A while back on my way home from school at night, I passed by a middle aged homeless man and he shouted “You have a nice ass!” at me, but instead of getting angry without thinking I just happily turned around and said “Why thank you that’s awesome!” It was like a switch turned realizing what he’d done and happily said back “Oh ...Well I hope you have a wonderful night!” This isn’t on par with physical catcalling, but sometimes responding thankfully and powerfully switches the dynamic and makes them feel unable to do it anymore like yeah?
