i'd like you to make requests for my favorite character Benny Weir please
YES YES YES!!!!!! Sorry it's so short, but I hope you like it <3
Tumblr media
Tumblr really loves messing up my formatting/work for no reason
Always calling you babe or hottie
ngl gives me white knight energy [In a Good way]
He's very protective over you
If you ever get hurt, he freaks out
^ "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!" He's freaking out and in panic mode
^ He'll try and use magic to help [ You have a 50/50 chance of it either working or making the situation first]
He puts his hand infront of you when something is heading infront of you
He also covers you [Like if something is going to blow up or something, he'll wrap his body around you]
Really clingy. Like bro always has an arm wrapped around you
You make him so giddy
Tell him a dad joke, he eats that stuff up
He always uses stupid pick-up lines and tells you cheesy jokes
^ You always laugh, even if it's a pity laugh
Has that love-struck look in his eyes every time he looks at you
He said 'I love you' first
It was probably over the phone too, and you repeated it without thinking about it
When you ended the call, he sat in his bed, shell shocked because oh my god you said it back??? You said you love him??? Oh god, he's in so deep
You have him wrapped around your finger and you don't even know it
His grandma loves you and is impressed that Benny even got you to date him
^ It's a running joke at his expense
Since you are dating, you are around Ethan a lot
It can be a little awkward, cause you both only share a mutual kinship with Benny, but you eventually get over the awkwardness, thank god

i'd like a Benny weir x reader where he turns evil due to stern putting a mind control spell on him to kill the reader but the reader saves him by confessing her love to him causing to him to snap out of it
Tumblr media
Clouded Eyes (Benny Weir X Reader)
Masterlist
Request Something!
Summary: Jesse wants to break your little friend group apart from the inside out. He uses his vampire hypnosis to turn Benny against you all, but you luckily catch on quick. Now you just have to find a way to break him free from Jesse’s mind control.
A/N: changed it from stern to jesse teehee also warning for mean benny…
***
When Jesse came to prom and practically cornered Sarah into drinking Ethan’s blood to turn her into a full vampire, he thought she’d run into his arms for guidance on her new life. He wanted to tell her that her best chance at surviving was to stay with him, help rebuild his following, and one day rule Whitechapel and then the world.
But that didn’t happen, obviously. Erica and Rory, full vampires themselves, comforted Sarah with this new change and supported her want to distance herself from the rest of her friends while she adjusted. Half to train herself to not lose control and half because she was afraid to face Ethan after the trauma that he had endured that night.
Jesse didn’t like that Sarah didn’t need him. He wanted to take away anything that stood in his and Sarah’s way.
He felt lucky when he spotted Benny on his own. Jesse watched from the shadows as the boy left his house, making his way to Ethan’s. He waited to ensure the two of them were completely alone before he struck.
Jesse figured that trying to turn the spellcaster wouldn’t work. He had already tried to turn one of Sarah’s friends before. Luckily, being a powerful vampire, he had other powers he could use.
***
“Shouldn’t Benny be here by now?” You asked, looking down at your watch. He was an hour late to the time that your group had agreed on, which was entirely unlike him. He was usually the first one to get to Ethan’s house.
“Maybe he’s picking up food?” Rory suggested.
“Doubt it,” Ethan said. “He would’ve told us.”
You wished that Sarah and Erica were here. You hadn’t seen Sarah in a few weeks, ever since the dance incident, and Erica didn’t feel like being surrounded by geeky testosterone without her. If they were here, they probably would’ve been able to take away your worries about Benny. They were the only ones who knew of your feelings for the wizard. You could’ve told everyone else, but Rory was known to speak without thinking, and Ethan probably wouldn’t be able to keep the secret.
“I bet he’s fine,” Rory said. Soon after his statement, the door opened, and you all perked up. “Told ya!”
Everyone watched as Benny walked into the room. He seemed… different? It was like his energy was more subdued than usual. And there was some kind of glint in his eye.
“Hey, Benny.” You said, standing up and walking over to him. His brows furrowed, giving you a small but intense glare. You took a slight step back in surprise. “You okay?”
One second, you were standing in front of Benny, waiting for a response. The next, your back was pinned to the kitchen island while Benny started muttering an incantation, hand raised about you and slowly glowing. Ethan and Rory ran to your rescue, trying to pull Benny off of you. The evil grin on his face scared you.
When the boys had gotten his grip on you to loosen, you slipped out from under him and ran around the island. Benny decided to focus whatever spell he was trying to cast on Ethan and Rory, who were trying to hold him off. You looked around for something to save the three of you. Deciding a frying pan was your best option, you grabbed one from the counter and hit Benny over the head with as much force as you could.
The three of you stared at Benny’s collapsed body on the ground. The only sound in the room was everyone’s heavy and exhausted breathing.
“So…” You say, throwing the pan on the island. “What now?”
***
By the time Benny had woken up, he was duct taped to one of the chairs from Ethan’s dining room that was dragged into the living room. You, Ethan, and Rory stood in front of him, observing him.
“Benny?” Ethan waved a hand in front of his face, and Benny glared him down.
“Okay, something’s definitely wrong,” Rory said.
“You think?” You responded sarcastically. “I’m pretty sure he just tried to kill us; that seems pretty uncharacteristic.”
Benny struggled against his binds. You weren’t sure how he’d act when he woke up, so you taped up his hands and ankles, plus taping his chest to the back of the chair. You hated to see him struggling, clearly miserable, but you knew that this wasn’t Benny.
“Maybe evil Benny came back?” Ethan suggested, but you shook your head at the idea.
“We destroyed the camera, remember? Besides, evil Benny was more like a delinquent, not an attempted murderer.”
“Let me go.” Benny rocked back and forth, trying to loosen the tape.
“Maybe a spell backfired?” You leaned forward a bit to look at Benny, and he stopped his erratic movement to stare at you. For the first time, you noticed that his eyes seemed clouded. By what, you weren’t sure. “Maybe we should get his spellbook…”
“Where would it be? I don’t think he brought it with him.”
“It’s probably in his room. Somebody should probably go over there and get it.”
“I will.” Rory and Ethan say at the same time.
After some discussion, you all decided that Rory would use his super speed to race Ethan to Benny’s house, and they would look for his spellbook together while you stayed at the Morgan’s and made sure Benny didn’t free himself. Not wanting to leave you defenseless, Ethan gave you a baseball bat and extra duct tape from the garage before he and Rory left.
You sat on the couch, bat in hand, having a stare-down with Benny. He tapped and clawed at the chair’s arms. You were surprised that he didn’t try to use magic to free himself, but you weren’t gonna bring it up and give him any ideas.
“What happened to you, Benny?” You muttered, staring at the boy that you knew but couldn’t recognize.
