finally showed the teenagers of Lima just how good she was - and hopefully show up Rachel Berry along the way.

Though Ivy's grandparents fully accepted her when she came out as asexual (as did her parents), the coming out itself took about an hour and a half because she had to convince her grandfather not to immediately make "proud grandparent" t-shirts.

Ivy read Simone de Beauvoir's classic feminist book The Second Sex when she was only ten years old. She didn't understand most of it at the time, but it's one of her mother's favorite books, and she understands it much better now that she's read it nine times.

born in jeju, south korea, teddy’s parents were very in love but also very young when he came to be. the two had a bit of a romeo and juliet story, born into rich families who didn’t approve of their relationship, and even more so of how, unmarried at 18, the two ended expecting a child

and none of them regretted this one bit. teddy was born and raised with two parents, whose love for each other was only matched by their love for their child. they supported anything and everything teddy wanted to do since before he could even talk

because of this, teddy grew up into a sweet, caring and considerate person, who believed in everything good in the world. but he also never truly had to figure out anything for himself. some may say that his parents coddled them too much, which is likely very true, and that this hindered his ability to truly be independent

upon graduating school at 18, teddy got his first ever job as a bartender. they weren’t the best at it, dropped a few too many bottles and spilled a few too many drinks, but they enjoyed it well enough

however, it was while bartending that teddy got to know just how bad people could be. he often saw the worst of the worst, and stuck behind a long wooden counter could never really do anything to help

over the next several years they job hopped a lot. from bartender to secretary to decorator to barista, teddy had a hard time figuring what he wanted to do and settling down. until a job position as a bouncer opened up at that same first club that he worked at that is

it took a while for him to get used to the job, to being able to say no and stay firm when need be, but after a bit of practice and some growth as a person, teddy really took to the job; charming enough to pacify upset people, and strong enough to use a bit of force when talking them down didn’t work

but then, aged 26, his mother got a job offer. in the united states. and being so close to his parents, teddy hated the idea of being so far from them, only being able to occasionally connect over the phone or web

so of course, it was no surprise when they decided to move across the pond with them

it wasn’t hard for teddy to get a job working security with revolution records. firstly, starting off working security for the building, and doing a good enough job that he worked his way up the job ladder until he was juggled around the company where he was needed, working as main bodyguard to the company higher ups and top artists

What is Crowdsourcing?

Crowdsourcing includes the aggregation of work, information and opinions from a wide number of individuals who use the Internet , social media and smartphone applications to contribute their data (Hargrave 2019).

What is Crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding has collected a small amount of money from a vast group of people to fund a new venture, according to Smith ( 2019). Crowdfunding offers a high degree of access to social networking and crowdfunding sites for people's networks. Hundreds of thousands of people have been motivated by popular crowdfunding sites like kickstarter to invest in the next important thing. More than 160,000 projects have been funded on-site since 2009 and Kickstarter projects have raised more than $4.2 billion in donations.

Where can Crowdsourcing be applied?

Crowdsourcing is used through both corporate and social experiences. The way people are hiring, working, assembling and selling is changing. In addition, politicians are using crowdsourcing to create a platform for people to voice their views. Parliament & Public, for example, is an online website used in France by politicians and residents for political and legislative discourse. The final report will provide guidance at the end of this time as to when and how public feedback is used in the draught regulations (Opinion 2018). Useful clinical data can also be produced by crowdsourcing in the health and science industries. One example is Harvard's Eliot Van Buskirk Multi-Source Diabetes Project. InnoCentive opened two years ago at the School of Clinical and Translation Sciences, where people can ask questions about diabetes and experts can answer questions. Money prizes give the best responses and questions (Continuum n.d.).

What is the difference between Crowdsourcing and Crowdfunding?

Crowdsourcing is basically a process in which people search information together, while crowdfunding means that people make voluntary contributions to support start-ups, organisations or even individuals (Harvard 2019). (The Harvard 2019).

Let 's find the example of Crowdsourcing and Crowdfunding

'Ushahidi' is a good example in the field of crowdsourcing. Ushahidi is a website that lets users transfer text messages or news items to a Google Map and it means 'testimony' as it is translated to Swahili. This website was set up by David Kobia and 20 other Kenyan entrepreneurs living in the USA to relay news to more than 45.000 Kenyans about death, abduction, theft and other abuses. Many that want to share their stores could post reports through SMS or the site itself, which makes it a valuable tool for people with silenced media voices. The app was successful in alleviating conflict in Kenya, prompting developer teams to invest more money on the initiative and upgrading the software by adding Twitter , Facebook and the most up-to - date on the web to display overtime crowd-sourced images of events on a single map (Ford, 2012).

The Starbucks Cup Design Rivalry is also an example of crowdsourcing. The cups used by Starbucks coffee, rather than the Starbucks white logo, are white in colour. This inspired the Starbucks baristas to qualify for the White Cup award in the spring of 2014. Starbucks consumers had to prepare their cups with their own original designs, take a snapshot of the cup and upload it on social media via the hashtag # white cup competition. There were four thousand separate ideas over the span of a few months, and the selected versions that were won were used for the 2014 recycled limited edition cup. Every year, reusable cups come in different types. Each cup costs $1 and is available 30 times before disposal. For those who have used these recycled cops if they buy Starbucks products, a discount of 10 cents is issued. This is Starbucks' effort to become greener and more eco-friendly and to encourage more creative individuals (Speier 2016).

