All good cooks, like all great artists, must have an audience worth cooking for. . . A sudden unseasonal rains, and you have ilish in your plate, couldn't have asked for a better start to weekend. The next 10 days is going to be a celebration to welcome the Bengali New Year by @ggearoma . . They have always surprised me with the variations and experiments it has tried out with the cuisine and today's Bhuna Ilish was refresher for me. They have some great offerings on their menu from both parts of Bengal. . . Keep following @bongfooodie for a lip smacking journey across the globe. . . #hilsafish #bengalifoods #ilishsetter #hyderabadblogger #hyderabadrains #hilsa #bengalicuisines #foodblogger #hilsalove #monsoonseason #hilsarmy #ilishmaach #bengalifoodfestival #bengalifoodie #bongfooodie #bemgalinewyear #poilabaisakh #bengalifoodlover #unseasonalrains #bengalicuisineisthebest #monsoons #ilish #bengalifood #ilishbhapa #hilsafestival #bengalicuisinefordinner #summerrain #bengalicuisine #bengalifoodblogger (at GGE Aroma - Good Food - Great Taste) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwLINi1lIv-/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=10jgfzju9cw1k

PAYESH YUMMM!!! . . Hyderabad's first seafood restaurant, @oceansbasket is hosting a Bengali Food Festival on a la carte featuring a wide range of menu from the Bengal Kitchen. . . I happened to visit yesterday with my group of friends to try lobster and some of their seafood. After a hearty meal, we asked to settle the bill. In the meantime, the chef offered us to try the payesh (rice pudding) and all of us bowled over by the taste and off course the presentation. It was a perfect ending to our meal. . . I'm pretty sure the Bengali dishes which are being served would also adhere to the same quality and care. So food lovers in Hyderabad, don't miss out on the bengali seafood delights till 15th April. . . Keep following @bongfooodie for a tantalizing food journey across the geography. . . #bongfooodie #foodlikerzz #food #dish #cuisine #bengalifoodfestival #bengalifood #rabri #comfortfood #eating #ricekheer #foodporn #ricepudding #tasty #payesh #eat #hungry #oceansbasket #yummy #hyderabadblogger #sweet #photography #foodgasm #instafood #dinner #foodpic #foodpics #instagood #delicious #foodblogger (at Ocean's Basket) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwAKDWjFyON/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1wozws49ckp7f

K A T L A M A A C H E R G A N G A J A M U N A It's no surprise that Bengali food gives an orgasmic pleasure and anything promising I can travel miles to taste the authentic flavours of it . . When @sucharita_swati invited me for the trials of Bengali Food Festival at GGE Aroma Restaurant, I was a bit skeptical considering I will have to travel 40 kms. However, she assured me that it would be worth it and I won't be disappointed. . . Yesterday, I made it for the evening slot and OMG, I was pleasantly surprised that they are indeed doing walk the talk. They had pre-decided the menu for us and each every thing was quite unique to taste and unquestionably worthy. As a part of the festival promotion, they would be offering array of dishes from undivided Bengal on à la carte. . . On my plate is Katla Macher Ganga Jamuna, a dish from 'Opar Bangla' (East Bengal or now Bangladesh). Two flavours served one dish, one a tangy tamarind flavour and the other having the pungent mustard fizz. . . Keep following @bongfooodie for the updates of upcoming festivals and special events. . . #GGEBengaliFest #GGEaromarestaurant #kompally #foodporn #katlamaach #indianfish #fishcurry #maachertok #indiancarp #foodgasm #oparbangla #bangladesh #bengalifood #eastbengal #bengalifoodfestival #foodpromo #tasteofbengal #callofbengal #yummy #dinner #bloggerstable #blogging #bloggerlife #dineout #zomatoin #swiggy #seafood #fishtails @ggearoma (at GGE Aroma - Good Food - Great Taste) https://www.instagram.com/p/BtTU90EHfND/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1w6qk955e61rw

Jhaal Muri has been an incandescent part of a Bengali's life. Right from the corner of your colony to the high streets of London, it has travelled a long long way. According to Pritha Sen, food writer and historian, jhal muri first grew popular on the streets of Kolkata, the former capital of the British Raj, during World War II. Last week, I got an opportunity to experience a unique experiment taken up by International Institute of Hotel Management (@iihmhotelschools) in association with West Bengal Tourism (@westbengaltourism) to take Bengali cuisine to all it's campuses in the form of a Food Festival. The festival featured bengali dishes cooked by the students of IIHM, Hyderabad. Though it will take a lot of guidance & preparation to match the authenticity of the food, but big thumbs up for the young budding team for putting up great effort to create an atmosphere of bangaliana. Look forward to many more such innovative events from the team. Keep following @bongfooodie for interesting event snippets as well as food stories from across the globe. @wbtourism . . @prilaga #westbengaltourism #bengalifood #bengalifoodlover #bloggersgetsocial #jhalmuri #foodpornshare #jhalmuriexpress #bloggerslife #foodblogger #jhaalmudi #experiencebengal #wbtourism #jhaalmuri #iihmhyderabad #foodieblogger #blogger #foodfestival #bloggerlife #foodie #foodporn #gobengal #bengalifoodfestival #prilaga #bongfooodie (at IIHM Hyderabad) https://www.instagram.com/p/BneHWpVHxPZ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1qiv4jl1p68xk