“Shut up.” He grumbled. You rolled your eyes and leaned back on the couch. “I don’t get why we’re even friends with you.”
You perked up a bit, brows furrowing in confusion. Benny had a slight smirk, knowing he was reeling you into a trap.
“What are you talking about?”
“You’re basically worthless.” He gave a humorless chuckle, finally relaxing the chair. He leaned his head back, still looking at you. Seeing your taken aback look, he continued. “You’re just a human. No powers, no skills, nothing. You’d be doing everyone a favor if you just left us alone.”
Your breath hitched, trying to hold back some tears that suddenly wanted to fall. You had to remind yourself that this wasn’t Benny. It may have been his body, but you knew (or at least hoped) that it wasn’t his thoughts that he was thinking.
“You don’t mean that.” Your voice came out in a broken whisper, and Benny grinned, having you right where he wanted you.
“Aw, Y/n.” He cooed, leaning forward as much as he could. “You thought we actually liked you or something? That you were anything more than something to look at?”
“I hope you don’t remember this.” You say, standing up. You started slowly pacing around the room, glancing at Benny every few seconds. “When we fix whatever happened to you, I hope you don’t remember this. Because my Benny would feel horrible if he knew he said something like that to a friend.”
“And that’s all you will ever be, Y/n. A friend. I’m not your Benny; I’m not your anything. I get that you’re in love with me or whatever, but let’s face it, you never stood a chance.”
You stopped in your tracks and looked at him.
“Now I really hope you don’t remember anything.” You whispered, walking to stand in front of him. You put your hands on your knees and bent down to his level. “So what? So what if I’m in love with Benny? You’re not him; you’re some twisted thing that happens to look like him, and whoever turned him into you is sick.” You practically spat out the words, frustration replacing the sadness. You straightened up and turned around, wanting to go someplace that would give you space from him while still keeping him in your line of sight. “If the real Benny knew how I felt about him, he wouldn’t treat me this way. He’d never do that.”
“What?” Benny said lowly, staring at you. He blinked slowly, processing your words.
“You heard me!” You leaned against the wall. “Even if Benny didn’t love me back, he’d still be my friend.”
“You love me?” His voice was softer than it had been the whole night. You looked at him. Somehow, Benny seemed completely different.
You slowly walked over to him, dropping your bat on the couch. He was staring at the ground in deep thought.
“Benny?”
“You love me.” It was a statement this time, and Benny looked up at you. His eyes were clearer now, with an indecipherable expression behind them. He tried to stand up, but looked down at the situation he was in. “Why am I tied up?”
“Well…”
“We’re back!” Rory announced as he and Ethan ran into the house. Ethan held up Benny’s spell book. “Took forever to find. How was he?”
“Guys, why am I tied up?” The boy in question asked, growing confused and panicked.
“I think he’s back to normal.” You say, running to the kitchen to grab some scissors. “Benny, what happened before you came over?”
“All I did was walk over.” He said with a sigh. Then he tilted his head and straightened up as best he could, as if he remembered something. “I think… I think I might’ve ran into Jesse.”
“Jesse? Like Jesse Black?” You asked, cutting the tape that bound Benny to the chair.
“Well, that explains everything,” Ethan said, dropping onto the couch. “Rory, don’t vampires have, like, hypnosis powers or something?”
“Only really powerful ones.”
“Jesse’s a powerful one.” You say with a sigh. Soon, all the tape was cut so Benny could be free from the chair, and you helped him rip the tape off his clothes.
“Why was I tied up, guys? What happened?” You, Ethan, and Rory looked at each other, having a silent conversation.
“We’ll tell you later.” Ethan decided, and you all nodded in agreement.
Benny nodded along with you all before looking at you.
“You said you love me.” He said softly, loud enough for you to hear and no one else. You gulped, wishing he’d forget that so you wouldn’t have to deal with the rejection. At the very least, he could’ve waited to continue this conversation when you were alone to spare you the embarrassment of your other friends watching.
“Maybe…” You said, although you both knew it was true. You looked down to avoid his stare, playing with your fingers. “I know that’s probably weird for you to hear, but I hope we can still be friends because-“
“I don’t wanna be friends,” Benny said before grabbing your face and bringing your lips to his. You quickly accepted the affection, wrapping your arms around his neck to pull him closer to you.
“What happened while we were gone?” Rory asked Ethan as they both watched the scene in front of them.
“I don’t know, and I don’t wanna know.”

request where Benny Weir comforts the reader after a nightmare or panic attack
I'm here ~ benny weir x reader
Tumblr media
summary- your boyfriend finds you having a panic attack and helps you through it.
tw- panic attacks, anxiety, teachers, im fine, bullying (sorta?)
Ok so I'm using inspo from the panic attacks i have. I'm usually a bitch for a while and then i just like start crying and hyperventilating.
Tumblr media
"She's been acting weird since yesterday? We were calling on Skype and then she just like had an energy change? It was like a curse overtook her?" Benny explains to Ethan, worried.
Ethan rolls his eyes, "well at least you can get a girlfriend Benny! Did you even ask if she was okay?"
"She said she was fine" Benny says, emphasizing with his hands.
"Yikes you gotta go fix that now" Ethan says; stretching his mouth to show his teeth, and sucking in air.
Benny rolls his eyes and walks away, he already knew that. he was just seeing if it was weird to anyone else. To see if any of it is concerning, besides the part he might be in trouble...
Thats when he sees a circle of people, some recording some staring, some look worried, yet no one helping. What the hell is happening over there? He walks over there, heres a girl crying. Hyperventilating. A teacher is in there I guess, it sounds like a teacher's voice.
"You kids need to get to class! You're making her more uncomfortable, if i see any of you still out here I'll write you up!" The voice yells. Yep, definitely a teacher.
As all of the kids left he was just trying to see who the girl was, that was in the middle. So there were like 3 people left. It was you. You were in the middle, you were the one the assholes were laughing and poking fun of, you were the one people were recording. He just stared for a second, furrowed brows and a worried expression. He would've eventually helped if the teacher hadn't yelled at him again.
He went to his class and all he heard was 'did you hear about the girl having a panic attack in the hallway today?' that is all he heard. that is all he heard about you. No text, no seeing you in class that day, nothing.
He heard the bell ring and ran straight for home. Any other day he would've waited for you or Ethan, sometimes Rory. Except he couldn't wait for you, you were waiting for him this time. So he left school by himself. Went to the store to buy you stuff he knew you would like. He bought your comfort snack(s) and a fuzzy blanket (comfort items you like when you're upset!). He knew he should've helped as soon as he noticed a difference. he didn't eat lunch today so he had some lunch money and just extra money he used to buy your things. If it was a dollar more he would've had to put something back.
