Benimaru: You don't know me dear, the one who should stay away from there is you.

Me: Are you sure? I even saw a child participate! Look at Chris who held on for five rounds in the first tournament!

Benimaru: I wasn't talking in that sense, I wouldn't want to see you marked by them, not my fairy hands.

Last Line of a WIP Game!

This is from a prompt for KOFtober! I’m gonna be super duper late, and will probably be posting all of my submissions for KOFtober in November so... RIP. But in my defense, I only found out about KOFtober this week, so I’m hoping to catch up asap! At least it was still October when I started 😅

At any rate, this is for “Fire and Ice”! I know this isn’t one line, but I figured since each line is really short, I’d offer a few lines instead, so here’s the last line + a little bit of context:

“I’ll try.” Kyo smiles. “Good luck with the new kid.”

Benimaru slips his hair up and out of his way, lightning dancing across his fingers. “How rude. I don’t need luck.”

“Right. Well, have fun, then.”

“I’d say ‘you too,’ but…”

Kyo catches Benimaru’s tone immediately.

“Don’t—”

Benimaru waggles his eyebrows with a teasing grin. “I bet you and Iori already did.”

“I will throw this ice pack at you.”

“I bet if you ask him nicely, you can go again after me and Meitenkun are gone!”

“Benimaru, I swear—”

The featureless male replied to the other fighter. When it came to martial arts, the grey entity knew his stuff.

“ Although, thighs can be used in a form of grappling and shoot boxing with combination of Muay Thai is always good to learn… ”

“Little Dragon ...the band?” For someone who fought other people for a living, the actual study of martial arts was not his forte. He just knew enough to beat his opponents. And since everyone seemed to have a unique take on their style anyway, he’d never had the desire to delve into deeper understanding outside his own practice.

“I don’t know either of those guys you mentioned, but I don’t remember them beating me at a tournament.”

Plot Hooks II Accepting

Beni:

Benimaru Nikaido steps out from his apartment onto the street, completely unrecognized. Someone asks him in a teasing manner where ComicCon is. When pressed, any random person on the street will say that they have never even heard of the King of Fighters Tournament. And when Benimaru searches the term on google, all that comes up is some video game-- but it is a video game which essentially chronicles his and his fellow fighters' lives. Except-- why is Benimaru's character unable to be selected on the home screen? Just how displaced is he? Will he be able to return to his world? And how real is his world, after all? How real is he?

Greed:

After the events of The Promised Day, Greed had thought himself gone for good. But suddenly, he is back in The Devil's Nest, surrounded by the people he'd come to consider his family. The world is at peace, and nothing seems to be amiss, yet. His family is happy to see him, and is glad that he is still around, that he survived. That he even got his old body back!

But is everything truly what it seems? Why doesn't the Fullmetal Alchemist have his abilities anymore? The kid who used to be a suit of armor seems willing to help, but what help does Greed need to seek out? Is this his reality now? Is it sustainable? And did that shadow just move...?

Hi, my name is Eric! I'm new here so I have no idea about certain tumblr stuff. I'm just a big fan of KOF and I wanted to do some roleplays. :)

Contrary to demeanour and appearance both, K’ enjoyed the beach. Something about it - the atmosphere, or the salt water scent, perhaps - put him at ease; a rarity, given how high-strung he tended to be at any given time. However, opportunities to go were sparse. There was always something happening that prevented him from relaxing and soaking up some sun: KoF tournaments, collaborative missions alongside the Ikari squad, and life in general being hectic. The last point he attributed to be mostly Kula’s fault. She was the one always getting them mixed up in something annoying, after all.

Stretched out on a towel on a semi-remote strip of sand, K’ was starting to drift off into a nap. The warmth of the sun, gentle lapping of waves, and cool, salt-scented breeze were doing wonders in lulling him towards sleep. He’d always wondered about that; why it was that the beach soothed him the way it did. There was always some memory or another relating to it lurking at the fringes of his consciousness, trying to make itself known. He could never quite grasp them though. If they didn’t shy away on their own or slip away upon waking, he himself usually suppressed them. It was his mind’s way of protecting itself, he’d been told by Maxima and Whip both, and that with time and patience, the memories would come back to him. A sensible assessment, but one that didn’t make him feel any less frustrated.

He was right on the cusp of remembering something (At least he thought he was; what else could little hands doing plowing… something… small through the sand mean, otherwise?), before his doze was interrupted. K’ twitched at the shadow blocking the sun. Blinked blearily a few times behind his shades before setting his sights on the interloper. He wasn’t really sure who he’d been expecting, but it certainly wasn’t his one-time KoF teammate. He rolled his neck, the vertebrae releasing a couple of satisfying clicks, to wake himself up better. He then pulled his shades down a fraction to flash Benimaru a mildly annoyed look.

“There a reason you’re blocking my sun?”

Medieval/Fantasy Starters II Accepting

Tim stands beside Nikaido, still adjusting to the knowledge that he is standing beside one of the best fighters in the world-- and someone about whom his boyfriend speaks constantly-- as he fights the urge to fidget with his cape-- or stare. Because the guy is... fascinating, really.

He's magnetic, brilliant, charming, and disarmingly flamboyant, as if he's unafraid to be underestimated. Or-- that's not quite it...

It's like he wants to be underestimated.

Which is the reason that Tim is also infinitely grateful that his suits are insulated.

"...Yeah. I get that." He peeks at him from the corners of his eyes. "Listen, if you... ever need backup-- I know you know a bunch of crazy good fighters through your tournaments, but... You've got help in Gotham, okay?"
