oh absolutely man. ben is like, crazy loyal ! he's an actual dog - he's friendly, he's playful, he can be trained like one, he does his best to protect his world + those he cares about ! and, best of all, he's sooo eager to please and gets all happy when miguel shows him the slightest hint of approval. i mean, it's understandable. earning miguel's approval isn't that easy.

and contrary to popular belief, ben isn't dumb. he's a spider-man - if a clone - and he's observant, he's clever. he picks up on the things that miguel approves of and pushes himself to his limit to earn miguels approval.

if there's one thing miguel loves, it's obedience - and ben is an overeager dog, more than eager to please and obey if it means miguel gives him a treat.

I'm just hoping you didn't want me to answer that in character because whew I'd need a starter with a little more context to latch onto, I think. Well! Look, aesthetically Miguel and Ben look great together, my eyes would be pleased to see it. But for a story that's got more for it going thematically than pure smut I'm not sure. But full disclosure it's mostly because I don't like Miggy all that much, personality wise - neither in the Spiderverse movie nor the comics (in which he is very different from what I've read but still somewhat unpleasant in his own way). No hate tho! He's had good stories and is a valuable character (and his suit is fire and he's a vampire sometimes, I think I don't have to say more lol). But when I ship I only do it with two characters I both love so Ben99 stuff is nothing I'm actively looking for. Never say never tho maybe I just haven't read the right story with him yet.

Cooking up some Miguel and Ben tk hcs cause i like them Very very much

Lee Ben + ler Miguel

Ben is a horribly squirmy and whiny lee. Not so much in cute little high pitched titters. Rather, ben complains to high heaven, groaning on and on about how Miguel is torturing him. Similar to how he wallows about his dark past.

Its all in good fun though, Miguel can always tell when Ben stops having a good time. Ben always plays up the dramatics too, he finds it a little funny to pretend that he’s being ravaged rather than tickled.

Keeping with the theme they often have unnecessarily goofy chase sequences. With ben running for his life, climbing on walls swinging across platforms. And Miguel fighting tooth and nail to catch up. Most other spider people think that ben did something to anger miguel, but the two of them know he just wants something to gnaw at.

I think Ben’s favorite place to be tickled is the backs of his ribs, because Miguel always pulls ben close to his chest before dragging his talons up and down the spot. Which allows ben to nestle his face into Miguel’s neck to hide his laughter. (Ben is a big cuddlebug but you didn’t hear that from me)

Another thing Miguel and ben do is Miguel always traces at the fabric where bens hoodie ends and suit begins, teasing ben about how if he didn’t want Miguel to trace his nearly bare stomach, ben should start to wear longer sweatshirts. It always gets ben blushing and sputtering, trying to excuse the lack of fabric by either practicality or some sort of badass cool factor that scares off enemies.

Final thought about lee Ben. When Miguel notices ben flexing excessively, he will strut over and ask to feel his biceps, knowing full well ben is ticklish there. Miguel will squeeze and drag his claws up and down bens arms for a few seconds before giving ben an overly exaggerated compliment about how “wow you really are strong aren’t you.”. Miguel then turns on his heel to leave, and ben is stuck standing there secretly hoping for more. Which leads him to follow Miguel around like a puppy for the rest of the day

Lee Miguel + ler Ben

Miguel puts up much less of a verbal fight and more of a physical one. Only if he wants to though. Miguel typically only gets fighty if you surprise him with tickling. But if you offer or ask him first he’s much more agreeable and well behaved.

For instance Ben, looking to cause trouble, decided to tase Miguels sides one day while he wasn’t paying attention. He only got a surprised yelp from Miguel before having his feet swept up from underneath him, getting pinned by Miguel, and subsequently getting every ticklish spot on his torso brutalized before Miguel arrogantly announced that Ben had learned his lesson.

This occurred a few more times before one day, while sneaking into his office to surprise Miguel again, ben witnessed something that changed his view on tickling Miguel completely. Lyla had approached Miguel, commenting about the tension in his shoulders. The AI then so very confidently asked Miguel if she could tickle his back. Miguel wordlessly nodded after a few moments pause. Ben stood there in awed silence, watching and Miguel smiled and chuckled from the gentle wiggling of lylas fingers, and how he stood so very still for her.

It took ben a couple weeks to grow the courage to ask Miguel if it was okay to tickle him. What if he was only okay with lyla doing it? What if Miguel thought he was being weird? Doubt filled thoughts pervaded bens psyche as he began to walk towards Miguel’s office. Miguel was busy working but, when wasn’t he?

As soon as ben stepped through the door Miguel acknowledged his presence, and ben shuffled towards him as he spoke. Awkwardly asking Miguel if he would be okay with ben tickling him “you know cause- well you torture me so much I think its only fair that we make it even.”

Ben grimaced through his justicification only to see Miguels deep maroon eyes looking at him, a look of neither disgust nor anger.

“Give me 15 minutes to finish up”

That encounter sort of jumpstarted a newfound closeness with Miguel, opposite to bens endless unintentional squirming, Miguel often held still the best he could, unless they agreed to have a sort of tickle fight. Then Miguel would twist and turn and grab at bens limbs. But on quiet days, were ben would just trace his sides, or scratch under his chin. Miguel stood relatively still, aside from twitching.

Miguel always gets sleepy after getting tickled, regardless of intensity. Which almost always means that he pulls ben into a sort of cuddle while he rests his eyes. Ben loves it, he loves hearing Miguels gentle breathing and purrs.

Ben loves his new closeness with Miguel, he hasn’t really had such a friendly, physically comfortable relationship like this one. The play fighting or the joking comments. All of it makes him feel safe around Miguel. And what is friendship if it isnt trust?