Then he was on his way to your house, which lucky for him was close to his house. Meaning it wouldn't be too far of a walk till he was there, he also wouldn't get lost on the way there. Your parents let him in, seeing the grocery bags in his hand they thought he more than likely knew what happened at school and was trying to make it up to you. They could see what was in the bags through the material of it. They let him upstairs in your room.
"Hey, I saw what happened at school today. Wanted to make it up to you." He says with stupid, awkward, dorky, adorable smile. Holding the bags higher as he explains himself.
You smile sweetly at him, he knows he didn't do anything. He thinks he's safe, for now.
You clear a spot off next to you so he has a place to sit down at. He sit's next to you, grabbing the stuff out of the bags. Laying the blanket overtop the both of you, grabbing the rest of the out of the bags and putting them in your lap. You lay your head on his shoulder as you sit there together. After sitting there, 30 seconds later, you interlock hands with him.
"Are you okay? What happened at school today?" He asks you, making sure his tone wasn't too harsh.
"I had a panic attack. No big deal, I think I was just overwhelmed with... life?" You explain, sounding almost confused yourself.
Instead of saying anything he looks at you. Except the way he looks at you makes you feel like he actually understands what you're saying. He says nothing at all, but you feel more understood than if he said anything.
More understood than anyone else has ever made you feel.

My babysitters a vampire
Benny Weir centric fic
(Featuring ‘Betty’ and Erica)
Description: Benny wasn’t sure what it was but being Betty made him feel different and he thinks he liked it.
Ships: slight one-sided Rory x Benny (Benory?)
It had been a week or so since Ethan and Benny had dressed up as Veronica and Betty. Ethan hated every moment of it. Benny will laugh along with his friends about how awful it was but he sorta enjoyed having long hair and painting his nails. Of course he only let himself enjoy these things when he was alone.
The group always hung out at Ethan’s that was just how it worked so when Erica appeared at Benny’s window in the middle of the night he let out a scream and fell backwards out of his chair. Due to the shock of having a vampire who usually won’t tolerate his existence appear at his window Benny maybe forgot about a few things. For example he forgot that on his desk beside all his potions and ingredients there was also makeup pallets, he forgot that he had some rather girly posters of boy bands and movies on his wall and the biggest give away being that he opened his window with sparkly red nails.
“Erica what are you doing, finally realised how irresistible I am?” He joked as the blonde girl climbed in the window. She let out a sigh as she pushed the boy out of her way. “Don’t flatter yourself, Betty. I came looking for a potion” She stood with her arms crossed but Benny was to caught up in what she had called him he stood with his mouth gaping for a second before rushing to explain himself. “No I wasn’t.. I don’t. Jane painted my nails! And the.. what is liking bands a crime?! I was just…” He trailed off as the girl stood looking bored. The silence was suffocating for about 2 seconds before she shrugged.
“I haven’t been able to hunt all week because I’ve been helping you losers fight monsters, I need energy I was hoping you had some sort of vampy blood energy potion?” She said picking up different bottles and shaking them, she also tested the red lipstick sitting on his desk however it made no difference since she didn’t have a reflection. He watched her walk around inspecting his room. “I uh could make you something yea?” He laughed nervously hoping that if he just agreed she’d leave. She nodded before taking a seat on his bed. “Well then go!” She demanded as she messed around with the trinkets on his bedside table. He nodded heading down to the basement using different herbs, powders and some of his own blood to work something up for her.
When he went back upstairs and was going through his wardrobe. “Erica!” He let out a shocked yelp as the girl held up a skirt. She turned eyeing up the potion in his hand, before he even realised she’d moved it was out of his hand and in her mouth. She licked her lips and smiled. She handed him back the empty bottle and turned to leave before stopping. “Reds not really your colour, go more pink” She stated lifting the red lipstick off the desk and pocketing it. Then she was gone.
The next day at school Benny was on edge, surely Erica was going to tell everyone she was going to tell Rory and he’d know that Benny was actually the girl he’d been talking to, she was going to tell Ethan and he’d think his best friend was a freak. So Benny waited, he waited all day for someone to say something for someone to call him out. But no one did. Rory spoke at lunch about Betty and how he wished he’d gotten a chance to make out with her before she left. Benny didn’t love the implications he made about wanting to bite her but he also called her pretty and angelic and it made Benny feel a little proud. Erica had glanced his way but she didn’t say anything.
Later when the group met up at Ethan’s no one seemed to notice that Benny was wearing a subtle pink lip gloss or that he had mascara on. No one noticed his dull nude nails that didn’t make him feel as pretty as pink but were less noticeable. They sat and watched tv until Rory fell asleep and Sarah followed Ethan into the kitchen to get food. “Your right hand is a mess” Erica stated not looking away from the tv, Benny looked down and his nails were a bit messier on the right because he had to do them with his left hand. “You won’t tell anyone will you?” He asked at which she finally turned to him shooting him a confused look “what that your bad at painting nails?” She smirked as Benny shook his head. “Erica I’m serious” he pleaded and maybe just maybe Erica felt something in her undead heart shift as she let out a sigh. “No I won’t tell anyone, but if you don’t want people to know you should try avoiding glitter” She stated blandly as he remembered the glittery pink lipgloss he was wearing. He nodded rubbing his mouth with his sleeve. The two once again sat in silence with only Rory’s snoring adding any noise.
“So are you a girl?” Erica asked and got the first time there was no hint of sarcasm or judgement in her voice. “I don’t… think so, I just… Betty was pretty and I liked… I don’t know” He stammered over his words not really sure how to explain that for once in his life he felt comfortable with the way he looked. Erica nodded “I’m hot, now that I’m an undead bloodsucker I’ll be hot forever. I hated old Erica I hated waking up in the morning and seeing her in the mirror” there was something unusually sincere about everything she was saying. “If you want, I am the best dressed and hottest of all your frien… people you know. So, I could help you with hair and makeup and stuff. I never really get to mess around with mine since I can’t see my reflection” She had gone back to watching tv but Benny couldn’t focus on tv right now. “Yeah that would be… yeah” He smiled and turned to watch tv as Ethan and Sarah came back.
Erica and Benny weren’t friends. But after that night it wasn’t uncommon for the two to sit in Benny’s bedroom watching dusk, listening to boy bands and messing around with their makeup. Benny sat incredibly still as Erica fixed his makeup. She had forced him to stay away from the mirror whilst she picked out his clothes and styled his wig. She finished applying the new pink lipstick she had helped him pick out before standing back to admire her work. “There, what do you think, Betty?” She asked and Benny’s heart skipped at hearing the name. He couldn’t stop the toothy grin from spreading across his face as he looked in the mirror. “I look like… wow” was all he could breathe out as the words ‘I look like me’ crossed his mind.

