Modern Belle

I'll be honest I'm pretty tired and disheartened at the moment. Still no job on the horizon, I appreciate every like and warm comment on my art on social media but wow am I tired of being stressed. So to cheer myself off and take a little bit more pressure off myself I decided to visit the characters who inspired me to keep all this running for over two years. The Heroines who got this whole ball rolling. But this time (so I do less research and can recharge a little) in modern clothing!!

For Belle I decided to lean into her book-obsession and keep her in the realm of a vintage-inspired "dark" academia fashion. Her long skirt, collared shirt, and most importantly her ribbed pullover/knit sweater with puffy sleeves. All in shades of off-gold. Which you tubers do you think she watches?

I’m going on my first Disney cruise next year (super excited) and I’ve decided that I’m going to Disneybound every day, and I came up with an outfit idea (well, two outfits) and I really want to share it with you guys. During the day, I’ll wear a white tshirt with a blue hoodie/cardigan or something on top along with a blue scrunchie tying my hair back into a ponytail, but during the evening (formal night because it’d make the most sense), I’d wear a yellow dress, my hair would be in a bun and I’d wear red rose earrings… do you get the inspiration? I was so excited when I thought of it because Belle’s always been my favourite Disney Princess and I want to have fun when I’m Disneybounding, and it’s for a similar reason that another day I want to wear a super casual pink outfit during the day but switch to a nicer blue dress in the evening, sort of like Cinderella’s transformation from the destroyed dress that used to be her mother’s to the Fairy Godmother’s magic silver/white/blue dress for the ball.

Disney released these amazing ily 4ever dolls and I’m in LOVE. I already drew the outfit on Doe and I decided to customize the actual doll too! I chopped the hair and painted some freckles and she’s perfect.

As you may be able to see, fitted ily dresses aren’t perfect on RH. The bust line ends up much too high but you can’t put the dress lower due to RH dolls having much higher hips. Fortunately Belle makes sense with an off the shoulder look.

Disney World Trip Outfits

I FINALLY finished all the outfits for Rose and Penny for our Disney World trip at the end of this year! I know I've posted them piecemeal as I've made them, but here is the master post of all of them! :)

Travel Day outfit--Disney World print dress for the plane rides! (Matching dresses for Penny and Rose!)

Mickey Balloon pajamas for resort room slumber parties! (Matching PJ's for Penny and Rose!)

Ariel (Penny) and Rapunzel (Rose) swimsuits--it might be too cold to swim (and I would never take an AG doll into a pool) but I thought we still might be able to get some cute pics by the pools :)

I couldn't decide whether to focus on Toy Story or Star Wars for Hollywood Studios so--outfit changes! XD Jessie (Penny) and Bo Peep (Rose) from Toy Story, and Sabine (Penny) and Ezra (Rose)from Star Wars Rebels Disneybounds!

Epcot Day 2: Ratatouille (Penny) and Figment (Rose) Disneybounds!

And for Magic Kingdom Day 2 outfits you will probably recognize from the past but I wanted to include the whole trip wardrobe, Ariel's blue dress (Penny) and Rapunzel (Rose).

This has been a LONG journey but I've had so much fun working on this project, thanks for coming along for the ride! I can't wait to get pics of the girls in the Parks having adventures later this year :)

One of my favorite spots in Disneyland is PixieHallow. Where you can visit Tinker Bell ✨ I love this area and I love seeing our favorite sassy fairy in her own home.
