OTTO Motives is one the funniest Ben 10 episodes I have ever seen. Kevin takes Rook, an officer of the space police, to a car show that is tiptoeing the lines of illegality and both him and Argit instantly try and jump their old boss who double-crossed them back in the Null Void. They didn't know he was there, they just saw him and started kicking his ass. Then this all turns out to be a part of said ex-boss's master plan (how did he know Kevin and Argit were going to be here? who fucking knows) to get near the expensive cars and sell them off. Rook and Kevin then have to call Ben, who is in the middle of dealing with a device that could EXPLODE THE UNIVERSE, to come in and stop this plot of a sci-fi comedy movie, while he has no idea what's going on or who the fuck he's even fighting. It's so funny for no reason.

Season 6 and 7, since I binged both this weekend :D
- What a return to form! A few low points, for sure, but for the most part that was a much needed improvement over S5!
- I think S3 and S4 are a little more consistently good, but I do think S6 is my favorite yet!
- I've gotta say, I think "And Then There Were None + And Then There Was Ben" could possibly be my favorite Ben 10 thing...ever? It's so perfectly paced, so rife with all the things about Ben 10 I love, so bold and enthusiastic about expanding the best parts of the lore...it's perfect, right up there with best episodes of Classic and Alien Force. This alone is worth watching Omniverse, in my opinion.
- The Rooters have some problems, but they're a really cool concept! I don't approve of how much their inclusion retcons established lore - especially when it comes to Kevin himself - but overall it's an excellent concept.
- On that note, Universe v. Tennyson was also a great concept, though it was a little disappointing in its execution. It really should've been a serious two-parter, not the gag episode it ended up being. It was fun, don't get me wrong, but not what I would've liked.
- Kevin's temporary heel-face turn actually made me angry but it was very rewarding to see him reaffirm his friendship and love for Ben and Gwen <3
- Clyde Five was very dumb but also kinda fun? I can't believe I liked such a dumb concept hahaha
- Legit loved the Mr. Baumann episode.
- Kai x Ben continues to have zero chemistry and Fight at the Museum has only made it worse with Spanner/Ken trying to force things (which, fair, he wouldn't exist without them, though I think Ben 10 canon has previously established that any contact with the future makes that future an alternate timeline so he should be safe, no?)
- The Vreedles are only fun in moderation so Vreedlemania was waaay too much for me
- Taking on Mad Ben was awesome! I do wish, though, that Omniverse had paid at least as much attention to the other Omnitrix wielders as it has to Ben 23 (whom I love), Mad Ben, and Ben 10,000. At the very least, I wish Gwen 10 had gotten the same kind of focused arc, to round out the heroic side.
- I just realized Skurd hasn't appeared at all and I'm honestly kinda disappointed, having watched the first couple eps of S8. I thought we'd get a lot longer with him, I really enjoy that concept and character :/ I guess that's what fanfiction is for.
Watching Ben 10: Omniverse for the first time (thoroughly spoiled on it for fanfic writing purposes though) and it’s been pretty enjoyable so far - fights are great, and the art style, while definitely a departure, really works for me in motion - but every single episode has felt like it has massive pacing issues? Awkward pauses and cuts all over the place?
I am so confused...it’s hard to describe, but it kinda feels like talk shows at the start of the pandemic, writing content for a studio audience that wasn’t there anymore? Holding for laughter and applause from nobody, y’know? Very distracting 🤔