Killer Love (Benny Weir X Stern!Reader)
Masterlist
Request Something!
Summary: Life as the vice principal’s daughter isn’t easy, especially when he orders you to get close to a student and his friends to then kill them. But after getting to know Benny, you’re conflicted with feelings of love and orders to kill. Unfortunately, your father doesn’t appreciate you not fulfilling his request and switching sides.
A/N: ive been putting off writing this one for as lon as i could bc it felt so convoluted lmao i don’t remember all the details of the last episode so this is just kinda loosely based on the ending of the show. also reader has vampire sense ig ??
***
“Y/n. You’re needed in Mr. Stern’s office.” Your teacher announced as she set her phone down. Sighing, you packed your stuff up and headed to the office. You don’t remember misbehaving in any way; you were honestly a stellar student.
Yet, you were still dreading every step you took until you were standing in front of Vice Principal Stern’s door. You knocked on it, listening for an answer.
“Come in.” A voice from inside beckoned, and you opened the door. “Ah, Y/n, sit.” You shut the door behind you and sat in one of the chairs in the office, Stern doing the same in his own chair. “You’re probably wondering why I called you down here.”
You stayed silent, giving a short nod. The quicker this conversation was over with, the quicker you could go back to class.
“I’m assuming you know Benny Weir? Boy in your grade, always wearing stripes and a satchel, considered a bit of a nerd.” You nodded again. It was hard to miss Benny. You shared a class together, and he seemed pretty outgoing, a stark contrast to his best friend Ethan Morgan. “Well, it seems that Mr. Weir has some abilities that can be seen as a threat to some. And by ‘some’, I mean me.”
“What do you want me to do about it?”
“Watch the tone,” Stern ordered sharply. “I need you to become friends with the little dweeb, all of them for that matter, and make them less of a problem.”
“How do I do that?” You asked, but you knew how. And he knew that you knew, so he didn’t answer. He just tilted his head to the side and gave you an unimpressed look, making you smile slightly. “Is that all?”
“Yup.” You stood and went to the door.
“Bye, Dad.” You said before opening the door.
“Nix on the ‘dad’ business, Y/n.” Stern reprimanded. Luckily, no one was around to hear this conversation. “At school, I’m Vice Principal Stern, and you’re Y/n L/n. No relation.”
“Got it.”
***
Getting to Benny was easy. He was in your last class of the day, and he didn’t have any of his friends with him. Your teacher didn’t feel the need to assign seats, so you quickly slipped into the one next to him before someone else could take it.
“Hey there.” You smiled, resting your head in your hand as you looked up at the boy. He looked a bit startled by your presence, but seemed to welcome it. “Benny, right?”
“Yeah…” He said, a bit confused as to why you were talking to him.
“I’m Y/n.” You put out a hand for him to shake, which he did. “You don’t mind me sitting here, right?”
“No, um… No, I don’t mind.” He said softly, mirroring you by leaning his head on his hand.
“Great. I just wanted a…” You looked him up and down, smile turning shy. Maybe if you ever left Whitechapel, you could become an actress. “Change of scenery.”
Benny laughed with a bit of an airheaded grin, and you knew that he was slowly falling into the little trap you were setting.
***
For the next three weeks, you sat next to Benny in class. Being in the very back, you would have quiet but enthusiastic conversations. You felt a bit bad for your reasons behind talking to him in the first place; he seemed like a very genuine and funny guy. But whenever your dad asked about the progress you were making with Benny, you didn’t dare to tell him about you starting to actually like being around him.
“So, I was wondering…” Benny trailed off, playing around with his pen instead of using it to write notes. Luckily, you were good at copying the teacher’s writing while keeping up with Benny. You nodded, showing him you were paying attention and urging him to continue. “Do you wanna maybe hang out sometime? Like, outside of school.”
This was what you were waiting for. Talking in class could only get you so far.
“Yeah! What did you have in mind?” Benny perked up at your answer, straightening up in his seat.
“Well, me and my friends are having a little hang-out thing tomorrow.” This was even better. Your father wanted you to infiltrate Benny’s friend group, not just get close to Benny. “I think you’d like my friends; they’re pretty cool.”
“I’d like that.” You smiled, tilting your head to the side. “Maybe we should exchange numbers? For details and stuff.”
Benny took out his phone at almost lightning speed, giving it to you to put in your number. Deciding to test the waters, you put a heart next to your name when making your contact. You sent a message to yourself before handing the phone back to Benny. When you responded from your own phone, Benny looked down at the notification and grinned at your name.
Perfect.
“I’ll text you the details.” He said as the school bell rang.
***
Getting permission from your father to go to Ethan’s house was easy. It was sad to say, but he didn’t exactly care about your whereabouts or well-being unless you were benefiting him. But you tried not to think about that as you got ready.
You caught yourself fixating on your appearance, which was a bit strange. For some reason, you wanted to look good when you showed up. You wanted to be noticed.
The walk to Ethan’s house was quick, thankfully. But as soon as you got to the door, you were overcome with nervousness. You don’t know why. But when the door opened, and you saw the person behind it, you had a small realization as to why.
“Hey, Y/n!” Benny greeted you enthusiastically, stepping aside to let you in the house. “You look great.” A sense of pride washed over you at the fact that he noticed you and the effort in your appearance.
You were the last to arrive; the little party seemed to have already started. Two boys were sitting in the living room playing a video game while two girls were talking in the kitchen, which was filled with different junk foods. Benny took you to the kitchen first.
“Guys, this is Y/n, the girl I was telling you about.” Your heart quickened at that. It made sense that he told his friends about you, but it still made you feel giddy. “Y/n, this is Erica and Sarah.”
“Hey!” Sarah held out her hand for you to shake, giving you a warm smile. “Benny’s told us a lot about you.” You giggled before stiffening slightly when you shook Sarah’s hand. You hoped she didn’t notice.
“All good things, I hope.” You glanced at Erica, who gave you the same weird feeling that Sarah had given you.
Either your father didn’t know, or he didn’t care to tell you that Benny’s friends that he wanted you to ‘take care of’ were vampires.
You and Benny grabbed some food from the kitchen island before he guided you over to the living room. He sat you in one of the chairs and, instead of moving to any of the other available seats, sat on the armrest of your chair. He waited until the game on the TV was paused to speak.
“Y/n, this is Ethan and Rory.” Ethan waved before leaving to get some food. Rory stood up and walked over to you.
“Hey, hottie.” He smiled at you. You laughed your way through the weird feeling you got, realizing that Rory was also a vampire. Benny jokingly pushed Rory away from you, but you missed the slight glare he gave Rory. The blonde boy raised his hands in defense, and Benny subtly shifted closer to you.