Indiegogo is a very good example of crowdfunding. In 2008, Indiegogo started to become more flexible and expansive with the financing of different forms of projects, such as charities and start-ups, as a crowd-sourcing network that raises money to support independent films (Smith, 2019).

Patreon is another example of this. Patreon is a website set up by authors, musicians and others. Artists, dancers, or even others who teach how to make kitchen stuff like chairs and tables. These developers can learn advanced tutorials in which expert and frequent users can pay extra money to access the tools they want while at the same time financing their content creators.

Effects of fake news on Crowdsourced information

What information is correct online can be difficult to understand. The exponential growth of "false news" and its propensity to spread through traditional news will make a rather confusing distinction between accurate evidence and inaccuracies (Carufel 2019). However, a recent investigation has shown that crowdsourcing is the key to avoiding the danger of misleading news. The approach to combating fake news was based on public opinion polling to assess the level of public trust in 60 news sources, including 'hyper-partisan' networks, as studied by MIT scholars David Rand and Gordon Pennycook. After analysing the results , the researchers concluded that the implementation of classified news coverage scores could help to remove incorrect data (Gaszcz 2019).

Early Life: 

Andrew and Rachel Willman welcomed their only baby boy on a particularly cool summer evening. Nolan didn’t find out until much later in life that he was conceived as a last ditch effort to repair a broken marriage. — well surprise! that didn’t work out—  Nolan spent his life traveling between his mother’s house on the Cape and his father’s down in Boston. After the divorce, his mother opened a boutique on the Cape (with her own original jewelry and local goods) and lived comfortably off alimony and child support. She also had her share of suitors— though none of them made the jump to marriage. His father was a banker in Boston with a new sky high apartment where Nolan had a  floor all to himself. His father also had a new girlfriend pretty much every week— who pretty much ignored the younger boy’s existence. He escaped the forever revolving door of nannies and his parents' new spouses by playing hockey.

Hockey: 

Nolan had a natural talent when he put on skates for the first time. His dad placed a stick in his hands and a puck on the ice and Nolan never stopped from there. He played in the local leagues until USA Hockey scouted him and invited him to play for the Tier I league. He is a very talented center— with a knack for the face-off circle. He left home at 16 to play in Nebraska. He played with Tri-City until he was 18. He was integral to their championship in 2015. He left after that year to play for Cornell University. He was drafted by the New York Rangers in the second round in 2015. He chose to continue his NCAA career and played three seasons with the Big Red. He signed his entry level contract the summer before what would have been his senior year. Three years later, Nolan has secured a 5-year contract with the Rangers organization —  which comes with a hefty pay raise. 

College: 

Nolan became a start center by his sophomore year. This led to a lot of attention that Nolan graciously accepted (i mean isn’t that what a kid who grew up with divorced parents and pretty much didn’t see his family as a teenager would dream of!?) Sure he ate, drank, and slept hackey back then, but a frat party in the city or a beach laden break trip always caught his eye. But everything took a backseat when he started noticing a blonde that always placed her coffee order before him at his favorite cafe. It wasn’t close to school or anything— but they sure made the best lattes he’d ever tried. His attempts to talk to her were always short lived because they were both always in a rush to get to class/practice.  so he devised the plan one Friday morning where he bribed the barista working to leave a note on her cup with his number. By the end of the day, a date was planned and they hit it off pretty spectacularly. Nolan really enjoyed the way she brought out the good in him and challenged him on a regular basis. He’d always spot her at games when she made it out to them and she’d even infiltrated his friend group and made everyone love her. But all good things come to an end— and he’s always been one to self sabotage his own happiness—  he got a little too used to the attention that came from being a star athlete and having a girlfriend that went to another college (and had a pretty rigorous academic schedule) made it easy for him to let girls get close to him at parties and eventually he let them take it farther. His training camp sessions with the Rangers also opened his world to the allure of being a professional athlete. He knew it was wrong to do it all behind her back, but he couldn’t help the feelings that came from meeting those girls behind her back. Of course, she found out just as he got the call from the Rangers that an ELC was on the way…He knows he broke her heart— knows that what he did is unforgivable. Still, her blonde hair and infectious laugh still pops up from the depths of his mind from time to time. 

Life in New York: 

During his first three seasons in New York, Nolan lived with his line-mate— and best friend. He’s had his share of hookups and even a few short term girlfriends, but it always ends the same—  he cheats when he feels himself developing real feelings. After signing his new contract, Nolan has decided to try living on his own with no roommates for the first time in his life. He just signed a lease on a new apartment in Brooklyn. When he’s not on the road, Nolan is very much into the club scene of NYC. He has a few promoter friends that always let him know where the best gigs are happening every weekend. Something inside of him is changing now that he sees most of his teammates getting engaged, married, and having kids. Is he finally growing up? Only time will tell…
