I can imagine. All these lazy urban legend/creepypasta games make me legitimately thankful for good horror games like SOMA or Penumbra

pfft, I just avoid pure horror genre on principle. 

fantasy with horror elements? cool. sci fi with horror elements? neat

rom-com with horror elements? tv drama with horror elements? fucking, anything with horror will be interesting, even if it’s like, total shit. 

Horror, like comedy, is a condiment. add it to a genre, sprinkle it within the plot. making something that’s purely horror or purely comedy is like making a ketchup sandwich.