The night went by in a flash. Despite everything your father had told you about vampires and how they were evil creatures that needed to be destroyed, you had a really fun time. You warmed up to the group, and you hoped you were right to assume that they took a liking to you as well. Having Benny practically glued to your side was also a plus.
If only you had a different family. One that wasn’t hellbent on gaining power and destroying an entire species. Maybe then you wouldn’t have this terrible feeling brewing inside you when being around Benny and his friends.
“It’s getting late, I think I should go.” You sighed as you looked at the time, not really wanting to leave. “I had a really great time. Thanks for having me.”
Everyone bid you goodbye, also disappointed that you had to go. Benny walked you to the door, stopping you before you opened it.
“Can I, uh…” He seemed nervous. “Can I walk you home? Since it’s so late and all.”
You didn’t want him to. You wanted to say no. He shouldn’t have to go out of his way for you; it made you feel guilty. Especially since liking him was supposed to be an act.
But you really wanted to say yes.
Somewhat hesitantly, you nodded, and Benny raced to get his jacket. He told his friends he would be back soon, and you were soon out the door.
It felt like something shifted as Benny walked you home. You were starting to realize why. Maybe you liking Benny wasn’t fake or pretend, and maybe your liking wasn’t in an entirely platonic way. This never happened to you before; you didn’t know what to do.
“I think I’m falling for you.” That was probably not the right thing to do, but it just spilled out. Benny was taken aback, looking down at you surprised.
“Really?”
“Yeah…” You quickly wished that you hadn’t said anything. But then Benny grabbed your hand, giving it a squeeze.
Soon enough, maybe too soon for your liking, you reached your house. You sighed, not wanting to go inside.
“Thanks for walking me home.” You said, hand slipping out of Benny’s grip.
“No problem.” Benny watched you reach out for the doorknob, and he knew that if he didn’t do the thing he wanted to do now, he’d never get the courage to do it. “Hey, Y/n?”
You hummed, turning around only for Benny to gently pull you close to him and kiss you. You don’t know what startled you more, the affection he gave you or the electricity that shot up your spine from his touch.
Benny shouldn’t have kissed you. It would just make everything worse, harder.
But it felt so good.
***
A week passed, and you had gotten closer to Benny than you had ever imagined you would have. He made you feel wanted and warm and loved. It made you a bit sad, because this wasn’t supposed to happen. You weren’t supposed to like Benny, especially not like this. But you couldn’t help it.
Your father was growing impatient. He soon realized that you weren’t going to take care of your new friends in the way that he wanted. And it turns out that Ethan and Benny had found his precious Lucifractor, an artifact that could drain dark energy and destroy vampires. So he decided to speed up his plan to take out the vampires in Whitechapel.
You couldn’t just stand by and let it happen. When your father left the house, you raced to Ethan’s, telling your friends to meet you there because it was an emergency. You wished you were being overdramatic when you told them it was a matter of life or death.
“Y/n, what’s going on? What’s wrong?” Benny asked, concerned, as you barged into the house. It seemed that everyone except Ethan was in his house.
“I have to tell you guys something.” You said, trying to catch your breath. “And I really hope you guys don’t get mad, but to be honest, it’d be weird if you didn’t get mad, but-”
“Stern’s evil!” Ethan barged into the room, looking frantic. “He’s an evil wizard that’s gonna try to wipe out all the vampires in Whitechapel. We gotta stop him!” Ethan looked at you, suddenly realizing that you probably weren’t clued in on the supernatural happenings in town. He started speaking in a gentle tone. “Y/n, this is gonna sound crazy, but it’s true. Vampires are real.”
“I know.” You murmured.
“Wizards are real.”
“I know.”
“And Vice Principal Stern is an evil-”
“I know!” You shouted, sick of Ethan treating you like you didn’t know any of this stuff. But to be fair, you shouldn’t have known any of it. “I know all of that.”
“How do you know?” Benny asked. Everyone looked at you curiously, and you suddenly wished you hadn’t said anything.
“...Vice Principal Stern is my dad.” You whispered, but they heard you loud and clear. The room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop on the carpet. Your breath became shaky, and your eyes started tearing up, but you refused to break your composure. “He made me get close to you, to stop you from getting in his way. But I couldn’t go through with it.” You looked at Benny, and everyone realized why you couldn’t follow your father’s orders. “And I was gonna tell you all, but Ethan pretty much beat me to it. But you have to hurry. He’s on his way to take out the Vampire Counsel right now. After that, it’s the rest of the vampires in Whitechapel.”
Hearing that information, everyone started to scramble to leave. You could tell that they were feeling conflicted with you. You were on their side, but you didn’t start out that way. Benny was the last to leave the house, and he gave you a look that held so many conflicted emotions. But then he closed the door behind you.
Now alone, you didn’t feel the need to stop your tears from falling. You felt horrible, like a monster. You should’ve told them sooner; at least then they’d have more time to prepare.
You couldn’t let them fight alone. You didn’t know if they hated you now, but you owed it to them to at least try to help.
***
It was like a battlefield when you finally arrived. Your friends ran around the large room, avoiding the blasts your father threw at them using the Lucifractor. They all hid behind objects and furniture.
Except for Benny, who was crouched in plain sight, looking for a spell in his spellbook. And your father noticed him, a sick grin on his face as he focused on Benny.
One second, Benny was looking through his book. The next, you tackled him to the ground, the energy blast just barely missing you.
“What are you doing here?” Benny hissed, and you couldn’t tell if it was in anger or something else.
“I couldn’t just let you guys fight him alone.” You got off of Benny, slowly crawling away.
“Wait, Y/n, where are you going?” Benny reached out for you, but you had already run off.
Somehow, your father hadn’t noticed your movements, which made it easier for you to sneak up behind him. You grabbed a candlestick from the ground and struck him in the head. He yelped in pain, and you moved to stand in front of him, stepping back as you held eye contact.
“Y/n?” Your father looked confused, then angry. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?”
You caught a glimpse of Ethan sneaking up on your father. You decided to try to keep him distracted, helping Ethan as much as you could.
“You don’t have to do this, Dad.” You said, although you knew it was pointless.
“So you’re on their side?” He hissed, and you nodded. “You’re not my daughter… You’re a traitor!” He sent a blast from the Lucifractor at you, and you were tackled out of the way. “You little-” Ethan grabbed your father’s shoulder, cutting him off. But you became more focused on Benny, who was lying on top of you, breathing heavily.
“You know, I really liked you.” He said, and you could sense how hurt he was.
“Benny, my feelings for you were real.” You said softly. “How I feel about you is real; I could never fake that, I swear.”
The staring contest between you was silent but emotional. Both of you wanted to break down, rambling apologies and acceptance of them, but this wasn’t the time. So you hoped that your silent conversation would suffice until you could get out of here.
