Benedict Cumberbatch's life as we know it is a lie.

He's actually a pureblood wizard who went to Hogwarts, was sorted into Slytherin house, but as soon as he heard that Voldemort was resurrected, he decided to try to coexist with muggles. Benedict's name and career are all a front that he's accepted as his life now since he doesn't feel like trying to rejoin the wizarding world. He deemed rejoining said world as "an unnecessary hassle" since he found so much success as a muggle actor.

I guess that explains why his eyes are so fantastically magical. 😳

Maybe he drugged all of his fans with Amortentia.

…It would explain a lot.