“We gotta go!” Ethan yelled, catching everyone’s attention. Benny stood up, pulling you up with him, and you all started running.
“Ethan, what’s happening?” You asked, glancing behind you to see your father focusing on the Lucifractor.
“He’s gonna try to absorb the Lucifractor’s power.”
“He’ll die! And we’ll die with him.” You and your friends were barely out the door of the council room, but still deep inside the building. “We’re not gonna make it.”
Everyone stopped running and looked at each other. This couldn’t have been the end. That wouldn’t be fair.
The blast from your father trying to absorb the Lucifractor’s powers was coming fast. You all huddled together, internally preparing for your demise. You squeezed your eyes shut and latched onto Benny, waiting to be taken out.
But it didn’t happen.
Just before the blast could touch you, Benny summoned a forcefield around you and the group. It took all of his strength, but Benny kept the protective barrier up until he was absolutely sure that the danger had passed.
When he extinguished the forcefield, everyone let out a breath they didn’t know they were holding. For the second time that day, you started to tear up. Benny, hearing your quiet sobs, wrapped you up in his arms and let you cry into his shoulder. You had never been overcome by so many emotions before; you didn’t know how to handle it. But Benny kept you close to him, whispering little ‘you’re okay’s and ‘I got you’s while stroking your hair. You don’t know what you did to deserve someone like Benny, but whatever it was, you’d do it a hundred times to keep him.

Chapter 2: DANCES WITH WOLVES! My Babysitter’s A Vampire (MBAV)! Fanfic!
Tumblr media
Courtney told Grandma Weir all about how today was her birthday and she just turned 16 years old, much like she had expected from what the book had said. Courtney told her about what she was told from her mother about how tonight was to be her first transformation and about how the last memory she had was that of being put in the cage right before the full moon was supposed to hit.
It wasn’t a lot of information that she could give them, but it definitely gave enough of an idea of what could’ve happened to her. The only part grandma didn’t understand was that of her hair color change. Courtney was telling her that before she woke up her hair had been dark like the color of Ethan or Benny’s but now looking at her it’s a bright blue color. Almost looks like it grew straight out of her head that way. But just based on the story it sounds like Courtney transitioned and being that for the first time she wasn’t so easily able to control herself as the wolf form probably completely took over and did some stuff until she eventually showed up here…They just needed to be able to figure out where she’d been and what she’d done to have arrived here, where was she from. But when asked, it seems Courtney didn’t even know that information either. Since all she knew of her life was living in that cave with her pack.
“Okay, well if that is all the information we can gather for right now, you stay here for the night, tomorrow I will have to leave a bit early to take a little bit of a trip to try to get some new herbs.” Grandma spoke, getting off the bed and starting to pack up some supplies in her case.
“Ethan,” she asked, turning her attention to the group of teens.
“You said you saw her over a body?” Ethan nods.
“Okay, there’s a potion I can make to help her get her memories back, and then we can figure out what happened.”
“Ms. Weir, not to question your judgment or anything, but are you sure you can just trust letting her stay here? Sounds like she could’ve killed someone...”
Upon hearing this coming from Sarah, Courtney looked down worryingly and also feeling pretty guilty, playing with the dead skin on her fingers and nail bed and wondering, praying to God that it wasn’t true. That wasn’t her...she wouldn’t hurt anyone she swears...but can she really if something happened that she couldn’t control? The tears threatened to fall again and then when she looked up they were all just looking at her again.
“I appreciate your concern Sarah, but I have a good feeling about her, I will take my chances, but if it makes you all feel better...” And then Grandma approaches Courtney. Reaching to grab another small vial next to the bedside, she sprinkles a little of the blue colored potion dust over the young girl's head. “There, now she is unable to change again until the next full moon. Happy?” She asked the group, to which they all nodded, and Rory was still with everything just looking at her with the biggest lovey dovey eyes ever like he just felt something radiating off her energy, he didn’t care if their kinds normally hated each other.
“Now Benny, get the poor girl something else comfortable to wear.” Ms. Weir ordered her grandson.
And yeah, Courtney didn’t realize just how dirty her clothes were until she was looking in the mirror and down at her arms, apparently her whole body.
“Come with me dear, I will show you where you can get cleaned up.”
“I mean can’t I just lick myself clean?” Yeah, really shows she was raised by a group of dogs.
“Oh no, your majesty, you are going to surely need a shower, I’ll show you.” Rory excitedly volunteered only for Ethan to grab him by the back of his shirt and pull him back to sitting on his butt,
“Stay.” Ethan pointed down at the disappointed and pouting blonde.
***
Ethan, Rory, and Sarah had each gone home now whilst Benny’s grandmother led her to the bathroom and introduced her to the shower and all the hygienic supplies, they had for her to use to get herself cleaned up. Grandma showed Courtney what each item was and how she was to use it. Courtney observed with cautious interest. She demonstrated how to turn on and adjust the shower temperature, allowing Courtney to test the water before she stepped out so that the young girl could get undressed.
She then stepped under the water and almost howled at just how nice it felt on her skin and she watched as the dirt, mud, and what she hoped wasn’t actually blood. It all just fell away in the water to the drain. She let out a growl of uncertainty, but she did have to admit that this was heaven compared to how the pack communally bathed each other. The unfamiliarity still made her feel tense.
She was also definitely still scared and found herself crying when she was left alone, crying over how she didn’t know what she’d done and that was a terrifying thought in itself but just also being so lost and missing her family. But she knew she had to be strong as well in case anything turned negatively in her favor.
She tried and wanted to be appreciative of the hospitality she was being treated with but also, they didn’t know what they’d find when the potion would be used on her. Trying to shake it off she got cleaned up and struggled a little but eventually got the shower off. Stepping out she saw exposed patches of her reflection looking back at her from the wall, Curiosity getting the better and just wanting to see more Courtney starts wiping off the mirror as she found that to be one positivity to all this. Nobody knew what it meant yet and that could be scary but just looks wise she didn’t hate the blue, it just took her off guard at first, but just looking at it wise, it looked good on her and especially with her new purple eyes.
Courtney plotted the water with the towel from off her body, she fisted the material to wrap it snugly around her frame while her other hand played with and inspected her new color. She’d only ever really seen her reflection before in puddles during rainy days or after storms where rainwater would get on the cave floor. And for clothes there were only a few options she’d ever had, scavenged for her by packmates while they got to go out.
Speaking about this is when Benny lightly knocked on the bathroom door. After hearing the small tapping sound Courtney slightly struggled to open the door. Trying her best to keep most of her body hidden from his sight in the case her towel could slip and trying not to really look at his face either after all their interactions so far have not been the most positive. And really, he wasn’t trying to really look at her either, as much of a flirt that Benny could be he didn’t want to see her body without her real consent, so he mostly just kept turning away as he held out his arm with a couple clean clothing items sitting on it for her to take.
So, it was a bit of an awkward but thankfully quick exchange as she opened the door, quickly snatched the items from him, and then closed it back up so that she could drop the towel and get dressed.
There were 3 items that Benny had chosen. Of course, one of his striped polos, really the only type of shirt he ever even seemed to own, and then a pair of baggy boy shorts style underwear that seemed just a little bit concerning to have her share, and then finally a baggy pair of boy’s gym shorts.
Benny stood still on the other side of the door in case she were to possibly need anything else and so he heard a little snort come from the other side.
“Oh yeah, I swear the underwear are new. I didn’t know what else would be any more comfortable.” He couldn’t see but on the other side Courtney took a sigh at this, His reassurance made her snort softly, though her guarded demeanor remained intact. she shrugged knowing there isn’t really anything else for her to possibly lose and with a hesitant chuckle to herself she pulled the polo over her head.
“Are you okay?” He stood and asked not having heard anything else come from her yet.
“Yeah, I’m coming out.” She’d softly replied.
Courtney went to open the door with Benny patiently waiting on the other side. Benny didn’t exactly know what to think of her thus far; on one hand Benny has this big thing for Della, going as far as to bring her dog back from the dead, and yes. he realized he might still have to deal with some consequences there later but ignored that for the moment. Yeah, he still had this thing for Della still and yes, he also kinda did have some questions and concerns with this girl, kind of in the same vein as his friends. But he also had to admit that just like Rory he also found her attractive, but in a different way. For Benny he saw her looks, yes. But also just he felt something with the energy she gave off and how she interacted with his grandma, thought it might be a mistake on his part, but he just couldn’t imagine that she could actually be really dangerous.
At least not intentionally and it almost gave him a pull to want to help her even though the two yet haven’t even really looked each other fully in the eyes yet. Speaking of which..
The door opened slowly as she stumbled a little bit, Courtney first looking down really focusing on the knob. And Benny couldn’t help but gulp at taking in the sight below him and admitting to himself about just how it felt for him seeing a girl in an outfit completely made of his clothes. Benny tried to remind himself to snap out of it and actually say words and not just awkwardly stare at her though he was kinda failing at a loss for something to say. Was he making her uncomfortable?
Stepping out, she found herself in close proximity to Benny, her instincts causing her to slightly bare her teeth in a snarl, a reflexive sign of warning. Benny's gaze and words both showed concern, but her mind was still grappling with the overwhelming changes she was facing.
Pinching himself he stumbled but managed to get the words out. “You look great, do you feel okay?”
But it turns out Courtney was pretty equally at a loss as she didn’t answer right away and just seemed in her own little trance. Though Benny didn’t take it as having anything to do with himself and figuring it was probably her having been so overwhelmed with everything going on.
But on Courtney’s end things were definitely a little bit different than that.
For the entire duration of time that Courtney was even in the bathroom all that plagued her mind was just a feeling of dread for her whole situation. She felt thankful for the people around her being seemingly nice and helpful but that she knows she cannot stay. This is not where she belongs. She is a werewolf and a werewolf belongs with their pack and she’s got a destiny to uphold, it’s something that’s been buried into her mind for her entire life practically. Does she want it, maybe not but that’s not how it works. She has to go back. Besides, even if these people have been nice to her, well so far technically it was really only the grandma so far as the rest of the group seemed to have hated her from the start just because they are a group of Vampires. And to be fair with good reason as she knows she is meant to hate them too. So, all she could think about is how mixed up and complicated her feelings are...she’s out of the cave, that feeling alone is very overwhelming.
But trying to ignore that and take everything one small step at a time, she moves to go to the door slowly and carefully comes to step out and close it behind her slowly and hopefully, quietly. Once she hears it click to signify that it shut successfully, she turns back around slowly to see that she and the grandson of the group, she thinks she’d heard her calling him “Benny”? are pretty close, almost too close, face to face.
First, she’s just feeling the nerves considering he’s a stranger to her, but then she looks up slightly and they are looking face to face for the very first time.
“Do you feel okay?”  Benny asked, his cautious approach evident.
Courtney hears it and she’s looking up at him, Benny sees she’s looking him straight in the eyes but it’s almost as if she’s not there. To him she looks kinda stunned and out of it and so he starts to worry a little bit. What does he do? It doesn’t help either of their feelings that the two of them are physically so close to each other without having meant to be, but then before too long she seems to be fine. Courtney shakes her head a little, completely snapping out of whatever held her attention for the moment there and is back to looking and seeing Benny, albeit looking just a little concerned.
“Oh yeah, Yeah, I’m fine.” She holds her hand to her temple and just shakes her head around a little bit. She starts moving to put a little distance between themselves as she goes back to the makeshift bed in the living room area. Sitting down on it and fiddling with the blanket and pillow.
“Are they comfortable enough?” Benny asks although she isn’t really looking at him. Did he do something wrong.
“What?”
“The clothes.” She looks up at him but not in the eyes.
“Oh yeah, yeah they work alright.”
“Okay.”
Benny kind of feels the awkwardness of the air of the situation and turns around to go back to his bedroom for the night and leave her out here. But then he remembers and stops.
“Oh, do you need anything else? Have you eaten in a while?”
“Oh, I don’t really remember that either I guess, uhm… I guess I can get myself some water if I need it later, right?”
“Do you know how?” Benny asks nervous but honestly.
“If it’s like the shower I think I can get it.” She responds.
“Here.” Benny goes over to the sink and grabs a glass from the cabinet above, filling it with some ice water, giving it to her and then without saying anything he seems to remember something that should be in the fridge, he goes to check and sees a piece of steak still remains, he pulls it out. Heats it up after switching the plate and then grabbing some silverware he brings it out and hands the plate to Courtney and extends the fork out with his hand.
Courtney kinda takes him off guard though when she just immediately without even seeming to have thought. She grabs the piece of meat off the dish and just scarfs the food down. Making some pretty gnarly dog type eating sounds. Benny doesn’t know whether to be shocked or completely disgusted when he takes the plate back and throws all the dishware back into the sink.
“Okay, you should be good, you know where the bathroom is so, I guess I’m going to go to bed so goodnight,”
Benny starts to walk away again when he sees the light switch and hits it.
“Wait Benny, can you leave it on?”
To which he keeps the lights off but turns the dial back a little bit so it’s not nearly as dark as it was, compromise.
“Is this okay?”
“Yeah, thanks. Goodnight.”
And so Courtney just lay alone in the mostly dark room, under the covers but too uncomfortable to sleep for a while, just staring at the ceiling as her mind went a mile a minute. She’d heard of “Imprinting” before, they all had really but she’d never seen it herself and she didn’t think really anyone else of their group had either with the way they’d talked about it. It was always talked about to be this really rare phenomenon but it happened with Shape-Shifters. Though as rare as it was supposed to be she’d heard it talked about in such detail that she couldn’t think of this possibly being anything else but it. And also, just the fact that Benny was somebody she didn’t even know and somehow had this huge feeling come over her with, the first time that they’d ever truly looked up each other. So, she really couldn’t find any other explanation to the point that it was truly getting under her skin and stopping her as she tried so desperately to fall asleep as comfortable as the bed was.
It got to the point that she just got out of the bed out of frustration, just pacing back and forth, talking to herself trying to stay light in her volume as she tried to think this through and find an answer and also thinking about what exactly had happened and what she’d seen.
OMG! And was Benny a vampire?
No, he didn’t seem to have the teeth for that, or could they hide them?
What had happened she went over again.
Benny and herself looked each other in the eyes for the very first time and a sudden excess feeling of heat entered into her body, all the way from her head to her feeling it all in her fingertips and even to her feet a little bit, and then she kinda just completely zoned out and started seeing nothing but these images of herself and him intertwined…
She tried to remind herself that these images could definitely be fantasy, that definitely has happened. The way the feeling always sounds in the stories is how it’s supposed to be completely one sided.
Imprinting normally is supposed to be this gravitational pull that the imprinter feels for the imprinted. A need to do anything to please and protect a “soulmate.” But it’s always supposed to happen way later than the first transition?...like it could happen now, but it normally doesn’t this early ... Courtney never felt this need for a partner before but now is she being told Benny is meant to be her “Soulmate?” And she knew that Soulmate could mean a lot of things, but it was always introduced to her as how it was supposed to be in a romantic sense…
And then the thought came to her.
“If Benny’s my soulmate, then I can’t go home…”
If she were to leave her soulmate it would cause her to go crazy until she was to mentally off herself...Courtney was going to have to stay in White Chapel…
Courtney couldn’t take this mental battle anymore, the other two had to be fully asleep by now, she couldn’t hear anything coming out of Benny’s bedroom and she needed answers, and there were tons of witchy type sorcery supplies here...there’s got to be a book or something that could help her. She assumed, telling herself that it would be okay and so Courtney went to the little knob on the wall that Benny had used earlier and she’d turned it up, in the same way she’d seen him use it, just a little bit more until she could see much better and then she started looking on the table.
And she didn’t have to look too long, thankfully for her, the book that Grandma Weir was looking at earlier was still out on the counter and pretty much open to a spread of pages about were-creatures, wolves pretty specifically being they are normally the most common type.
On the first page wasn’t the information she’d been looking for, she had to flip through a few pages about their claws, hair, there was some information on her transition that would be much more helpful once she got her memories fully back. Now though she was more scared than ever, what if she did do something truly horrible and these people rejected her and would separate her from her soulmate. That just couldn’t happen.
But finally, after a few flips through she found something that looked like it might be able to help her….
“Find what we’re looking for?”
The voice totally caught her off guard and made her jump pretty high with a snarl as she turned around to see it was only Benny’s grandma. How long had she been awake with this? it only felt like 20 minutes maybe.
“I’m sorry, I know I should be asleep, or should’ve at least asked but...” Courtney didn’t really know how to finish the sentence as she held the book in her arms feeling pretty guilty doing so.
“Nonsense.” Grandma dismissed, waving it off. “You’re curious about your heritage, it's perfectly normal to want to find out more information. Now where are we?”
She grabbed her glasses from the table, putting them on her face, and took the book from the blue haired girl.
“Imprinting, what’s this?”
The earth priestess went ahead and read the little passage of what little the author of the book knew of the rare phenomenon. While Courtney stood off to the side quietly not really knowing what to say.
“Imprinting, now why would you care about this? It says here that it happens so rarely unless…”
Grandma Weir kinda picked up very quickly what was happening here as she peeked up to look at Courtney as they spoke and noticed the way the girl was sat back down and picking at her nails followed by the blush on her cheeks.
“You imprinted on someone?”
Courtney shrugged, not knowing really how else to respond.
Grandma read over the page one more time to make sure the information really sticks and then she closed the book and just rested it on her lap as she sat with the girl and looked over her.
“Well seems between this and your hair you are one special shape-shifter, you’ll have to tell me about him. Unless well, you didn’t imprint on Rory, did you?”
“Rory?” Courtney didn’t yet recognize the name.
“You know the little blonde one, got in your face, tried to kiss you, made you scream. He’s a sweet buy but can really be a lot, and he’s a vampire you know...” Grandma started to ramble, and Courtney had to stop her and shake her head.
“Wow, yeah I'm sure he’s great but no, not him.”
“Oh well that’s too bad, he seemed pretty smitten with you, you’ll have to let him down pretty easily..” Courtney just sat their kind of awkwardly nodding, cringing at the idea of having to tell the kind, older woman that she’d imprinted on her grandson…
“So who is he?” She just looked at her fingers again and did not say anything.
“Or a she? Perhaps?”
Courtney shook her head but still didn’t look up or say anything.
“Well, you’re going to have to tell me about him if you want me to help you.” Courtney just looked up at her awkwardly, dang Grandma was definitely good at this.
And with the look she was receiving, Ms. Weir put two and two together pretty easily.
“Oh, I see, okay well then. Seems, that means you won’t be going anywhere for a while then?”
As much as she’d really wanted to go back for her family and her people, this didn’t really work that way and her plans were now going to have to shift pretty drastically and pretty quickly. She would find them, but she'd have to explain the situation to them and then maybe someone else might have to take her spot as leader, which she was kind of conflicted about currently. Her parents would be so disappointed but also they’d have to understand it’s the way of the imprint!
Courtney nodded in response to Ms. Weir’s question.
“Okay then, I will get you those herbs so we can see what’s happened to you and where you’ve come from, and you will stay here until we find your people?”
“Yes, thank you!”
“Okay, tonight we will make some better sleeping arrangements here.” She started digging into her pocket and pulled out a small wad that she handed to the young girl.
“If you're going to stay here you’re going to need some of your own stuff. While I’m gone I’ll leave a note for Benny to take you to town and you can get some of your own clothes, don’t need you walking around looking like whatever this is.” Grandma said and laughed at how Benny’s clothes looked and fit on her body.
“Thank you so much!”
“And you are welcome, Call me Grandma, I figure someday you will anyways so might as well start now. And then starting tomorrow I will help you figure out how to control your powers. Now I have to get going or I’ll be late, get some sleep deary!”
